Updating my review from nearly 10 years ago. I recently visited on Mother's Day because everywhere else had a long wait, and while the experience wasn't bad, it wasn't particularly memorable either. We waited quite a while to be seated despite the restaurant not seeming overly crowded. Our server was friendly, though a few requests had to be repeated. The food was just okay. My fettuccine Alfredo was mediocre, my mom wasn't impressed with her meal, and my daughter didn't eat much of hers either. I also ordered a margarita with tajín on the rim, which completely overpowered the drink for me. The highlight of the visit was the complimentary Mother's Day stemless wine glass, which was a thoughtful touch and a nice keepsake. Sun Apr 26, 2026 Had a pretty horrible experience. Ordered an appetizer, the shrimp and toast, as we were pretty hungry, $16.99, appetizer didn't come out until fifteen minutes after we got our food. The steak my husband ordered, $34.99 a piece, were well over done. The outer inch of the steak was not only curling, but looked like beef jerky. The manager, white male - mid 30s, came over to tell us that the steak was in fact cooked medium and asked if we wanted the steak back or did we want a medium rare steak. This not only made my introverted husband very uncomfortable, he already didn't want to speak up, but made him not eat any of the food they brought back. I cut up pieces of the steak to show that it was dry and over medium to every person that came to the table, two waiters took them back. I still paid the full bill and tipped 18%. I'm not against the waitress but the manager never attempted to even look at the Raw chicken. Visited BJ's tonight for my boyfriend's niece's high school graduation. Grace was our waitress and she was really sweet. She did forget to bring me water but we were a party of 13 so that's understandable. I ordered ahi tuna salad which was a bit spicy with the wasabi. It was a large portion size but not enough tuna in my opinion. Also ordered the strawberry dream and that was way too sweet, I had to water it down. Otherwise, a very nice time. Live. Love. Laugh. Pizookie. BJ's may be your average American-fare, pub and restaurant, but they have truly mastered the art of the pizookie (dessert). The Monkey bread pizookie is to die for! Any of them are delicious and big enough to share (if you're feeling generous). The rest of the meals I've had from them have been decent, so it's a great place to stop by with the fam if you're celebrating something or just want a simple, but nice dinner. Service has always been pleasant whenever I go. As long as they have a pizookie on their menu I'll always go back to BJ's. read more

Always have a good time when I come here. I started this review sadly a couple years ago and never finished. That is one thing that I do like about yelp's new feature of holding on to pass pictures. I came here last Sunday to watch the Steelers versus commanders game and I wasn't in the mood for something so heavy when I first arrived. I ordered an espresso martini and when I first felt the coldness on my stomach and knew I needed to have something warm so I ordered tea however they were out but I opted for hot water with lemon instead. Next I tried the chicken tortilla soup after asking to staff members if it was good. It was extremely too salty so I had to send it back. Next thing I tried was there avocado egg rolls and I wish they were crispier and I'm unsure what steps were missed and making sure they were crispy but they had a lot of room to be so much better. The last thing I tried were the chicken pot stickers and I was offered to have them steamed or pan seared so I opted for pan seared because I wanted that crisp on the bottom. They came out on top of a small mix which would have been wonderful if the dipping sauce wasn't spilled on it because that made it entirely way too salty as well. I was able to eat the potstickers and some of the top salad which were really good paired together. I know not everyone can offer brunch but at 12:30 on a sunday, it's really what I wanted and it wasn't anything to choose from. I moved to Laurel almost 7 years ago and I recall being able to come here and it be very enjoyable. Unfortunately, it's just like the rest of Laurel, "ghetto". Straight nose dive into the ground. We continue to try as it is super convenient location and so desperately want a local sports bar but DAMN! I came here a few years ago and the deep dish pizza used to be something BJ's was actually known for. Now? The quality has completely fallen off. The ingredients taste cheap--like something straight out of a Domino's box, not a real restaurant. And the worst part? There wasn't a drop of pizza sauce on it. Who serves a "pizza" with no sauce? Saturday morning brunch with some friends, it was pretty empty when we got in. Food was pretty good, the wings were good but a bit over crisp to my liking. Burger was yummy too but missing a bit of a zing to it as it was dry to my tastes. However it was sure a hearty meal! Next time maybe I'll need to add more sauce or pickled onions to it. Loved the crispy fried jalapeños with it though! Ambiance was pretty chill they played a lot of popular jams which was fun and enjoyable for my friends and I to dine in. The boba drinks I got was some white peach drink but I got it as a Virgin drink. It was pretty yummy but has a slight tart flavoring as lemonade was used at the base! Prices were affordable. Our server Felicia was super friendly and nice. But the they seemed to be very understaffed. We had a big table, i get it. And we wanted seperate checks. But to wait close to 15-20 minutes after sitting before anyone came to us was ridiculous. Food was decent for the price. Alot of promotions and deals to be had. They also screwed up my points on the app as well. Towards the end it also took a long time for them bring out boxes to pack up and we had to wait for our pizookies to go as well. This was not Felicia's fault, but staffing on the management side in my opinion. I can tell she was cleary overbooked with alot of other tables. I even asked a manager for a condiment and he never came back with it. Felicia came back with it rite away. They need to make Felicia the manager. read more

I've been to BJ's on multiple occasions, and to this specific one twice. Pretty solid place for a casual family dinner or just a nice dinner, that isn't super casual but not fancy either. Our waiter was also the manager there I believe. He was very attentive, and kind. The food was overall good. I got Baby Back Pork Ribs, delicious! With a side of garlic roasted vegetables, (also delicious) and white cheddar mashed potatoes (not good at all, very bland). And my drink was a Strawberry Dream (delicious!!). Only 1/5 of our group wasn't a fan of her food. And of course we got the pizookie's as dessert, never go wrong there. Cookies and Creme one is recommended. The food quality seems to have gone down recently. Today, we ordered a personal-sizes deep dish pizza and it didn't resemble anything like a traditional deep dish. Not served in the pan, it looked (and tasted) like a regular Pizza Hut pizza. I was disappointed because I've ordered this same item before, maybe a year ago and I was happy enough to consider ordering it again today. We also ordered a full rack of ribs. The best I could say is that the portion size was generous but there was so much sauce, you could barely taste the meat. We had to scrape sauce off for it to be edible. Not highly seasoned. Overall I enjoyed the dish as I have a long standing soft spot for Chicken Parma. Our server was very attentive. The restaurant is large featuring a wood motif. The bar looked huge. Lunch crowd on a holiday Monday, Presidents Day, was smallish. As we were trying to find a place to eat other non-chain area restaurants either opened at 4:00 or were closed for the holiday. Hence, we thought a chain would be open and we settled on BJs. That is the problem when you go with a sandwich like that when you try an iconic dish the chain version disappoints. Overcooked, lukewarm the dip was cold. They have awesome nighttime happy hour specials! Their selection for beer is unbeatable! They have over 30 beers on tap ranging from dark to light to ciders! The prices were decent and they have really yummy food. The waitress was super nice too. I would definitely come back! read more
