A great dive bar filled with locals who come back for a reason. Happy hour is weekdays 3-6pm. Depending on the night, they have live bands, music bingo, trivia, or open mic karaoke. They also have darts, a ping pong table and two arcade games. There is also outdoor seating, great for warm days. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich (and fries +$), and shared the garlic pretzel bites and tots. Some dishes come with chips, with other sides at an additional cost. Honestly, food was pretty good. The pretzel bites were crunchy, but soft on the inside and had tons of garlic flavor on them, which I loved. The buffalo chicken was also great. Service was great and atmosphere is very chill.

Me and my cousin decided to check this place out as we were in the area, and had some time to spare. We wanted to sit back, catch up and get some food, so this place fit the bill to the tee. We got in on a Tuesday night and immediately got seated, granted, the place was empty, but service was prompt. We started with some drinks and were informed about the specials. That night they had wings for $9.99, so it was a no brainer to order some. We decided on the sriracha honey, which were really good. Wings sizing was also really good, tired of going to other places when they give you a snack sized wing (yeah, you know what i'm talking about!) but these were pretty big. I'll head back there once i head back to Columbia. Great service.

Finally went to Sonoma's this weekend! My husband and I moved to the neighborhood 2 years ago and have been talking about getting over here for a while. We were not disappointed! It has the atmosphere of a local dive bar (which is a good thing!) while not being dirty or run down or anything... Just felt like a relaxing, not fussy place where you could hang out and watch sports or play a card game at the bar and nobody would rush you out of there. There are dart boards, a ping pong table, one of those electronic game systems at the bar - it brought back memories of small town bars I used to go to before I moved to upscale Columbia. And the food was really good! We both got a blue cheese bacon burger (which had some other name but I don't recall it). The burger was huge and had great flavor. Fries were crispy and hot and had good seasoning (I don't think it was Old Bay but kind of similar?). Their beer selection was decent and they appeared to have a full bar. It's a short walk from our house, so I can see it being a regular spot for us, especially if we want to have a few drinks while watching a game. It's also super convenient to Lake Elkhorn, you just cross under Cradlerock way and you will be right there. Looking forward to returning! They have live music on Friday and Saturday nights so that might be next on the list to check out.

Stopped by Sonoma's tonight and had some good Maryland Crab soup but an even better BLT that had tons of bacon. Add a cold Strong Bow, nice weather and the Caps game on outside, and you have a recipe for 4 Stars. Atmosphere here was casual and service attentive.

I swear this was the best salad I ever had n my boyfriend said I ate the whole thing! Cesar's dressing

So delicious the salad the best ever with their home made ceasar dressing was delicious I ate all of it and I never eat all of any of my food my boyfriend said he could tell it was good so he started eating some and didn't stop lol it was cute little unplanned date he was tellin me he used to come here in his Amazon truck during work lunch n it was still good

Good evening everybody, this is Steven posting on Cynthia's page again, baseball is my favorite sport by far and being in the midst of the World Series a sports bar was a must. I simply googled the best sports bars in Baltimore County and Sonoma's Bar and Grill popped up. Although it's in Howard County me and my Baby made the short trip to Columbia to check it out. There was nothing on the menu that attracted me except the fact that the internet claimed that they were one of the better sports bars around. It was a little tricky to find even though its in the Owen Brown Village shopping center. It was so tricky that we had to call them to find out exactly where they were, we could see the sign but it looked dark and closed to me, it's kind of a hidden back entrance. Anyway it was one of the few seat yourself restaurants and I'm glad we were acknowledged right away because there was no one else in this restaurant, in Columbia that looked like us! Where were all my " Black Columbians" at tonight? Lord have mercy, it got a little chilly and y'all decide to stay home, Lol. This is a pretty decent place. They had a live rock band playing some serious hard rock and as many monitors with sports that you could imagine, so being an old hard rocker, I was good and Cynthia didn't mind. We had the Buffalo Chicken Wings with Old Bay sauce and once again Cynthia being a connoisseur of wings said they were good and trust me, they were. We had Crab Stuffed Mushrooms which were two smoked portobello mushrooms topped with lump crab meat which was also good. I had a cream of crab soup which was very good. Now here's the thing, we were sitting there watching the game, listening to the rock band, not paying attention to the time and I guess the waiter wasn't paying attention to us and when we went to order something else she said the kitchen was closed. The only thing we could order were the homemade chips and more wings. The website says they're open until 1:30am and the waiter told us that the website was wrong and hadn't been changed. Oh well, it was a good night and this is a great sports bar, I'm not sure how long they can continue with the live music because this place was not busy at all and this band played almost the entire time we were there. By the way a few brothers did eventually show up which drew an applause from Cynthia, Lol. I do recommend Sonoma's Bar and Grill, 7284 Cradlerock Way in Owen Brown Village, Columbia. Just a few miles off of 29, good place, good service and good food. Thanks for reading, God bless and holla back!

This is a very small bar/grill kind of place that offers bands and even some light comedic entertainment. I have been here a few times, most recently on Cinco de Mayo (thats May 5th for all the non-spanglish speaking folks). We went there to see our frineds perform with their band New Old School and our friend DJ'ed there as well, Dj iRockJays! It was a nice night with drink specials and food for the Mexican inclined. The crowd was not too huge and we were able to get a table in front of the band set-up. There is no dance floor and you are literally in front of the band, but it is not that loud honestly. The staff is friendly, but they are understaffed on a full night, but they try their best to get your orders post-haste. My chicken tacos were a bit cold, but they were ok, and my Corona was cold and fresh so it wasnt too bad. The few times I have come here it has been a mixed crowd of young and old. It is a nice atmosphere, but like I said a bit small. It does have an outside patio area but it has never been warm enough for me to sit out there so yeah. I would probably only come here if my friends were performing with their band, but it would be well worth it. Come here for quaint surroundings, cold beers, and good times!

Sonoma's is an alright place. It's a "Bar and Grill" type joint.. but personally I think it's more like an Applebees with a large bar. They always have some sort of special and the food here is actually pretty good. They also have some sort of crappy live band there on the weekends. The prices are relative to more of a sit down restaurant instead of a bar. But like above, it is more of a restaurant. Beers here are expensive unless during happy hour. Tuesday night is half off the Angus burger (which makes it $5). Includes lettuce, tomato, and onions... anything else is .50 to .99 cents. Go on restaurant.com and get a coupon for this place.

Catfish, fried egg, and cheese grits. Yummy!

I decided upon their Escape Pina Colada Sour after Juan gave me a sample when he noticed my hesitancy and I agreed I could down a glass since it didn't taste like an actual beer after sipping lol I asked for a menu after some time had passed and after I tried scanning the QR code on the bar multiple times (don't do that. It's for the actual woodworker/carpenter lol) I saw their Tuesday special online but it wasn't mentioned on the menu so I asked and was informed it was only for the restaurant side (Frisco). I was confused because when I walked in on the Frisco side I asked the bartender about the brewery side since I knew I'd have to sample something before committing and was informed to go through the restroom door to reach it on the other side. I made sure to ask if I could also order food from over there as well and was informed I could. No worries though, Juan took care of me and was able to place the order for me. I was about to be bad and order fries but he recommended their parmesan risotto instead and I thought, of course! Then, I remembered they offered seasonal veggies and asked about it and to my happy surprise was informed they had bok choy or brussels sprouts! Either would be yummy so I quickly agreed. This is definitely a local's spot. Many people came in and were known my first names so I felt comforted by that. They're was also a manager on the phone figuring out a mishap with their POS system as well which made me feel like they were on their stuff. Highly appreciated plus he quickly picked up my keys when I dropped them also so I didn't have to get down from my seat. Speaking to a girlies heart The light was low so my pics show that and when I attempted to correct it, it just wasn't it lol. I enjoyed the bok choy and couldn't make out the flavors but they didn't take away from the slight pepperiness of it and the stalk still had it's crunch. But my crab cake was tasty. I don't know if i can get on board with the inside but being crazy hot. The one I had the day prior wasn't hot inside either and I don't want it deep fried . . . . . Hmmmmm, small I start a crab cake tour I've been awaiting this journey . . . . I shall! So this is officially stop No. 2 Crab cake was seasoned well. Not too much seasoning and not bland. The outside was covered with jumbo lump clusters and the color on the broil was perfect. Fresh parsley throughout and cocktail sauce was given but I wasn't going to take away from their version. Was it MD crab? I'm not sure but I feel like if it was, it would have been advertised as such. Still good and I'd order again. I can see myself coming back after work to take advantage of their HH many times in the future.

There is the caveat that I ordered carry-out instead of dining in this time and it was a much more seamless process. I placed my order on their website (which is powered by Toast) and it was ready perfectly in time with my designated pickup time. My order came out ready and hot and all the pizzas and garlic bread came out great. In retrospect, I don't know that I would've ordered the garlic bread because I was expecting more of a garlic breadstick situation instead of a sauceless cheese pizza, but that's more of my own fault for not looking at any pictures first. All in all, it was a much more positive experience and I appreciate the management for working so hard to fix any road bumps in service.

We seated ourselves and the server came over promptly to take our drink orders while we perused the menu. The offerings are simple - a few appetizers, salads, and a wide variety of personal sized pizzas with numerous topping combinations. Our drinks arrived quickly we placed our order. My friend tried one of their craft beer offerings, Black Dog, listed as an Irish Stout, and mentioned it was good, but probably not memorable, lacking a depth and smoothness when compared to the classic Guiness, but drinkable and for a local product it was better than most craft brewery attempts at stout varieties.   We chose to split a Caesar's salad and chose the Spinach Pizza and Dog Pound Pizza for our main course. As we waited, numerous other staff came by to check on us verging on the edge of being annoying. While friendly in their approach, it seemed like a bit of overkill considering we had our drinks and were waiting for our pizzas. The place was less than half full, so they were probably just trying to be attentive and friendly. The salad and Dog Pound Pizza arrived soon after but there was no sign of my Spinach Pizza. If you'd like the salad before the pizza, I'd suggest you let them know in advance. After a few minutes we mentioned it to one of the servers checking on us, they went to check and returned saying it would be another 5 minutes or so - I think they forgot when they put the order into the kitchen.   The salad portion was quite large and was quite good for a Caesar salad and frankly, better than a lot of fancier establishments, plus there was enough for leftovers. We were a little disappointed with the pizzas themselves. The toppings were plentiful, maybe to a fault, and tasty but there was something lacking. For a specialty pizza place I would have expected a better crust - for both pizzas it was a bit soggy and difficult to lift off the plate for a proper bite. We ended up eating with a fork. Heartier appetites would finish the individually sized pizzas, but we had enough to take home for lunch the next day.   The atmosphere is sports bar like; the service prompt, courteous, and maybe a bit over-attentive; the portions and toppings generous; the price is extremely fair - a decent choice if you're in the neighborhood, but not quite a foodie destination establishment unless perhaps you're a beer enthusiast.

One man played the electric guitar that took over the room! We absolutely enjoyed ourselves and the music. As for the food and beers, we ordered the Loyally Blonde, Mellow Howl IPA, Fundido Pizza and the Jumbo Crab Pretzel. The pretzel was smothered in creamy jumbo lump crab dip and had a beautiful crust on the bottom that held up and never got soggy. The pizza had very fresh Pico de gallo and chorizo with a great crispy yet fluffy crust. We really loved the food we got and would absolutely go back to try more. I have a feeling the weekends would be packed with bigger known bands so make sure you go in before the music gets going.

Judging from the line item, I'm guessing it had to do with the app trio we got? Service was good. It wasn't very busy and we were at a table in their dining room area. Since it's a sports bar, views are good from basically anywhere. the whole point of coming is to watch sports, right? Good spot to grab some food and catch a game or more. REVIEW #3876

If you love onions you'll enjoy the onion crumble on this burger. A good balance of flavors and well worth the try. Parmesan fries also had roasted garlic so it was a big "Yes" for me! My husband got the jailbreak burger which was also a big crowd pleaser. To the right they have a full bar to try their different beers. A great spot to take your friends for after work drinks and eats. They even have a cozy lounge area to relax. Plenty of seating and great service. The staff was ready and willing to help and cleared off our tables for us. The tab system makes it easy to move from room to room so you don't have to worry, it's easy to add drinks and food as you relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Will definitely recommend for a relaxed atmosphere where you can watch games and also enjoy lively conversation. Better than a sports bar for food AND drinks.

There was like a tangy sauce on the tuna which took away from the flavor of the fish and for $22 I was expecting something a bit more. Otherwise, Jailbreak is always a solid choice for drinks and grub. They usually have reservations and larger parties, but it's a pretty open/communal space, so there aren't typically issues with seating. All in all, a great spot for many occasions.

Brunch at Elliott's Craft Kitchen: A Promising Start With a Few Missed Beats…read more.. I recently visited Elliott's Craft Kitchen a fairly new spot that my group of four decided to try out for brunch. We were hoping for a fresh experience, but our visit turned out to be a mixed bag. Ambiance and First Impressions... When we arrived, the restaurant was surprisingly empty, which was a bit of a head-scratcher for brunch time. Even though we could hear staff chatting in the back, it took a good five to eight minutes before anyone came out to seat us. Once we were seated, we noticed the lighting was so dim that we actually had to whip out our phones just to read the menu. Not exactly the cozy brunch vibe we were hoping for. The Food: Hits and Misses... On to the food. We started with the cream of crab soup, which was just okay--nothing to write home about. The Brussels sprouts were a bit of a letdown. They were tiny and mostly just fried leaves rather than the hearty sprouts we expected. So if you're imagining those classic roasted Brussels sprouts, this wasn't it. The chicken and waffles were decent in flavor, although the presentation could have used some polish. The pita bread for the crab dip could have been toasted or something more firm and doesn't taste like it was immediately pulled from a bag. Surprisingly, the star of the meal ended up being something as simple as the French fries. They were really tasty and stood out more than some of the fancier dishes. Service and the Final Stretch... Our server was kind and polite, which we appreciated. But the big hiccup came at the end. Their payment system went down, and we ended up waiting over 30 minutes just to settle the bill. After sitting for about 15 minutes we informed our server that we would like to wait in the lounge area to get more comfortable as I understand.... things happen. Although while we waited for about 20 minutes there were no offers of water or anything to make the wait less awkward (not to mention asking for payment without even presenting a bill). It felt like they were more focused on turning the table than making sure we were okay during the delay. Although maybe it was an awkward start to the morning. I will say our server did her best to work things out with the technology she was given. So, I still provided her a fair tip, not her fault. Value for Money... In terms of pricing, it felt pretty average overall, but there were a few eyebrow-raisers. For instance, the avocado toasted croissant--topped with over-easy eggs, baby spinach, and Grana Padano--was $19, which felt a bit steep for what it was. In comparison, a pork schnitzel dish was around $21. So, while the pricing wasn't outrageous, some items definitely made me pause and question the value. Overall Thoughts... In the end, my experience at Elliott's Craft Kitchen was a bit of a letdown. So I'm surprised by some of the reviews (maybe because it was not dinner). While there were a few highlights (like the fries and a well-made Old Fashioned), the service hiccups and the underwhelming dishes mean I'd probably think twice before going back. Definitely not for brunch but I would really consider Dinner after some more reviews. Hopefully they'll iron out the kinks as they get more established.

We enjoyed hot wings and bao buns as our appetizer and shared a black and blue burger for our meal. My dark and stormy was a great pick as well. Helpful attentive staff.
