My new favorite place in Columbia. I'm a sucker for a good theme. Pub Dog is, surprise surprise, dog themed. The entire menu is named after dogs or something related to dogs (I.e. Unleashed IPA). The servers are friendly and have a good attitude. I looooove the Alaskan Husky pizza. It has a lotta cheese (read: good pull). The huge selling point here is how they serve drinks. When you order one of their drinks it comes split in two glasses. Regardless if you order water or mixed drinks, you're gonna be double fisting something here. And you can mix and match! The Puggle and Pawloma are some of my favorites. But a word of caution: it's easy to want to try everything out of curiosity, just pace yourself because you'll be mixing different types of alcohol and you might feel it if you're not careful.

Pub Dog is great, and a staple for late nights out with friends. They have great pizza, apps, and drinks. I don't even like beer, but I love their raspberry beer and chocolate beer, and they always have great mixes too. Prices are phenomenal especially in this economy and you always get two beers for the price of one. The outside is actually dog friendly. The staff are nice and able to help assist with allergies (they even have dairy free cheese if you need that) along with helping you figure out what beer to order. There are plenty of booths and tables to watch sports on the many TVs. Get the soft pretzel! You won't regret it!

If you like dogs then you'll enjoy the decor and fun atmosphere of Pub Dog. Came here to have dinner with family. There is a lot of noise which makes it hard to have a conversation unless the person is right next to you or you yell, so rest your voice before going ;) I tried the Froggy Dog which had a Dijon mustard base and toppings on top. The mustard mellowed a little when cooked (you can get the same mustard with the soft pretzels) but catches up with you by the end of the pie. Make sure you really like mustard first. Pizza is a thicker dough crust, but soft and easy to eat. Salads are also an option and are large portions. You won't leave hungry!

    Atomic Dog pizza!!

It is an amazing bar with a fun theme. They brew their own beer and, as mentioned by others, you get it in two little mugs. It is an awesome bar and fast service (provided you are at the bar and they are not slammed). Lots of TVs (at the bar) to see sports games too! In the past, this place was slammed more often than not. Lunch time mid-week, not so much. I need to try more than the bar pie to give an additional star... It is an awesome place!

So this place for sure.. has potential. I was recommended this spot by a friend of mine, and we both went for Thursday Night Football. I loved that they serve you two drinks at a time - of course, that is appreciated and they story behind it, you should read when you go. It is provided on the back of the menu when you sit. Their food, pizza is their specialty in my opinion. I had their BBQ chicken, was good. It's one of my favorite kinds of pizza, so I was pleased with it. My friend had another one, I forgot the name of which one, and she was pleased as well. Also because she had been here before, she knew what to expect. Outside of that, their staff... can be a little uh, twisted. The staff this particular night were pretty young - maybe mostly under 35 and not gonna lie, it was annoying in the beginning of our stay, it was hard to get the attention of staff due to behind the bar drinking. SO - do with that information what you will. Pack your patience here, as the staff and sometimes the drunk customers, can be a little much. Distracting to the game I'm trying to watch.... but anyway, Tvs here... pizza here... a bar is here....

Cool place! We were here for Monday night trivia with a couple of friends more local to Columbia. The trivia was great, but the real star was our server! I wish I could remember her name, but she was super awesome! The beer was great, and they had a great variety to choose from. You could also mix flavors, like their hard iced tea and blueberry beer, for one example. Very tasty opportunities here! The food itself was also delicious! We split a few pizzas across the table, and each one of them was tasty. Nobody had a bad slice! There's really not much else to tell, honestly. It's a pretty simple place, with solid food and great beer. And even better service! So, yeah, pretty much everything you could want from a pub. Definitely well worth a return visit!

The bar glows dimly, amber light reflecting off varnished wood and half-emptied beer mugs like fossils of past conversations. Somewhere between the neon signs and the smell of fried dough, the human condition unfolds: you, standing at the counter for five minutes that feel eternal, waiting not for pizza but acknowledgment. The servers orbit the regulars in slow, distracted ellipses, a ritual of familiarity that excludes newcomers. When at last someone notices you, the politeness is perfunctory, as if kindness were an optional topping. The "Puperonni," "Dog Pound," and "Cajun" emerge from the kitchen's mouth hot and fragrant -- molten cheese hiding the small salvation that good pizza can offer in a universe of indifference. Each slice, with its red oil sheen and crisped edge, whispers: "at least this part, they got right." Two beers stand together on the bar, froth retreating, the last evidence of shared endurance under fluorescent eternity. The food redeems the evening; the service merely reminds us how fragile redemption can be.

I've been to this establishment many times, and I love it. The beers and pizzas are great and if you're lucky, they'll treat you to a shot of GM. I love the interior, it's this great dark old timey atmosphere with modern conveniences. I recently went by at lunch with some coworkers. The food was amazing per the usual, but I'd say the service was a little slow given how few other patrons were there. Otherwise, excellent visit and will certainly return.

Pub Dog is a good old reliable sports bar with a friendly canine theme throughout. The main focus here: pizzas and beer - great for chilling while catching up with friends or watching sports on the many screens around the whole place. In addition to the pizzas, there are a few appetizers and salads, including big pretzels. The pretzels aren't anything stellar, but they're an okay nosh while you wait for pizza. They don't salt the pretzels for some reason, but they give a little side of coarse salt so you can dip to your preference. The mustard is grainy and potent. For an extra $1.50, you can get some cheese sauce which is alright. The family got three pizzas - my wife opted for the Wing Dog (with buffalo sauce, chicken, and ranch dip) and found it to be okay. I got the pleasantly spicy Cajun Dog which came with bits of spicy chicken and sausage, hot peppers, and onions. I'd get this again. Child #1 and Child #2 split a "Pupperoni" pizza and demolished it. They brew all their own beer and they have all the basic styles that you might want. You like IPAs? get your hops on. More of a malty or stout kinda person? Sweet. They have it. None of the beers are particularly memorable or going to blow you away, but none are bad either - they're good easy-drinking beers. Whether you drink beer, soda, or water, it will come in two medium glasses. Always two. I don't know why, but it's their thing. The wait staff is friendly but busy. They get food out to you as quick as they can. It's been many years, but I know that if you treat your waitstaff well, sometimes they would opt to do a shot of Grand Marnier with your table (apparently a favorite of the owner's). Don't quote me on that; I just know they used to do that and it never hurts to be extra kind to the servers. Everything is pretty A-OK and worth a visit at least once. Try out the different pizzas and see which are your favorites!

A nice bar to stop by. Tons of beers on tap to try, ranging from light beer to heavy IPAs. There's seating both inside (high tops) and outside (picnic tables). Service is very friendly.

We made a last-minute decision to try for some of the nightly jazz (except Monday) at 18th & 21st on a Friday evening (Oct 2025), hip-ly named for the prohibition amendment and repeal :-) There's a free parking garage right across from the entrance of the building they share with a sister restaurant, Cured. We arrived in the bright seasonally-decorated welcoming lobby about 7:50pm. We ought to have made reservations, but in under 10min, the reception staff took us to the more intimate room towards the back where we were seated at at the bar, which is really what we wanted. When we arrived, the 6pm jazz band had just gone on break, so we felt free to chat with friendly regulars and with the bar staff. They have a changing list of ten craft beers from $6 to $21, plus one $6 non-alcoholic brew. Five of the $14-$35 per-glass vintage wines from their list of 17 are preserved with the "corovin" system that keeps air out, so they are never "corked". We focussed on their list of 11 crafted $13-$22 cocktails plus 5 non-alcoholic ones, all made with quality ingredients, each naming the staff member(s) (and guests) who formulated the recipe! We found Alex's $16 Fernetinez sublimely sweet: of bitter fernet amaro, Frederick-based locally-sourced award-winning McClintock One Last Time gin (exclusive for 18th&21st), smooth Luxardo liqueur, and a sweet vermouth. We loved the aroma and flavor of the classic Smoked Old Fashioned of bourbon from Kentucky's 10th-oldest distillery, Green River, moved to a mild well-rounded sweetness by brown sugar simple syrup, smoked in front of me by Mike (if i remember), with added richness from smoky bitters. They have a creative menu of $30 to $65 entrees, plus salads, small plates, apps, and sides, and they have a changing menu of small plates. We really hadn't planned on eating, but we couldn't resist. The $17 duck bao buns had thin tender filets with a sweet lightly-salty apricot-soy glaze and a tangy crunchy pickled cucumber slaw on a soft folded yeasted slightly-sweet white-flour bun. The $12 pair of fried fresh-tasting oysters were sweet and juicy with a light-flavored crunchy crust. They were so yummy, and easy to enjoy with our cocktails. Rodney Kelly's jazz band was excellent, playing with spirit, joking with each other and the audience, even staging a song or two with a skilled member of the restaurant staff. Afterwards we had brief moments with some of the band members, like an intimate jazz club. Later in the evening, i also had a Turkish Sunset, a Manhattan-variation created in a collaboration among the staff and a guest (Well-done Ozzie!). I love Elijah Craig, and wanted to try their dry toasted rye, with housemade allspice dram syrup, Small Hands grenadine, and bitters. By now, i felt very much at home with the staff, and when i learned that one of them had helped formulate this beverage, i confided that its amazing complexity was, for me, just a touch too dry. Alex (if i remember) considered the ingredients and the target flavors, and added just a touch of a sweet lemony liqueur, perfectly complimenting the recipe's flavors! Real-time crafting goes above and beyond, Thank you! (And when they next update the menu, maybe they'll have a custom option named for me :-)

I decided upon their Escape Pina Colada Sour after Juan gave me a sample when he noticed my hesitancy and I agreed I could down a glass since it didn't taste like an actual beer after sipping lol I asked for a menu after some time had passed and after I tried scanning the QR code on the bar multiple times (don't do that. It's for the actual woodworker/carpenter lol) I saw their Tuesday special online but it wasn't mentioned on the menu so I asked and was informed it was only for the restaurant side (Frisco). I was confused because when I walked in on the Frisco side I asked the bartender about the brewery side since I knew I'd have to sample something before committing and was informed to go through the restroom door to reach it on the other side. I made sure to ask if I could also order food from over there as well and was informed I could. No worries though, Juan took care of me and was able to place the order for me. I was about to be bad and order fries but he recommended their parmesan risotto instead and I thought, of course! Then, I remembered they offered seasonal veggies and asked about it and to my happy surprise was informed they had bok choy or brussels sprouts! Either would be yummy so I quickly agreed. This is definitely a local's spot. Many people came in and were known my first names so I felt comforted by that. They're was also a manager on the phone figuring out a mishap with their POS system as well which made me feel like they were on their stuff. Highly appreciated plus he quickly picked up my keys when I dropped them also so I didn't have to get down from my seat. Speaking to a girlies heart The light was low so my pics show that and when I attempted to correct it, it just wasn't it lol. I enjoyed the bok choy and couldn't make out the flavors but they didn't take away from the slight pepperiness of it and the stalk still had it's crunch. But my crab cake was tasty. I don't know if i can get on board with the inside but being crazy hot. The one I had the day prior wasn't hot inside either and I don't want it deep fried . . . . . Hmmmmm, small I start a crab cake tour I've been awaiting this journey . . . . I shall! So this is officially stop No. 2 Crab cake was seasoned well. Not too much seasoning and not bland. The outside was covered with jumbo lump clusters and the color on the broil was perfect. Fresh parsley throughout and cocktail sauce was given but I wasn't going to take away from their version. Was it MD crab? I'm not sure but I feel like if it was, it would have been advertised as such. Still good and I'd order again. I can see myself coming back after work to take advantage of their HH many times in the future.
