I will start with the amazing! The service is always top notch here. Super friendly, extremely observant, and know how to expertly guide you around the menu. They also let you know that the chefs are putting new gloves on all the time due to people who have allergies. That's very comforting to know. The restaurant is clean and the seats are comfortable. So all of that gets five stars. My blueberry pancakes, were not so good. The pancakes had a feature of wet cement and lacked flavor. They needed more salt or something. The maple syrup was good but I should had asked for more because these pancakes desperately needed it. This was probably an off day for them but we will see for when I go next time.

I have been to Glenwoods (formerly Stanford grill) many times. The food is consistently good and the mood of the place feels upscale and for special occasions even though my family gets take out regularly. Today I went for brunch for the first time and it was good. I got the harvest salad which was good. My mom said her eggs Benedict was ok. They were very good at accommodating my children and making substitutions. If you haven't been it's definitely a place to check out.

Finally got to try Glenwoods, we came in on a Sunday and were seated immediately. The ambiance is laid back and a little upscale. The servers are dressed up and they had live jazz playing so I felt a bit under dressed. The menu has something for everyone and the calamari was great! My fire roasted rotisserie chicken was delicious, and it was also HUGE. The portions here are insane, the reviews don't lie!! Their shoestring fries were so good, I love a thin crispy fry. We ended up getting the chocolate uprising and wow we had dessert for DAYS. It was absolutely massive and SO good. I didn't have high expectation expectations only because a friend had told me their demographic was a lot older, but honestly it seemed like there was a good mix of ages inside! Judy was our server and she was awesome! She rounded on us frequently and even apologized when she was busy (we didn't need anything)! She is definitely a hard worker & was great! We will be back!

Early dinner at Glenwood's on a bustling weekend was truly enjoyable and the hospitality staff were fantastic from start to finish. Seating options vary while booths fit for business meetings or elbow distance with family and friends. Live jazz music fill the air at 6pm. Greeted by Shine at the host stand sparked the start of our experience, fully engaged and calm, she promptly sat us at our booth. Beautiful smile! Immediately, Brian introduced himself to let us know he wasn't our server, but wanted to take care of our cocktails and beverages as we settle. Nice touch. As we looked over the menu, Christopher our master server, came bearing gifts with our cocktails and waters - Elite margarita, Peartini, Sweet Heat, and Glenfiddich. To start off, we chose the Fiesta rolls. These arrived piping hot and plated nicely. Golden and packed, the rolls were crisp and seasoned well. The sauce added a twist to the delicious bite. For dinner, Eastern Shore style crabcakes, Barbeque pork ribs, and Coca cola beef ribs all arrived plated well and hot. The jumbo lump crabcakes were delicious with zero filler. The size and sides of these could be redefined given the price, otherwise great entree and a popular one. Fall off the bones and draped in que sauce, the pork ribs were meaty. Slightly charred on the ends, only 4 bones of the rack left to take home it was on point. The Coca cola ribs were fork tender and generous in portion. Only served on the weekends, this is a fabulous option and worth the fast. I'm still not sure how we managed to have room for dessert, but the bread pudding and the chocolate uprising suddenly appeared on the table and was nearly devoured. Yes, we did ask for a scoop of vanilla bean, because traditional or not, who will argue that bread pudding is just better with it? While the size is intimidating, it is plenty share of luscious pudding. Someone's hands got slapped reaching for the chocolate uprising and well, uprising it caused and it was a healthy share of sweet endings on a wonderful dinner gathering. The team that took care of us were impeccable, balance and attention at its best. Glenwood has a dedicated parking lot and ADA access throughout with ramps and ample spaces in the front. Highly recommend and be sure to confirm your reservations.

My husband and I shared a special occasion at Glenwood's on a busy Sunday evening. Reservations are highly recommended. We were graciously greeted and upon entering, met with a trio of musicians playing soft jazz tucked in a corner part of the restaurant. They were very good though we did request be seated further away in the main dining room. ****Kahlua & Milk was delicious. ***** Calamari Fritti- generous mound of perfectly fried pieces in a light batter with just the right tenderness, slightly chewy goodness, flavored well with melted Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs. Marinara sauce enhanced each bite. ***** Prime rib roast was much enjoyed. It came with green beans but I wanted a baked potato and it is not listed as a side dish, our waiter offered it as an "off menu" choice. The well loaded baked potato was presented as a mile high delight of melting butter with dollops of sour cream heaped with bacon bits and fresh herbs. It was served at room temperature instead of piping hot. There were the usual au jus and horseradish sauces for dipping. I went with the 16 oz. cut that was perfectly seasoned at medium rare but served pretty cooled down instead of hot. The planned left overs came home with me as well as fresh containers of the dipping sauces. ***** Hardwood Grilled Atlantic Salmon came with a side of tabbouleh salad and a house made dressing which he completed and enjoyed. ***** "Tiramisu cheesecake" and "Key Lime Pie" were good sized portions and topped with fresh whipped cream. Both were creamy, smooth and not overly sweet when they were tasted. This was a special occasion and we did splurge. The one thing why I could not give this a five star for, is that the prices listed on their web site do not match what was listed on their actual menu. I think there should be no surprises that could detract from an otherwise enjoyable time that we shared.

We had a a patron walk by our table and comment "you have the two best items on the menu!" Needless to say, we left the restaurant very full and quite content. What we got: Biscuits (special) - 3.5* my partner loved these more than me. I thought they were good, just not exceptional. The honey butter was a nice addition. Barbecue pork ribs - 4.5* delicious ribs, fantastically thin and crispy fries, and a well paired slaw. Would 10/10 recommend. Chicken pot pie - 4.5* another delicious dish. We loved the portion and how it was served in a mini skillet. It has a hint of curry flavoring but for those who don't like curry I don't think it'll be off putting, it tasted wonderful. The crust was also flaky and perfect.

Came here for a business lunch and wow, was it packed! I took that as a good sign and I wasn't disappointed. I originally wanted to get the steak frites and then changed my mind as soon as I saw the rotisserie chicken in the turning in a glass window near the kitchen. The chicken was so flavorful, juicy, seasoned well and was exactly what I was hoping for. The inside of the restaurant is dimly lit with just the right amount of sunlight peaking through the windows. Service was great, allowed us to enjoy our meals but also checked in on us twice. Definitely a spot I will add to my recurring list.

summary: solid upscale American-style dining restaurant. Fancy-ish and a great spot to celebrate or have a date night. Previously known as the Stanford Grill, it was rebranded into Glenwood's and I was curious to check it out. Went for a lunch date and the service was professional and kind. There was ample seating and patio dining as well. The patio/outdoor area overlooks a freeway, so I don't really know how great that is as a dining experience. The indoor venue is nice with fancy decor and nice touches like fireplaces. The food was well balanced and had a lot of options to choose from. The drink menu was in the same boat where there were a lot of solid options for all different tastes. All in all, I thought it was a positive experience. I wouldn't say there's necessarily anything unique or mind-blowing that sets it apart from other restaurants, but for American cuisine, it's a solid choice with variety to pick from.

Overall: traditional American fare, great service, multi-stall gendered restrooms, pretty boring menu, indoor, outdoor, and patio seating I've been here 3 times. When walking in, the place is pretty dark and boring looking. I don't think there is anything special about the ambiance but the service has always been great. Nothing on the menu stands out to me or gets me excited. Everything is pretty traditional American but with very high prices. I've never eaten anything there that I felt like was worth the price. Each entree is $20-50. I've never eater anything bad here before but also never eaten anything that was memorable or would make me want to return. I did like that they had mocktails.

The place is quit a distance from DC about 45 minutes away. Took some of my coworkers to lunch and glad I chose this place. We ordered the calamari and egg rolls for desert and I had the fish and chips. I love the fish, it was fresh and does not taste fishy at all. I wish they offered me the shoestring fries but it was great needless to say. I would recommend if you are in the Columbia, MD area.

We had a wonderful dinner here last night. The Caesar salad excellent, one of the best I've had anywhere. I'd have it again tonight. The Prime Rib entree was very good. The bartenders in the bar were awesome and really cared about providing great service. I don't like my wine and they gladly removed it from our bill and made me an excellent Old Fashion. The ambiance is great and the jazz music was very good. Very nice dinner.

We unplanned to go out for friday night! We didn't make a reservation for the place. When we arrived the host said "we have to wait for 1 hour" We were starving! Thanks for there is a 2 seats at the bar which was really good place! The lady with glasses was so nice at the bar! She was kind, helpful... There was a live music. Food was good too. Only thing is a tooo much dark and too noisy.

Took my hubby here for his birthday, great experience! Good service, very professional. I got seared ahi tuna salad 10/10, I've been on a tuna kick & that really did it for me! I'm pretty sure my husband got the prime rib but I'm not 100% sure (this was in June), he was satisfied! The ambiance is kind of jazzy with live music, but the kitchen is busy. I recommend the key lime pie, large enough to share!

When we arrived, there were only a few people there and we were able to get a drink order in right away and they brought it to our table fairly quickly. But then the crown arrived and there were lines 10 people deep just to get an order in. Food (which we didn't order) was a nightmare; there were people's orders behind the bar for over 30 minutes just getting cold because they were too busy to figure out where the people were and no one was coming up to check on their orders. I waited in line for over half an hour just to close my tab. I'd recommend paying with each order... The drinks were not bad - the spirits (which are not made there) are decent, but are primarily mixers. They do sell bottles, but I didn't get any (granted I am a whiskey snob...). The music was WAY too loud and the DJ was just awful - he had zero personality whatsoever. My adult kids were the ones who wanted to bail, not us! Hope the next time is better...

We made a last-minute decision to try for some of the nightly jazz (except Monday) at 18th & 21st on a Friday evening (Oct 2025), hip-ly named for the prohibition amendment and repeal :-) There's a free parking garage right across from the entrance of the building they share with a sister restaurant, Cured. We arrived in the bright seasonally-decorated welcoming lobby about 7:50pm. We ought to have made reservations, but in under 10min, the reception staff took us to the more intimate room towards the back where we were seated at at the bar, which is really what we wanted. When we arrived, the 6pm jazz band had just gone on break, so we felt free to chat with friendly regulars and with the bar staff. They have a changing list of ten craft beers from $6 to $21, plus one $6 non-alcoholic brew. Five of the $14-$35 per-glass vintage wines from their list of 17 are preserved with the "corovin" system that keeps air out, so they are never "corked". We focussed on their list of 11 crafted $13-$22 cocktails plus 5 non-alcoholic ones, all made with quality ingredients, each naming the staff member(s) (and guests) who formulated the recipe! We found Alex's $16 Fernetinez sublimely sweet: of bitter fernet amaro, Frederick-based locally-sourced award-winning McClintock One Last Time gin (exclusive for 18th&21st), smooth Luxardo liqueur, and a sweet vermouth. We loved the aroma and flavor of the classic Smoked Old Fashioned of bourbon from Kentucky's 10th-oldest distillery, Green River, moved to a mild well-rounded sweetness by brown sugar simple syrup, smoked in front of me by Mike (if i remember), with added richness from smoky bitters. They have a creative menu of $30 to $65 entrees, plus salads, small plates, apps, and sides, and they have a changing menu of small plates. We really hadn't planned on eating, but we couldn't resist. The $17 duck bao buns had thin tender filets with a sweet lightly-salty apricot-soy glaze and a tangy crunchy pickled cucumber slaw on a soft folded yeasted slightly-sweet white-flour bun. The $12 pair of fried fresh-tasting oysters were sweet and juicy with a light-flavored crunchy crust. They were so yummy, and easy to enjoy with our cocktails. Rodney Kelly's jazz band was excellent, playing with spirit, joking with each other and the audience, even staging a song or two with a skilled member of the restaurant staff. Afterwards we had brief moments with some of the band members, like an intimate jazz club. Later in the evening, i also had a Turkish Sunset, a Manhattan-variation created in a collaboration among the staff and a guest (Well-done Ozzie!). I love Elijah Craig, and wanted to try their dry toasted rye, with housemade allspice dram syrup, Small Hands grenadine, and bitters. By now, i felt very much at home with the staff, and when i learned that one of them had helped formulate this beverage, i confided that its amazing complexity was, for me, just a touch too dry. Alex (if i remember) considered the ingredients and the target flavors, and added just a touch of a sweet lemony liqueur, perfectly complimenting the recipe's flavors! Real-time crafting goes above and beyond, Thank you! (And when they next update the menu, maybe they'll have a custom option named for me :-)

The owner was super nice and answered all of our questions. So, I would say the service was fine. However, he quickly explained how it was not a cigar lounge because the furniture would not be able to withstand the cigar smell, only the hookah one. There were approximately 10 people in the lounge, which made it "crowded". One thing I noticed was the decor. Nice furnishings and absolutely STUNNING photographs hanging on the wall. The only options were sauces on the side (honey, ranch, or blue cheese), and when I specifically asked for honey drizzled on top with blue cheese on the side, that request wasn't followed. Even more frustrating, our server never came back to check on us or make sure everything was okay. The jollof rice was honestly the worst part. Instead of that rich, smoky flavor you'd expect, it tasted burnt with a harsh charcoal aftertaste. I've had jollof rice many times before, and this was nowhere close. I ended up sending it back. Because I was hungry, I forced myself to eat the wings, even though they were dry and lacked flavor. Overall, Myste Lounge has a nice look and potential, but the food and service really need improvement. A revamped menu and better attention to guests would make a huge difference.
