This place is open all day. It is next to a train station, albeit the kind of strange suburban riverdale area that I don't know sees a ton of commuters. The parking lot is crowded and a bit of a mess. Coming on a weekend meant waiting in line, and it was not a speedy line. The selection was interesting, but they were struggling to keep up with demand. I ordered the last piece of multiple styles of baked goods, which I suspect was upsetting for the people behind me but which was a decision that worked out well for the recipients of my haul. The loaf was richly sour and the butter I got with it tasted cultured, the other pastries and things I tried didn't quite leave the same impression. Maybe coming at a less busy time yields a better selection.

Cardamom bun is good! Glazed so a bit on the sweeter side but the cardamom flavor is great! Spacious inside with seating

I cant believe that this was only my third visit. Ever since I read about Manifest Bread opening shop in Riverdale, I've meant to visit but kept forgetting to until a couple months ago and now I will make a more concerted effort to stop by on my day off. Manifest Bread not only has a neat variety of menu options but, the ambiance!!! It's a cool interior, clean bathrooms, and AMAZING STAFF! I've come twice for breakfast and once for their jambon beurre sandwich. My first breakfast included: - sweet potato bialy: interesting-in-a-good way grouping of ingredients and the crust was crisp - biscuit with butter & jam: biscuit was flaky, crisp, and yet doughy; the right amount of butter, and jam provided tartiness/refreshing bite - olive oil cake: no complaints! My second breakfast included: - biscuit with butter & jam: a must have! - basque cheesecake: I have to be in the mood for cheesecake and I'd aay it was "light and airy" but may not be the best judge here - cardamom bun: last 2 times I came here, the cardamom bun was coated in a thick white frosting, but this time, it was different, so i HAD to go for it and for a fan of cardamom, this was superbub! ABUNDANT amountof cardamom and right amount of moistness! I would have ordered a bialy again but new I was going to have a big lunch so will get it next time. The jambon beurre sandwich was not what I had expected as it was more...flavourful and salty than I would have preferred as I like a plain butter and ham on a baguette sandwich...however, you can taste the quality of the meats used. UPDATE: Went back for breakfast and this time got the mulled apple cider and: - onion poppyseed bialy: I did not need creamcheese with this and it was fine, but if you eat the crust with butter and the apple butter - yum. Crust was on the tough-chew side, but flavor profile was good. Now that I've had it again, will stick to the biscuit. - morning bun: very flaky, crisp, snd the sugar just got all over and me being a messy eater, I felt like I got the sugar all over me and sticky, too. Flavour was great, buuuut... - buttermilk biscuit with butter and apple butter: yum!!!!

We finally made it! I made it my mission to visit Manifest on a Sunday morning post snowstorm for breakfast. When you enter there is an ordering line where you can see all of the of the baked goods they have for the day and make your selections before it's your turn to order. There is coffee, tea, and a wine menu as well. Manifest faces the parking lot and has large windows that get lots of natural sunlight at the table that's right in front. We were lucky enough to get the table right in front which was perfect for such a cold day. My partner and I decided to try the savory danish with a whipped cream cheese onion filling topped with a light cheese served cold (a touch too cold for the weather). We also tried the frittata with potato and I'm not quite sure as the other ingredients were easy to miss, we also tried the homemade hot sauce, which was very spicy! The frittata was served cold as well. We ordered two cookies to go the chocolate chip pecan and ginger molasses both large, soft, and perfect. The ginger had a nice fresh fragrant flavor! Before leaving we met Andrew, the manager and he was super friendly. Overall Manifest was good and we are looking forward to returning soon to try the Pizza!

They don't have holiday flavored lattes but have a few nice flavors. If you want the frittata warmed you have to request it warmed. Nice cafe music was a little loud so can't work there for long without it being bothersome.

DC came out a list of best sourdough breads or something and everyone was commented this shop in the comments that wasn't on the list. So I drove 45 mins from Alexandria to try it. Got there 930am and got the goods. Owner lady helped me and was lovely and nice! Everyone was great and service was great. Got to try their pastries and sesame sourdough. Good stuff all around and sesame bread was great. Sliced them up,froze them and heat up a slice when I want one. So good. Sesame adds a punch to the flavor profile. Well done Manifest. Now I need to try their pizza next...

    Delicious drink!

The decor was lovely and the ambiance represented an upscale experience in my opinion. They even offered free champagne and it was good! My friend and I tried: the Sticky Ribs Suya, Jerk-Braised Short Ribs with Curry Pea Risotto, Oxtail Mac & Cheese, and the Suya-Spiced Lamb Chops. All of the food was absolutely delicious, my only gripe would be that the lamb chops didn't come with enough green beans. The "Up All Night" (their version of an espresso martini) was also pretty good. Next time, I'd opt to get a traditional espresso martini though. Lastly, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was very kind, attentive, and timely. We even left her an extra tip. If I had to make a suggestion, the big ape could be moved elsewhere. It really does take up too much space.

The…read morerestaurant is relocating to Miami, and unfortunately, its sister restaurant Huncho House closed a few months ago as well. Since I've enjoyed both restaurants, I definitely wanted to stop by 1123 one more time before they left. The restaurant is still beautifully decorated and has a really chill vibe. The music was mostly R&B, which fit the atmosphere perfectly. Service was still as great as I remembered it. Our waitress was friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu, and offered some great suggestions when I asked for recommendations. I started with the Laugh Now Cry Never cocktail, which kind of reminded me of a Painkiller. It was very fruity and very sweet, so it's one of those drinks where you need to be careful because it doesn't taste nearly as strong as it actually is. For an appetizer, we got the Jollof Rice Arancini. It was pretty good and definitely satisfying, although I thought it was a little dry and slightly overcooked. Even with that, I still enjoyed it and would probably order it again. My friend ordered the Oxtail Ramen. She thought it was okay overall, but the soy egg was aggressively salty. She had the Chicken Ramen back at 1123's soft opening phase and she enjoyed that one a little more. The Lobster Mashed Potatoes were still really good. They were very buttery and flavorful, and this was definitely one of the sides that stood out to me. The Oxtail Mac & Cheese was a first for me at 1123. I actually liked it much more than the version I had at Huncho House. I really enjoyed the pasta they used, and it was much cheesier. The Scallops with Crab Risotto was my absolute favorite. I'm not a huge scallop person, but I do love a good risotto, and the risotto is definitely the star of this dish. I will say I was slightly disappointed because I had this dish at Huncho House a couple of years ago, and the scallops were much bigger and tasted a little less fishy. Even so, the risotto was so good that the dish was still my favorite of the night. We also had the Plantain Bread Pudding for dessert, and it was delicious. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet, which can sometimes be an issue with bread pudding. It was a really nice way to end the meal. All in all, I'm really sad that 1123 is closing and moving out of state. Although I visit Miami occasionally, there are so many amazing restaurants there that I don't know if I would necessarily go out of my way to seek out a restaurant that I've visited a few times before. But I really enjoyed my experiences at 1123 and Huncho House, and I'm glad I was able to visit one more time before they closed. Best wishes to the 1123 team on their move to Miami. I'll really miss this place.

Our waitress, Lydia, exhibit attentive and efficient service the entire night. She helped us with the menu, checked on us throughout the night, and refilled our drinks. The skin is crispy and the wings are properly seasoned and cooked. We also got the burger. It was good, but slightly over cooked from the "medium" I requested. The pizza was very good and cheesey. It almost tasted homemade (in a good way). I'd get it again. Ambiance: It's a local bar with plenty of TVs to enjoy the game. It's a bar crowd, so expect some yelling and music, which fits the atmosphere. I like the decor, and the place smelled clean. I'd definitely come here to watch the game and have some wings.

It's tucked away in an industrial area off Route 50, and unless you're looking for it, you'd probably never know it was there. We had a party of 12, and almost everyone in our group was visually impaired, including my mom. Dining out with a group like ours can sometimes be challenging, but the staff did a really nice job. As the only one at the table with 20/20 vision, I can honestly say they took the time to explain the menu, answer questions about the food and drinks, announce themselves when they approached the table, and help everyone through the payment process. Those extra touches meant a lot and made everyone feel comfortable. I ordered the wings and a drink, and my mom had wings, a salad, and a drink. Everything was fresh, the wings were cooked well, the drinks were good, and the portions were generous for the price. The restaurant itself has a cozy, laid-back neighborhood feel. It isn't a fancy place, but it's clean, comfortable, and somewhere I'd happily come back to. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because of the service at the end of our meal. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, but apparently his shift ended as soon as he took our orders. The manager and bartender stepped in and did the best they could, but with a large group that was mostly visually impaired, it made things a little more confusing than they needed to be, especially when it came time to sort out everyone's food and separate checks. No one was rude, and they worked hard to make it right, but I think management could have handled that transition a little better. Overall, I had a great experience. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and I really appreciated how welcoming the staff was to our group. I'd definitely come back, and I'd recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area.
