I visited Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que yesterday and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt welcomed. An employee was being trained at the time, and the staff immediately let us know this upfront. I really appreciated that level of transparency because it prevents customers from wondering why someone might be unfamiliar with certain things. Once we were seated, our server Virginia was amazing. She came to our table right away and helped guide us through the menu with recommendations that worked perfectly for both me and my dining companion. I ordered the Texas Beef Brisket and Catfish Fingers with red-skinned mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli, and a cornbread muffin. The food arrived quickly and everything was delicious. The cornbread muffin was melt-in-your-mouth good. My only small note is that the steamed broccoli was a little more cooked than I prefer -- I enjoy my broccoli with more crunch -- but that is purely a personal preference. One thing that really stood out to me was how well the staff worked together. Multiple servers checked on us and every interaction came with a smile and professionalism. The restaurant itself was also very clean and well maintained, which made the experience even more enjoyable. After paying our bill, we had the opportunity to speak with the manager, Leonie. After talking with her, it became clear why the team operates so well. Leadership truly sets the tone, and it is obvious that the culture she creates carries through the entire staff. Why if your doing carry out, you pay right away, before you get your fpod.. If you eat in, you pay after you have eaten the meal. This restaurant will give you the remnants from food served in house. I appreciated that the rib tips were not smothered in sauce; I wanted to taste the rib. The chicken was falling off the bone and smoky. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy. The collard greens & baked beans were both seasoned well & tasted good. The chicken was dry with hardly any bbq sauce. The catfish strips were too salty for me. I only ate 1 (comes with 4) The corn muffin was very good, not dry at all - my grandog loved his also. Overall the baked beans is the star of my platter. The portions are good. And the food is good! I have yet to try something here that I did not like. The staff at this location are attentive. For the options that we have for BBQ chain restaurants this one is the best. In my opinion I would rather go to Famous Daves any day over mission BBQ. Oh my goodness do I enjoy this location! It's nestled in a shopping center with plenty of parking, handicap accessible entrance, and a large vestibule. I'm always seated right away whether it's just me, or I'm with my family. Each and every time I visit, my order comes out in less than 10 minutes. It's like they know I'm there and they have my order ready in advance. My food is always brought to the table super fresh by a wonderful employee demonstrating great customer service. Prices are always pretty good and the place is clean. My only only gripe with this place is it's always so cold! It usually gets better once your food arrives, but that's 10 minutes and it is pretty pretty excruciating. Unsure how the temperature control is kept, but it would be a great service not only to myself, but to other customers if they regulated the temperature better along with the outdoor weather. Now let's get into this Sassy Salad! It's huge and most importantly VERY FRESH! No wilted lettuce or veggies here. I love a crunchy salad. The extra bonus is the pulled bbq chicken that's on top. This is one of my husbands favorite restaurants so we came here to celebrate this birthday. The menu has everything you could imagine and is great for parties since they have a large platter with a bit of everything. I'm not a big barbecue fan but I really love the flavors and tenderness of the meat. The corn bread is so tasty and the staff have been wonderful each time we've been there. If you don't have bbq meat, their chicken tenders are also so so so good. You can't go wrong with the iced tea either. The chicken wings are really good too. We order them without sauce and use the sauces provided on the table to get a little taste of everything. Just by themselves is great though. I asked for a 3 meat combo and only got 1 of the meats I asked for. I pointed it out and received 1 of the other 2 missing meats on the side. I initially order burnt buttz, rib tips, and brisket. I got buffalo wings, some of the driest ribs (not tips which my wife got) and like 3 squares of brisket. This place used to be a favorite of mine, but this wasn't good at all. My wife had the audacity to order the apple crisp for dessert, and wouldn't you know that it was soggy and mushy. Restaurant wasn't at all busy. We were immediately seated, placed and received our drink and appetizer orders but, had to retrieve a set of utensil from a nearby table, as our table had none. Wings were mouthwatering! Well-seasoned, meaty & crispy skinned. Margarita was h-u-g-e. I usually don't leave alcohol on the table, but this glass was waaay too much for me. This review is based on carry out during a Wednesday evening on 2/27/19. We ordered sandwiches, which consisted of Georgia Chopped Pork for $9.99 and Texas Beef Brisket for $10.99. Each sandwich came with a choice of one side such as fries. The sandwiches were large and tasty. We were told the wait for our order would be 10 minutes and it was true. If you obtain the app for your phone, you can receive a free sandwich. If you sign up for emails, you will be notified with weekly discounts. 10/27/19 update - We had lunch at the restaurant because of a special "Throwback Pricing" promotion. We tried the Georgia Chopped Pork Sandwich with one side for $4.99 (regularly $9.99). The sandwich had a small amount of pork, but a good size of fries to offset the sandwich. My family and I took a trip to Maryland as our last weekend of summer. After checking into our hotel we took a walk over to a little shopping area. We realized there were tons of food options but we wanted to try something different so we saw famous Dave's and went right in. Our waitress was super friendly and she even gave me a sample of the jalapeño mac & cheese before I placed my order which was really good. I decided to go with the Texas Beef brisket sandwich with a side of coleslaw and the jalapeño mac & cheese and let me tell you everything was delicious. And to wash it down I had a big glass of sweet mama's punch which is an alcohol beverage LOL it was so good. We have been so good this week about our meal planning but the weekends we throw caution to the wind! We headed out for a quick lunch at our local Famous Dave's. Our server, Jordan was quite hospitable. We asked her about the new menu and she was more than happy to answer our question. We ended up getting a rack of St. Louis ribs. They came with two sides - we picked coke slaw and baked beans - and a corn muffin. I swear within 3-4 minutes out came the piping hot ribs, the creamy and crunchy cole slaw, and the meaty smoky baked beans. Yumm-o! So good, especially with the three types of BBQ sauce. The corn muffin was moist, buttery and slightly sweet just the way I love it! We were pretty quiet getting down with the get down, licking fingers, gobbling down the delicious sweet tea, just enjoying it all until our bellies were full. Saddens me that I even have to leave this review. I've been coming to this particular location for over 13 years! The past year this location has been on the decline and now they've lost a loyal customer. With the pandemic going on I've tried to support this business every chance I've gotten. Most of the time it was a hit or miss. The last few times I've called to place my order and they would tell me they don't have a particular product then I'd speak with a manager and they'd say they do have what I'm requesting. I placed an order over the phone for one of my favorites a Dave's sassy salad because I'm pregnant I need my meat well done which is why I called and requested that. When I got my salad, not only was the chicken not well done but RAW... they gave a pregnant woman raw chicken to consume! My salad was wilted as if they made the salad with soaking wet lettuce and the mix was rancid. I tried calling... the manager (a male) was very nonchalant. Didn't offer anything to rectify the situation, not even a refund. I sent an email stating my complaint.... Nothing! This place used to be a favorite I would go to at least once every 2 weeks. I've always enjoyed Famous Dave's. The food is good every time I go, and the catering is great, too. I got the ribs combo with cole slaw, mashed potatoes, and a corn muffin. The sides were delicious, especially the corn muffin. They make some of the best I've had. I'm not the biggest fan of St. Louis style, but these were really good. I know the real way to cook ribs is to have it so you can bite into a rib and it doesn't fall apart. My only wish is that these were SLIGHTLY more tender. I feel like I had to put a little more work into my bite. But again, other than that, they were pretty good. FD's is always a go-to for me. read more

The best one, so far, is the one located on Route 1 in Laurel, It's one of my favorite places to get food. Most recently, I was too lazy to drive over and order take out, so I used Door Dash. The food was flavorful. I ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon with broccoli and a loaded potato. I also ordered the Sweetwater Catfish Fingers to eat the next day. My food was sooo good. My salmon was moist and had the right amount of sauce on it. The baked potato came uncut with the toppings on the side. As with most meals, a cornbread muffin was included with my meal. I had no complaints. I was especially impressed with how fast my food arrived to my home. It took less than an hour for it to arrive. They included almost all the BBQ sauces, ketchup and utensils with my order. Famous Dave's is the best. I'd prefer to visit and dine in but if you're just like me and want a good To-Go order, consider Famous Dave's. You will not be disappointed. read more

We had to flag her down to get our check, which took awhile and also for her to bring back our change. Now for the food.. We got pulled pork and beef brisket. Food was pretty good! Juicy and flavorfull. I could tell it was cooked for quite some time as it was fall apart fork tender. This is why they get a 3 star. If only on service it would be a 1 star. My co-worker was raving about it. I ordered the two meat combo BBQ Chicken and under the advice of the waiter the Smoked Sausage link. My, oh my, I'm glad I did. The sausage was juicy and melted in my mouth like butter. My sides: mashed potatoes and collard greens. Both were good. The greens had more meat than I desired but still served their purpose. We've ordered Grubhub delivery twice, both times it was excellent. Everything we've ordered ribs, brisket, chopped pork, roasted chicken, rib tips, catfish, salads all super good. Last time they sent us way overcooked corn, that was a big disappointment but grubhub refunded us.
