I've ordered carry out from Trattoria E Pizzeria many times now. We mostly order the pizza and cheesesteak sub. I have no issues with the sub. I've always found it delicious. I have read that place is close to NYC pizza. Living in NYC for twelve years, I was super excited to try their pizza. Unfortunately, it is not like NYC pizza, maybe NY style. The crust isn't as crispy as a NYC slice. The pizza is a hit or miss. One time, our pizza was cold and called to complain. They graciously offered a free pie to make up the one that we didn't like. I haven't eaten inside this place but it is very cute and casual for date night with a glass of wine. They do have wine by the bottle if you want to buy one. I ordered a plain cheese, Sicilian pizza. The crust was not soggy at all, and was crunchy and the tomato sauce was very good while it was the Sicilian pizza crust was not quite as thick as what you would get farther up north, but this is a Pizza I would definitely recommend if you are in the area, it was the only thing I tried, but several people were eating different items when I picked up my pizza and they all looked very good read more

We got pasta dinners from here last night and they were pretty impressive! We are a bit of pasta snobs, and I really enjoyed their alfredo. It was creamy and cheesy with plenty of flavor. Some of the broccoli was a little mushy and overcooked, but overall I was happy. The chicken parm was huge and cooked really well. Their red sauce has a slight sweet flavor that we weren't huge fans of, but the meal was still delicious. The garlic knots were a nice appetizer to start as well! I'm sorry to that the last pie I got yesterday was a complete disappointment. It was the most salty pizza I've ever had. The tomato sauce was just about nonexistent and no tomato flavor came through at all. It was basically subpar cheese melted over unremarkable crust. The "NY" style dough was not even close to being that. Instead of a thin crust with a nice char, the crust was doughy, flavorless and sloppy. The pie was basically inedible. I've had good pizza here before so I don't know if this bad pie was a one-off. Nevertheless, I won't be making a special trip to get a pizza from here again. For years this was the closest thing to New York pizza that you could find in Howard County. Even the feel of the eat in experience was same as a street corner Bronx pizzeria. I used to tell the owner exactly that. This was always the place to go for a slice or a whole pie. The last 2 or 3 times ordering a pie for pickup my wife and I noticed a difference in quality. I also had noticed that the owner I had come to know didn't seem to be there. Last week my son and his wife were in town and they wanted to return for some slices as they had done a year earlier. It took one bite for each of us to come to the same conclusion. Although we had slices from 2 different pies they were both terrible. As my son said, how is it possible to have an overly done burnt pizza edge yet the rest of the pizza is soggy? I can't answer that question, but there was also the scantest amount of cheese and really no noticeable tomato taste. I'm not certain if there is a new owner but the recent quality had tumbled in my opinion. I also noticed that it was like a ghost town in the dining area, which was unlike what we typically would experience on a Saturday at lunchtime. However, this restaurant has earned a low rating because they do not greet their customers properly, do not show a professional level of courtesy when they attempt to communicate, and overall do not have a cordial telephone manner as well. The pizza has a nice crispy crust but it's still a pretty thick doughy pie. We tried the NY style cheese pizza- you can just tell from the pictures that it's an ordinary pizza pie from a local pizza joint. This place doesn't have a coal-fire Neopolitan oven or anything like that that would make the pizza so good. I was craving a cheesesteak sub while at work and this was the closest option. Like most places they are doing takeout only due to the Covid -19. Easy to get to and there is plenty of parking in two lots that are connected to the shopping center. I called in and ordered my cheesesteak with a side of fries. They said give them 10-15 minutes. After about 15 I arrived and they had everything ready. It's was nice and hot. The cheesesteak had a pretty good flavor. It was everything I expected. They prices are about what you would expect 7 for the sub that was about 8 inches long. Plenty of meat inside so I didn't feel cheated. Fries were so so. I prefer smaller crispy fries and there were softer and larger. Over all a solid 4 star place. I will definitely order from here again while I am at work. Wednesday is our meeting day so it means staying around the office for our 2 PM meeting, and it happened to be very slow for me today (not a good combination)...so I have some time to write this. I looked it up on the map and realized it wasn't that far from the office. I discovered in this Kings Contrivance Shopping Center was this restaurant, Subway, & several others. So off on my trek to boldly go where I've never gone before, and I discovered that I didn't see this. So, I parked near Subway thinking that it may have been behind, which was correct. I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was a small outdoor mall with outside seating. I asked a few questions about the salads, including which one had the most black olives, and he stated that they all came with the same amount. I decided to go with the garden salad, which was the least expense at $5. I figured it was less of a risk at $5 if I was disappointed. I asked for extra black olives, and he didn't nickel and dime by charging extra. I don't like businesses that nickel and dime for extras. The salad was good, and there was definitely a generous amount of black olives, which I appreciated. I would come back here and try the pizza sometime, which looked tasty. They do have a pizza slice, salad, & drink for $6.99 at lunch time 11-3...something to consider for the future. read more
