Vera Pizza Napoletana

Abby, was so nice. She helped me change a topping. I didn't want tomatoes and I added red onions and she didn't add an eye about me being a little difficult. I tend to not be an nag when it comes to things like toppings, but I just wanted to get the onions today. The food was fresh and tasty. It came out fast. The atmosphere was nice there was an outdoor seating area with tables and the connected to an open air bar. Kitchen staff was friendly. Speaking Spanish is helpful if you want to converse with them. The rest of the staff spoke English and was pleasant to deal with. I would definitely recommend this location. I will also be trying their other locations in Northern Virginia.

They did it again. This pizza is unbelievable. There's just no other place like it with the perfect chew to the dough, light enough that I don't feel gross eating the entire pizza, and toppings that all go together unexpectedly. There's ragu pizza blew my mind tonight. This is not typical Pizza Hut/american style pizza. This is true Italian with the VPN certification. It 100% lives up to the honor of that certification. I also had the mozzarella balls tonight and they were so good my son secretly ordered a second order of them! He chanted the whole dinner that this is the best pizza and we should come here all the time, not just sometimes.

Sausage & Sausage and Onion Chorizo Arugula with Parmesan

Great Happy Hour deal ! We got to try the Pizza flight which is choice of three small pizzas. We got 2 orders of those . Our favorites were the Chorizo & Sausage with Onions. Both delicious and obviously the ingredients were fresh and full of flavor. The rest of our pizzas were good but nothing outstanding. All the pizzas came out looking great but we were a bit disappointed with the crust. It just didn't quite meet our expectations of a classic Neapolitan . Maybe on a regular sized pizza...‍ Seevice was efficient & attentive and everyone was nice & friendly The dining area was comfy and bright and gives off an atmosphere of pleasant and relaxed dining experience. We might go back for the Arancinis and maybe try their Capricciosa pizza ..maybe

Our second time. The first time dough was mushy. Rather than this is Good. So wanted to give second chance. And we Said about dough and we aşk for more crispy dough. Yes it was definitely better. Appetizers was pretty good. Ice cream was veeery good. I am glad we came back!!!

I visited Pupatella because The Baltimore Banner reported it was one of the only restaurants in Maryland with a seal of approval from the Associazione Verace Pizza napoletana (The True Neapolitan Pizza Association). After two orders, I feel torn. My first time, I ordered a plain margherita pizza. The second time (about two weeks later): a margherita with fresh mozzerella, ricotta, and sausage. Both orders were pickup orders; The food was ready promptly with minimal [though polite] interaction from staff. As for the food itself, the cheese tasted like water--No flavor. My first time, although I was underwhelmed by the cheese, the quality of the dough was enough for me to go back again. I doubled the cheese on my second order, and still found it flavorless. Even worse: I found the dough had an extremely sour and unpleasant flavor. Still, the restaurant is well loved, so I am willing to try Pupatella again (perhaps something other than pizza). Regarding decor: the restaurant gets lots of natural light and has the feel of a sit down family restaurant.

Decided to swing by Pupatella for a late lunch with my boyfriend yesterday. They have a nice lunch special that goes on between 11 AM - 3 pm where you can get a side salad and 9 inch pizza for around $12. I ended up getting the sausage and onions (it was average). My boyfriend got the caivano (which I recommend for meat lovers). Service was really good, our waitress was Rachel and she was very sweet and attentive. The restaurant was really empty though. There was maybe one other table in the dining area beside my boyfriend and I so it was a bit awkward. The music also stopped working for some odd reason. Otherwise, it's not a bad place to swing by for some good pizza.

Buffala Bianca

I ordered a pizza on line for pickup. I chose the Buffala Bianca which includes an italian cream sauce, buffalo mozzarella, basil, and prosciutto di Parma. There's plenty of parking and there seemed to be a full house on a Friday night. The Buffala Bianca was not very pretty but very tasty and the prosciutto nice and salty. Definitely a must get!

Fiancé and I are always looking for a good pizza place and this is it!! Starting off the dough is perfection (at least for me). It's soft and chewy, had great burnt parts from the stove oven, and held up to the weight of the toppings. He, being a meat lover, for the caviano. It was yummy! Meat was greasy and flavorful and packed on the pizza. I had the mushroom and added some bacon. The mushrooms themselves weren't the highest quality - it felt just like button mushroom. I feel like it would've been better with porcini mushrooms, but the combination of brie and bacon was perfect. A little bit of funk, creaminess, and salt. I would say skip the arancini, they were a bit underwhelming. The place was pretty quiet when we came on a Saturday at 8pm. I didn't mind it as I like quiet. All the waitresses/waiters seem to be young students and they were all pleasant and getting the job done.

I loved the burrata here but my kids didn't love the pizza. We ordered takeout so next time we would like to try sitting in and seeing if we have a better experience. It is very cute decor inside and the service was fast and easy. There is ample parking and it is kid friendly. We can't wait to come back and try some of the pasta dishes too!

Bruschetta

My Wife and I went here because we saw it reviewed on reels. It looked really good. We sat outside since it was a nice evening and that was great. Our waitress seemed like she really didn't want to be at work anymore. Maybe she was tired but just wasn't warm and fuzzy. We ordered the bruschetta which looked great when it came out but lacked flavor. The presentation was nice but the tomatoes had no taste. Definitely needed some seasoning. They tasted fresh but bland. We built our own Nepotalitan pizza with regular sauce, fresh mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni and red onions. We wanted to add Spinach but they only allow 4 toppings (cheese counts as a topping) because the crust is so thin. When the pizza came out it looked great. 4 pretty good sized slices. The beef pepperoni was cooked well, the sausage and mozzarella had a good flavor. I liked the crust my Wife didn't too much but the biggest issue is the middle of the pizza dough didn't cook all the way through and it was still raw. Because we both started eating it from the crust inward (you couldn't really NY pizza slice this thing) we didn't find out until you got to the end. This happened to us both on our second slice. There were some bright spots but overall a lackluster experience for us. We had high hopes that we found another pizza spot, but alas that is not the case Try it for yourself you may like it, just not our cup of tea.

Veggie panini
Annie L.

We stopped in for a casual Friday date night--it was popping! Service was perfectly fine but not at that above and beyond level. Given the dinner rush, we had a bit of uneven timing with my veggie panini arriving 20min before my husband's pizza. As craft beer nerds, the beer selection was pretty lackluster. Let's be honest though, you're coming here for the food not the beer. The beverage menu include a solid variety for every diner. The veggie panini was fresh, flavorful and filling. The bread has just the right chew to crunch ratio and isn't so thick so as to overpower the filling. The smoked mozzarella elevates each veggie filled bite, adding complexity without dominating. The BYO pizza got top marks despite arriving with only one of the two requested cheeses. Having only recently opened, there are a few kinks to work out, but overall a great addition to the neighborhood and will definitely be back!

Randomy googled this place and went to check it out on a Fri. Night... They were busy but I was able to get a table in no time. Service was great. Appetizers Sampler was ...eh...will skip next time Pizza was good...its a good pizza..def in the TOP5 in the HOCo area. Drinks were good Will come back.

I love that they bother to stack the store filled with various treats and specialty items that you don't often see elsewhere, as you would expect in a deli. It's cute, it's cosy, it's fun, and the food has always been rather good. Not Italian Market good, not Canal Street good, but Howard County good. It is not a full service restaurant - it's counter order. They seem to have become extremely popular for phone and 3rd party delivery orders. Other reviews mention learning of them on social media - and it seems they have been collaborating with local "influencers" for mentions. Do I think the world need "influencers" ? No, I do not, but it seems to be working for Eataliano but they unfortunately don't seem to know how to manage the volume they have created. Today I went with my entire family who just wanted some pickup food to eat while we drove around in the rain. They are sooooo slow to decide, and I am not plus I was starving so I hopped in an put in my solo order for a cheesesteak while the rest talked in the van figuring out what they wanted. That one cheesesteak too over a half hour. A HALF HOUR with me standing their waiting. It seems like they were firing phone orders before the orders of people in the store, and I watched multiple customers walk upon learning the wait time. Noone in the shop was moving with any sense of urgency and seemed completely unbothered by the wait times - one homie literally went out front to water flowers lol. By the time the rest of my family had their orders ready to place, we had already decided we weren't going to order them there. It was awkward, but I took my one single cheesesteak back into the van and we drove to Waterloos for the other 3. Waterloos had them ready in 8 minutes. To top that off, my sub wasn't wrapped properly and one half of the steak was upside down in the paper making a terrible mess, and there weren't even any napkins in the bag. They have their point of sale guilt-tip machine defaulting to 25%, with literally no wait staff. I've never more in my life wanted my tip money back, and my view of Eataliano has been forever diminished. It will probably be quite a while before I go back quite frankly. If you're going to have the bollocks to request tips for counter service, and 25% tips at that, you had better deliver exceptional service and Eataliano absolutely did not. I

We made a last-minute decision to try for some of the nightly jazz (except Monday) at 18th & 21st on a Friday evening (Oct 2025), hip-ly named for the prohibition amendment and repeal :-) There's a free parking garage right across from the entrance of the building they share with a sister restaurant, Cured. We arrived in the bright seasonally-decorated welcoming lobby about 7:50pm. We ought to have made reservations, but in under 10min, the reception staff took us to the more intimate room towards the back where we were seated at at the bar, which is really what we wanted. When we arrived, the 6pm jazz band had just gone on break, so we felt free to chat with friendly regulars and with the bar staff. They have a changing list of ten craft beers from $6 to $21, plus one $6 non-alcoholic brew. Five of the $14-$35 per-glass vintage wines from their list of 17 are preserved with the "corovin" system that keeps air out, so they are never "corked". We focussed on their list of 11 crafted $13-$22 cocktails plus 5 non-alcoholic ones, all made with quality ingredients, each naming the staff member(s) (and guests) who formulated the recipe! We found Alex's $16 Fernetinez sublimely sweet: of bitter fernet amaro, Frederick-based locally-sourced award-winning McClintock One Last Time gin (exclusive for 18th&21st), smooth Luxardo liqueur, and a sweet vermouth. We loved the aroma and flavor of the classic Smoked Old Fashioned of bourbon from Kentucky's 10th-oldest distillery, Green River, moved to a mild well-rounded sweetness by brown sugar simple syrup, smoked in front of me by Mike (if i remember), with added richness from smoky bitters. They have a creative menu of $30 to $65 entrees, plus salads, small plates, apps, and sides, and they have a changing menu of small plates. We really hadn't planned on eating, but we couldn't resist. The $17 duck bao buns had thin tender filets with a sweet lightly-salty apricot-soy glaze and a tangy crunchy pickled cucumber slaw on a soft folded yeasted slightly-sweet white-flour bun. The $12 pair of fried fresh-tasting oysters were sweet and juicy with a light-flavored crunchy crust. They were so yummy, and easy to enjoy with our cocktails. Rodney Kelly's jazz band was excellent, playing with spirit, joking with each other and the audience, even staging a song or two with a skilled member of the restaurant staff. Afterwards we had brief moments with some of the band members, like an intimate jazz club. Later in the evening, i also had a Turkish Sunset, a Manhattan-variation created in a collaboration among the staff and a guest (Well-done Ozzie!). I love Elijah Craig, and wanted to try their dry toasted rye, with housemade allspice dram syrup, Small Hands grenadine, and bitters. By now, i felt very much at home with the staff, and when i learned that one of them had helped formulate this beverage, i confided that its amazing complexity was, for me, just a touch too dry. Alex (if i remember) considered the ingredients and the target flavors, and added just a touch of a sweet lemony liqueur, perfectly complimenting the recipe's flavors! Real-time crafting goes above and beyond, Thank you! (And when they next update the menu, maybe they'll have a custom option named for me :-)

It's a pretty big place with a bar and booths on the left, and another area of booths on the right. We were greeted and seated quickly by the hosts, and as we asked, we landed near the performer in the area to the right. The place was busy around 6pm, and friendly server quickly got menus for us, and within a few minutes, we had our drinks: a lovely $13 Maple Walnut Old Fashioned, fiery intense Makers Mark sweetened a little by maple syrup and focussed with walnut bitters. And a bright $13 Pom Pom Fizz, earthy gin with pomegranate juice, prosecco, and i think some lime juice. Both were well crafted , balanced, and refreshing. They started us with a sliced long narrow loaf of hot filone bread, with one of our Italian favorites, warm pinzimonio dipping oil: fresh aromatic olive oil with a pinch of mixed rich parmesan crumbles, zingy red-pepper flakes, and savory green herbs. It is tempting to make our whole meal of this! We had the $19 salmon & spinach in oil & garlic, from Tino's "lighter fare" menu. This was a huge filet, tender inside with a lovely deep crosshatch char on the surface. Quite perfect! And we asked for a customized $14 sandwich: Tino's offers a steak & cheese on chewy crusty hoagie roll, and we asked for added sautéed green peppers, with the generous cheese, sliced red onion and tomato, and lettuce on the side. The generous thin-sliced beef was tender and sweet cooked just right. The tasty lightly-seasoned fries were piping hot, and soft inside. We were perfectly satisfied with our light meal, and we managed to take a good amount home for later. The skilled musician, Bruce Casteel, played 5 to 7pm, a warm selection of familiar acoustic jazz, easy and fun to listen to. We'll return both for this musician and for the wide menu of flavorful food. You drive into the strip mall on Centre Park Dr just north of Old Annapolis Rd (MD-108), then turn left like you are going to the convenience store and keep driving around to the ample parking lot for Tino's. I'm not gonna lie, despite following the GPS, it was tricky for me to find where the restaurant was actually located. The GPS led me through the back way, so there were unmarked roads and no signage identifying Salt & Vine from the back. The easiest way to find the big white house of the restaurant is off of Olney Sandy Spring Road. There's a few parking spots available in the front and additional parking in the back. We had a private room upstairs, almost in a nook. The room was a little dingy and was a bit dated - the mirrors were tarnished and could've used some Windex - but the dining room table was set and it gave us the intimate ambiance that we were looking for. Service was excellent! Five stars for service! Ty was our primary server. He checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything, checked to see how the food was, and still gave us the space to enjoy our private lunch together. Any time a new guest arrived, Ty promptly greeted the newcomer and was ready to get them a drink. When the guest of honor arrived, he gave his congratulatory wishes and really set the tone for a wonderful luncheon at Salt & Vine. Service was super accommodating and pacing between the dishes was done really well. We never felt rushed and also never felt like we were sitting around wondering when the next dish would come. All the dishes served had the necessary serving utensils for family-style. Service was upscale in the sense that they changed out plates and silverware in between courses. Service was also super seamless - another staff member was there to assist to clear plates, bring out food and dishes, and do drink refills - and everyone did their job efficiently and effectively. Leftovers were also packed up by the staff and neatly packaged to take home. We had a family-style meal consisting of the arancini, grandma's meatballs, house salad, wood-oven roasted oysters, fusilli bolognese, artichoke and crab frittata, fresh berries and whipped cream, and cannolis. Each dish had beautiful presentation. The standout dish (and rightfully so) was the fusilli bolognese, which Ty said was by far the most popular dish on the menu. The fusilli bolognese was delicious! The fusilli bolognese was perfectly balanced between the meat, creamy tomato sauce, and cheese. I don't like pasta that's swimming in sauce or that has chunks of meat that's dry or rolls right out of the sauce - this fusilli bolognese does everything right and I'm here for it. The arancini was light and super cheesy on the inside. It's almost like a fried mozzarella ball. The meatball was served with a lovely dollop of herbed ricotta. Both the arancini and meatball were served in a tasty marina sauce and I would say they were good serving sizings for the starters. The house salad was fresh and nicely dressed, but pretty basic - some mixed greens, little tomatoes, pickled red onions, and croutons, plus a balsamic dressing. The artichoke and crab frittata was topped with mixed greens that almost felt like another salad. Everything was portioned out already, making it easy to serve and share the meal together. I do like a little more stuff in my frittata (peppers, onions, cheese, etc. aka the works), but I did appreciate that you can taste the crab and artichokes in the dish. For dessert, we had the fresh berries with whipped cream and a platter of cannolis. We loved the berries and whipped cream - so fresh and lightly sweet and airy. You get a two-for-one with the cannolis - you get chocolate chips on one side and pistachios on the other end - it's the best of both worlds! These were classic cannolis done really well. I highly recommend Salt & Vine for any event you may have. They hosted our luncheon expertly. And the fusilli bolognese- get it!

I really enjoyed this place, the ambiance is EVERYTHING!!!! The service is EVERYTHING!!!! And the food and drinks were immaculate... Last but not least I can't forget the restroom. When I tell you this place has the best restroom I've ever been in at an establishment --I mean it. This place is top notch and I definitely will return. I didn't try any pizza on during my visit but I will on my next visit. This place is a 5 start restaurant all day long....

My family and I were looking for a new Italian restaurant today. Somewhere near home, so we came to…read morethis location for dinner. Loved the decor and ambience ... from the fireplace, to the pizza oven in the middle of the restaurant, to the bar area with the televisions. Parking was also easy even on a Saturday. My daughter and I split a Romana salad; it's kind of like a Caesar salad. Good but had to ask for more dressing. I ordered the spaghetti Amatriciana, daughter got the chicken Limone, husband got Ravioli D'Aragosta. My spaghetti wasn't spicy at all (as was assumed since it had spicy Calabrian chilis), the burrata ball was huge and at first I didn't get it because it was cold while the rest of the dish was warm. Well when you mix it in the dish it was very good. I added some salt but after that it all came together. The other two dishes were also enjoyed at the table. Portions were generous, we had leftovers and the service was pretty good too. Would definitely come back!

They were definitely very busy but our server was still attentive and friendly. My friend ordered a flight of wine and I ordered a glass of the Poggio Le Volpe, 'Roma Rosso'. The wine, as always was delicious. My friend ordered the IBWC Fall Burger and I ordered the Grilled Bistro Steak Frites. The Steak was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. We had also ordered side Caesar salads. It was restaurant week and neither of us opted into the the 3 courses for a price option but our server did kindly inform us that she grouped it that way to help us save and include the dessert. We ended up getting the Nutella dessert (I don't recall what it was called). While the presentation wasn't great, it was very good and I would recommend it. Wish I liced closer so I could come here more often but it is one of my favorites in the area.

Caesar salad honestly Tasted like a salad you would get from a salad bar- 1/5. I expected the dressing to be an authentic Caesar dressing but it was watery and thin. Ribeye used to be less tough. It was okay. The sauce and potatoes were good though! Wine excellent as per usual. This place used to be amazing all around but honestly, tonight was just slightly above average esp for the price point. Maybe we'll try a weekend and the food might better?
