Joanna and Bruce were amazing. Went above and beyond. I couldnt ask for better service and attentiveness

Warning for Anyone With a Gluten Allergy I visited this restaurant with my sister because it advertised itself as gluten-free friendly. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. I informed the waiter that I had a severe gluten allergy, so I ordered a burger on their gluten-free bun. My order came out with fried jalapeños that were not gluten-free. When I asked about it, the waiter had to check and then confirmed that they contained gluten. If I hadn't caught this, eating them could have caused me severe pain. There was also an issue with cross-contamination, and the guacamole contained cheese, which I had to send back as well. The manager apologized and gave us a gift card to give the restaurant another try. However, during our next visit, we waited over a hour an a half for our food...This time, the manager apologized by giving us 1 free cookie. After these experiences, we have decided never to eat here again. If you have a gluten sensitivity or allergy, please be very cautious when dining here. I felt that the staff spent more time on their phones than taking the time to double-check food allergies and dietary restrictions. I expected more from a restaurant that promotes itself as gluten-free friendly. Very disappointed. read more

The food here is consistently good, but the service is honestly a coin flip. I've been here four times. The first two visits were great. Both servers were attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. Unfortunately, the last two visits were a completely different experience. On my third visit, our server was very slow, I noticed him on his phone multiple times, and he forgot our appetizers. When our entrees came out, I asked about the appetizers and he said, "Oh, it's coming out right now," then went to get them. When they finally came out, the guacamole was brown. Clearly, the appetizer had been forgotten and had been sitting in the window. What was especially frustrating was that he later told the manager that "we didn't like it," rather than explaining that he had forgotten the appetizer and it had sat waiting to be served. There was also a much more serious issue with my sister's meal. She has a severe gluten allergy, and we communicated this to the server multiple times. She ordered a gluten-free burger on gluten-free bread. When the burger came out, it had a deep-fried garnish on it. I'm not sure exactly what the garnish was, but my sister could not eat the burger as it was presented. We had to explain the allergy again and have the burger remade. I don't expect a server to know every ingredient or exactly how every item in the kitchen is prepared. However, when a customer clearly communicates that they have a severe allergy, that information needs to be communicated to the kitchen. If the server had properly noted the allergy, the kitchen would have had an opportunity to flag that the order was not entirely gluten-free. My sister could then have ordered something else or simply asked for the garnish to be left off. Unfortunately, when the burger came back, there was still an issue. At that point, my sister told them she didn't want it anymore, and we left. We had spent about an hour there and left hungry. To be fair, the manager was very apologetic about what happened and gave us a $20 gift card to come back and try the restaurant again. That was actually the reason we returned for our fourth visit. For that fourth visit, I decided not to dine in because I didn't want to deal with the possibility of poor service. I ordered takeout instead, and somehow there was still a service issue. Our food was prepared, but the person handling takeout never told us it was ready. We were literally sitting about two feet from the takeout counter. After waiting for roughly an hour, we finally went up and asked about our food, only to be told that we should have checked back ourselves. At every other restaurant I've been to, when you order takeout, the food is prepared, packaged, and brought to the pickup area or you're told that it's ready. Apparently here, you're expected to keep checking whether your order exists. I guess that's what I get for being patient and giving them time. Overall, the food has been consistently good, but the service has been extremely inconsistent. Two of my four visits had good service, while the other two had significant problems. Half the time the service is perfectly fine, and the other half I've seen servers on their phones or watching the game on the TV by the bar instead of paying attention to customers. The food is good, but after four visits, I can't confidently recommend this restaurant unless you're willing to take your chances with the service. read more

Updating my review from nearly 10 years ago. I recently visited on Mother's Day because everywhere else had a long wait, and while the experience wasn't bad, it wasn't particularly memorable either. We waited quite a while to be seated despite the restaurant not seeming overly crowded. Our server was friendly, though a few requests had to be repeated. The food was just okay. My fettuccine Alfredo was mediocre, my mom wasn't impressed with her meal, and my daughter didn't eat much of hers either. I also ordered a margarita with tajín on the rim, which completely overpowered the drink for me. The highlight of the visit was the complimentary Mother's Day stemless wine glass, which was a thoughtful touch and a nice keepsake. Overall, BJ's remains about where I remember it--perfectly fine, but nothing that has me rushing back. read more

I ordered the deep dish pizza from BJ's in Laurel and it was very hearty and filling. The crust was thick and buttery with a nice golden bake, holding up well under all the toppings. The pizza was loaded--pepperoni, sausage, and ham were generous, so you definitely get your money's worth if you like a meat-heavy slice. Flavor-wise, it was savory and rich, but on the greasier side, which is pretty expected with deep dish. The cheese was melty and abundant, though I would've loved a bit more balance with the sauce--it could've used a touch more seasoning or tang to cut through the richness. Overall, it's a solid deep dish option when you're craving something heavy and indulgent. Not an everyday pizza, but perfect for sharing or when you want comfort food that really sticks. ***Mondays Large Pizza is $20 read more

Sun Apr 26, 2026 Had a pretty horrible experience. Ordered an appetizer, the shrimp and toast, as we were pretty hungry, $16.99, appetizer didn't come out until fifteen minutes after we got our food. The steak my husband ordered, $34.99 a piece, were well over done. The outer inch of the steak was not only curling, but looked like beef jerky. The manager, white male - mid 30s, came over to tell us that the steak was in fact cooked medium and asked if we wanted the steak back or did we want a medium rare steak. This not only made my introverted husband very uncomfortable, he already didn't want to speak up, but made him not eat any of the food they brought back. I cut up pieces of the steak to show that it was dry and over medium to every person that came to the table, two waiters took them back. Then our waiter came back and said sorry I wish I could take it off, that's well over done. I'd just steer clear of this particular BJs. read more

Meh so so. My wife enjoyed her salad and said it was perfect. I had ac10 inch pan pizza that was ok but only warm vs hot. Considering it comes in an iron skillet it should be piping hot. I think it was either warmed up in the oven or it sat out a while. read more

Visited BJ's tonight for my boyfriend's niece's high school graduation. Grace was our waitress and she was really sweet. She did forget to bring me water but we were a party of 13 so that's understandable. I ordered ahi tuna salad which was a bit spicy with the wasabi. It was a large portion size but not enough tuna in my opinion. Also ordered the strawberry dream and that was way too sweet, I had to water it down. Otherwise, a very nice time. I like that they have daily deals throughout the week. Would happily return. read more

Second time at Bjs. One time in Raleigh and the other time in laurel. We were so excited to give a second chance but I was served raw chicken and then told it was a blood vessel. I still paid the full bill and tipped 18%. I'm not against the waitress but the manager never attempted to even look at the Raw chicken. I have worked food and retail for years so I get that things happen but I didn't under just telling me it wasn't raw. read more

Stopped in to have a quick drink before my next adventure and was pleasantly greeted by Jade the bartender . I had an order of the pot stickers that were pan seared . You do have the option to have them fried as well. I also had the pink Cadillac martini , its X rated liquor, and sky vodka plain . Equal parts twist of lime and there it is . Great customer service , they have great craft beers too read more

Live. Love. Laugh. Pizookie. BJ's may be your average American-fare, pub and restaurant, but they have truly mastered the art of the pizookie (dessert). The Monkey bread pizookie is to die for! Any of them are delicious and big enough to share (if you're feeling generous). The rest of the meals I've had from them have been decent, so it's a great place to stop by with the fam if you're celebrating something or just want a simple, but nice dinner. Service has always been pleasant whenever I go. As long as they have a pizookie on their menu I'll always go back to BJ's. read more

Always have a good time when I come here. I started this review sadly a couple years ago and never finished. That is one thing that I do like about yelp's new feature of holding on to pass pictures. I came here last Sunday to watch the Steelers versus commanders game and I wasn't in the mood for something so heavy when I first arrived. I ordered an espresso martini and when I first felt the coldness on my stomach and knew I needed to have something warm so I ordered tea however they were out but I opted for hot water with lemon instead. Next I tried the chicken tortilla soup after asking to staff members if it was good. It was extremely too salty so I had to send it back. Next thing I tried was there avocado egg rolls and I wish they were crispier and I'm unsure what steps were missed and making sure they were crispy but they had a lot of room to be so much better. The last thing I tried were the chicken pot stickers and I was offered to have them steamed or pan seared so I opted for pan seared because I wanted that crisp on the bottom. They came out on top of a small mix which would have been wonderful if the dipping sauce wasn't spilled on it because that made it entirely way too salty as well. I was able to eat the potstickers and some of the top salad which were really good paired together. I know not everyone can offer brunch but at 12:30 on a sunday, it's really what I wanted and it wasn't anything to choose from. That isn't their fault but I was hoping they would have a good quality soup at least. Is that still me asking too much . . . read more

So I'll start here, I went to BJ's cause I didn't feel like cooking and I was on my solo self love type of vibe. I went to grab me something to eat and opted out for an healthy meal. This was it!! The salmon with rice and green veggies.. the food was great as it was referred by my RUKIAT... very lovely waitress.. very accommodating and I'd say that she made it a joy to dine at this location.. Rukiat thank you read more

Saturday morning brunch with some friends, it was pretty empty when we got in. Food was pretty good, the wings were good but a bit over crisp to my liking. Burger was yummy too but missing a bit of a zing to it as it was dry to my tastes. However it was sure a hearty meal! Next time maybe I'll need to add more sauce or pickled onions to it. Loved the crispy fried jalapeños with it though! Ambiance was pretty chill they played a lot of popular jams which was fun and enjoyable for my friends and I to dine in. The boba drinks I got was some white peach drink but I got it as a Virgin drink. It was pretty yummy but has a slight tart flavoring as lemonade was used at the base! Overall I think it'll be a good place to try other foods on their menu! read more

I moved to Laurel almost 7 years ago and I recall being able to come here and it be very enjoyable. Unfortunately, it's just like the rest of Laurel, "ghetto". Straight nose dive into the ground. We continue to try as it is super convenient location and so desperately want a local sports bar but DAMN! Place should be shut down and maybe another spot could be welcomed with less disappointment. read more

I came here a few years ago and the deep dish pizza used to be something BJ's was actually known for. Now? The quality has completely fallen off. The ingredients taste cheap--like something straight out of a Domino's box, not a real restaurant. And the worst part? There wasn't a drop of pizza sauce on it. Who serves a "pizza" with no sauce? It was ridiculous and honestly a waste of money. I'd never order this again. read more

Prices were affordable. Our server Felicia was super friendly and nice. But the they seemed to be very understaffed. We had a big table, i get it. And we wanted seperate checks. But to wait close to 15-20 minutes after sitting before anyone came to us was ridiculous. Food was decent for the price. Alot of promotions and deals to be had. They also screwed up my points on the app as well. Towards the end it also took a long time for them bring out boxes to pack up and we had to wait for our pizookies to go as well. This was not Felicia's fault, but staffing on the management side in my opinion. I can tell she was cleary overbooked with alot of other tables. I even asked a manager for a condiment and he never came back with it. Felicia came back with it rite away. They need to make Felicia the manager. read more

I had such a great experience at BJ's thanks to our amazing server, Tyrail. From the moment we sat down, he was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. He anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask, kept our drinks full, and made sure everything came out just right. It's rare these days to get service that feels both professional and personal, but Tyrail nailed it. He had such a great attitude and really elevated our entire dining experience. You can tell he takes pride in what he does - we left smiling and already planning to come back. If you go to BJ's, ask for Tyrail - he's fantastic! read more

I've been to BJ's on multiple occasions, and to this specific one twice. Pretty solid place for a casual family dinner or just a nice dinner, that isn't super casual but not fancy either. Our waiter was also the manager there I believe. He was very attentive, and kind. The food was overall good. I got Baby Back Pork Ribs, delicious! With a side of garlic roasted vegetables, (also delicious) and white cheddar mashed potatoes (not good at all, very bland). And my drink was a Strawberry Dream (delicious!!). Only 1/5 of our group wasn't a fan of her food. And of course we got the pizookie's as dessert, never go wrong there. Cookies and Creme one is recommended. American food. I had the Chicken Parma lunch special. My friend had the pizza lunch special. We enjoyed. The spaghetti that comes with the Chicken Parma is well seasoned. The Chicken is crisp. Not highly seasoned. Overall I enjoyed the dish as I have a long standing soft spot for Chicken Parma. Our server was very attentive. The restaurant is large featuring a wood motif. The bar looked huge. Lunch crowd on a holiday Monday, Presidents Day, was smallish. As we were trying to find a place to eat other non-chain area restaurants either opened at 4:00 or were closed for the holiday. Hence, we thought a chain would be open and we settled on BJs. The food quality seems to have gone down recently. Today, we ordered a personal-sizes deep dish pizza and it didn't resemble anything like a traditional deep dish. Not served in the pan, it looked (and tasted) like a regular Pizza Hut pizza. I was disappointed because I've ordered this same item before, maybe a year ago and I was happy enough to consider ordering it again today. We also ordered a full rack of ribs. The best I could say is that the portion size was generous but there was so much sauce, you could barely taste the meat. We had to scrape sauce off for it to be edible. The mozzarella sticks were good and we received a healthy portion. The servers were pleasant and attentive, no complaints there. read more

Here early, part of a group gathering. Huge menu. Went with French dip. That was a mistake. That is the problem when you go with a sandwich like that when you try an iconic dish the chain version disappoints. Overcooked, lukewarm the dip was cold. Now it would be unfair to judge based on my sandwich they had plenty of other items. The service was fine, the ambiance good. So try them yourself just don't order the French Dip! read more

Service was great she was super attentive. The ambiance is cute they have TV's everywhere so great place to watch the game.
