At first glance, this seemed like your basic college campus hangout, but it was much better than that. The menu had a great variety of options to choose from. Went for happy hour. Pretty good drinks food not so much. The service was a little slow at first but then the waitress continuously came around and asked if we needed anything. The electric lemonade was delicious. I was excited to try the big bag of fries but the fries were very flavorless and not even the dipping sauces could save them. I've started going back to The Hall CP -- it's been a long time. The break wasn't intentional, I just got so busy, haha. But we're back, baby! The first two rows closest to the Hall have free parking that is designated for it. You can skip paying for parking for the lot more broadly. There's also free parking on the other side of the strip with WeWorks, and there's a staircase shortcut you can take instead of walking all around the building. Seeing as they usually hire staff from campus, I was not surprised to see a bunch of new faces, but I recognized some old ones. If you plan on drinking, they still give you a wristband at the front after you show your ID. I've always wondered why they do that -- I guess it saves a step of checking IDs at the bar, haha. The current theme is a Southern Honky Tonk, and there's lots of cool sliders, whiskey-based cocktails, and such. I was devastated to see that the iconic lavender lemonade is gone, but let me tell you what I love: Odilia's Nachos. It's chorizo and shrimp nachos on a delightful platter, and during happy hour they're $7, and it's a whole meal! Every bite was so flavorful and it made me so happy. Nice place, spacious with free parking. It's clearly a nice place as a venue for a reunion or company events with a big bar and a barn like set up where all the furniture can probably be moved. I liked the 8 gender neutral stalls instead of having to pick and wait (usually for the ladies room). The food was decent. My burger was good. My date didn't care much for her grilled chicken but still ate most of it. Service was super friendly but spotty, like they hadn't quite figured out everyone's roles so it took much longer than necessary. I'd be willing to give it another try but it's not top of my list. read more

They have two sides of the bar as well as an overflow/party room and when it's warm they have great outdoor seating. We say at the bar and honestly had the best service of our lives. I want to give a huge s/o to Jake for going above and beyond and making sure we were well taken care of and giving us such good suggestions. If you sit at the bar and see him please be sure to give him a $20 or more tip he's truly amazing. We hosted an event at this venue and had a very unfavorable experience. The total cost of the event we hosted was $8,250.000, which alone should have warranted better service. After receiving an invoice once our event concluded, we inquired about the $250.00 cleaning fee that was charged, and Celena Bednar, the Events Manager, and Alex Dreisch, the Director of Events, stated that it was to replace the carpet and ropes outside, although they understood that a patron became ill and vomited at the exit of the event space. The rented space was inside the venue so it's unclear as to why charges for outside the venue were posted. The signed contract did not explicitly discuss the cleaning fee amount, and the ill person was asked to exit the premises, which she did, yet the charge was still levied. It's concerning that the charged cleaning fee can be whenever the venue deems just, without providing an itemized breakdown of the cost. It's unimaginable to think that when guests are ill, they are charged a cleaning fee as there is a cleaning crew on site that are compensated by the venue-regardless of if the cleaning space is for rental space or walk in customers. The only reason that a fee was charged was because there was a card on file, which is indicative of poor business practices by The Hall CP. The requested layout was ignored, which is led to a number of issues. The correct layout should have been completed prior to the arrival time, but it was not. This disregard mandated us, the paying party, to help the venue staff to move chairs and tables, taking time away from our event. When we shared our concerns with Celena, she stated that she could not use the layout we provided because it would be too inconvenient for her staff. It would have been respectful and professional for this communication to have occurred prior to the day of event so changes could have been made to our preference. Prior to the event, we specifically inquired about the setup of the food and raised concerns regarding topless chafing dishes and the potential for food to become unsanitary and cold given their location near the main entrance/exit. Unfortunately, this concern was not addressed in the final setup, and as many of our guests reported that the food was indeed served cold. This was disappointing and detracted from the quality of the evening. Also, the ignored layout caused guests to enter through two different doors, making it incredibly challenging to accurately account for invited guests. During the event this was mentioned, and Celena said that she would put a note on one door to let guest know where to enter. She did not post a note, so we endured this issue all night. The security guard for the evening was fantastic. He was communicative, accommodating, and vigilant. He was very much appreciated. However, this is not a venue that I would ever visit again as they do not take customer service seriously. Being disappointed with this experience would be an understatement. read more

Attended a successful and fun event at the Hall. The event was hosted in a large room with separate bar, entrance and the stage in place. Atmosphere was decorated properly for the holiday and open concept. With optional outdoor seatings available. If I remembered it correctly, the maximum indoor capacity is 250 people. For this particular event space. If you have more than 200 guess the outdoor space will be opened up for additional rooms. Our food and drinks were catered from the hall . For the drinks, they were very accommodating. For our open bar, we had options of everything you can think of , including from wine, whiskey, tequila, sparkling wine, beer, and more . Our catered food included steak, ham, deviled eggs, chicken, salmon roll, vegan options and many delicious desserts. Staff at the hall were super friendly, considerate and helpful. Great option for wedding rehearsal dinners and large gatherings. Came here for a wedding rehearsal dinner because we had a big wedding party and the prices were decent, the place was close to the wedding venue, and the restaurant could accommodate over 20 people. There is lots of space here and they had a sectioned off area for the wedding party to have a quick dinner on a Friday night. The service was reasonable given all the orders and the beer was great. From beginning to end... We arrived, there was a short wait despite the line. The person checking us in was respectful, patient and professional.GOOD START. We are seated at our table. Hey friends! I found the perfect summer spot with strong drinks, a beautiful outdoor seating and music. I've been eyeing this place for a while but I was skeptical because it's in a college town & I didn't want to be around annoying college kids lol. But I was pleasantly surprised to see a diverse crowd of all ages. There's plenty paid parking at $3/hour. There's no free parking at all, so make sure to budget for that. I recommend sitting outdoors, the patio is really nice with a tennis court, the perfect lighting, a swing and wall art. Service was amazing. The hostess was super sweet, we had a nice convo while I waited for my table. Our server was amazing, I'm sad that I didn't get his name, I would definitely request him again. He was attentive, friendly and made some great suggestions. He was also patient with us after we had a couple drinks lol! The food was good, nothing exceptional. I had the mushroom ravioli. As a vegetarian, I was super excited for this dish but not very impressed. It was flavorful and the texture was nice, but unfortunately it is dry. Sat outside under an umbrella it was a nice atmosphere. My salmon was excellent while my wife's Caesar salad with chicken was fairly plain looking and my son's hamburger was very good. Prices are reasonable and great location with proximity to University of Maryland and easy parking. read more

I loved that there was free parking available for patrons. The menu had a great variety of options and the amount of space and seating inside was ample. I opted for an appetizer because I wasn't too hungry but I know I needed to eat before drinking. The Brussel sprouts were very good. This place was pretty packed for a weekday night in my opinion but the service was pretty decent. Our servers name was Mervin. He was nice and I loved his voice. We had a pretty large party and he definitely made sure the people seated toward the back could hear him! The food was so good, I love pizza and I can't believe I'm just finding out about this place. Just wanted to add more reviews of food. Shootout to my twin Maya! She's fantastic at The Hall. Big Sunken Burrito was very tasty and filling! Not much to say but seasoned well, packed with a great assortment of ingredients. Chicken and waffles this time was a little cold and so was soft. Not as good as last time, but I guess I could've just asked them to heat them up. I just didn't feel like it because my server, can't remember her name, disappeared after us getting our food and I didn't come back until towards the end of the meal. I do have to say I've never been a fan with that type of maple bacon syrup with those waffles. It doesn't fit. I can't put my finger on what type of syrup would be better, but I would suggest getting a syrup that would compliment that type of waffle. Also, the chicken tenders lack salt. I definitely don't like a lot of salt but it's like it doesn't even exist in the chicken tenders. I mix the chipotle mayo and honey mustard for the chicken tenders. This location is definitely worth trying to the moment I walked in the host was very welcoming. I came at a late brunch transitioning to lunch. As a starter I had the Cesar Sumer Roll paired with a crunch mozzarella. I was looking for some fresh, so the Cesar summer roll was perfect choice. It's exactly what you think it is a side chicken salad in a rice wrap. I do wish it came with a little more. I enjoyed the mozzarella sticks it was definitely approved with a cheese pull. As a main dish I decided to have a short rib taco that came with rice an beans with cheese on top. I love me a little kick so my hot sauce on top made it! Tacos definitely were not dry or plain, and food came out very quickly. Love that! To finish everything off I tried the banana bread pudding that came out nice and hot and had a chocolate crunch around the border of the plate which was amazing. Attended a private Yelp event here a few weeks ago (sorry for the late review) and enjoyed it. Great, easy to find location with easy, ample parking -- although there could be more lighting in the lot. There was a designated door for entrance, however I entered through the main door so that I could get a good flow of the restaurant. Upon entering was greeted by a "bouncer type" guy who asked if I was drinking tonight (possibly) and fitted me with a wristband. Now, I am thinking because of the close proximity to the university, the wristband keeps things safe. The bar area is huge! Plenty of tv's to watch sports and plenty of tables with good spacing between. A definite sports bar vibe. Food. There were several choices offered by the event host, many I would have never chosen if dining alone, but ALL were delicious! -Tuna Wontons (a great mix of flavors with the soy caramel and cilantro), -Octopus Canape (definitely would not have ordered this- but this was the one I enjoyed the most. LOL), -Buffalo Bao Buns (eh..nothing exciting here, but good) -Avacodo Rolls (another great mix of flavors with sun dried tomatoes), -Chicken Taquitos (best I've had anywhere) Dessert. Got to try the grilled chicken sandwich during the brunch hours. The chicken in the grilled chicken sandwich was nice and juicy with the bread perfectly toasted.
