Buckwheat Noodle in Cold Broth / 물냉면

Love the interior of the restaurant, reminds me of a typical BBQ restaurant you would see in Korea. Service was great, they give you a lottt of portions which I appreciated! 물냉면 Nagmyeon was just OK, I probably would not get again however. The broth of the soup is a bit flavorless. Meat was good! Delicious, but I think it could have more juice in its flavor. Side dishes 반찬 were good. Overall, enjoyed the experience. Nice place to consider for some KBBQ in Virginia!

This was my first time trying this type of restaurant. I must say, cooking my own meat at a restaurant will take some getting used to but overall, I enjoyed the experience. I think $38.99 is a fair price for all you can eat. I like that the portions are small so too much is not wasted. This was also my first encounter with the delivery robot. That was cool. I don't like that it has other people's food on it though. I was sitting close to the kitchen so my food didn't have to travel too far but, I wouldn't want my food traveling across the room and making stops at multiple tables before getting to me. I'm from the South and I need a bit of flavor so I did add Salt and Pepper to the items while cooking. The salad dressing had no flavor. I ended up using the yum yum sauce as a dressing. The dumplings were good. The cucumber salad was also good. My favorite hot item was the steak and shrimp. The brisket was mostly fat and the thin pork belly was like Prosciutto. My only suggesting is serving the noodles closer to when the hot items are ready. They get stiff if they just sit. Oh, and I think you need separate tongs for seafood, pork, chicken, and beef. I was worried about cross contaminating. I'd try this again.

We went for dinner around 6:00 pm on a Sunday with a party of 10. We were split between two tables, but honestly, service never skipped a beat. We waited briefly to be seated, but that was only because a few people from our group were late. Once we were in, everything moved smoothly. We did AYCE Option B ($36.99), and it was 100% worth it. The extra steak options alone justify the price. Meats highlights: Spicy pork belly - this is the reason I come to Korean BBQ. My favorite every single time. If you're unsure what to get, start here. Spicy pork bulgogi - the surprise of the night. Big flavor, great spice, and the thin cut of pork really held up to the marinade. If you're ordering bulgogi, this is the one. LA Galbi - excellent, flavorful, and absolutely worth upgrading for. Beef hanging tender - smaller cuts that took seasoning really well. A little sesame oil, salt, garlic sauce... chef's kiss. Steak - lean, but not my favorite. Even with seasoning, it could use something to help break down the connective tissue. Hawaiian beef bulgogi - fine, but there are better options on the menu. Spicy octopus - this one's on me. We didn't cook it well, and by the time it came up to temp, most of the flavor had run into the drip tray. I like a good char and caramelized sugars, which didn't happen this time--but I'd try it again. Sides were on point: kimchi, steamed eggs, stir-fried fish cakes, cucumber salad, pickled radish, japchae, fried dumplings, and seafood pancake. The fish cakes are still my favorite--I honestly don't even know what they are, but I get them every time. Kimchi and cucumber salad never miss either. Drinks were solid too--Sapporo beer and peach-flavored rice wine, both did what they were supposed to do. Service really stood out. Our servers were on it--grill was changed twice, drip tray about three times, and they were proactive without hovering. They worked as a team, made sure food kept coming, and even reorganized plates when things got crowded. Ventilation was great too--the vent drops right over the grill, so smoke was never an issue. The space was surprisingly not packed, noise level was moderate, and everything was clean. Seating worked well for a large group. Parking is pay-to-park since it's right next to the UMD campus, but it was easy. We paid on our phones inside the restaurant, though there's also a kiosk outside. I like this location slightly more than Ellicott City because you're more hands-on with the cooking, which adds to the experience for me. Would I come back? Absolutely. If this Honey Pig existed when I lived in College Park, I probably never would've left.

I've been to quite a few of these Korean BBQ spots around the DMV area so I have something to base my opinion off of. Honey Pig just became apart of the College Park area. On a mid-week evening I decided to take my foodie talents here because why not! Parking is tough, it's a college town and well it's always busy, get ready to download another app and pay 5-8$ for parking. (I'm old enough to remember when parking was FREE.) The set up is giving CUTE! The service was fantastic! Now in my humble opinion, the food was just okay. I didn't like it at all and ate just a little of everything to taste it. I won't get into it because it just wasn't good to me. The shrimp was the only thing I did like and I've definitely had better experiences at other Korean BBQ spots. Don't get me wrong, it's edible but my bougie palate didn't not approve. There are literally hundreds of these places, I'll definitely try them all just not this one again. Should you come try? Yes! Absolutely! Definitely worthy of a try!

Love love love. Did I say love? You just need to come here. They have 2 options for AYCE and option B is the best of course. Come hungry! I love how they have comfy sofas for you to wait for the rest foe your party to show up. It's a fun spot, friendly for couples, groups, or even on your own! From the appetizers, you gotta try the fried dumplings, seafood pancake, corn cheese, steamed egg, fish cake, japchae, and all the pickled items. Actually, just get 1 of everything! The honey pig sauce is my #1 although their yum yum sauce is much improved and don't forget the simple sesame oil with salt or the ssamjang. Other kbbq spots have tried to make their own HP sauce but it's just not the same. Be prepared to cook for yourself although it is kinda fun and communal. Our favorite meats are the hanger steak, beef brisket, bulgogi, and thinly sliced pork belly. Honorable mention is the spicy pork bulgogi. The shrimp was tasty but you do have to get your hands dirty FYI. Our server, Ben, was amazing! He kept the food coming! I'm so full right now and still eating as I type this. Come visit soon, you won't be disappointed!

Had an amazing time here! The all-you-can-eat for $30 is a fantastic deal given the huge variety of options available. Every cut of meat we tried was delicious, and the food quality is top-notch. The service was excellent--the waiters and staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. It has a warm, inviting ambiance that makes it a great spot for a gathering with friends. While the music is mostly K-pop (which isn't personally my favorite), the overall vibe and food more than make up for it. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a solid AYCE spot!

I've been a fan of Korean cuisine since way before it became cool, but somehow managed to skip the OG kbbq chain, maybe due to the tepid reviews. But when they opened a store in College Park with AYCE, that knocked down some hurdles, so I gritted my teeth and braved the congestion on a Sunday when the voracious parking enforcement takes a day off to pray instead of prey. The store is located in the old open shopping center, across Route 1 from Ledo's. Fairly small for a kbbq joint, dark walls, TVs galore playing kpop, but at a moderate volume. Hoods over the grill at each table, so you won't go home smelling of kbbq (not that's necessarily a bad thing). Several differences from many such places: no tablet, order from your server. No sauce bar, 3 are on the table and others may be ordered. Many sides that are often upcharges are included, for instance pancakes and steamed eggs. You also have to order bahn chan from the server, and delivery is quick and cordial. Meats are still ordered from the server, but delivered by a robot. Take them off the tray, and tap the button to send it home. The good: solid kimchi, buckwheat noodles, and pickled radish. Barrel stool seats are a lot more comfortable than they look. Service is quick and cordial. I will note that they never offered to change the grill. The Bad: the Meats just didn't have much flavor. Of course, I've been spoiled by upscale places like Chadol. Tables are small. My solo selections filled 2/3 of a 4-top. The Ugly: bulgogi was poorly cut, I had to use the shears. Thick pork belly had a lot of gristle. Spicy pork belly, which should be meat candy, was blah. This place is clearly dumbed down for the student market. It might be a suitable first stop on a Korean style pub crawl, like the unlamented MeatUp. I wouldn't return just for the food. Merely OK.

I'm thankful I made a reservation because this place was PACKED. I strongly recommend everyone looking to come here on a weekend does their due diligence and reserves a spot for the night. The restaurant is experimenting with later hours going until 12am, instead of 11 like it says on the website, which is awesome. The experience is more hands off by the staff and that allows you to have more control of the cooking and prepping process. I found the service to be attentive and quick when needed, and the food to be delicious and portioned well. There are two menus to choose from, with one being priced at $32 and the other for $40. The differences are the quantities and qualities of meats and whether or not they are marinated for long periods of time. Aside from the college atmosphere due to the proximity to the university of Maryland, the HoneyPig has a rich and exotic vibe and decorum. Highly recommend.

So excited to have another kbbq place in College Park campus! Meat quality is good - super fresh beef and delicious!! Love the sauce options. Love how it's no tip too that makes me a broke college student very happy. Wish the service was a bit faster. We learned to get over this by just ordering bunch of meats earlier beforehand. Vibes are super good too like a pocha. Fun to go with friends and enjoy kpop and drinks and food! Also seats open up into storage!! Also take use of the aprons hung on the side :) Also fun tip!! Order the tteokbokki (AYCE) and grill the rice cake with cheese on top it's so yummy and crispy :)) BTW parking lowkey sucks because you have to pay. Otherwise you might get ticketed!!

The food was good. It's been a while since I've been to one of their locations. Overall, it's still good food, and the atmosphere is the same. The robot server helps make the service feel unique. The transition to the AYCE menu is a good thing, in my opinion. So give it a try, grill up your own servings, and enjoy the company you have. Remember you're going to smell like you ate BBQ.

Huge place did not expect it to have so much seating and room from the outside but it definitely was spacious. Service was great from the wait staff, very friendly and quick with service. Upon seating you get a small bowl of steamed rice which is comforting and delicious with the meats and sides. Plenty of options from beef, pork, chicken and shrimp. I wish they did have more chicken options for both sides as I do no eat pork and side A was heavy with pork options but nonetheless the sides were delicious and so were the drink options. There wasn't much space on the table so we had to put some stuff on the floor and the grill started to become crusty and black with the residue of the meats cooking and would burn. Other than that cool place to come to with family friends or even a date.

The ramen in my opinion was decent/average: I would only recommend it if you're craving ramen and there's nothing else in the area. One cocktail I tried was not good, and I waited for it to be watered down to be drinkable so I stuck with the Sapporo. You can only order 4 different meats at a time, and can only order with the staff. There is a self serve station of sauces and sides, including fried rice, seafood boil, fries and more. They have a small private parking lot, and there is some street parking next to the private lot. They also have K-pop music videos playing on their TVs. Their tables only hold 6 people so if you have a bigger group, you will be split up. Their menu is on a QR code.

I went to this place for lunch September 2026, but it regretfully is not a place I feel comfortable…read morerecommending. A friend and I had planned to have lunch together to try out this place, but fortunately for her, she had an appointment that overran so I went solo. The food was mediocre and was maybe 2 stars, but the pricing made it seem 1 star overall. The pricing was very high and seemed misleading which will be described below, but suggesting a 36% gratuity for a single guest seems questionable for minimal service. A description by the restaurant itself notes in yelp it is a "Korean-style" barbecue restaurant, but one may wonder if it's really authentic Korean from the taste and freshness of some dishes, like the pork and kimchi. The restaurant name "Iron Pig" looks confusing from two separate local successful Korean chain names, "Iron Age" and "Honey Pig", respectively, but Iron Pig was not as good or fresh. They have a "Menu A" all you can eat (AYCE) lunch at $29.99, and a "Menu B" AYCE lunch at $39.99. The Menu B has only about 3 additional grill-able items than Menu A as: NY steak, galbi pork, and shrimp. They also list 3 side options as part of the $39.99 including steamed eggs dish, but customers are only allowed 2 of the 3 options. An additional steamed egg dish would be $6. NOTE: their AYCE says they REQUIRE at least 2 diners, so solo diners BEWARE. A solo diner is allowed AYCE, but is prohibited from ordering the $29.99 Menu A and MUST order the more expensive $39.99 Menu B. Also, the solo diner is not allowed a single one of the 3 free side options, unless willing to pay extra. Normally, I choose to tip at least 15-20% if the service is passable. Yet, when I received the bill, they had already automatically included an 18% gratuity in the total amount printed. Normally, an automatic 18% gratuity is only included for large parties, but this was for a single diner. Also, they did not offer any military or senior discount. After providing my payment card, they brought back the receipt for my final signature. To my surprise, at the bottom of the final receipt, it asked for ANOTHER GRATUITY where it said "Additional Tips" with suggestions of an additional 18% to 25% to what was already automatically added and included before, bringing the "suggested tips" to at least 36% of the combined cost of the food and tax, not just the food price alone. After various colleagues heard of this service and pricing structure, they have advised me to not return. Upon looking at other reviews, I an confirm this is still the practice at this place as of September 2026. I hope they will improve.
