My understanding is that all of the baked goods are made from scratch fresh daily in the restaurant. So the breads are great. The various sandwiches and other lunchtime mains are fantastic. Service is great -- the staff is always polite and happy. Definitely not quiet but not loud at all. It is very small with limited and tight tables. Buddy and I sat outside today to eat, surprisingly. The presentation was beautiful--colorful, appealing, and the bread stayed firm and crusty. They truly use fresh, high-quality ingredients. Unfortunately, that has changed. Now, hot sandwiches are wrapped in paper and then in foil. This method traps moisture, causing the bread--especially their delicious sourdough--to become soggy instead of crisp. It seems like this change was made to save money, but it really takes away from both the presentation and the quality of the sandwich. For a sandwich that costs $12.95, I would gladly pay a few extra cents for the original packaging if it meant keeping the bread fresh and crusty.

That one cheesesteak too over a half hour. A HALF HOUR with me standing their waiting. It seems like they were firing phone orders before the orders of people in the store, and I watched multiple customers walk upon learning the wait time. Noone in the shop was moving with any sense of urgency and seemed completely unbothered by the wait times - one homie literally went out front to water flowers lol. By the time the rest of my family had their orders ready to place, we had already decided we weren't going to order them there. It was awkward, but I took my one single cheesesteak back into the van and we drove to Waterloos for the other 3. Waterloos had them ready in 8 minutes. To top that off, my sub wasn't wrapped properly and one half of the steak was upside down in the paper making a terrible mess, and there weren't even any napkins in the bag. They have their point of sale guilt-tip machine defaulting to 25%, with literally no wait staff. I've never more in my life wanted my tip money back, and my view of Eataliano has been forever diminished. It will probably be quite a while before I go back quite frankly. If you're going to have the bollocks to request tips for counter service, and 25% tips at that, you had better deliver exceptional service and Eataliano absolutely did not. I

He ordered a Club Wrap and added a small bag of chips and a soda. I selected the "Gracie" which is roast beef, salami, swiss cheese and mustard on rye (I asked for wheat bread). Billed as a carryout, this place does have an ample area if you choose to eat there (about 10 tables and four booths if I counted correctly). We ordered at the front counter and the very pleasant woman that took our order brought it to us even though I was trying to watch in order to retrieve it from the end of the counter. We both enjoyed our lunch, he had to bring back half of his wrap for dinner.....its a very hefty sandwich! Note that they are not open on Saturday or Sunday. But also note that we will be returning very soon! I hope to try their breakfast offerings next time.

They initially forgot to give me a cup for the drink I ordered, and then I discovered their soda fountain was out of Diet Pepsi syrup. Net is, avoid this Jersey Mike's location, or order at least 45 minutes ahead.
