Saturday 7/25/2026: I don't even know where to start. We were looking for a place to have have a quick dinner because we had a last minute babysitter so we were excited to go out for an uninterrupted meal. We do frequent Maple Lawn, but I guess we are creature of habits because we've never looked at Galliano. First thing I did was take a peek at the cocktail, then the food menu and saw that the drink prices were comparable for the area and found one or two entrees that caught my eye. We called to make a reservation at 9:30p, although they said it wasn't necessary. It was an impromptu Saturday night and we got there right after the dinner rush so it was perfect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside, there was was beautiful, and the patio was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server Joe was phenomenal and incredibly personable. I ordered the Fettuccine Mediterraneo and my husband got the beef tenderloin (pics included). (Not pictured: Meat Lover pizza which was also very good.) The beef tenderloin It was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious and the scallops and shrimp were massive and so fresh. Keep in mind while these two menu items were pricey, the portion size is large and I had enough leftover pasta for lunch and dinner the next day and my husband had his leftovers for dinner on Sunday. We also ordered the espresso martini, Italian margarita, bourbon bramble aaaaand one other one but can't remember the name. We also had a nice chat with the young man named Chase who was clearing the tables and tidying up. I think it's important that you recognize and acknowledge when you have wonderful service, especially for young people who are just starting out with their jobs. (I'm sure he was so over us telling him how proud we were of him!) We definitely were not planning on spending that much money on ourselves for dinner, but hey--toddler parents need to be spoiled every now and again... it was absolutely worth it and we do not regret it. The only thing we regret is that we didn't try this place sooner! Thank you, Joe, Chase, the wonderful chefs, bartender, and a back of house staff. We can't wait to come back and try a new items! My husband and I went on a date night before a concert in Baltimore and just so happened to see this place as we were passing through town. We decided to stop in totally randomly and so grateful we did!! The service was incredible from start to finish. Every person we encountered had a wonderful temperament. The host was very kind and welcoming when we called and when we arrived. Our server was Billy, and he was by far the best server we've had in a LONG time! He was timely, attentive, friendly, and respectful. I am 8 months pregnant and he went above and beyond for us. At the end of dinner, he even gave us a very GRACIOUS gift card for us to return after the baby arrives! He also sent out a dessert with "congratulations!" written on it. We've never had anything like that happen before and we're so grateful. Since our families don't live in town and we didn't have a baby shower, Billy single-handedly made us feel so special and celebrated. (Billy if you ever see this we wish you the BEST in your future!) What we ate: Garlic Bread: Out of this world. Crispy crust, fluffy inside, and the herb-Parmesan/oil dip was amazing. Signature Meatball: Massive (nearly a pound!) and delicious. The whipped ricotta was a neat, airy touch. Linguine al Vongole: This was the only letdown. Unfortunately, the clams were too sandy to finish--only one in the whole dish wasn't gritty. The "sauce" felt more like a clam stock soup than a pasta sauce. However, the meal was comped and we really appreciated how they handled it! Lobster Ravioli: The rosé cream sauce and ravioli texture were great. However, the lobster and the crab on top tasted a bit fishy, and there were several shell fragments in the crab. Desserts: The Tiramisu was light and spot on. The Crème Brûlée was heavenly with a perfect "burnt marshmallow" sugar crust. The surprise Cannoli was divine--rich cinnamon flavor and a perfect crisp. The atmosphere: [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is family-friendly with a chic, modern, and warm charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We didn't order alcohol, but the hot tea selection (12 flavors or so to choose from) was great--the orange spice tea was perfect. The entire team is 10 stars. We saw a manager (tall gentleman) busting his ass on the floor, which shows how much they care. The bussing and food running crew were also incredibly attentive; food never sat long enough to get cold that I could tell (even for other tables). I overheard the server behind me, John, who sounded clearly wonderful to his tables. We will 100% be back because the menu is so diverse and the hospitality is unmatched. Started with the vegetable soup. The soup was good. The bartender was the waiter for about 3 tables. Every time we needed something we had to keep waving for his attention. Even to order and to pay the bill. He never came back to check on us. We had two flies constantly trying to land on our food so we had to cover it up! Flies are just disgusting. read more

Here's where things were not great or even good. Also, I rarely post a bad review. The chicken Marsala was more like a soup than classic Marsala. Chicken was plentiful and tender but so much gravy...some pasta. Just too much to appreciate or discern if it had a flavor. The real disappointment was the lasagna. It arrived with what appeared to be a slab of provolone on it and little sauce. What sauce it had was orange in color and not traditional marinara. The meat was dry and flavorless. My husband said on a scale of one to ten, it was a two. We now know why there are always coupons for this place. I discovered this restaurant a couple of days ago and decided to come for lunch. I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana and it was pretty good. The complimentary bread was very good and the dipping oil was quite flavorful. Disclaimer first. I work nearby, so the vast majority of my experiences here have been during lunch hours. I've done dinner here too, but that's pretty rare. So, maybe that should be part of the consideration with my review. Honestly, though? It's gone downhill somewhat over the past year or so. Our office still gets catered pizza lunches from them about once a month on average, and let me say... their pizza is great!! Even just their regular cheese pizza, though the Grandma's Pie might be my new favorite. The last two times I visited the restaurant for dine-in, though, I was very disappointed in my meal. In both cases, I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich; first it was the chicken parmesan and then recently it was the chicken Milanese. Both times, the chicken itself had very little flavor, if any! The toppings were fine, but there just wasn't anything to it, taste-wise. I was both surprised and underwhelmed. The bread they gave us to start was kind of stale. It was way too chewy to just be full of gluten. I wish the sandwiches were served on this type of bread, though, because they just use this ordinary soft regular sub roll, the kind you get at any supermarket. One naming complaint: they list their sandwiches as "panini." They are not. A panini should be grilled and pressed and served warm. These sandwiches are not grilled or pressed (see picture) and definitely not served warm. Just call them sandwiches, it's okay. The pepper shaker was empty. That's not really a huge deal, but it's indicative of a bigger issue... staffing. Or, cutting corners (standard tasks) because of a lack of time or personnel. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One of the small side plates the brought to the table had a huge chip missing out of the side. Again, it's a minor thing by itself. But, many minor things add up to a bigger picture[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Overall, though, it was a decent lunch (this last visit). Every restaurant has their ups and downs. I've really enjoyed the pappardelle bolognese here! The portion size of it is also huge, and I have leftovers for days. It's my favorite dish on the menu. We had take out here a few Nights ago. We had the Fettuccine Carbonara (3) and Spaghetti and Meatballs (4). The Carbonara didn't have a lot of flavor and the spaghetti and meatballs was very good. The order was on time when I arrived. We have had many other things here that are all good. read more

Update 8/25- They seem to be back on the ball. We enjoyed the brussels this time. Our waiter told us we could have it prepared differently (off menu) as deep fried with bacon and chili sauce. Although the Mediterranean Insalate (Salad) is smaller than before, it's still very fresh and tastes good with blackened chicken. Hubby and U split a pizza, which had good flavor! Desserts are tasty. Gallianos is a shirt drive from the major shopping center in Maple Lawn. I had a little trouble finding it because there is no signage on the building. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is spacious and connected to a business office. They have seating at a bar with options to watch different games as well as more intimate seating options[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. My friend and I ordered their Arancini as an appetizer. I thought the crunchy exterior paired with the soft and tomatoey filling was perfect. I also had their spaghetti and signature meatball dish. I was a little confused when my dish came out because it was 4 meatballs rather than one 12oz meatball that was listed in the menu description. The meatballs were lacking some flavor, but the spaghetti was my ideal bite. Their sauce is pretty sweet, but I like it that way! I was very impressed by their wide menu options. My girls took me out for my birthday, something different from Maggiano's or olive gardens. The server was great! On point and didn't miss a thing. But the food, not worth the price. My daughter got the seafood risotto and I got the linguine michaelongelo. Basically seafood linguine in a thick tomato sauce. The risotto was a mushy mess. My daughter muttered that her risotto was better so I took a small taste. It was so bland, even after she shook her salt shaker for a full minute. And the risotto was so over cooked, it was almost a porridge. And the crab meat was from a can. For almost $40, it was very disappointing. My pasta sauce was good but again, a bit bland. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It did not seem like it was too busy as we didn't have reservations and were able to be seated right away and it was not overcrowded the entire time we were there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were a party of five but I will review the dishes that I ordered. We were told that they have French onion soup as a special that day. It's been such a cold winter that any soup sounded wonderful. For the entrees, we got chicken parm and shrimp and scallops with spinach. Unfortunately, our meals took over 30 minutes to arrive. I thought the soup would at least come sooner but it appeared only a few minutes before all of our entrees. It was still satisfying in a thin broth with lots of onions. It's always fun dangling the stringy cheese. I very much enjoyed the shrimp and scallops with spinach. It had a nice presentation and creamy sauce. The dish was warm but not hot so it was sitting for a while before being brought to the table. The other dish was the chicken parm and it was cold. We did not return it because we did not want any food wasted. Another friend did inform the restaurant that her side item was cold and they immediately brought more. Before leaving, someone in our party ordered additional items to go but there was a mistake in the order and it had to be prepared again. Though I think the servers were friendly, the restaurant missed the mark on the timeliness of our meals and the accuracy of the to-go order. Since our meals were brought to us so late, I think a quick check in from the server would have been nice or more bread or something as a kind gesture for the wait. I would really like to give this place another try. The location, atmosphere, and offerings in the menu beckons a revisit. And everyone deserves a second chance. Popping into a local favorite restaurant. Today I enjoyed the cajun chicken tortellini pasta in Alfredo sauce with A Southern Connecticut drink. It was my first time eating tortellini. Pasta was cooked well. Alfredo sauce was filling but need some sale and pepper. I would have liked more of the cajun or blackened spices to come out flavor wise in the dish but overall, it was a great dish. The Southern connection is great drink for the spring and to open your pallet. It was lite, but not to fancy, but ended with a taste of Southern charm. Service is always fantastic. Introduction to Galiano on the January 2024 visit: I'm starting a photo series each month of 2024. Galliano is representing January 2024. There's a 1-star I've been dreading to write for a while that can represent April. But to get back to the positive topic of Galiano, I first tried this on Sunday, January 21 with a large Meetup group for dinner. After a crappy weekend where my car battery died on that Saturday, the coldest day of the Winter, derailed my Saturday late afternoon/evening and dealt with getting the new battery at place open on Sunday, which was like $400. That Sunday afternoon I somewhat redeemed the weekend with a movie, then dinner still on this bitterly cold night, then leaving dinner a bit early from the Meetup for another movie on my AMC A-List. Food & Experience in January: There are a few parallel parking spots in front, but the parking in the back is still close. The organizer of the Meetup recommended the crab bisque, Italian medley soup, & the eggplant parmesan as did a couple of others from the group, who had been there. The eggplant parmesan is awesome here! The Italian medley soup is solid too, but not quite as high of enthusiasm but very good. It has beef balls and little pasta pieces. The ambiance is nice table cloth with large windows and comfortable cool lighting. The server was cordial, but I remember he got a couple of people's orders mixed like who had what exactly. No major issue though, and it was a large group so could get confusing. Subsequent visits: I loved the eggplant parmesan so much that I wanted to revisit possibly for other items. I visited again in March, May, & June with my girlfriend with the catalyst as the Meetup. In March my girlfriend was relatively new at that point (I was still single on that January 21 visit). I told her about this Meetup & how great the food particularly the eggplant was. Unfortunately, the organizer of the Meetup had Covid, so we got a different organizer. So, she didn't get to meet him in early March but late March elsewhere instead. In March, we both got the crab bisque, I got a wine, she got a beer, and she got the eggplant I highly recommended, and I wanted to try something different...So, I got the chicken marsala. The Crab bisque was excellent too. Honestly, I was pretty underwhelmed by chicken marsala though. We each tried each others' food and both agreed the eggplant was far superior. On the subsequent visits in May & June, we stuck with the eggplant parmesan since we know that's delicious. Other interesting note in June was the two people we were sitting directly across from, two people who hadn't met each other, both got salmon. Neither of them raved about the salmon saying it was ok. But I'm thinking salmon is weird choice for an Italian restaurant. Summary: Eggplant parmesan & crab bisque are the best two things to get. After having the chicken marsala, I'm a bit nervous to NOT get the eggplant parmesan as I feel like I'll be at least a little disappointed. Overall, Galiano has left a positive impression for service, ambiance, & food, but there's a couple areas where it fell a little short too. read more

My pappardelle was overcooked and excessively saucey. My jalapeño margarita was very much lacking in alcohol and the only thing spicy about it was a sliver end of a jalapeño they put on a skewer. I didn't step foot inside because we ate outside, but it looked spacious and there was a steady stream of people here during dinner. I tried out Galliano shortly after they opened and was underwhelmed. I had avoided going back until our friends insisted on going. Let's just say first impressions can sometimes be deceiving. We had a wonderful dining experience. The food was outstanding from traditional Italian dishes like lasagna and baked ziti to the seafood cioppino. A solid selection of appetizers and a desserts. The food was good. I ordered Eggplant Parmigiana for my entree. We also had the Brussels Sprouts appetizer. The Brussels Sprouts were just okay for me. I would have preferred a little more caramelization and balsamic vinegar and less goat cheese. Without that kick from the vinegar against the creamy cheese, the cheese overwhelmed the dish flavorwise. It's a preference thing. Prior to the meal, the waiter brought some bread and herbed dipping oil to the table. The bread was not warm, but the bread with the dipping oil made up for the lack of warmth. The EP was delicious. The eggplant was cooked perfectly and the overall dish topped with tomato sauce and cheese made for a delightful main course. The EP featured a side of spaghetti that was also quite tasty. The portions were amazing. I did not each much because it was so late, but I was able to eat leftovers for two more days. The flavor actually got better with time. The ambiance was nice. I would have preferred not to sit in the middle of the restaurant, but it was okay. The table had already been reserved and the restaurant appeared to be filled to capacity. The lighting was nicely dimmed, but bright enough to see your food. Surprisingly, the noise level was pretty loud, but I guess that was to be expected with a full house. The service was fine. We were seated right away. The waiter was attentive refilling our glasses as needed and our food was served within a good amount of time considering the crowd. I've recently been exploring spots out in the Maple Lawn area. Galliano was my second spot trying. Didn't go in with high expectations based on some of the reviews. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Nice and spacious, outdoor seating options, and overall good vibe. I grabbed a seat at the bar and was quickly greeted by Rose. She made me their traditional cosmo, which was perfect! All was great until the food came out. I ordered the shrimp arugula off their starters menu. All that could go wrong with this dish did. It was salty and the shrimp had some sort of coating on them that turned soggy in all the sauce. Then you have beans, arugula, and tomatoes all swinging in this sauce. It just didn't work for me. I love all those ingredients, but they did not come together well for this dish. They have some cool drink specials throughout the week, so I may try grabbing drinks and a pizza next time. First time at Galliano at the Fulton location and I think I would prefer the Waugh Chapel location over this one. The ambiance of the space is pretty small the bar area is very chic and friendly but when you approach the extra dining tables it's more family oriented. Service at first was a bit weird as our waiter seemed. Bit overwhelmed with our large party of 13 but once he got accustomed, he ended up doing a pretty good job and he was very friendly as well. My food was pretty good, I ordered the Mediterraneo which had fresh seafood of scallops shrimps and clams too. I really enjoyed my business dinner at Galliano. Good food, great drinks, and good service. I was here on a weekday evening and I like that they do not rush us to leave, a few of us were hanging out for a long while before finally leaving for the night. My seafood risotto was cooked perfectly, tender pieces of shrimp and al dente rice, exactly what I wanted. I tried one of their cocktails and had shared some wine my colleagues ordered, everything was meeting my expectations. We ordered a bunch of appetizers for sharing, my favorite was the octopus, perfectly tender pieces grilled just right. The brussel sprouts were very good, a little more charred than my preference but I know this is how most people like it (I just happen to different). I think this place could be a cute place for couples going on a date, family gatherings, or business events. I will definitely come back. read more

7.6.23 Ambience -Posh, upscale, and elegant decor. There was also a lovely mural of a woman and her pasta. There was a talented violinist who played contemporary music in the corner. Apparently she liked Camilla Cabello as she played Senorita and Havana. Food -Complimentary bread and oil - Liked the oil and bread tasted fresh. Glad we were only given a few slices so we didn't overeat. -Chicken Marsala (my entree) - Average to me. I've had better. I liked the sauteed onion and mushroom more than the mushroom and pasta. -Margherita Pizza (hubby's) - I loved his entree and so did he. Pizza was crispy and flavor was good with ricotta cheese which was different. -Affogato (mine) - I selected vanilla gelato to go with the espresso. It was delicious! Service -Our server was friendly and helpful. She gave me her recommendation and came around to check on us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was about 95 degrees outside and about 88 degrees inside the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One of our group asked the hostess about it and she initially said only the 'owner' could turn the temp down (note that the location is in the first floor of an office building). Our friend asked to speak with the manager and was told he was in the bathroom. Our friend asked that she send the manager over when he came out. Fast forward, no manager ever came over after repeated requests. We ate as fast as we could to get out of there, it was so hot. Upon leaving, we stopped at the hostess stand to ask about the manager and she just said there was nothing he could do about it, it's controlled by the building. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Therefore, our advice to anyone who decides to eat here - only go on a perfect day, not too hot or too cold out, because if they can't control their own temperature, something is seriously wrong.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We honestly all left there drenched in sweat - a miserable experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would love to hear what management actually has to say about this! read more

I've been back several times now, and they've definitely gotten better. The drinks have been consistent, service is mostly pretty good unless it's extremely busy, and the food is exactly what you'd expect but has been good. They have also been really good about noticing and fixing errors with the orders. Recently, they overcooked our caulflower crust pizza to a burnt crisp, but the server immediately noticed as they were bringing the food to us, and took it back to the kitchen to be remade. They seem to have gotten much better with their management. When I got carry out in the past they would often make mistakes on my orders, but now they will check your order in front of you everytime before handing it off to you. While their food is still more or less mediocre, they have vastly improved their customer service and in-house processes . read more

We had a reservation and we're seated immediately. Our server Todd it came right over took care of all our needs. He was very attentive throughout the night appetizers and dinner were very good. We all have the half Greek salad which was excellent. Serving sizes were very large. Ricotta cake was delicious. My husband got a blackened chicken over linguine and marinara. It seemed they went super heavy on the blackening seasoning to mask the mediocre store-bought pasta sauce. I got blackened sea bass which was fine. It came with an exotic sounding shaved carrot salad and vegetable risotto. The salad was a basic greens salad with carrots - fine, but I was expecting something more intriguing given the name and the price of the dish. The risotto was down right impalatable! It was made with a medly of frozen peas, carrots, string beans and corn. Again, considering the plate was $30.00 - you'd think it would have fresh vegetables and some herbs.
