Look, most of us who are old enough are intimately familiar with the T-800, the first Terminator sent back through time in an accompanying electrical storm to 1984 Los Angeles in the hopes of finding and eliminating Sarah Connor, before she gives birth to her son John, who is destined to successfully lead the human resistance against Skynet. But what if, as a precautionary move, the CEO of Skynet sent a copy of the chip into the future, safely hidden inside an unobtrusive, breakfast-entree-carrying robot named Sunny at the Denny's located on 314 Baltimore Blvd in Laurel, Maryland? Would we, out of hunger, slavishly obey the command couched as a request to "Please take your food?" Would we happily bite down on maple-syrup-stuffed donut holes, completely ignoring the tiny container of cream-cheese frosting because, in truth, the donut holes didn't require the extra sugar? Would we, in-between bites of our Grand Slamwich, served on two pieces of crispy, golden toast, pay any attention if Sunny had a "made by Skynet" digital message running alongside its circumference? Given how much we have enjoyed our meals on our first two visits, it is probably also just as well that we didn't (and won't) pay four quarters to activate one or both of the two claws in the gargantuan Denny's claw machine in the hopes of eventually winning something cuddly for the trip home! read more

Went to dennys to enjoy a meal and was sadly disappointed with the service that was given to me let her know that there was a uncooked and cold fry in my food as well the bacon was cold on my sandwich. My mom order a chicken bacon ranch sandwich and got no bacon or ranch on the sandwich. read more

The interior is a large, clean, and plenty of seating Dennys. Our server Mary was awesome sauce she was lovely and fun. After being in the crowds of Christmas shoppers this was a pick me up. Sunny the automated wait staff member was a wonderful touch. I have never been served my a robot. The food was actually really good! The Glamwich was right up my alley for a big breakfast day! Early morning, stop here to have breakfast. The service was excellent, friendly employee, and food was served fast and done as expected. The location had few customers and plenty of parking .The food was awesome really never been in Dennys before normally go to IHOP. This was a pleasant surprise and I would definitely return to this spot. The ambiance was really nice because it was early in the morning. Disappointing Visit - Laurel, MD Denny's (8/3/25) Went to Denny's in Laurel, MD on Sunday, August 3rd for brunch with my family after church. We were literally starving and looking forward to a good meal -- Denny's has always been one of my favorite spots for breakfast food. Unfortunately, this time was a major disappointment. When our food finally arrived, everything tasted like it had been pre-cooked and then reheated. It lacked flavor, freshness, and the quality we're used to from Denny's. Nothing tasted made-to-order, which was shocking. We were so hungry we just ate what we could, left the rest, paid, and left. This visit completely changed how I view this location. 3.6 My recent trip to Denny's on a Sunday early afternoon was pretty solid. Even though it was busy, we were seated right away. It took about ten minutes for a waiter to check on us, but once Jay took over our section, he was super attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The new spring and summer menu has a lot of new items, which was nice to see. For drinks, I went with the Mango Lemonade, which was incredibly refreshing and perfect for the warmer weather. My friend got the Hot Chocolate, which brought back those classic diner vibes. For food, I had the Stuffed Berry French Toast. It's definitely for those with a serious sweet tooth. At first, it was almost too sweet, but when I paired it with the salty and savory eggs, bacon, and sausage, it balanced out nicely. I also tried the Choconana Slam. It's a great option if you don't want something overly sweet. The pancakes with chocolate chips and bananas had that nostalgic flavor, and it came with the usual eggs, bacon, sausage, and hash browns. Overall, it was a good breakfast. The food tasted like it was put in freezer on a random Tuesday and just got reheated, food lacked flavor or freshness. Standard Denny's experience with one exception which I will explain. As we walked in, three employees greeted us and one led us to a nearby booth. She took our drink order and left menus. Drinks were served quickly and she took our order. I had the Super Bird sandwich with fries and he ordered the eggs with cheddar, breakfast meats and pancakes. We got everything we ordered but there seemed to be an issue with the kitchen and the server was trying to make up for it. First we got my sandwich and his pancakes. Later we got his eggs and meat. Lastly and after I had finished my sandwich, the fries arrived. At least we got all the items we ordered, while they were hot. read more

Be sure to stop by this neighborhood favorite. Business has started to kick back up. My second time since I've been going back in restaurants and they are all so very pleasant and helpful. They serve up breakfast with a smile, even behind the mask. Kudos to Denny's for these awesome well organized to go containers. They keep your food stable. I love this little robotic waiter that takes meals to the tables. I got a quick video as it was reporting back to the kitchen. See below. Update--- My queso sauce to my nachos slid right the nacho box. I tried my best to hold it but it wasn't in the bag. Food doesnt come out at once My wife, daughter and son came in for lunch (1pm) on a Sunday. We were seated right away. Our server was very nice and attentive. My daughter ordered a chicken and broccoli dish which came out fast but and looked good, I ordered The Country Fried Steak & Gravy, eggs over with hash browns well done, I got my steak but no gravy, was told the gravy is coming and my potatoes were not cooked well done. My wife ordered Sausage Gravey Biscuits and of course she recieved no gravy, my other daughter ordered a scramble with pancakes which the pancakes came 20 minutes after her scramble. The truth is, none over our meals came out together, there was a 10 to 15 minute spans between each of our meals being served so we never got to eat together as a family. We come here alot and it's always the same, this is one of the worst Dennys but it's the only one near by. read more

Many problems with deliveries from Dennny's at 1207 W. Patrick St, Frederick,Md 21701. On calling corporate office they said they would notify the store manager and it was up to him whether I got credit of meal or partial credit. I was told that is all they can do. I never got anything back from this Denny's. Corporate doesn't seem to do anything about problems. Denny's is off my list forever. WORST restaurant to deal with or get proper service and meals! read more

Been to this Denny's a couple of times. Once was in February 2017 for my free birthday grand slam. I went at lunchtime on that workday. The grand slam was excellent, and the server was friendly. I went again with 2 friends on a hot late morning in July 2017. One of the friends & I had free grand slams coupon from going to a Pittsburgh Pirates game Memorial Day weekend. They technically said that they were only good in the Pittsburgh area, but they were very nice to accept the coupons, but said it was a one-time exception. One friend was paying full-price plus I think we all got drinks; so I think they were making some money anyway. Montgomery Village Denny's (no longer in business [see the 3-star review I wrote of them]) didn't care when I used my other 2 right before expiration day on 2 consecutive weekends in late September 2017. Overall, the food is pretty good. The pancakes I think are better than IHOP, which is what they are known for. The service was always good. Nice servers & efficient. read more

My fiancée and I recently visited this Denny's after our last visit being almost a year ago; and it was like we never left. Our waitress Leilani instantly remembered us and gave us the best customer service, as she had before on our first visit. We enjoyed the food, but mostly her customer service. Warning: super long review. OMG, this Denny's is amazing! I've (literally) been to every Denny's in the DMV, so I have a basis for comparison. I called on Christmas night to see if they were open. Obvs, yes. It took me a while to find the order. The woman on the phone was patient and acted like I was one of two customers. She politely put me on hold to cash someone out then promptly came back to me...waiting for me to find what I wanted. When I got to the restaurant (around 9 pm or so), the parking lot was filled! Inside, there were tons of people (almost every table was full and several people were waiting for pick-up orders). The staff were friendly, pleasant, efficient, communicated with all customers, and my orders (which had different types of additions) was right! Someone bussed tables immediately after customers left and even the robot was busy dropping off food, but strangely not bumping into people in the crowded lobby. This was NOT like your usual Denny's! No one had an attitude, left you hanging then eventually came around to see what you wanted, ignored you, was condescending, or spoke to you like you were wasting their time...and this was on Christmas night when I'm sure those people wanted to be off work! I don't know where the manager got that team from or how they were so motivated to give such good customer service, but I was impressed and pleasantly surprised. I plan to order from the Laurel location in future to avoid the usual Denny's-brand hassle. Now, instead of skipping the drama, I can just go out of my way to get good pancakes! My server was Maureen D. and I like the way she took care of business. No... I loved it. She took my order, we chatted for a minute or two and then, before I knew what was going on the food was at my table. I came here because I was hungry but, more over, I was utterly EXHAUSTED after deciding to drive up from Tampa in the last minute for the 4th of July fireworks in D.C.... I've had 2 hrs of sleep in the last 38 hours... ugh! On the way iut I chatted with Will at the register... i think it may have irritated the manager but, let.me tell you, between Maureen and Will... I would drive out of my way to dine here again and I think that the real crime is that they don't work in the Hudson, Florida Denny's location. That place can use some help (I won't even review the place... it was that bad). Yep, I am busting out of my 4-stars for the first good experience and then bump it up on the next visit. What can I say about my lifetime at Denny's. This spot is great! I have ate at Denny's all over the USA including Guam! Everyone can find something yummy on the menu and so many new dishes they have!
