Did not love the food or experience. Came here with friends. Service was slow and had to ask for things several times from our waitress. I ordered the Fried Oysters, Duck Fat Fries, and Philly Cheese Steak Eggroll. I was worried this would be too much. But thankful I ordered what I did because the Fried Oyster portion was disappointing. For $12.21, you receive 2 small fried oysters, with no seasoning. It is plated on about a thick 3 inches square bed of salt. There was crumbled bits of prosciutto on top. And then a smear of provolone mornay under the shell. Very disappointing. The Philly Cheesesteak Eggroll had an odd taste. Nothing to write home about. The Duck Fat Fries were good but came with ketchup. I asked if they had another sauce or aioli and our waitress replied "like what". I asked if they had ranch or an aioli, which she wasn't sure and went to check. But then didn't come back. Eventually when she came back, for something else, I asked her and she went to get a ranch. Would not recommend or come back.

His first impression ... I know it could have been great!

We were walking in the area and my husband was drawn to the smells of burgers wafting through the air. I was looking forward to having another tasty mocktail. Well, those plans were dashed. We entered and there was no wait, yay! We were led to a section with eight empty tables. Most tables sat 4 people. One of the hosts brought us to a 2-seater while we prefer to sit side by side. We were disappointed to be told that we couldn't sit in any of those seats. Still we looked over the menu while waiting for a waiter and the many people that were expected to fill the 7 available tables. After 10 minutes without any service, we had time to choose another restaurant. One star lost for service, no waiter and all those tables that remained empty.

Really enjoyed lunch at Cured. I couldn't decide what I wanted, and ended up ordering 2 appetizers that stood out - the brussels sprouts and cheesesteak eggrolls. The eggrolls were pretty good but I will likely be ordering those brussels every time! My boyfriend got the burger with a fried egg and couldn't stop talking about how good it was. I decided last minute to also get dessert, which was amazing. One of the managers stopped by our table to greet and introduce herself, and was very pleasant. I'd like to try a cocktail next time as well, as the menu looked really interesting.

Cured Crab Wontons -- Cream Cheese, Scallions, Lump Crab, Old Bay, Lemon Juice

My cousin and I visited for a quick bite after a Yelp experience around the corner. We just wanted a quick "snack" and drink before heading home to Philly. We were seated pretty quickly, considering it was almost 7pm when we arrived. Our waiter introduced himself (such a sweetheart) gave us a chance to peruse the menu and didn't push us to order more than what we wanted. We ordered: Watermelon Refresher -- Melon Infused Vodka, Watermelon Syrup, Falernum, Lemon Juice x2 Cured Crab Wontons -- Cream Cheese, Scallions, Lump Crab, Old Bay, Lemon Juice Pretzel Bites -- Cherry Pepper Cheese Sauce Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding -- Caramel Sauce, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream I was surprised that it was "Happy Hour" considering it was a Sunday and 7pm. That's VERY rare!! The drink was fruity, tarty and sweet. My cousin couldn't finish hers, so I finished it for her. Definitely a drink that will creep up on you. Loved it. The crab wontons were delicious and didn't need any condiments or sauce to accompany. The pretzel bites are always a go-to if a restaurant has them. I wasn't a fan of the cheese sauce because the cherry peppers made it spicy and I'm not a fan of spicy cheese. Our waiter suggested dessert and we asked what he would select if he were eating here. He suggested the Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding. It was heavy like he said it would be. We ate around the ice cream (the bread pudding that was covered with ice cream + the ice cream) and took the rest home. The ambiance was a quiet one. Average amount of noise, still able to hold a conversation. Very first date | getting to know you setting. Would definitely return to try other items on the menu

NY Strip and steak frites

I chose this place because it was a good halfway point as a meet up and the Bourbon choices looked solid! The location was interesting because it's located as an anchor in a large business building. Parking is easy peasy in the attached garage. However, once you walk inside, the vibe morphs in to excellence. The initial greeting was warm and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was packed but still maintained a relaxed atmosphere. We had the seasonal Sangria to start and it was fabulous! We started with Crab Wantons, Tuna Tartare, and the fried oysters. The fried oysters are a definite STANDOUT STAR! Bravo to the Chef for this unique and tasty creation. Loved how the fried oysters were presented on the shells! We then shared the NY Strip, Steak Frites and Lobster Mac and cheese! Perfect shareables, prepared superbly. Did we have dessert? Well yes, thank you...in the form of cocktails. Old Fashions and Espresso Martinis, oh my! Splendid! I highly recommend checking this place out, absolutely fabulous food and service!

It's an "Old Fashioned" Thursday type of day.

I liked my food, I found it satisfying and well plated. The service is okay, busy night so things are not a right away kind of thing. The ambience is simple and relaxing. I say that for it is my preference, others may not agree. Overall I will try to make it back here again.

We arrived at this popular destination on an early Friday evening for dinner. I hadn't checked earlier but having a concert at near by Merriweather Post Pavilion also added to their crowd. We also found ourselves within the Happy Hour time frame. Service- was good and attentive. Food- I would think twice before ordering the Fried Oyster appetizer. The pickled cucumber slaw was a nice touch, the flavors complementing each other but left me wishing there were more oysters to enjoy. The brussel sprouts were tasty but overwhelmed with sauce. I did like the flavor, and they were tender to bite into but I would have enjoyed the crispy bits that wasn't as charred. I ordered the Fish and Chips which was a large portion. The fish was tender but a bit heavy due to the batter it was dipped in but the French fries were thin and crispy. The coleslaw was tasty and constructed differently than your typical type of coleslaw. I did enjoy that. My daughter seemed happy with her grilled salmon dinner. I would say my favorite choice of our meal was their classic Creme brûlée dessert. That was creamy, smooth and delicious. We are not drinkers but they have a huge bar that was very busy and appeared to have a wide selection of Whiskeys, wines, beer flights, specialty drinks and other beverages. I would like to return on a less busy day to try other selections of their seasonal menu.

Crispy Brussel Sprouts

Came here for lunch on a budget. I was impressed by the interior decoration- it had a cozy, autumn theme with Fall leaves decorated around the bar for October. The staff were attentive and kind with quick service. Items are on the pricier end, but definitely high quality. I got their Crispy Brussel Sprouts which were coated in gochujang and kimchi mayo. It was INCREDIBLE and maybe one of the best ways I've had Brussel sprouts. I'd come again just for the Brussel sprouts, but I definitely want to try other items on the menu next time! I tried one Duck Fat Fry and it was also delicious. I heard their Cheesesteak egg rolls and burger are also excellent. For me, most of the menu is simple, but this place seems to excel with flavor and high quality ingredients! Can't wait to come back!

I love this place. Even when it gets crowded, it feels calm and intimate. The set up is nice whether sitting in the bar area or at a table. My go to is the salmon Caesar wraps with the fries, but I also love the chicken sandwich as well. I've never had an issue with customer service and I've been about four times. Perfect for solo dates and hanging out with family and friends. The prices are also reasonable.

It should be my favorite bar at Columbia ! Servers, ambience, food, temperature, noise of inside... everything was pretty good! It's my first visit. I think I come over very often. I still think about 3 things from the menu! 1-stone fruit salad from this months(Ingredient of the Month) 2-Edwin's Housemade ricotta cheese 3-Falafel Next time I will order these for sure! Add my favorite places!

Rip and dip burger with fries

Stopped here on a Monday afternoon after hiking Billy Goat trail. Nice atmosphere, Cat was a great server, and a good amount of seating. Started with duck fat fries, they were good but would have liked spicy ketchup to go with them. We ordered a rip and dip burger, cured chicken sandwich, and a cured and dagger. All were cooked perfectly, and the brussel sprouts as a side were delicious! Definitely would come back and even try the sister restaurant next door, looked very nice.

Great vibes, good food, excellent service. We had an incredible date night here! Happy hour is available all throughout the restaurant (not just the bar area) so we took advantage of that and burger night special. We started off with short rib empanadas which were very tasty. Our server recommended the brussel sprouts which we also enjoyed, but I felt that there was too much chili sauce for it to be swimming. We shared the breakfast burger and the kitchen was so generous to split it for us so we each had a fried egg! The burger was also suppose to come with sausage gravy but I'm not sure if ours had that- which was unfortunate since i was looking forward to that! Lastly, we ended the night with chocolate cake and the donut bread pudding. Chefs kiss- I think the dessert was my favorite part of the meal!

It turned out there is a large, free, public parking lot less than half a block from the restaurant. Our reservations were for 3:00 which worked out perfectly. We missed the buffet crowd before us and the dinner crowd after. We checked in at the front desk and were lead to our booth, which was tucked away in a corner and so cozy and comfortable. Our waitress, Lori, came by to check on us and to see if we needed anything. She was wonderful our whole dining experience. The rest of our party soon arrived and we ordered drinks and some appetizers. When our granddaughter, Ashley, ordered an alcoholic drink our waitress carded her. While checking the ID the waitress' face lit up and she smiled as she realized it was a few days past Ashley's 21st birthday. For appetizers we ordered fried green tomatoes, fried lobster bites, and duck oil fries. It wasn't long before every bit of the appetizers were eaten. For our meals I ordered crab soup and an entree salad, Our daughter ordered onion soup and a hamburger. For the rest of our party there was another hamburgers ordered, a crab cake, a seafood dish, and a fried chicken sandwich. One down side to the meal was my crab soup was awful. It tasted like tomato juice with frozen vegetables and some crabmeat. (Awful crab soup? This is Maryland, it should be better than that.) I passed it down to Richard. My salad was very good, nothing outstanding, but fresh enough and quite generous. Everyone else was totally enjoying their food. Ashley only ate about half of her seafood stew, but since she had eaten over half of the lobster bites, that was not surprising. For dessert daughter ordered cheese cake to carryout. Ashley ordered some fancy piece of cake. Of course it came with Happy Birthday written in frosting across the bottom of dish. We had had requested not a big birthday fuss so that was perfect. All in all it was a nice birthday lunch. I think arriving mid day, having Lori for our waitress, and everyone if good spirits made it perfect. I would definitely be happy to go back again, especially if we could get a cozy booth with Lori as our waitress.

They both was very good match with my cocktail taste! I like the food too! Calamari, truffle fries, edamame, rolles, chicken tenders,... all was tasty. The tour about the how they make Vodka, gin, Baijiu process was pretty impressed. They make all these drinks right behind the bulilding... By the way the most unique and different thing for me was BAIJIU! This is the first time I heard and tast! It's strong and tasty. The an other most important thing was, I was the winner for the event! I won the bottle of Oversea Baijiu. Because of my video that I share at instagram I am glad Oversea Distillery and Bar only 10 minutes away from my house! BAIJIU: (pronounced bye-jyo) is a traditional, clear Chinese distilled spirit. Literally translating to "white liquor," it is typically distilled from fermented grains like sorghum, rice, or wheat and ranges from 35% to 60% ABV. As the world's most consumed spirit, it boasts a history spanning millennia How It's MadeUnlike most Western spirits, baijiu relies on qu, a unique starter culture of crushed grains packed with active molds and yeasts. This culture simultaneously converts grain starches into sugars and ferments those sugars into alcohol--a process called solid-state fermentation. The mash is then traditionally distilled in clay or stone pots. Just like wine or whiskey, baijiu isn't a single flavor. It is categorized into four primary styles, though many sub-varieties exist: Strong Aroma: Sweet and pungent with fruity and spicy notes (e.g., Wuliangye). Sauce Aroma: Complex and savory, often likened to soy sauce, fermented vegetables, or dark chocolate (e.g., Kweichow Moutai). Light Aroma: Crisp, clean, and floral, similar to sake or high-end vodka. Rice Aroma: Mild, slightly sweet, and floral, closely resembling other Asian grain spirits like shochu.

When we arrived, there were only a few people there and we were able to get a drink order in right away and they brought it to our table fairly quickly. But then the crown arrived and there were lines 10 people deep just to get an order in. Food (which we didn't order) was a nightmare; there were people's orders behind the bar for over 30 minutes just getting cold because they were too busy to figure out where the people were and no one was coming up to check on their orders. I waited in line for over half an hour just to close my tab. I'd recommend paying with each order... The drinks were not bad - the spirits (which are not made there) are decent, but are primarily mixers. They do sell bottles, but I didn't get any (granted I am a whiskey snob...). The music was WAY too loud and the DJ was just awful - he had zero personality whatsoever. My adult kids were the ones who wanted to bail, not us! Hope the next time is better...

Those of you who…read moreread my reviews know I typically review either really good or really "not so good" restaurants. I'm breaking my own rules, because I feel the 3.9 rating is pretty accurate, with one 5 star + exception. This was a business lunch and a convenient location so there we were. The duck fries as an appetizer were good but needed to be seasoned with a little more salt. I had a strawberry salad with some grilled chicken that was good with the greens, but dry as the desert with the chicken and borderline inedible. Here's the twist!!! My two compadres both had the grilled cheese and lobster sandwich. They both looked at me sheepishly and said, you f ed up!!! William was kind enough to break off a substantial bite and let me try it. Angels sang, children wept, and I almost passed out! It was the kind of perfection we all agreed we would have eaten 5, maybe 6 of these unnaturally awesome sandwiches until we passed out! 3.5 Star service, 4 Star ambience, and some 10 Star bites! The Crab Cake Eggs Benedict was nothing special - feeling like a flat, single-note dish.. Perhaps it was that the hollandaise sauce lacked the acidity (usually from lemon juice) to brighten the dish. Or, that the nod to Maryland - the Old Bay honey - drizzled around the edges of the dish wasn't enough to elevate it to something that is savored with each bite. The Fluffernutter Blondie is a good dessert choice if you love blondies and peanut butter. Although, it was a bit drier than I'd like, the texture was still soft.

Warning the review is long. TLDR: service is so bad and so expensive for shitty quality food. Though their coffee and sangria were delicious. We were seated promptly and while waiting for the rest of my family arrived the waiter brought us water. He claimed the appetizers were good for sharing so I was expecting the portions to be good. Our party was 8 adults and 2 kids. We got 4 appetizers and it's good we got 4 of them because had we gotten 1 or 2, literally everyone would get like 1/2-1/4 piece of appetizer. So not sure why he said the appetizer was good sharing size. Also I want to note these appetizers are not cheap. They were very expensive for the amount you get. You would think if you paid $20-$22 per app you would get more. Literally paying for an entree with significantly less food. Onto the food: The waiter claimed that the Lemongrass chicken was "juicy". We got two of these and it was SO SO DRY. The Mediterranean salad I got was so salty. And the mussels that I also ordered were disappointing. I want to say 60% of the mussels were closed. This indicates that these might have been undercooked, poor quality or simply did not get checked. The mussels were so salty as well. What really pissed me off is that my mom ordered the shrimp tacos. Nothing complicated about that right? Well they never came out. We find out that there was a mixup so they sent it to a different table and we're "working" on a new one. Tell me why almost two hours later they never came out till we asked for the check? Then they magically come out in a to-go container. Literally the sloppiest mess you can imagine. How is that acceptable? You're telling me it took 2 hours to make this pile of shit? And what's even more absurd is their own menu says it comes with fries. Well in that small ass container they did not include fries. I asked about this and they looked confused and said it should come with fries and that they would get it. I have never experience such ABYSMAL, ATROCIOUS service. Sure the waiters and front staff were nice but nice doesn't make up for the terrible service. Something is going on in the kitchen for sure. Why does it take 1 hour for appetizers to come out. And then 45 min after only 3 people's meals come out. In polite company you would wait for everyone's food to come out to begin eating, but idk what they were doing back there that there was such a delay. Once the 4 of us finished our meal well the 5 people's food comes out, they got an entire order wrong. Ordered a kids pepperoni pizza and they brought cheese. We told the waiter that this was wrong and literally 5 min after he brings what I can say is the SAME DAMN CHEESE PIZZA with pepperoni slices right on top and a bit of Parmesan cheese. We could tell it was the same pizza because the pepperoni were sitting right on top like someone just added it on. We complained to the manager and he brought a new pepperoni pizza that was good this time. We had to ask multiple times for condiments and water refills. I could give a little leeway if this restaurant was so busy but it was not busy at all. Our waiter kept peeking over at us and not coming over like he was scared. And if your service is gonna be this bad, at least the food should be good but no. You have terrible service and shitty food that you're paying $$$ for. And gratuity being included is laughable because the service provided was not worth an almost $80 tip. We had to get up and find the waiter to ask for the check and where the hell the shrimp tacos were. In the end they tried to comp only the pizza and the shrimp tacos, but that was unacceptable. They did comp the appetizers. But they tried to give us brunch vouchers but why the hell would we come back to this place that had terrible service?? Make it make sense. And now that I review the 1 star reviews, it is consistent with everything we experienced. Terrible service, missing food, and hunting down the staff. Also the owner responds to bad reviews with AI responses. Shame.
