After hanging out at the Smithsonian for the 250th Celebration we worked up a good appetite and this place hit the spot. It is in a residential area in River Dale. Know there may be a wait to get in as you can see and I have heard there have been times of an hour wait. Also, I heard they can run out of food because they are so good so you may want to call if it is later in the day. Delicious!!! I had the pulled pork sandwich which was amazing full of great flavor without bbq sauce. So sauce is optional! Their Mac n Cheese was also amazing and I don't usually eat it. I had their Coleslaw which I also felt was very good one of my top 7. The Spicy Cheddar Sausage... ok not to my liking was a one and done for me. Really not spicy and is a bit fatty for myself. Did I tell you about their Mac n Cheese :). Keep supporting these local eateries especially these that do such a great job!

Service- Very Nice! They were so wonderful to help with our order. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach and I had a hard time cutting down everything that I wanted to order. Tip1: if you are ordering for a group, ask for additional trays when picking up your order! Tip2: sandwiches are bang for your buck!! Food: Pulled pork sandwich-Juicy! It was one of the best sandwiches I've had. The pork was moist and flavorful. You have the option to put BBQ sauce on it at the table but I don't think you need to. Beef rib- Showstopper. Like fajitas at a Mexican restaurant, this beef rib will be a head turner when you walk by. It was fall off the bone tender. Extra fatty with flavor. Mac & cheese- MUST GET! Perfect texture, perfectly cheesy, perfect addition. The cheese pull was worthy of its own picture. Coleslaw-refreshing. With all the heavy food, something refreshing is needed on your plate. It was slightly acidic to cut through the fat of the meat. Cornbread- Classic. You can't go wrong with this as a side but since it was sweet, I had it as a dessert instead. Spicy cheddar sausage- little kick. It was actually spicy! The heat was wonderful. The cheese melted with the cook, so I didn't get the experience of the melty cheese. They didn't get the link all the way through the casing, so it was hard to cut it with the plastic knife. On to my next adventure....

Brisket sandwich, corn bread, potato salad and more.

Maryland, College Park area: love this place! Thick carved juicy brisket sandwich which comes with coleslaw and pickles is so satisfying! Added a small amount of their standard BBQ sauce to the sandwich. since I had a couple of sides, I had leftover sandwich, good for a second meal. Potato salad is creamy, with mustard and herbs. Corn salad has a ton of flavor. Corn bread is sweet and has a cake texture. Writing this review is making me hungry. Looking forward to my next visit

AMAZING! We've been meaning to try this place for a while and it didn't disappoint! The meat is so tender and juicy! It's hard for me to pick which one I like better, but loved it both. The mac and cheese was amazing too! I definitely plan on coming back! The brisket and ribs are creekstone sourced and halal. The lines were long but it moves pretty quickly! The staff are super friendly and help move the lines along. Seating is limited, but people finish quickly and leave so you can find seating inside and outside. The ambiance is lively and really cool! I definitely recommend it!

Finally getting a chance to check this place out.

Business lunch yesterday. My guy was fiending for this place (again) after I turned him on to it a year ago. I wanted something closer, but endured the drive. For some reason it wasn't nearly as good although everything appeared the same. I had the Jalapeno sausage and a dino rib and neither were particularly exceptional as had been the case in year's past. Not sure what's changed - but something has. The rib was overseasoned and the sausage lacked substance. I took them both to-go after tasting. Still good service and still minimal parking options. Wishing DC had more/better BBQ options.

Everything was absolutely delicious! The closest to Texas bbq in Maryland. The brisket and ribs had just ran out when we went, will be back to try that. Otherwise my personal favorites were the sausage and chicken. ALL of the sides were a 10/10. A must try if you love bbq!!

I recently visited after a brief hiatus. I forgot how much I really like this place. I first got introduced to them through a online Yelp event during the pandemic. Since then, they've expanded with a DC location and they've won awards. This is all warranted! They're just that good. I've recommended this place to many people and they have all been pleased with the food. Parking is still a little tight, but there's a parking lot across the street. I got the prime brisket during my recent visit! It was so good! Drooling thinking about it. If you haven't been to 2Fifty Texas, you need to!

To start of with the food here was excellent!!!! There was a parking lot across the street but it was small and pretty packed. We hawaiian line outside to get food but it moved fairly quickly. The inside was small but comfortable and there was another section which I believe may have been for carry out. Once we got inside, the line continued for us to order. Ww sat down and ate and then realized we wanted more food, so we were able to order at the table instead of waiting in the line again. We tried the beef ribs, which was one large slab of rib. It was very flavorful and tender. sit easily pulled off the bone to take leftovers home. We tried the brisket sandwich and equally delicious. I decided to try a special they had a brisket tostadas and it was one of the best things Ive eaten. The different textures with the meat, vegetables and tostada were very balanced and fun to eat. the flavors from the slaw for the vegetables was citrusy and refreshing with the meat. We also preferred the wings to go and I didn't find them that tasty when reheated. They were mostly smoky flavored, but I'd like to retry them when they are fresh.

We found this spot after my son's graduation in Hyattsville. It had good reviews and we were in for some good barbecue so... We were a group of three adults and four children and decided to order different items since we didn't live in the area and weren't sure if we would be back. I live in California and my son and his family live in Texas. A lady in line, who visited frequently, told us some items to try as well. I ordered a Wagyu Brisket sandwich with Brisket beans and mac n cheese as the sides. I also ordered 1/2 pound of spare ribs. My son ordered a brisket sandwich, barbecue chicken, corn bread, coleslaw. Brisket and ribs super tender and barbecue sauce was good, but I'm from Kansas and Kansas City barbecue spots have better sauce Their sauce was a little too thin and ran off the meat. Everything was smoked to perfection except for the chicken. I heard that the chicken was kind of flavorless and a little dry. I didn't have any, but my son, his wife and kids did and so that was something that we wouldn't order again. Very nice and pleasant employees and decent prices although the sides were too small of portions.

They have the meatsssss! I would come back for the pork spare ribs! No sauce needed.

SO and I arrived 5 minutes prior to opening on a frigid February 2026 Saturday. We were the second party in line and the people just kept coming. The door was opened for us and we were immediately greeted. The dine-in space was bigger than we anticipated with four large multi-seating picnic tables/benches, 2 pub tables/chairs and 4 standard tables/chairs. They do also have outdoor picnic tables/chairs. The smokey bbq smell tantalizes your nose and made our mouth eager to grab some grub:) We ordered an assortment of items and the hits were the pork ribs, jalapeño cheddar sausage, corn bread, brioche roll and banana pudding. One of the co-owners was mingling with customers enjoying their food and ensuring they were happy. We expressed our dislike of the wagyu brisket and pulled pork and he generously brought us a sample of their American brisket and side of pulled pork with crackling. So unexpected and truly appreciated. They take pride in their offerings and it shows. We're already planning our next visit when the weather is nicer.

    Baked beans, beef ribs

I took my teenage niece out for a birthday lunch + shopping day, and she picked 2Fifty Texas BBQ. It had already been on my list, so I was excited she chose it and honestly, great taste runs in the family. We ordered the brisket and beef ribs, which I was very happy about since neither of us eats pork. Shoutout to them for having beef ribs because that's not always a given. For sides, we went with baked beans and mac & cheese. My only real wish? A green vegetable. I was hoping for green beans, collard greens, or even a simple salad. They only had a watermelon salad, which wasn't for me but I'll survive. Now let's talk about the meat. The setup where you grab your own sauces is a win because I like to sample, not drown my food. The brisket was tender and juicy, and the beef rib meat was falling off the bone - clearly cooked with intention and care. The space itself is pretty small. There is outdoor seating, but it was below 25 degrees and had just snowed, so absolutely not. You wait in line to order, then get a number when your food is ready. One thing to know: you can't grab a table until after you've ordered, so don't send someone ahead to hold a seat, it won't work. Overall, the food was delicious and cooked to perfection, and service was quick despite how busy they stay. The menu isn't huge, but it's clear they're constantly turning over fresh food. I'll definitely be back just not too often, because it's a bit pricey and the portions are on the smaller side. Still, if you're in the mood for really good Texas-style BBQ and don't mind a cozy space, this spot is absolutely worth the visit. Cool aunt approved.

    Ginormous Dino Beef Rib!
    Jenaya P.

I get the hype about 2fifty!! I was so excited to come here and I came for a mission and that was to try thier ginormous dino rib! I arrived to 2fifty later in the evening and I was worried that the dino rib would be sold out. The line was somewhat long but it moved fast. Soon as I got to the register, I hesitantly asked the cashier if she still had the dino rib left, she checked and said they have one more left and of course I took it! I also ordered a side of mac and cheese. They gave me a light up button and about 25 minutes later my order was ready. Everything was good! The rib was flavorful, juicy and enough to feed a family of four. The mac and cheese was also good. Restaurant is small with a few tables to dine in. Overall I paid around 50.00 and it was well worth it!!

Excellent BBQ. We went for the Waygu Brisket Waygu (very tender but not much flavor), beef rib (smoky , tender, fatty in the good way and huge) and cheddar sausage (perfection! My son and I make a mission to try the sausage at different BBQ joints and we both have this ideal in our head that hasn't been met--today it was. Squirts of cheese and spice enough to say hello but not enough to burn) We also had the Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes...both very good but wished they had pepper and salt on the table as that would have taken to the next level. Cornbread is average and Texas toast is from a grocery store bag. The sauces: regular is like a Kansas City BBQ sauce and a NC BBQ sauce had a baby. Loved it. The spicy was literally Taco Bell hot sauce with some BBQ seasoning. Honey mustard very mustard forward but good. Overall, amazing and will be back!

We specifically asked for Steak and Cheese Egg Rolls with no mushrooms. By the time we got home, we realized she gave us Jerk Chicken Egg Rolls instead. They were a mess; sauce was all over the container and the fries, and the chicken inside was incredibly dry and overcooked. Surprisingly, the Fried Rice was really good, which isn't the first thing I'd associate with a Caribbean spot. The Jerk Fried Chicken Sandwich was also a standout and one of the best things we had. Our friends ordered the Rasta Pasta, which was very heavy and spicy, and the Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas. They had asked for wings but got dry grilled strips instead, which was disappointing. My Cabbage and Collard Greens were also pretty average--I've definitely had better. Between the order being wrong, the dry chicken, and the distracted service, it just wasn't what I hoped for. The apple and cheddar sandwich sounds good so I'd come back to try it. I didn't see the coffee menu until after placing my order but they do offer espresso and lattes. The cookie was delicious and had a slight salty flavor that complemented it well. The biscuit was good too but tasted healthy. I would order it again. I would revisit Manifest Bread to try more of their menu items. The service was great, there was room to sit inside and there's a dedicated parking lot. I went during the week so I'm not sure if parking is as easily available on the weekends.

Parking is challenging at peak times. The selection of baked goods is varied and fresh. The line to buy items can get long. There's a decent-sized space to "eat-in", should you want. The sweet potato/chili/pistachio bialy is quite a creation, really like it, zings big time. I've never seen that flavor combo in a bialy before and hope they keep making it. The gingerbread with meyer lemon glaze has a very deep ginger flavor that's quite memorable. Not as keen about the breads. The community sandwich loaf is too plain for me and the sourdough breads are tame.

We ordered a chicken salad sandwich and the Hyattsville stack. The stack sandwich is huge but my husband loved it. I loved the chicken salad as it wasn't chicken breast from a can but hand shredded chicken. The chicken salad had herbs and love mixed into it, you can tell. The potato salad I got on the side was great and my husband enjoyed his kale salad. You can get your sandwich turned into a bowl if you'd like or keep it a sandwich. They have day of desserts and they smell amazing. You have various bread choices to have your sandwich made on. I love that turkey bacon is an option and all turkey sandwiches are an option. My tattoo artist highlights this restaurant when you're coming in for a session and I know why now. This little gem is great and they take sandwich making seriously as it's an art for them. We will definitely be back every time I have a session because it's across the street from her shop.

I want to say that sandwiches are the champ. The salad options are great too! It's a small shop so expect to take out and eat outside if you wish or bring it home!
