Continuing runner-up alphabet series to get a local DMV business representing 2021, L is for Ledo Pizza. Since living in Russett, I've gone to my nearest Ledo in Laurel multiple times in the past 5.5 years. Their pizza is great. I've gone for their 3-topping lunch special on a few occasions, and their pizza is top notch. They are efficient with getting the order in a timely manner, but they aren't terribly friendly. I most recently had the $6 Tuesday calzone, which was good, but a lot of bread, which I left some behind last time on April 7. The thing about the Calzone special is that there are no substitutions or I don't want this or that. I don't eat pork, which eliminates the meatlovers one off the bat. I don't like onions, so I could get the chicken one, but I'd have to deal with picking onions out or dealing with a few, same with the veggie one. So, that left me the Buffalo one. I didn't want tons of Buffalo sauce as I just wanted plain chicken in the first place. It was pretty good, and it thankfully wasn't drenched in tons of Buffalo sauce. But I still would've just wanted plain chicken. I think no substitutions is fine, but I think subtraction of an ingredient should be allowed; they would make more money with one less ingredient. Overall, Ledo is solid in spite of a couple of flaws. read more

This is technically a dine in Ledo, however it definitely feels like a carryout. A few tables had chairs up on them on a Saturday afternoon, all of the flat screen TVs around the dining area were off, and an employee was sitting at a table watching something on his phone at full volume. That said, the staff were nice, the pizza was good, just enough sauce, well-cooked crust, and they had beef pepperoni which is pretty unique. They don't have table service or serve beer or wine anymore, although they did at one point. read more

I ordered a pizza online and what I got was different than what I saw in the picture. The pizza was extremely overcooked. Where the cheese was burned. I have a tendency of not complaining however I was not trying to leave my house and take it back. So I ate a couple of pieces, but I'm very disappointed. read more

I am continuously having a great experience at this Ledos pizza in Laurel Md. The staff is friendly and go out of their way to make this a great dining experience. I have been to most of the Ledos restaurants in Maryland and Virginia. This one stands out above the rest in quality of food, excellent and very friendly service, and a great atmosphere. Most important to me is a good pizza with the proper amount of tomato sauce and cheese and cooked to what I consider perfect. I have never gotten a pizza that wasn't perfect. The pizzas are served with a smile and the management makes certain your experience is a great one. read more

My second 2 star review for this Ledo's. I only have issues with this location, all other locations get my orders right. For some reason they can't follow directions... I like extra sauce on my pizza & I like it to be well done, but this location can seem to only do one or the other & never both despite me selecting these options & even having to ask them to put it back in the oven when I go to pick up (on multiple occasions). Extra sauce means just that, extra sauce.... Not extra cheese not extra toppings.... Literally just extra sauce. One of the main focuses of pizza/Italian food is the sauce so why they give it dry pizzas is beyond me. I just got the driest pizza of my life with all cheese (too much) & no sauce. Of course it was closed by the time I got home to eat so now I'm SOL cause I'm starving & nothing is open. I don't understand how or why the people in this kitchen are so bad at pizza. This Ledos has an indoor seating like a restaurant. This was really refreshing. It gave me nostalgia; reminding me of the days when Pizza Hut was a resturant. Things to Note: *This location is placed in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. * If you are dining in, you order your food at the register. They will give you a number to place at your table. We sat in. We ordered the meatloaf pizza, hot honey pizza, red velvet cake, and angry orchard. Cons: * I was super annoyed that they had a sign that says "Vino" in the register area, but they don't sell wine. * The red velvet cake was definitely in the refrigerator for awhile. It was subpar. OMG, I was soooo apprehensive about going here today but I was starving and was picking up chicken from Wingstop next door (I've got words about them too). A pizza staple in the Laurel, Maryland area. I have been eating Ledo pizza since I was in elementary school. They are always generous with the toppings on your pizza, and the marinara is so sweet, and delicious. The square shape may throw you off, but do not let it. Their subs, sandwiches, and other dishes are fantastic too. Definitely order some of their buffalo wings. They are always large, and the buffalo sauce is so good. Their salads are also huge, and delicious. The service is always friendly, and the newly remodeled restaurant is very spacious. Just a warning, they can get extremely busy on the weekends, so get there early. I always love a visit to Ledo pizza. Give them a try. read more

Do not go to this place after 9:00. Granted I completely understand wanting to close and go home but WHY WOULD only have one register working and then 15 people standing around while one person struggles! With a line going out tbt door at one point. You have these kids in here playing games instead of helping. Then finally after one "scares" the other and brings attention to themselves do they start to help out. Like come on y'all. Do better !!! Subpar service... I ordered my pizza at 6:01 and was quoted 20 minutes. I arrived at 6:40 only to be told it still wasn't ready. At 6:45 when I received my food I asked what caused the delay. The cashier simply shrugged as if that was an acceptable answer. We are in the middle of a pandemic, asking customers to simply wait around in public areas insensitive and irresponsible. If 45 minutes is what you meant, say that. And then if there are delays apologize and take responsibility, not respond as if the customer is being irrational. It's a great Pizza shop that might only knows pizza at office subs and salads located in strip mall right off of one of the main streets in Laurel Maryland. Well I'm vacation I was wanting some really good pizza it was suggested by some friends to try out this location I'm glad that I did the pizza was delicious the toppings were nice and fresh and very hearty, We tried out the ultimate pizza which included vegetables and a variety of meats that were seasoned well & cooked to perfection The pizzas are square and cut into small slices which is great so if you have a group of people it's plenty a pizza to go around we also got the chicken wings we chose to flavors the old Bay and the Buffalo; I must say both flavors were fantastic The old Bay was a dry run so the chicken wings were little bit crazy but not too crispy and the Buffalo they were a little wet but not too wet where when you pick them up you got all messy; next time when I'm in town I know where I'll be getting pizza again. read more

This Ledo's in particular... I'm almost kinda glad it's far away, cause my waist line could not support it being closer. The service here was outstanding. I came in with my computer and my waitress was super kind and knew exactly the right amount of touches to make. She was training a waitress at the time and took a second to politely introduce her. I heard as she welcomed 2 tables of regulars of the restaurant. She knew their order by heart, but checked with them on small variations that they sometimes make. I mean, this waitress was on point. Additionally, my caesar side salad portion was large and fresh. The dressing was great ( as I expect from Ledos honestly), and the pizza came out with the perfect amount of melty goodness. If I'm laurel again, I'm sure to stop by here, and try and sit in this waitresses section. There is a difficult balance of waiting on someone who is working that is pretty hard to manage. As much as their corporate will never admit it, many of their locations taste differerent. There is no "McDonald's-like" quality control with these franchises. Accordingly, I've tried about 15 or so locations over the 20 years I've been eating from them and I like to get my double sausage/double cheese and green pepper from THIS location. My family is obsessed with Ledo's, so I guess I inherited that gene. I love that they are super interactive on Twitter and do give-always, because I finally won a gift card a few weeks ago! That's what brought me here today to order a pepperoni & onion pizza, plus a chicken parmesan entree. The pizza was the usual - huge, thick cut pepperoni, cheesy, a lil greasy - everything that makes Ledo's pizza Ledo's pizza! Somehow I managed to use self control and only have 4 squares. Oh that's because I also ate half my chicken parm! The chicken was nice and crispy with a perfectly melted slice of cheese on top. The spaghetti was spaghetti, nothing spectacular. I like how they open your box to make sure everything is up to par before you take it. I didn't have any issues with my order, but the lady ahead of me requested a minor change to her pizza and they handled it gracefully and respectfully like they should -- especially when you're paying the big bucks for this pizza ;) My pizza should keep me fed for a few days, so I'll def be in a good mood this week :) read more

Been going to Ledo's Pizza since the early 90s. Back then it was just the one in Langley Park. I've always loved their pizzas S does my family. And they are still good, i would assume at other locations. theres been management change and the pizza, at least here, is no longer that good. the dough crust is soggy. the ingredients are put on oddly so it doesn't seem like its cooked well. ever since they changed out management, which they apparently do from time to time for some reason - its been downhill. i actually ordered many months ago same situation. i had them re do my pizza twice before going back and asking for a refund. they uses to be on point with their calzone and pizza's. ill be going to BLAZE pizza. at least around here. I ordered a small sausage, mushroom, onion pizza exra sauce and well done. it wasnt well done. it just doesn't seem put together well these days. everything was just falling apart and the gooey crust doesn't help. Located in a diagonal-to-Baltimore-Avenue strip mall with Wingstop, Mango's Grill, Kabu Japanese Steakhouse, and UPS, the parking spots are limited and getting in and out of the parking lot can be tricky. The food itself at Ledo is delicious! Crispy crust, evenly layered cheese, cooked to perfection, not too greasy, and a generous size for $10! I ordered ahead of time online, paid online, and my order was ready when I picked up. The popularity of this pizza and pasta restaurant results in overcrowding and long lines with long waits. I waited about 15 min in line, and there were only a couple people in front of me. It was highly disorganized and troubling because their pickup area and takeout order area is in the same line, causing mass confusion. And that was a Monday night! I actually enjoy coming here since it isn't too packed. The servers seem to get a little over whelmed at times which I'm totally okay when it takes a while. It happens and I'm patient. The pizzas are so good. The three stars are because the young man who rings out to go orders or provides boxes, was not paying any attention to the customers. He was playing on his phone ignoring the fact of my fiance standing there saying excuse me three times because he just wanted to grab some to go boxes. Finally about the forth time the guy says "oh did you needed something?" At that point were annoyed. Despite that, the servers there are absolutely informative and kind. I grew up eating the original Ledos pizza in a Delphi and we all know that since they moved to the university of Maryland it's pitiful I think I've eaten every franchise in the Washington area I am Laurel usually has the best Ledos pizza except tonight I guess the less than a year just don't buy pizza Here on Tuesday Hope to get their act together we only get two chances with me and it's a long way To the next Ledos So I'm gonna give them four stars but next time I won't be so nice read more

Being from a region of the US that has real pizza (upstate NY), this is not close, but as far as I am concerned it is the best this area has to offer. Ledo's is very tasty and the ingredients are always fresh and of high quality. Excellent menu choices and deserts....though the slices of cake can be on the small size for what you pay. read more
