Previously been to the bar on random weekdays, bartenders always give great service. Most recently, husband took me here on a date on a Sunday. We were pleasantly surprised to find out they had a Sunday HH going on. Waitress was fantastic. Their smoked old fashioned was on point, and sangrias good as well. I'm writing this from my car because I'm that angry! I came here after a long day of work to enjoy dinner with my sister, and while the food was great, the waitress Sydney ruined our entire experience with her nasty, unwelcoming attitude and rudeness. She disliked us from the very start, it seemed, walking over unpleasantly, talking in almost a whisper, never introducing herself, no "you're welcome" to follow our "thank yous", and she never brought us silverware. (The food runner did) When we flagged her to ask for napkins, she said nothing, just spun around with unecessary attitude, came back, left them on the table, and walked off. When she finally refilled our water after refilling the couple's next to us. I said thank you as she poured, but she slammed the glass down, didn't say "you're welcome" and walked away. The couple next to us engaged us again, letting us know this wasn't all in our heads. We really tried to give grace thinking she was tired, but it was so unpleasant, we requested the manager instead of enjoying a dessert we were looking forward to. The manager and food runners were phenomenal! Adam, the manager, listened to us as well as the couple next to us who also saw her rudeness, and they even went as far as letting Adam know we were being really pleasant, and for some reason she just wasn't respectful to us. And please understand, all we wanted was basic respect and a pleasant meal. Sadly, that's not what we got. I have never experienced such nastiness, especially when we weren't being complicated customers. We sent nothing back, didn't complain about stuff, etc. I'm so grateful for the couple next to us for not just noticing, but for trying to help salvage our awful experience and speaking up when the manager came over. Thank you, kind strangers. As for Adam, thank you for listening and presenting us with a gift card. I am so put off by this experience, I can't imagine using it, but I'm grateful for your kindness. Did not love the food or experience. Came here with friends. Service was slow and had to ask for things several times from our waitress. I ordered the Fried Oysters, Duck Fat Fries, and Philly Cheese Steak Eggroll. I was worried this would be too much. But thankful I ordered what I did because the Fried Oyster portion was disappointing. For $12.21, you receive 2 small fried oysters, with no seasoning. It is plated on about a thick 3 inches square bed of salt. There was crumbled bits of prosciutto on top. And then a smear of provolone mornay under the shell. Very disappointing. The Philly Cheesesteak Eggroll had an odd taste. Nothing to write home about. The Duck Fat Fries were good but came with ketchup. I asked if they had another sauce or aioli and our waitress replied "like what". I asked if they had ranch or an aioli, which she wasn't sure and went to check. But then didn't come back. We were walking in the area and my husband was drawn to the smells of burgers wafting through the air. I was looking forward to having another tasty mocktail. Well, those plans were dashed. We entered and there was no wait, yay! We were led to a section with eight empty tables. Most tables sat 4 people. One of the hosts brought us to a 2-seater while we prefer to sit side by side. We were disappointed to be told that we couldn't sit in any of those seats. Still we looked over the menu while waiting for a waiter and the many people that were expected to fill the 7 available tables. I wasn't a fan of the cheese sauce because the cherry peppers made it spicy and I'm not a fan of spicy cheese. Our waiter suggested dessert and we asked what he would select if he were eating here. He suggested the Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding. It was heavy like he said it would be. I chose this place because it was a good halfway point as a meet up and the Bourbon choices looked solid! The location was interesting because it's located as an anchor in a large business building. Parking is easy peasy in the attached garage. However, once you walk inside, the vibe morphs in to excellence. The initial greeting was warm and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was packed but still maintained a relaxed atmosphere. We had the seasonal Sangria to start and it was fabulous! We started with Crab Wantons, Tuna Tartare, and the fried oysters. The fried oysters are a definite STANDOUT STAR! Bravo to the Chef for this unique and tasty creation. Loved how the fried oysters were presented on the shells! We arrived at this popular destination on an early Friday evening for dinner. I hadn't checked earlier but having a concert at near by Merriweather Post Pavilion also added to their crowd. We also found ourselves within the Happy Hour time frame. Service- was good and attentive. Food- I would think twice before ordering the Fried Oyster appetizer. The pickled cucumber slaw was a nice touch, the flavors complementing each other but left me wishing there were more oysters to enjoy. The brussel sprouts were tasty but overwhelmed with sauce. I did like the flavor, and they were tender to bite into but I would have enjoyed the crispy bits that wasn't as charred. I ordered the Fish and Chips which was a large portion. The fish was tender but a bit heavy due to the batter it was dipped in but the French fries were thin and crispy. The coleslaw was tasty and constructed differently than your typical type of coleslaw. I did enjoy that. My daughter seemed happy with her grilled salmon dinner. I would say my favorite choice of our meal was their classic Creme brûlée dessert. That was creamy, smooth and delicious. We are not drinkers but they have a huge bar that was very busy and appeared to have a wide selection of Whiskeys, wines, beer flights, specialty drinks and other beverages. Came here for lunch on a budget. I was impressed by the interior decoration- it had a cozy, autumn theme with Fall leaves decorated around the bar for October. The staff were attentive and kind with quick service. Items are on the pricier end, but definitely high quality. I got their Crispy Brussel Sprouts which were coated in gochujang and kimchi mayo. It was INCREDIBLE and maybe one of the best ways I've had Brussel sprouts. I'd come again just for the Brussel sprouts, but I definitely want to try other items on the menu next time! Stopped here on a Monday afternoon after hiking Billy Goat trail. Nice atmosphere, Cat was a great server, and a good amount of seating. Our server recommended the brussel sprouts which we also enjoyed, but I felt that there was too much chili sauce for it to be swimming. We shared the breakfast burger and the kitchen was so generous to split it for us so we each had a fried egg! With a private and free parking garage, it's a great location. I had shrimp and grits paired with an avocado salad. The portions are "small plate" size so pairings are ideal. The price point is economical as well. The brunch menu has flare and variety with bottomless mimosas with a range of flavors. I enjoyed the food. The shrimp and grits were so flavorful! The salad included chopped mango and a light dressing. I appreciated the crisp mixed greens. The coffee was just ok but I am a flavored creamer type of girl so I rarely enjoy restaurant coffee with plain creamer. Service was prompt. Our book club chose this location to meet up. Wasn't quite the book club vibe (wanted something more loungey) but the food was good and service was fast. I would eat most of what we had again. My favorite by far was the catfish strips-- tender fish that wasn't overly battered. The crab meat pizza took us wayyy by surprise. It was different but ended up also being one of my favorite. My family arrived on time for our 2:15 reservation on a Sunday, they serve brunch until about 3:30. The hostesses were pleasant and we were seated shortly after arriving. Our server was nice, unfortunately can't remember her name! The food/ drinks Coconut blackberry sangria- so, while I'm a huge sangria fan, this drink was extremely strong, I couldn't finish it. This is partly my fault, because when I looked back at the menu, I noticed the first ingredient was vodka. The vodka taste was over pouring and this was more like a cocktail rather than the sangria flavor I was looking for. The assorted bread basket- over 10 dollars for pastries from Costco. Not impressed. Salmon flatbread- was just ok. Steak and eggs- my husband didn't say anything at all about his food which leads me to believe he too was underwhelmed. For a place that requires a $40 deposit, we really weren't impressed. The food definitely isn't horrible, but it was very basic. We were heading to Laurel and then found out the place we were going was crossed. We stumbled into this place which is like 17 min from Laurel thanks to some Quick Yelp searches and all agreed this place is pretty good. We came for brunch which is like reasonably priced tapas. The whiskey, bourbon, and beer selections are pretty fantastic. They even have a pre mixed old fashion on tap that is even better. Desserts such as the donut of the day and bread of the day are a nice thing to take home to anyone you have waiting. We sat at the bar and were served by Able who was attentive and informative. We visited this place in the summer of 2023 Came here for happy hour with wife and friends. It had a very nice atmosphere with plenty of room at the bar as well as tables all around the bar area. There were 2 bartenders who were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about what they serve. The restaurant portion of the establishment was on the other side but I didn't bother taking a tour of it. Our bartender was Mariah and she was very efficient in her service. Even the food we ordered came out right away. We didn't intend to order most of our meal off the happy hour menu but that's what we ended up doing aside from getting the Cheesesteak egg rolls as an appetizer from the main menu. We got the sliders, a smoked salmon toast with avocado spread, and the roasted brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts had the most flavor with chipotle sauce followed by the cheesesteak eggrolls. My husband did not care much for the sliders due to the tomato jam and Swiss cheese combo (too tangy, maybe a different cheese would balance better). The smoked salmon toast was lacking any flavor- the avocado spread was simply bland avocado. For drinks, we both ordered the smoked Old Fashioned which were fine. Overall, this place could be great and maybe we need to try it again on a different day (like when they have jazz music). read more

I tried coming here on a Friday night as a walk in and was told it was too packed. Be sure to make a reservation before! Ginger cocktail: probably one of the best cocktails I've had. 5/5 stars. It taste like a spiced apple cider with a ginger explosion. Very good! Whiskey flights: a lot to choose from and worth the experience. Fries in duck fat: these are potato wedges. Good overall but honestly just taste like normal fries. Empanadas: these were average. Burger: served on Hawaiian roll. I paid extra to add avocado, bacon and a nice over easy egg. Definitely worth the cost! The Brussels sprouts are a 6/5 stars. The best Brussel sprouts I've ever had. Very flavorful! Gnocchi: I'd give this 3/5 stars. Overall it was okay. I also tried the french toast on the side because I always need something sweet :-)) They were soft with cream cheese spread, raspberry jelly and syrup. Stopped by for Happy Hour and to h get a few more slots filled in for my Whiskey Passport. I haven't been in a while and noticed that their menu had changed a little. I am used to the season flavors with special limited time meals. I wasn't very hungry so I just ordered fries. The bar thunder was friendly and recommend some Rye whiskey for me to try. He was attentive and kept my water glass filled. It wasn't very crowded on a weekday for happy hour so it wasn't too loud in the bar area. I was sad to see that they replaced their fries with potato wedges. I have never liked wedges so I didn't enjoy them at all. I much prefer thin cut French fries.
