UMBC STUDENTS!! If you've been ordering your pizza from Papa Johns this whole semester, then you messed up big time! You can't get better value than Mama Mia's. Chewy dough, stretchy cheesy, and fast delivery. What else can you ask for such a low price?! $9 for an XL pizza! - VVP

Half of the 8" Shrimp Parmesan sub and half of the 8" meatball marinara sub.

Store front doesn't look like much, but I was craving some good food late on a Saturday and I was not disappointed. I saw all the reviews about the pizza, but nothing for the other food, so I thought I'd do this. The subs were toasted nicely and had great flavor. The meatball and the fried shrimp were cooked perfectly and the potato wedges were on point as well. It hit the spot and helped to fulfill my appetite. My initial order got cancelled Bc there were no delivery drivers, but the gentleman in the store was respectful and hooked me up with a drink for my trouble. Come check it out.

Not crowded for a Saturday and seated right away. They were pretty busy at least for delivery that it took a bit for our order but maybe because we were busy chatting and reminiscing. Couple of us had mango lassi sparkler - we enjoyed it and one ordered a non-alcoholic mango lassi and ended up not enjoying it - too yogurty for her. For the appetizer: chicken momo (dumpling) and samosa. Not bad! Main meal, I had the mixed platter which was very plentiful and flavorful, butter chicken mild and medium spice for two of the gals, and finally shrimp curry medium for the 4th gal. We highly recommended the very garlicky naan . The only negative I would say is that they were going to charge for extra sauce for my mixed platter. Ambiance was ok but a tad dark.

It's not too far off the highway, so it was easy to get to. The inside was really dingey and rundown (but don't let this bother you, you're there for the food!) and there was a laminated menu on the counter to look at... The couple that runs it was there and the guy was friendly and helpful. I was in the mood for karahi, but I was by myself and typically restaurants make this for two people, so he suggested I get chicken curry. It took about 10 mins to make. First thing I did was taste the broth (the curry sauce) and it was spot on - AMAZING!!! Then I ripped into the naan and took to ripping chicken of the bone and enjoying... I scarfed that dish down in no time, and there was quite a bit there! The basmati that came with it was very tasty! And he brought me a ramakin of yogurt chutney (this is how chutney is supposed to be!) - it was fresh and soothed the spice of the dish. Regarding the spice level, he asked how I wanted it and I told him I was Pakistani to make it for me the same way he'd eat it and they got is right! Naan was excellent! Perfectly cooked, but the dough was great! Nice texture and flavor to it! Overall - I enjoyed my lunch and would come back! A friend and I were seated quickly, and provided menus. I knew I wanted mango lassi and ordered that. We decided to split beef samosas and garlic naan. I went with a veggie saag dish but asked for it extra spicy. The mango lassi was amazing, it was hard to stop myself from chugging it. The beef samosas were well made, perfectly flaky, however, I realized in that moment I prefer veggie samosas. The entrees arrived and my dish smelled amazing. I tried my best to spoon rice onto my plate, but the rice was oddly stacked high on a plate and would just tumble down like an avalanche. I prefer my rice in a bowl. So, my saag dish, while well prepared and was hot, was lacking flavor to me due to the spice used to provide the heat I wanted. And that's on me. I realized this meal that I should get maybe medium spice at most, then ask for whatever their version of "hots" is on the side. Overall, it was a very pleasant visit. Service was amazing. I just made bad choices, which is not Little India's fault.

We got the Kale Chaat, amazing, still talking about it. Crispy kale, yogurt w/ mint, sweet and savory and crispy. Omg, you gotta get it, I want it again already! For dinner I got the chicken dumplings (momo) and my husband got the tandoori chicken. It was actually too much food! The momo was delish but the tandoori chicken was the star entree for sure. It came with a side of masala sauce which was so tasty to dip in. Everything was actually pretty reasonably priced as well. My only complaint is that it was freezing inside - lots of guests wore their coats! They had a ton of to go orders ready - I'd definitely do that in the future, but it is nice inside! It had vodka, Prosecco, mango, and passionfruit puree. It had a nice balance of sweetness and tartness, though it was not particularly sparkling from the Prosecco. The paneer chili ($9) was decent but not quite what I expected. The paneer was tossed with garlic, tomato based sauce, peppers, and onions, but it was softer and less crispy than I was hoping for. The veg jhol momo ($18) was interesting.... The menu mentions a Szechuan pepper based soup, but I did not get any Szechuan pepper flavor at all. Instead, the broth had a creamy, almost tahini-like taste. The momos themselves were fine, but the broth was not what I was expecting. The mixed veg jalfrezi ($16) was okay. It had a good amount of mixed vegetables in a tomato based sauce with green chilies, ginger, and onions. We ordered it very spicy but it came out sweeter than I preferred. The Goan fish curry ($19) was excellent. The tilapia was tender and the tomato coconut curry was flavorful, rich, and comforting. It had a nice balance of spice and creaminess. The garlic naan ($4) was soft, fluffy, and had a good amount of garlic and herbs. The beers were good too. The Taj Mahal lager was light and easy to drink, while the Haywards 5000 had a stronger, maltier flavor. Overall, service was good. Our server, Aro, was attentive. They have an outdoor seating area. Ambiance was upscale without the prices. They are located by a parking garage but there is also street parking available as well.

Came in for lunch with my dad and we loved everything about it. The inside has a classy ambiance with plenty of tables and a full bar. We were the first customers, but the place filled up shortly after. I'm of European descent, but I take it as a good sign for a place like this when pretty much all the other clientele appeared to be South Asian. They started us off with a complimentary papadum basket with cilantro-mint chutney and tamarind sauces. Delightful. We ordered two appetizers: Vegetable pakora and chili pepper paneer. The vegetable pakora was interesting. I'm used to a mix of veggies fried in their own way, but these were fritters that seemed to be a mix of onion, potato, and I think zucchini. It worked, especially with the chutneys to top it off. The sizzling paneer was also great - nice and crispy crust with a perfect spicy glaze. I'd get either of these again. For the mains, we got Chicken Korma and Malai Kofta. When our waiter asked for our spice preference, we both said medium. I think medium was perfect, even though I'm used to a mild Malai Kofta. I think it was my father's upper spice limit, but he loved his Korma. Both sauces were easy to mop up with some butter naan. Even a simple cup of masala tea was memorable - perfect amount of spices and milk to mellow them out. Would drink this again. Our waiter was attentive but gave us space to enjoy the meal and each other's company without frequent interruption. According to our waiter, they have lunch buffets on the weekend only. He added that Sunday is the bigger day of the two. Maybe I'll come back one of those days to sample more of the variety of offerings. Wouldn't change a thing. Great experience. Definitely recommend.
