Review of Ko's Kitchen, Beltsville, MD After not being able to dine at Murry's and Paul in Brookland, DC due to not carrying cash for their CASH ONLY establishment, we drove the additi9nal 24 minutes to Ko's Kitchen. And in my opinion, it was worth the drive. Nestled off Rhode Island Avenue and Powder Mill Rd in the lil' shopping center that used to house Circuit City many moons ago, we found it easy to find and navigate since there's parking in the strip mall lot. For me? The Super Omelet filled with ham, sausage, bacon, mushroom, onion, tomato and green peppers. It comes with your choice of grits or home fries and toast. For him? The French Toaat Platter with 2 eggs and your choice of meat. We give it a 9/10 due to cleanliness, customer service, taste and convenience. Stopped in here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. It appeared to be very clean and pretty spacious. You can dine in but you have to place your order at the counter. There's no table service for ordering -however they do deliver your food to your table if you're dining in. The employees were very welcoming and you can actually see the cooks while your food is being prepared. The wait wasn't too long for most, however I believe the potatoes held my order up. The food was made to order came out hot and fresh, I could have been given a little more bacon on my bacon, egg and cheeses sandwich, so I recommend selecting that .... Potatoes were pretty good, Overall this spot wasn't bad, but I'm in no rush to returned. Giving 3 stars for the cleanliness and the great customer service. read more

First time at Ko's and it won't be my last! Such a cute mom and pop shop vibes restaurant with seating. It was packed when I went and I ordered the french toast platter with eggs and scrapple. It took about 10 minutes for my food to be ready. It was so good! I cant wait to try the rest of their menu. read more

Oh I really like this place. I came here to pick up breakfast before work and decided to sit and stay in the dining area to enjoy my meal. The restaurant is clean and has an spacious and nicely arranged dining room area. The bathroom is super clean and also for guest. They are so nice and kind and helpful. I was excited about a "Loco Moco" being from Hawaii and seeing this on the menu made me excited, I had to check it out... it was a interesting spectacle, Korean male owner Korean, and Hispanic female cooks. I ordered the loco moco...The eggs were fine, the hamburger pattie was thin, tasty, but mostly oatmeal textured, stretching the ground beef, totally disappointing. Service was amazing! Everyone was kind and said hello. My friend asked for jelly and they didn't have any packets so they squeezed some out for her and brought it to our table. Every time I am in the area, I come here for breakfast, and I enjoy my meal each time. I have tried several specials and have been pleased each time. Nice little place for breakfast and lunch. The airy dining room is bigger than it looks from the outside. Order at the counter on your left, and the food will be brought out when it's ready. I had to go for the freshly squeezed lemonade, with two slices of lemon floating in the cup. Yum! The Italian sub was solid, fresh roll and good fillings. Cordial service, moderate prices, good food. They knew people by name and checked on them and their families which shows you how much a place cares about their customers. The hours are 6-2 and with the quality of the food and drinks I'm honestly okay with it. I got a strawberry mango pineapple smoothie and it's better than what I usually get from smoothie king which says a lot. The price was perfect for the size that you get as well. They had freshly squeezed lemonade at the front that we we saw them just squeezing !! The menu is broad which gives you alot Of breakfast and lunch options. Everything is so grab and delicious. They also have freshly baked cookies that you can smell throughout when they first make them. We got the bulgogi bowl, Club sandwich and fries not going to lie everything was fresh and pipping hot and tasted so good 12/10. Greeted very friendly as soon as my family and I walked in. Menu is very straight forward. I grew up in Brooklyn and this place reminded me of NY bodega so even though I came in with the idea of getting am omelet, I instantly felt a calling for a baconeggncheez (iykyk). I got it on a croissant and it was cooked perfectly. My husband got one as well with a fried egg and said it was great. My son got a breakfast burrito and even though the menu makes it seems like it's basic, it's not. It came with peppers, onions and homefries inside in addition to his choice of meat and 2 eggs and cheese. He said it was the best buritto he ever had (but to he fair, my 12 year old says that whenever anything is delicious to him.) Lastly my 9 year old daughter got the BLT and the choices were white or wheat bread but I bet if you asked for it on a bagel or croissant, they'd easily obliged. The lettuce and tomato on her BLT looked incredibly bright and fresh. You can tell this place takes pride in their ingredients. I wish I would have taken pics of the food but we were so hungry we dove right in. My husband found this place and I went along with the ride, normally im the one who finds a new place to check out but he hit a home run with here so maybe I'll sit back and let him pick again. Don't expect any fancy decor when you come. It's a pretty straight forward, no frills place but it still feels very much inviting. Friendly staff. Good affordable breakfast. I ordered bacon, eggs, shredded potatoes (hash brown potatoes) and croissant the first time I went. I made a bacon and egg sandwich with strawberry jelly added. I ate the potatoes separately. I give the sandwich an 8 out of 10 and the potatoes 7 out of 10. The eggs and potatoes were not seasoned at all. I started eating the eggs separately, before I made the sandwich, so I asked for seasoning to add flavor. The second time I went, I didn't need much seasoning, because I had the bacon and jelly to compliment the sandwich. The potatoes were OK. They would have been better with season and peppers and probably cooked in less oil. I'm not a big fan off shredded potatoes so my review is a little bias. The meal was less that $10. Went to Ko's Kitchen after finding it on Apple Maps and seeing that it had all good reviews on Yelp. The decor is simple but well done and the food is delicious and well-priced! As I waited for my order, I witnessed several people (obviously locals who come often) greeted by name as they walked in. It made for such a welcoming atmosphere! They also used fresh eggs for all of their breakfast items rather than eggs from a carton. The difference in taste was definitely there and appreciated! Don't let the lack of reviews fool you as I believe this place just opened last year. Go and try it for yourself! my co worker and I ordered 2 grilled chicken wraps , the grilled chicken was overcooked tough and tasted old. we returned the wraps (wanted tuna melt but they ran out of tuna) and just got 2 BLT sandwiches smh 2 pieces of bacon on a whole sandwich cut in half filled with mayo, tomato and lettuce. I ordered the breakfast platter which includes two scrambled eggs w cheese and the kielbasa sausage. The platter was tasty. The French toast had a generous dusting of cinnamon and sugar. Moist and peel apart with a fork, no butter was needed. The eggs were cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of cheese. The beef sausage was amazing. Not to be outdone, the star of the show is the chocolate chip cookie. The cookie is a must try and was amazing. This cookie is made with real huge chocolate chunk chips.
