Lantz's restaurant 8/10 delicious steak and eggs The steak was cooked to perfection tender, juicy, and seasoned just right while the eggs were fluffy and scrambled to perfection. The service was just as impressive friendly, attentive, and fast. A fantastic meal and a great experience overall. I'll definitely be coming back!

I've eaten takeout from this restaurant once before however on this occasion I dined in. I wanted to confirm my impression from the previous visit. The wait service was excellent however the food was less than. Unfortunately the cheese omelette, scrambled eggs, home fries and french toast all lacked essential flavor. In fact, I'd go as far to say none of them were seasoned at all. The only thing that saved the food was the cheese on the eggs which provided its own flavor and the syrup which obviously added a sweetness to the French toast. The meal didn't lack freshness; it's just the essential seasoning wasn't there. It was very disappointing because the customer service from Lin was great. Give them a shot and experience it for yourself.

This was my first time here ... I wasn't too impressed . I ordered the 2 pancakes , 2 eggs with bacon . My food was just okay . The pancakes were extremely fluffy which made it difficult to enjoy . However the bacon was good . My friend ordered a ham n cheese omelet with home fries . To him, the eggs were cold and not scrambled hard , like requested . The food was just ok. The young gentleman at the register was nice . The overall vibe was very welcoming . Clean and the service . Definitely a nice spot to come eat with the family , friend , or just to have a meal alone .

This place was great! What a cool hidden find. Thanks Yelp! Tucked in a strip mall next to a vape shop, Lantz and their Dutch market was a perfect choice for lunch and fresh donuts (lunch dessert). Good homecooking for cheap. Our group of 4 adults and 2 kids ate for $40 (including tip). The market had a ton of options: breads, meats, pretzels, cheese. If I lived in the area, it would definitely be a go to for groceries.

We have been trying to get into this local favorite but every time we try the line is out the door. This is the restaurant Inside the amazing Dutch Market. Well last night was our lucky night! Got there early around 4:30 to beat the crowd. First impression was not a good one, carpet that is heavily soiled and stained. We were seated right away for our group of 6. The rest of the restaurant seemed clean and the menu was crazy long! They offer everything you would expect from an Amish Restaurant. Most in my group opted for a hamburger ... I went for the Pot Roast. All was delicious . The buns on the burgers were homemade. Sorry, they ate so fast that I didn't get a picture of one. I did snap one of my Pot Roast. It was more like Roast Beef, served over stuffing with Mashed Potatoes and Mac & Cheese. I would recommend this place and I would try the Fried Chicken next time.

Pot roast over gravy with macaroni and mash

Omg so I am sucker for traditional comfort food! I died when I came here, literally I could eat everything off this menu! I ordered the pot roast over stuffing with mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. It was soo good, the pot roast especially it had a good fat to meat ratio and it was nicely seasoned. The service was fast and excellent although I ordered to go it still took about 5 mins and you cannot beat that!

Today, I gave them another shot because Uber Eats was offering a buy one, get one free deal on the jerk chicken meal. I chose rice & peas with plantain for my sides. The chicken was cooked on the grill--which I love--because it really brings out the flavor in jerk chicken. I also requested my jerk sauce on the side since I prefer a dry rub style over a saucy one. The only drawback was the small bone pieces in the chicken and rice. That's something to be cautious about, especially if a child is eating the meal. The plantains were also inconsistent--some pieces were hard, while others were mushy. On the bright side, the coco bread was perfect and the Jamaican rum cake was phenomenal. Whoever baked that cake clearly took their time soaking it in rum. It reminded me of the way my grandmother used to make it--absolutely delicious. I would definitely order the rum cake again.

Usually with brunch we would do the bottomless mimosas and all but because I was driving I decided not to participate in that. And usually I would get chicken and waffles but I was in the mood for a burger. So I thought because their name is "Mad Cow" the burger would be the bomb...but nope it was not good at all. So I prefer a beef burger cooked medium with blue cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onions. When I burger got tot the table it was dry as a board. No blue cheese that I paid extra for and the burger was not cooked correctly it was cooked well done. Smdh. So the waiter brought me my blue cheese apologized about it and also gave me a mayo bottle. Even with the burger still was not good and the patty was so thick with no flavor not even salt and pepper was in it!! I tried their punch drink which was really good but for $15 a pop in a regular water glass was ridiculous. Make sure you don't get too tipsy as they already have like a 20% gratuity added on each of our checks no matter how small or big your group is which again is ridiculous! Will I come back...maybe only because I would like to try some Jamaican food they offer. But for brunch...it's a no for me!

Our server "Tai" was very rude and inattentive during our visit on Friday May 22nd. It took 10 mins for anyone to even greet us and that was after I'd gone back to the host stand to ask for a server. We he approached us, he said "what can I get for y'all" not once did he properly greet us or even introduce himself. As we ordered our drinks, we asked for calamari as an appetizer. After 15 mins of waiting for the drinks, I asked where was the calamari and he "never put it in" which I'd figured out at this point. Throughout our visit, Tai never once checked on us, refilled our waters or cleared our very small table of empty dishes after we'd eaten. Instead, he was enjoying the basketball game behind the bar and assisting the bartender. He'd left several tables unattended and didn't seem to have a care in the world. Ultimately, I had the manager on duty remove the 18% automatic gratuity from our check and didn't leave Tai one red cent. I feel like I will return to this location for the food. As I stated before, the food is exceptional. Service is awful in my opinion and needs some major adjustments.

The pizza was loaded--pepperoni, sausage, and ham were generous, so you definitely get your money's worth if you like a meat-heavy slice. The cheese was melty and abundant, though I would've loved a bit more balance with the sauce--it could've used a touch more seasoning or tang to cut through the richness. When I finally stopped by, I actually enjoyed myself. I liked the atmosphere, the energy, and the overall vibe. I even thought it was somewhere I would return to regularly, especially after learning that it was a black-owned business. As someone who intentionally supports black-owned businesses whenever possible, I was excited to have discovered a new place to support. Unfortunately, that changed at the end of the night. As closing time approached, I was standing with a glass of wine in my hand when, to my surprise, a member of the security staff (tall African American man with locs) randomly walked up to me and took the drink directly out of my hand. There was no "Excuse me." No "Ma'am, we're closing, I'll give you a few seconds to finish your drink, then you have to leave." No polite request to finish my drink and make my way out. Nothing! I completely understand that businesses have closing times. That is not my issue. My issue is the complete lack of respect and professionalism in the way the situation was handled. There was absolutely no reason for anyone to remove a drink from my hand without first speaking to me. A simple conversation would have accomplished the exact same result. Instead, the interaction felt rude, unnecessary, disrespectful, and honestly insulting. What bothered me most was how easily the situation could have been handled differently. A customer who is calmly standing with a drink in her hand should not be treated as though she is incapable of understanding a simple request. Respectful communication costs nothing! As someone who makes a conscious effort to support black-owned businesses, this experience was especially disappointing. I walked into The Hideout wanting to support the establishment and left feeling more disrespected than I have ever felt at any business I have patronized. After sharing my experience with a few individuals, I was surprised to learn that more than one person reported having negative interactions with the same security guard. I can only speak to my own experience, but hearing similar stories from others makes me wonder whether this behavior is an ongoing issue rather than an isolated incident. It is unfortunate that the actions of one employee completely changed my perception of what otherwise appeared to be a great establishment. One employee's behavior was enough to ensure that I will not return. I do not spend my money where I am treated with disrespect, spoken down to, or handled as though I am a child! I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously because no customer should be treated this way. Respect is the bare minimum when interacting with paying customers, and this entire situation could have been avoided with a simple, polite request. Please train your staff to do better!
