I ordered the steak and eggs -- the flavor was great, although I would've loved for the steak to be a little more tender. The espresso martini was excellent and definitely one of my favorite parts of brunch. My husband ordered the crab omelette and really enjoyed it as well. The atmosphere was nice for Mother's Day, and the staff provided great service throughout our visit. Look no further. Eat here. Having visited twice now over the past 9 months or so, I definitely have a new #1 favorite go-to restaurant in the Baltimore metro area and it is Grille 620. It's not close either. On a rainy Tuesday night in Spring 2025, there was not a seat to be had in the spacious dining room by 6:30 and this alone should say something. Again on a cold and slushy Saturday night in January, our table for 4 was available at the 6pm reserved time, despite a jam-packed restaurant and bar with a crowd waiting for tables. Definitely make a reservation here. Definitely! Despite formidable competition in the very same parking lot (Facci Italian/Pizza and Mad Chef are venerable eating establishments in their own right), Grille 620 separates itself from all known competition by applying a simple formula with bombproof expertise: 1. Completely wonderfully fresh and ingeniously prepared seafood entrees (the landlubber faire may be equally great but I do not objectively yet know this); 2. Impeccably perfect serving staff, always watching and available but never intrusive. Yes their job is to turn tables and maximize profit, but they do it so superbly that a customer does not feel like a cog in a big business machine. There is no rushing, no pushing and no upselling. Just quiet competence, raised to a sublime art form. 3. Wow the customer at the margins. Two wow factors here - one was the branzino fish special - perhaps the most wonderful fish preparation I have had anywhere ever, and I eat a LOT of seafood. Our wow factor was decaf coffee, ordered as an afterthought. Petite personal french presses arrived on our table. A generous way to serve and fun too. It was all pretty cool. I ordered the fresh hake over linguini, after the best bowl of Maryland Crab Soup I ever had anywhere. My dining partner had the red snapper with mushrooms. Others at our table ordered the seafood medley over linguini. We both loved everything we ate, and we wanted to take our Spring 2025 waitress home with us, to be our personal serving congerie at every future restaurant we might visit. Ditto for Gabe during our January 2026 meeting. They either hire them right at Grille 620, train them right, or both. In spring 2025, the bill for the two of us approached $150. Our party of 4 spent $260 in January 2026, but was worth every penny. No Grille 620 certainly is not in everyone's budget. I took my wife out to dinner for Mother's Day (2026) - it was the first time visiting Grille 620 for the both of us - and we both thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our dinner. The service was impeccable, our waitress (apologies for forgetting her name) was attentive and very pleasant, and the food hit it out of the park. Additionally, one of the managers stopped by to ask if we were enjoying out dinner and we struck up a nice (and funny) conversation. Happy hour for the win! We came on a Wednesday, when they have EXTENDED happy hour til 7:30pm. Got some wine, some beer, some apps, and left with a happy belly! House wines for $8 was great, just wish they had a wider selection. Beers for $5-$6 even better. The wings were so good! The garlic parm came out crispy, like double fried Korean wings. The burger is a steal for $12 since it comes with fries! Fish tacos- a little skimpy but tasty. We also got the Thai shrimp since we saw so many others order it and it did not disappoint! We didn't have reservations but we arrived around before 5pm on a Sunday and we were seated immediately. Our server came right over to introduce herself. She told us about the specials for the day. After reading several complimentary reviews of Grillle620, I convinced one of my foodie friends to travel a bit outside our usual comfort zone to see how this place in western Howard County compared to other favorite steak and seafood establishments. We were glad to have a reservation as the restaurant and bar were both nearly full, the atmosphere was lively and festive. We were promptly seated and our waiter, Tony, quickly arrived to greet us. Throughout the meal, Tony was attentive, knowledgeable, and courteous. He even called after we left as we accidentally left our card with the bill. We were able to return promptly to retrieve the forgotten card; highest kudos are given for his service and much appreciated.   I started with the mango martini, which was delicious and transformed my mindset back to sunny, warm Mexican beaches while my friend sampled several of their extensive craft beer selections. We started with a half dozen oysters and the grilled beet salad, selected the ribeye and seafood fettuccini for our main dishes, and finished with the chocolate chip bread pudding and goat cheesecake. The oysters were chilled to perfection and were accompanied with all the fixings - quite tasty. The beet salad was a true palette pleaser and quite delicious. I did find the fettuccini to be a tad bit spicy for me, but my companion enjoyed it. The portion was generous and was loaded with seafood. The steak was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. While the cut may have been a bit tough in parts the flavor was superb. The desserts were also well proportioned and very yummy. We both agreed that the goat cheesecake was delightful and with its accompaniment of honey and walnuts, a perfect ending to a wonderful evening.   The atmosphere is lively and friendly much like a local's regular haunt; the service prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable - thanks again to Tony for his excellent service. The portions are generous; the price is in the typical range for a steak and seafood venue; the food is better than many brand name steakhouses. We went here for brunch, The place looks very nice. The vibe was chill. The young man at the front of the house could've actually looked like he cared about his job. My waiter was phenomenal. My kids liked their sliders and their chicken fingers. And here's the big but section. My wife had the shrimp and grits and I had the 620 omelette. It took at least 40 minutes for us to get our food if not longer. My wife said the grits were horrible. It was like the first time somebody ever cooked grits. The shrimp were fresh and plump, but was unenjoyable because the grits were horrible. The 620 omelette was full of seafood, which should be no problem, except there was an overwhelming fish taste, which was unpalatable. However, the deep-fried home fries were well seasoned. Tasty seafood! We visited Grille 620 on a Sunday night, and it was mostly full but there were tables available. The restaurant occupies a small space with a modern American interior design and three televisions by the bar. I tried the spiced pear Manhattan to drink and the gnocchi and lobster as a main. Before our drinks arrived, our server brought some warm bread with a soft butter. The bread and butter were both tasty. The Manhattan was watery, and the pear flavor didn't really come through. The gnocchi and lobster were both cooked perfectly and were swimming in a creamy sauce. The sauce was pretty good but it wasn't nearly as rich as I expected. Overall, I would mostly recommend Grille 620 but not their take on a Manhattan. read more

My colleague and I were quite surprised by how delicious this place was! It definitely has a bar vibe but the food is great quality. The service was excellent and the overall vibe was friendly. I ended up getting the salmon but substituted the side for asparagus. I also added on a crab cake, which was amazing (could have been slightly more cooked in the middle but was still really good). The salmon was perfect and so was the grilled asparagus. The flash fried shrimp appetizer was surprisingly really good as well, even without the sauce, which we got on the side because it was an aioli. I have been 3 times now and feel confident that I can close my eyes and point to anything on the menu and it would be phenomenal. The food and service were absolutely fantastic. Our waiter Donnie gave some great recommendations. For starters we got the oysters and steak strips. Oysters had a nice sweetness to them. The steak strips were perfectly cooked, I requested medium well. My main dish was the branzino and it was so delicious, the olives added a perfect amount of saltiness to the dish. My boyfriend got chefs pot which had different seafood in it , the sauce it was in was the star. Our son had Mac and cheese which he swears is the best he has ever had. We visited on Father's Day, I'd made a reservation about a week prior. Their Sunday menu is brunch until 2:30 and our reservation was for 2:30. We ordered and waited for the kitchen to change over because there were appetizers that we absolutely wanted. We started with drinks, I had the hibiscus jalapeño margarita, hubby had the old fashioned and our daughter had moscato. Our drinks were delicious. I don't normally like spicy things but the margarita was delicious. We started with raw oysters, calamari and crab dip. Everything was really good, especially the calamari; it was very fresh with just a light batter. The crab dip was good, a little too much cream cheese. While we waited for the kitchen to change over for dinner we had another round of drinks. We then ordered the steak strips, Caesar salad, grilled octopus and the potato soup. The octopus was grilled well and tender. The vinaigrette and vegetables paired very well with the octopus. The stark strips were larger than expected and grilled a perfect medium l, pleasantly surprising. The soup was very good, we added a little more pepper to it. Our server,Seth was very accommodating. He made suggestions and was friendly. The restaurant is small and may look crowded but there's plenty of space. The only thing I disliked was our seats at the booth were very close to the next family. Oh they have an expansive whiskey and bourbon selection which my husband loved. Would not likely return due to service and price. I made a reservation earlier in the day and we were sat quickly. It took a while for a waiter to arrive. We asked for 2 appetizers (the Brie and octopus). It took a long time to get these, particularly because one was forgotten about. Unfortunately this was a theme of the night. There were 4 of us, but our food & drink orders kept getting forgotten. I do appreciate our waiter's honesty, however. I would suggest writing orders down. It took almost three hours from when we sat down to when we received our entrees. We rarely saw service and when we did we had to continuously reorder items that hadn't been brought out. The food was not worth this wait. The Butcher Block special was well received but the filet mignon was overcooked (asked for medium rare but it came out medium to well done). We were celebrating a birthday and planned on getting dessert but we all agreed it was much too late to wait another hour. If you decide to visit, and you don't mind some fat, I highly recommend the Butchers Block special. read more

Came in for a fine dining experience and grill 620 didn't disappoint. It was a Friday night when I came in and around 7:30 pm it was completely packed. There isn't much parking out front but they have plenty of parking in the lot located behind the restaurant. I recommend making a reservation to avoid any lengthy wait. After seeing the hostess out front I was quickly seated and the waitress brought over water, then took my drink order. She also brought out some bread & butter while I waited for my drink and browsed the menu. I had an old fashioned that came out pretty quickly. For my meal I chose the center cut filet with the steamed lobster tail and a side of potatoes. I always order my steak medium but when I received it it was over cooked to well done. The waitress was apologetic and took it back and had a replacement prepared. It was nice that the manager came around to apologize as well and made sure the second steak was to my liking. I've lived in Ellicott City for 15 years and it's a wonder this is my first review here. If you haven't been - go. There has been nothing on the menu that I have ordered that hasn't been incredible. From their burgers to their mussels to their tuna it's all been on point. Their happy hour is out of this world - $12.00 apps and entrees available. Their service is always top notch - shout out to Dre ;) We had Brunch today and of course it was super tasty - they have hours until 3 on Sunday with bottomless mimosas (traditional orange but they have several options - I had the grapefruit and Tom had an Arnold Palmer mimosa) I would recommend getting a reservation when you can - it gets crowded and there really isn't a great area to sit and wait. 4 TVs around the bar with sports on for those fans out there. I arrived a bit early, so I sat at the bar and ordered an Espresso Martini. It was perfectly made (not too sweet). For dinner I ordered the Seafood Risotto. I really loved the flavor and the seafood was cooked to perfection. Our waiter, David, was super attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We decided to check this place out last minute and got the last reservation. The place is located in a cozy little neighbourhood near Ellicott City. The restaurant has great decor with upscale vibes. The food was really good! The Thai shrimp is their take on the bang bang shrimp and it's really good! The rack of lamb was shared with two sides, garlic Parmesan broccolini and truffle mac ans cheese. The truffle flavor wasn't too overpowering but just right the roasted garlic was really good with the veggie. The lamb was was perfectly! Also shoutout to our waitress Heather who was so nice and took good care of us. For the longest time I enjoyed Grille 620., for many business, holidays and birthday celebrations there....until they served my daughter a rotten piece of steak-Filet. It was her first time and her birthday. I had reserved a table for 6, we arrived and everything was great until she asked me to try her steak as something tasted funny. I smelled the steak and was like hmm... something is not good. I bit into a small piece and almost threw up. It was rotten meat. I called over the manager and he agreed right away that he could smell it was rotten. And said " we do not serve that here". He walked away and never, never apologized. He sent the server over to see if there was something else that she would like to order but mind you, he never apologized. He never tried to make things right, it's not our fault you feed us rotten meat. It was you and your kitchen.
