    Veggie omelette.
    John B.

I had the veggie omelette. It was good. I particularly enjoyed the goat cheese. The potatoes were good, though they were a little dry. I was a little disappointed that there weren't more grilled onions. My daughter got the margarita pizza. When she got it, she said it was more like a Chuck E. Cheese pizza. She said it tasted fine but it sure wasn't a margarita pizza. My wife and son really enjoyed their meals. Our waitress was very good. The other waitresses that assisted though did not look very happy. I'm not sure if I liked the booth. The back was too straight. We'll get a table next time.

I'm so glad they brought eggspectation back to the county. I was very sad when the downtown silver spring one closed, so I'm sure others are just as happy as I am that there's one in the neighborhood. I went on a Sunday afternoon for brunch and it was very packed. I believe we waited around 20-30 minutes. I loved everything I ordered! I first ordered their seasonal spiced cranberry mule. It tasted great and was fitting for the season. I also ordered the chicken and waffles and a side of French toast. They have an extensive menu and even have a happy hour. I do plan on coming back to try some of their new menu items and some of my old faves!

It was one of our sisters' and mother's outings to keep her up, mobile, engaged, loved, and surprised by where we would take her. My sisters tried to convince me that we had been there before. Believe me, I would have remembered because I write reviews. But let's move along with the review. The menu delivers a vibrant and well-balanced dining experience, offering both comfort classics and fresh, creative dishes that will keep you wondering how many you can try all at one sitting. Okay, don't judge me. When we go out together, we believe that everyone should try something different, so we can sample each other's food, which will give us an indication of what to get the next time we come. So, we had the following dishes: Eggspectation Omelette Roasted Beet & Citrus Salad with Salmon Cajun Shrimp & Grits Eggsuberant with bacon Everyone's food was clearly filling because we all, except my mom, who is from the old school, believe in eating everything on your plate. She never listens to us when we say, "Save some for later so you won't have to cook." Some things in life you must learn to let go of, as far as lecturing. The sisters took doggie boxes home to savor the rest for later. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively but minimal, where you could hear your conversations with one another. We didn't have reservations, but we were seated with a 10-minute window, and the restaurant was full. If you're in the area, please stop by. The area is really nice. You will be glad you did.

've visited Eggspectation three times so far and overall it's been a good experience with a few ups and downs. Food-wise: * Blackened salmon tacos ($13 for 2) - 2.5/5. They were okay but didn't have much flavor. * Wings (1lb $17) - 5/5. Crispy, well-seasoned, and they accommodated my request perfectly. * Chicken & waffles (I subbed the waffle for French toast - $21, price varies depending on how many pieces of French toast you order) - 4/5. Really good combo. * Not pictured: Tear & share garlic bread - also good! Drinks: * Vincent's Iced Espresso - 10/5. My absolute favorite. I get this every single time. * Old Fashioned - 4/5. The waitress suggested making it classic since she wasn't a fan of one of the ingredients in their menu version, and it turned out great. Service has been hit or miss. The first two times (I was alone sitting in the bar area), service was good. The third time, with a group of 4-5 people, service was super slow--even though it was early in the day. Atmosphere is a strong point. I love the artwork and decor, the vibe is chill, and the tables are spaced out enough that you don't feel crowded. Parking is easy since it's in a shopping center.

Visited with a friend to catch up on life. The place was packed on Mother's Day weekend. Regardless, they were able to seat us at the bar and deliver our food after an a long wait (about 45min-1 hour) for one meal and a beverage. The seasonal drinks are fun. I got the pistachio latte and it was tasty. The servers were friendly. The restaurant is pretty, though watch out for the floors as they are a bit slick.

Loved the ambiance! we had the private room in the back! the service was beyond amazing'. food was amazing, i personally wish i had noticed the the crabs Benedict comes with grits wasn't the biggest fan but over all amazing! deff recommend. Food: 10/10 service: 10/10 ambiance 10/10 Bang for your buck: 9/10 for 9 people we spent over $545 dollars over all.

I was excited to try the new Eggspectation in Burtonsville after enjoying the location in Downtown Silver Spring so many years ago. I went for a weekend breakfast with my parents and arrived with a nearly empty dining room at 8:30am -- but business certainly picked up by the time we left. The service was attentive to start, but definitely drifted off early in the meal. Food took a long while to arrive, even with the empty dining room, and we were frequently waiting for drink refills on coffee and water. The food was good, but it wasn't hot when it came out from the kitchen. We eventually had to flag down our server to get our bill. I'm all for a leisurely meal, but this was egregious. For the price point ($20+ per entree), we won't be back any time soon. Service is better at our local iHop and nothing we tried was good enough to lure us back.

Service: Good. We went on a slightly windy day and sat outside. Since this was the only opening in the building structure, it created a slight wind-tunnel causing things to fly around while seated. If it is a less windy day, i would suggest sitting outside. Food: Bene-ducked - If you like the taste of confit duck, this would be the dish for you. I think the use of the croissant was too soft making everything mush by the time you were able to grab a bite. I highly recommend getting the orange juice since it freshly squeezed upon order. On to my next adventure....

So here's my first time at this location, it's a new hidden gem in Burtonsville. I came out to dine in at around 10:30 am for a late breakfast. The place was clean the service was prompt and the servers were amazing. I sat at the bar just to be serviced being I was alone, Kelsey was my bar tender. She was amazing, articulate and helpful... the highlight was she made my latte amazingly well. The taste of the latte was balanced with just enough almond milk for me to still taste the coffee. So if she's there go get one of those lol. Yes overall experience was well at this location if you want good food and good service... this is it!

It's so nice having places closeby to go to these days! Stopped by earlier today and sat at the bar. Service by Danny was amazing! Thank you! He was very fun to talk to and did a great job bartending and serving. I participated in happy hour. The $5 house wine deal is great! I tried the lamb chops (tapas style) but tasty. The space is clean with a very open and modern vibe! I browsed the menu and planning to come back for breakfast.

We were here a couple of months ago and the experience was ok. Decided to try again when an email came about salted caramel beignets. The beignets were disappointing. They were doughy and barely any salted caramel or flavor. My breakfast was fine but eggs weren't done and French toast was dry. My wife enjoyed her Benedict. It has a great bar and indoor outdoor space. The outdoor space supposedly has opened but we asked our server about bringing g our dog and the she never came back with an answer. We so looked forward to this location opening and so far it's been just ok.

We went here for dessert and coffee after failing to get brunch since it was very crowded. We wanted to try it still even though we already ate our lunch somewhere else. We had some good waffle and French toast. Garlic bread as well. We had a good time, th ambience was nice and very aesthetically pleasing. The server with braces is very nice i didn't catch his name but he was very nice to us. Liked everything we ate, hopefully we will get to try their lunch/brunch menu next time.

Menus and drink orders were brought promptly. I chose the fish tacos, and our server - Casey - asked if I wanted the fish pan seared or blackened. We had a discussion over how many chips and salsa were served with it, because my friend wanted some with his veggie burger. We learned that the amount with an entrée is just right - about two handfuls - so we each had some, with my friend's being a substitution for fries. I almost can't find the words to describe those tacos! The fish was moist, perfectly seasoned and generously heaped in each taco. Often, tacos lean heavily on the veg elements but these had just the right amount of slaw. The flavor of the fish was so delicate and savory. Honestly, one taco was all I could manage. Although they were street taco sized, it was so filling. I only ate a handful of chips; they were good but nothing special, as was the tiny cup of salsa. My friend said his veggie burger was excellent, and he enjoyed the bit of chips and salsa as well. He just had water, while I tried a Corona NA. The bill was around $56, which is very reasonable. There's plenty of free parking in the shopping center. Great service, good prices, excellent food - I'll go back!

Monday is lobster night, and my partner is a big lobster fan. The lobster here (I'm told) was excellent and the restaurant provided the right tools to get all the lobster meat. The sides my partner got - mashed potatoes and spinach - both were good. The potatoes were "real" and the spinach very garlicky. I got the grilled fish - hake. It was well prepared and my two sides, rice and slaw, were both very good. I wouldn't say better than at other seafood restaurants, but good. We started with a bowl of Maryland crab soup, which had a nice broth (very Old Bay-y) and chunks of crab. Tasty soup. The service was good with food brought promptly and good water service. We drink a lot of water and the server came over multiple times to refill our glasses. The restaurant is very nice inside, bright with a nautical theme. The bar was very popular during happy hour and the restaurant looks popular with couples and families. One big disappointment was that we were not offered and didn't receive the complimentary muffins. (They are buttermilk cheese muffins with citrus honey butter.) I later saw on Yelp people praising the muffins and the pictures looked great. I assumed they had discontinued them because I didn't see them at any tables. I did reach out to the owner afterward by email and he told me that they still routinely offer the muffins for the table and that this must have been a "lacking in my server training steps." So, please - if you are not offered the muffins (which look fantastic and I hear from others on Yelp that they are), please ask for them. I'm going to deduct a point for the muffin issue. Honestly, I spent $100 for dinner for two with tip and feel like a person should get the full restaurant experience. I'm a big fan of specialty breads and have been to other restaurants where they put a nice basket of bread on the table. I really feel disappointed by this experience.

My husband's half chicken was also juicy and well seasoned. My salad was very exciting because I got to choose the type of lettuce it was on, the type of salad, and then the kind of chicken it was topped with. I got the quinoa salad on the farm house blend, and then grilled chicken. I also ended up eating it with the blackened ranch instead of the dressing it came with. For a somewhat fast food, my salad was amazing and well topped with all the ingredients. Along with all the food being amazing, the service was also great. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. We ordered several appetizers, and honestly, they were filling enough to be a full meal: * Ribs - Flavorful, tender, and genuinely falling off the bone. The portion sizes were a bit inconsistent--some pieces were cut shorter than others--but the texture was on point. I'd definitely return for these. * Brussels Sprouts - Patrick didn't mention they were shareable, which would've been helpful. I did like the flavor, but in hindsight I'm glad we pivoted to... * Crab Dip - This one missed for me. The flavor leaned more tuna-ish than crab-forward. Not my preference, but you may feel differently. * Shrimp in Spicy Butter - Definitely spicy, but somehow still flavorless. More like spicy water than a seasoned butter sauce. The one bonus? They were served piping hot--exactly how I like my food. * French Fries - Hand-cut and tasty. A solid win. Unfortunately, everything except the shrimp came out lukewarm, which took away from dishes that could've been great. Temperature matters! On the drink side, though? Hits all around. The fresh-pressed beet juice was fantastic, and the sweet tea was also on point. We skipped dessert only because we were full, but I'm already planning to come back specifically to try it--along with the ribs and fries again. Overall, I'm hoping this was just an off day. Elliott's Kitchen has potential, and I'd like to see it shine on the next visit

We started with the fried calamari. The breading was light and the calamari was very tender. It was probably one of the best calamari appetizers we have had out of dozens of restaurants we have been to. For the main dishes, we had the rattlesnake pasta. This is a pasta dish made with rotisserie chicken, mushrooms, red yellow and green peppers in a Cajun Alfredo sauce. The sauce was not too spicy with just enough bite. It was excellent. I don't usually care for mushrooms but this dish was amazing. The portion sizes were huge. Enough, that we were able to make another meal for the two of us with the leftovers. For dessert we had the cheesecake with oreo cookie crust. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. She was helpful with suggestions. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and spacious. It is decorated with beautiful wood trim. The booths can easily sit six people each. The dining area is huge. I estimate that it can sit anywhere from two hundred to three hundred if not more guests. Soothing music was played throughout the restaurant. There is a bar serving mixed drinks and beer as well as soft drinks. The restrooms are spotless and just as beautiful as the rest of the restaurant. The rotisserie chicken is made fresh and cooked in a rotisserie pit right next to the kitchen. We will be going back with family to try their prime rib. Prices are slightly above average but warranted. You are paying for an elevated dining experience with both the food quality and ambiance. There is ample parking in a large parking lot. The restaurant also offers a separate dining area for special events with outdoor dining. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant.

She was a ray of sunshine and gave us help in deciding on menu items. We both ordered salads. I ordered the crab and shrimp Louis salad. And, my friend ordered a chicken salad. Our salads were huge, fresh, and delicious. I really liked the fresh veggies and poached shrimp. I also liked the surprise sprinkle of Old Bay on my seafood. I wasn't a fan of the crabmeat. The dressing was delicious too. My friend liked her chicken salad. She did say her chicken was a little dry. But, she loved all of the fresh veggies and ended up taking the leftovers home. I also ordered the Oreo cheesecake which was delicious. I mean come on now, you combine Oreo's and cheesecake, that is a winning combination and the whipped cream was amazing. The restaurant itself was bright, colorful, and full of sea themed decor. The booth was comfortable and you get 3 hours of free parking in the garage. Again, thanks Fatima for your excellent service. We will definitely be back.

Made a reservation not like you really need one, but we made one and was seated down pretty quickly. The host was nice and friendly and the wait staff said hello to us within the five minutes of us seating. I appreciated how family-friendly this place was, they give these cute little animal boxes with different things inside and crayons to keep the kids entertained. The decoration is fun with a lot of outdoor vibes and stuffed real animals. They bring out a side of chip and a yogurt dill dip that's interesting, a fun idea. The food, mhm so we ordered a lot! Crab dip: 2.5/5 not too bad but not memorable, okay amount of crab, flavors were too heavy on the cream cheese/fillers but just okay, they need more bread with it but the chips helped. Prob wouldn't order again Crab cake: 3.8/5 pretty good size and good amount of crab and good flavor probably the best dish that we had ordered here! Would get again. Burger: 3/5 granted I did order this medium well for my kid, but the burger was charred a little too much around the burger, giving it a sort of dry crunch on the edges and charcoal burn vibes. Not my favorite texture that I would want on a burger, but perhaps it would've been different if I ordered a medium? Bread itself was a little stale/crunchy which I did not prefer how it was cooked/prepared. Overall, it was just okay. Ribs: 2.5/5 the ribs were half off ribs so I decided to go for it because of the good deal. But it was just okay, being that Blackhog barbecue is right next-door (thier dry rub ribs are amazing), I would hope that they would step up their barbecue rib game. For a " full rack" there were only nine bones and seemed a little smaller than what I'm used to. It's very heavy on the sauce which I didn't think was the best pairing and wasn't the best flavor bbq sauce. Overall, I wouldn't order it again. Steak kabob: 3.2/5 this was actually pretty tender for the cut of meat, I'm surprised that I didn't have to work for it so I was happy about that! The only criticism that we have is that the meat itself did not have that much flavor or seasoning and there's only one skewer of meat and one skewer of veggies. Meaning the total amount of meat that was probably on that dish was no more than 4 -5 ounces of steak. And for that price point, I would want a little bit more meat. Mac and Cheese: 3.5/5 pretty good for a kids Mac! Good cheese and flavor was impressed! Overall, the service and the host in the experience of being there was pretty good, but the food was a little lacking not sure if I would go again, but it was on our right experience in terms of food

Usually with brunch we would do the bottomless mimosas and all but because I was driving I decided not to participate in that. And usually I would get chicken and waffles but I was in the mood for a burger. So I thought because their name is "Mad Cow" the burger would be the bomb...but nope it was not good at all. So I prefer a beef burger cooked medium with blue cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onions. When I burger got tot the table it was dry as a board. No blue cheese that I paid extra for and the burger was not cooked correctly it was cooked well done. Smdh. So the waiter brought me my blue cheese apologized about it and also gave me a mayo bottle. Even with the burger still was not good and the patty was so thick with no flavor not even salt and pepper was in it!! I tried their punch drink which was really good but for $15 a pop in a regular water glass was ridiculous. Make sure you don't get too tipsy as they already have like a 20% gratuity added on each of our checks no matter how small or big your group is which again is ridiculous! Will I come back...maybe only because I would like to try some Jamaican food they offer. But for brunch...it's a no for me!

Today, I gave them another shot because Uber Eats was offering a buy one, get one free deal on the jerk chicken meal. I chose rice & peas with plantain for my sides. The chicken was cooked on the grill--which I love--because it really brings out the flavor in jerk chicken. I also requested my jerk sauce on the side since I prefer a dry rub style over a saucy one. The only drawback was the small bone pieces in the chicken and rice. That's something to be cautious about, especially if a child is eating the meal. The plantains were also inconsistent--some pieces were hard, while others were mushy. On the bright side, the coco bread was perfect and the Jamaican rum cake was phenomenal. Whoever baked that cake clearly took their time soaking it in rum. It reminded me of the way my grandmother used to make it--absolutely delicious. I would definitely order the rum cake again.

It felt a little loud, and also off when there was a whole portion of the restaurant that was empty where they weren't doing trivia! We asked to move and were reseated promptly. I ordered the mussels in a garlic-wine sauce. I knew this could be risky because I wasn't sure that's what they were known for, but took the chance anyway, They came out quickly. The server also brought another bowl for the shells with a small fork and spoon. I tried one that had a broken shell and it tasted...off. Like the mussels weren't fresh off. I tried a bite of bread in the sauce and the sauce tasted like nothing. It was very bad. I flagged over the server, explained what was wrong. She promptly took it away and took it off the bill. She asked what I wanted instead, so I went basic and got the 198 burger. It came out a couple minutes later. The burger itself was really tasty, well cooked and well seasoned. It could have used some additional sauce that wasn't mayo but that's personal preference. It came with fries. They were blah, very soggy and greasy, so they were basically untouched. My advice - go simple, and it'll be fine. I'd go back again for another burger, wings, etc but wouldn't go out on a limb again with something more adventurous.
