I was really excited to try this place because I love a good cold cut sub. I liked the idea of them using freshly shaved meats as opposed to the pre-packaged kind like Subway. I got the club sandwich which comes with turkey, ham, bacon, and provolone cheese which I switched out for American. They have all the fixings you could want and everything looked really fresh but I'm pretty simple when it comes to my cold cuts. I only put Mayo on it (don't judge me). My sandwich was pretty good. I would say the only thing I didn't like was that the meat was a little too salty for my liking, but that may not be a problem for other people. I have never had a problem with this store until now. I'm extremely disappointed and actually VERY irked with an employee of the Washington blvd store. I had placed an online order and paid online. When ordering, it did not give me the option to order the spicy dill pickle chips I like, or a regular bottle of Pepsi. So when I went in to pick up my order, I noticed they had both of those things in the store, despite the website not offering them as options. So I retrieved the chips and the bottle of Pepsi and went and stood inline. The lady in front of me was ordering a sub so she let me go in front of her to pay, which was very nice. I paid for my items, no issues. I had also ordered a fountain soda for my boyfriend with my online order, and as I'm going to fill the soda up, this employee walks up to the register and starts taking her gloves off and says, " I can help you check out right here" like totally loud and rude. Mind you, this is not the person that has been checking everyone out at the register. And after I looked at her, totally confused for a moment, I composed myself and said, "I've already paid...". And with that, she gave me a dirty look and very loudly and RUDELY stated, "GOOD!" I was totally taken aback and bewildered about why she had attacked me verbally like that. I had literally just walked away from the register after paying. The more I took in what had happened, the angrier I became. I had my sunglasses and hood on, it's raining right now and I have pink eye. I'm not sure why, but totally made me feel like she thought I was trying to steal something. And once I said I had paid, instead of saying okay or apologizing, they was she basically yelled GOOD and had an attitude about it, like I'm totally irritated. I did nothing to deserve to be treated like that. I get that working in customer service and the food industry isn't a walk in the park, but that lady needs to seriously re-evaluate the way she talks to people. Her tone was very accusatory and I did nothing to make her think I was stealing or doing anything wrong. How absolutely rude. We've been meaning to try this place since it opened, and finally did this past weekend. First, an aside: you can get a sub at three places in this one small strip center: Jersey Mike's, Boardwalk Fries and Burgers and Three Brothers. Boardwalk also has burgers, French fries and milkshakes; Three Brothers also has pizza and casual Italian fare. Some enterprising soul should do a taste-off of all three places. Anyway, Jersey Mike's was fresh (tomatoes in particular were nicely ripe), sub roll was excellent. Service was friendly. Like Subway, chips, desserts and drinks are about the only add-ons. Our cheesesteaks were juicy, tender and overstuffed; for $8.25 a decent deal. Menu is slightly confusing, and it isn't clear that, like Subway, you can customize to your heart's content. Staff was super friendly. Ordering is slightly difficult for those of us who are shorter than average: there's a plastic shield between the employees behind the counter and the customers. My 5'2" wife found herself talking to the plastic, with the employee asking her to repeat her order a couple of times because he couldn't hear her. I get the food safety thing, but it seems some re-engineering would help. In a perfect world we'd order subs at Jersey Mike's and fries and milkshakes at Boardwalk. read more

Their subs are really good and fresh. The only challenge is when you are in a hurry, no matter how early you call it is never ready when you walk in. I called for a sub, asked to be ready in 45 min. I went 50 min and they were just starting 2 of the 3 in the order and manually slicing the meat for each. Yes, freshly sliced is nice, but you had 45 min to slice it!! I want a quick pickup! For a fast food sandwich chain it's really good. We've ordered from here twice. I've had a cheesesteak and a club and both were good. The sandwiches are huge; you can easily have some leftover for lunch the next day. I haven't been inside since my husband picked up the food both times so I can't comment on the condition of the restaurant. Jersey Mike's is a standard sub place, although they put their own spin on it. Their menu is pretty confusing, but has the usual sandwich offerings. The most unique thing is that they offer all subs "Mike's Way" which includes lettuce, tomato and lots and lots of oil for some reason. I didn't notice a lot of other toppings offered, except for a selection of hot peppers. They offer three sizes of sandwiches, but don't show what those sizes are, and they have several bread options, none of which are on the menu board. But the place is clean and if you avoid the oil your sandwich shouldn't be too messy. read more

The subs was okay the ham was shredded and made me feel like I had to vomit. When I first went their they messed up my whole order on the receipt it said I had other things. I never told them any I just asked for single sub not a chipotle sub. The bread wasn't bad and the lettuce was good. read more

The one I actually bought my sandwich from was 5601 Eastern Avenue. Normally I go earlier, however this time I went a little later. My concern was they touch their nasty mask to much when making food. They come from the back and didn't wash their hands but put gloves on and start serving food. Please what is the purpose to put on gloves to touch a dirty machine and then touch someone's food. With the pandemic it is super important that everyone practice proper hygienic procedures when serving food. The mask need to be over your nose. In the future if I see those same people in there working, I will just leave and go somewhere else. It was totally unacceptable to see this type of work at any food facility. My sandwich was not like the many other sandwiches I have gotten from Jersey Mike's. :( read more
