That jerk turkey sub is the BEST sandwich i've ever had! Their fries are so unique, too. A little more expensive than fries anywhere else but I think they're worth it. They say there's cheese on the jerk turkey sub but I don't think I've ever seen it. read more

As good as Quizno's. Better than Jersey Mike's and Jimmy John's! Much better than Subway! Exceptional quality food! I have been here dozens of time over the past few years, and there's never a wait, the service is always friendly, the sandwiches fresh and amply built with delicious toppings, and plenty of interior seating. I ordered the French dip sandwich and the spicy Cajun chicken sandwich, both of which were superb, flavorful, good portion, and smelled great! Highly recommended! read more

Quick backstory: Until recently ive been cooking the traditional Thanksgiving meal with all the fixings, even when it was just my wife and a guest or two. Even when we lived in Mexico i woud find myself cooking for a dozen people, thinking to myself "is Thanksgiving even a thing here?". Wife swears it was :-/ So this recently I've been trying out different places' Thanksgiving sandwiches to determine which one will be served (including for any guests) on the big day. The winner is Firehouse Subs. (Terrific staff by the way!) Except for my wife who will be choosing a different sub. Turns out she's not a fan of Turkey :-/ Could have mentioned this years ago! If you've gotten this far; I highly recomend stopping by for a sub, especially if it saves you half a day in the kitchen while you're wife is in another room enjoying margaritas with guests. read more

Representing F in runner-up of out of town picks for local DMV for 2021, F is for Firehouse Subs. I've been to this Firehouse Subs multiple times. The sandwiches are way better than Subway. I like their roast beef & turkey varieties. Staff is usually pretty cordial & relatively efficient as I never have to wait long for my food. The points program hasn't been great as they upped the number of points significantly, but I used for free sandwich & then free dessert after that. Their cherry limeade is excellent too. The store is pretty big so plenty of seats to choose from. Also, they support local fire departments, which is a plus too. read more

Quick service, large selection of, affordable prices, great sub/hoagie bread (not the stuff that gets soggy), REAL spicy food (no mass marketed, watered down gimmicks), plenty of options for mild food, and some vegetarian option. Never see anyone eating in, but the dine in area is clean, well decorated, wide layout, quiet and has some popular music playing over speakers. Definitely go here, if only to try it out. read more

The Laurel Firehouse Subs has new management and is finally doing a great job. I have had many meals there the last couple of years and the food has been consistently great. They have solved the cross-contamination issues and I've had no allergic reactions to their gluten-free subs. The place is clean and the staff are friendly and service is quick. I can now highly recommend the Laurel Firehouse Subs! read more

For subs, this is my go-to. Quality and portions are excellent; the first time I had a New York Steamer, told my friends it was the best sub I've ever had. Haven't been in the store, always order in, but very happy with this place and recommend highly. read more

I got their chicken soup. It was really good. Their bread is also really nice. It isn't a really full restaurant as the time I went out which was like lunch. It wasn't really full. I gotta take out order and the people at the front really nice. They're just they're making sure that you're getting your order and confirming it as well. As the place is really clean. It's not dirty. It's maintained well.. read more

Tried Firehouse Subs for the first time today. I ordered online and picked it up. I got the Turkey Bacon Ranch. Firstly, I was impressed with the packaging they use. The sub container seems biodegradable and is a nice sized, compact unit. The sub itself was really good. I will definitely come back to have it again and also try other menu items. read more

Descent subs, I like the bread. Could do so many cool thinngs with it. They could offer a garlic bread, maybe even a breakfast sandwich with everything spice and creme cheese. read more

I placed a online order and they did not start it until I got there about 15 minutes later. The store only had 2 other people inside.. As far as my food my sub 's bread was really soggy for some reason, and filled with barely any meat (Steak and cheese). I've gone to many locations and this was the worst experience. Also, the female worker with long black hair did not have a hair net on and her hair was constantly swinging around the food prep area. I will not be coming back here. read more

A good, cheap alternative - half a sandwich filled me up. Chips, cookie, drink, sandwich combo - so good. Chocolate cookies straight out of the oven, chips still oozy, lots of potato chip flavors and my sandwich - different from other sub shops. It's all about the roll, meat and fresh condiments. They shave their meat, the lettuce is shredded and everything is a perfect balance of meat/cheese/veg on a soft roll. I read the reviews of the customer service experienced below and I don't know who you all got, but the gal who waited on us was super friendly. I had added different things and omitted others on my sandwich and she repeated my order back to me, brought out those amazing cookies and had a smile on her face the entire time. Going on a picnic? Make this your first stop. You get bang for you buck and good customer service. read more

Service here is terrible. I will never come back to this sub shop again. I came here with intentions to use the coupon offered by T-Mobile, where you receive a free medium sub with the purchase of any item. After I left my house, on this cold, chilly afternoon, I was turned away. The young lady at the front desk, who appeared to be instructed by her manager, rudely points at the clock when I present my coupon and proceeds to make an erroneous claim that the deal ends at 3pm. I typically don't leave my house, due to COVID, so I was disappointed to basically be told a lie to get out of honoring the deal. I'll never know how the food is here, because the service is deplorable. read more

I have always wondered about Firehouse subs. I was intrigued about how they began and how they support and give back to our first responders. They are two brothers who are second generation firefighters. I admire that, so I wondered if the story lived up to the reputation of these sandwiches. I ordered online of course to save some time and ensure social distancing. I arrived my order was waiting for me still warm. I ordered a medium steak and cheese toasted with lots of veggies. The first thing I noticed was how fresh the bread was. It was chewy with a wonderful outer crust. The steak tasted good to tender and not chewy. Veggies were very fresh. My only complaint was the pickle that came with the sandwich. Was small and limp but otherwise good sandwich and great service! read more

First time here! Very thoroughly impressed. The lady at the register greets every single customer that walks in and all employees were friendly and nice! One thing that really stood out was the cleanliness of the entire place. All the tables were clean, chairs pushed in, floors swept, windows clean, drink area spotless. The manager (I think) was here making sure things were orderly. Our subs were tasty and did not take long at all to make. We ordered the smokehouse brisket and Club on a sub. Both were delicious and served hot. I already can't wait to come back again and try everything else on their menu! (The person who gave a one star review should be ashamed- if she wanted a cold sub she should have said so!) give this place a try, you won't be disappointed! Also, they donate to provide training, equipment, and support to hometown heroes! read more

Never ever go to this location. The manager Stephanie is rude and refused to fill the order I paid for. I ordered 2 subs online. I went to pick it up but they had no record of the order. I showed them the confirmation email. I even showed them the charge on my Amex. I waited 45 min for them to solve it and give me my 2 sandwiches I paid for. The end result was that Stephanie refused to give me the order I paid for despite seeing the charge and the order confirmation. Corporate apologized and all the manager, Stephanie had to do was make 2 sandwiches which is common sense customer service. Instead by arguing with me they lost my monthly business, lost the business of the couple that got sick of waiting while they looked for my order, they have bad reviews on Google, Yelp, BBB, and Facebook. Plus Amex will make a charge back. If you want Firehouse go to a different location. read more

Came here on a Wednesday night at 5:30pm, hungry and in a hurry. Only one person in front of me, then it's my turn....I order fast, register girl is polite and quick, and then I'm off to the drink station. I don't know why Firehouse's cherry-limeaid drink is so good, but it is...and I can't wait to take a sip. While I'm filling my drink, they're making my order: a fully loaded Hook and Ladder on white. Sandwich is on the table in front of me about 4 minutes later. It's tasty, hot, and fresh. Exactly what I want when I go to a Firehouse location...and they did a good job. Also, as other reviewers have noted, the prices here at Firehouse can sneak up on you. The giant menu board they're printed on is only 4 feet tall by 9 feet long, so I made sure to post a picture of it here - that way, the prices can't surprise unsuspecting diners...ever...again. Overall, a great dinner. Thanks guys. read more

Throw the whole Manager away!! I would give this place more stars if it were not for the manager. She is very rude unprofessional and abrupt. The first time I went there everything went well. She wasn't there. The second time I went she was talking to the staff and it was so belittling and rude, I felt bad for them. That is no way to treat your staff. Not if you want to keep them ! Today was my third visit and I ordered three subs. One sub had hair in it. So I called on the phone regarding the order and was on hold for ten minutes before Manager M (that's if she even gave me her real name) rudely got on the phone. (No apology for the hold time and her tone indicated annoyance) I tell her what happened and she said that she would check the camera. (What would the camera show exactly? I'm sure they didn't intentionally put hair in my food.) I told her to hold while I check the other sub. It had all the toppings and veggies but no meat! How do you make a sandwich and forget the key ingredient? At this point I'm just like ok I guess I have to drive back to the store to get this fixed. While I'm talking the manager hangs up!! I get to the store and I'm told that she left for the day. Mind you, it is a 5-10 min drive to the store. The only saving grace of this location are the subs and the staff. Most of the staff are courteous and professional. They apologized for my experience and re-made my entire order properly. If this place is going to last the Manager needs some extensive training on Customer Service, Professionalism, Employee Relations, and Management. I'm a Human Resources professional I can gladly provide her with some resources! read more

Refused to take my order in person. Was forced to make my order through third-party application (GrubHub). Racist and won't return.

I am beyond grateful for the response I received from Firehouse Subs and I am more than willing to give them another shot. I'm actually at hibachi now and I'll go in and order a mini steak n cheese!! Hopefully this experience is better bc I've heard great things about this place! I increased my ratings to 3 just bc of the response from the restaurant! read more

Subs are really good but the customer service takes away from the enjoyment of the food due to the fact that you would be thinking about your encounter with the staff. In particular the African lady who is the manager. She is rude and lacks a friendly smile and does not know how to speak to a customer. She should attend an etiquette course or receive a re-training in customer service. I do not mention her name for security purposes but you can go to this location and you will meet her. You can't miss her. read more

Worst customer service! My husband and I recently moved to Laurel and every time we drive by we talk about wanting to stop and try their subs. We have T-Mobile and they give weekly "rewards" and this week they gave us a free firehouse sub with the purchase of anything. I am currently 9 months pregnant and because of Covid decided to stay in the car while my husband took my phone into the restaurant to get our subs. After ordering and pulling up our subs on the app, the manager came over, spoke to the cashier and they decided that it was one per customer and he could not have 2 subs. Now, I get that they have a valid point, but I am pregnant and in the car! The coronavirus is a big deal for pregnant women-if I get the virus, my husband can't come into the deliver room with me. I'm not going to risk that for a free sub. But the fact that the cashier and manager yelled at my husband... it's shocking. We were so excited to try this place. Clearly they do not care about customer service or their quality. The one sub we did get was good. But seriously, the lack of empathy or humanity is astounding. read more

First time here and I won't be back. I ordered a small Italian sub. I expect for an Italian sub to be cold, but it was heated for some odd reason. There was an excessive amount of mayo on the sandwich. I ordered oil and vinegar on the sandwich as well. When I got my food, it was in a small to-go box, not wrapped (like every other sub place does). They shouldn't try to reinvent the wheel w packaging because it wasn't effective. This caused my sandwich to fall apart in the bag on my way home and made it extremely soggy. Overall it was just a gross experience. It's not worth it. read more

First time at a firehouse subs. The subs, while a bit on the small side, were very tasty. The bread was a really nice pallet for the meats, cheese, and veggies. Beyond the food, the staff were rock stars. I will definitely be back. read more

I tried ordering online through Yelp but when I showed up, they hadn't received my order yet. I was annoyed that the system ended up taking more time than helping... the Manager really could've been more helpful but she wasn't. I had to finally tell them to start the sandwich so that by the time the order reached them, it would be done. I paid online so either way, I was going to need my sandwich. The sandwich was good...the restaurant seemed clean and typical of other locations. read more

For some reason it's hard to even find DECENT service in Laurel. I had high hopes for this place since it hasn't been open for too long. The staff was rude and looked at us like we were wasting their time. Mind you she stopped listening to our order mid way through and started a conversation with one of her co-workers who just started his shift. It was our first time there as well so we weren't familiar with the ordering process but she didn't make it any easier. The subs weren't anything special. To be honest I'd rather go to potbelly or subway. The meat seemed like lunch meat on the Italian sub and the meatball sub definitely tasted frozen. Then again you can't expect much from a chain sub place. Half of the sodas in the fountain were out of service. You only had a couple of options to choose from as well. Will not be returning. I've worked in the food industry for years so I guess I don't understand how you can really be rude to customers to their face. Glad it didn't take too long to get our food and leave. read more

i don't know if y'all hire special people but come on now atleast don't have the special people at the register taking people orders where you have to keep repeating what you want on your turkey sandwich about 8 times for them to still not get people sandwich correctly take kaushika and put kaushika as the cleaning crew or tell that person open up they ears and clean them. lucky i had to leave a star because i wouldn't leave nothing take kaushika from the cash register and put that person as a cleaning crew theres no reason why you have to repeat your order 8 times for them to still not get your order right why hire somebody slow and put them on the register that person needs to be cleaning toilets mirrors and sinks not taking people orders read more

I forgot how good these subs were until I stopped in the other day. I got the large hook and ladder and added bacon. Turned out amazing... I was surprised how big the subs are. Shout outs to all of America's Bravest for saving lives, kicking ass and taking names. They however have put the proverbial cherry on top with Firehouse subs. Makes Subway pull over to the side of the road to let em by because these Subs are on fire!!! The combinations, the delicious bread, the meats... and you throw in that old curmudgeon Capt. The worst sub I have ever had and the customer service is nonexistent. I did not get everything I had ordered and when I brought this to an employee's attention she said she was just to busy. Never received my complete order and the food that I did get, worst ever. Well the customer service and food are right on par with each other......very poor at best. Would give a 0 out of a 10. Will never buy anything from this location again. Only put 1 star because it wouldn't let me put 0 or negative. read more

I really want Firehouse to do well but if that's going to happen, the ladies and gentlemen making the subs need to work faster and smile more. Even though we ordered ahead, we still had a 10 minute wait. The main reason for the wait was because everyone there moved really really really slowly! Maybe we caught them on a bad day but everyone was frowning. It just wasn't a positive environment. The manager either needs to up the moral or bring in new staff.
