Quick backstory: Until recently ive been cooking the traditional Thanksgiving meal with all the fixings, even when it was just my wife and a guest or two. Even when we lived in Mexico i woud find myself cooking for a dozen people, thinking to myself "is Thanksgiving even a thing here?". I like their roast beef & turkey varieties. Staff is usually pretty cordial & relatively efficient as I never have to wait long for my food. The points program hasn't been great as they upped the number of points significantly, but I used for free sandwich & then free dessert after that. Their cherry limeade is excellent too. The store is pretty big so plenty of seats to choose from. Also, they support local fire departments, which is a plus too. read more

As far as my food my sub 's bread was really soggy for some reason, and filled with barely any meat (Steak and cheese). I've gone to many locations and this was the worst experience. Tried Firehouse Subs for the first time today. I ordered online and picked it up. I got the Turkey Bacon Ranch. Firstly, I was impressed with the packaging they use. They shave their meat, the lettuce is shredded and everything is a perfect balance of meat/cheese/veg on a soft roll. I read the reviews of the customer service experienced below and I don't know who you all got, but the gal who waited on us was super friendly. I came here with intentions to use the coupon offered by T-Mobile, where you receive a free medium sub with the purchase of any item. After I left my house, on this cold, chilly afternoon, I was turned away. The young lady at the front desk, who appeared to be instructed by her manager, rudely points at the clock when I present my coupon and proceeds to make an erroneous claim that the deal ends at 3pm. I have always wondered about Firehouse subs. I was intrigued about how they began and how they support and give back to our first responders. They are two brothers who are second generation firefighters. I admire that, so I wondered if the story lived up to the reputation of these sandwiches. I ordered online of course to save some time and ensure social distancing. I arrived my order was waiting for me still warm. I ordered a medium steak and cheese toasted with lots of veggies. The first thing I noticed was how fresh the bread was. It was chewy with a wonderful outer crust. The steak tasted good to tender and not chewy. Veggies were very fresh. First time here! Very thoroughly impressed. The lady at the register greets every single customer that walks in and all employees were friendly and nice! One thing that really stood out was the cleanliness of the entire place. All the tables were clean, chairs pushed in, floors swept, windows clean, drink area spotless. The manager (I think) was here making sure things were orderly. Our subs were tasty and did not take long at all to make. We ordered the smokehouse brisket and Club on a sub. Both were delicious and served hot. I already can't wait to come back again and try everything else on their menu! Never ever go to this location. The manager Stephanie is rude and refused to fill the order I paid for. I ordered 2 subs online. I went to pick it up but they had no record of the order. I showed them the confirmation email. I even showed them the charge on my Amex. I waited 45 min for them to solve it and give me my 2 sandwiches I paid for. The end result was that Stephanie refused to give me the order I paid for despite seeing the charge and the order confirmation. Corporate apologized and all the manager, Stephanie had to do was make 2 sandwiches which is common sense customer service. Instead by arguing with me they lost my monthly business, lost the business of the couple that got sick of waiting while they looked for my order, they have bad reviews on Google, Yelp, BBB, and Facebook. Came here on a Wednesday night at 5:30pm, hungry and in a hurry. Only one person in front of me, then it's my turn....I order fast, register girl is polite and quick, and then I'm off to the drink station. I don't know why Firehouse's cherry-limeaid drink is so good, but it is...and I can't wait to take a sip. While I'm filling my drink, they're making my order: a fully loaded Hook and Ladder on white. Sandwich is on the table in front of me about 4 minutes later. It's tasty, hot, and fresh. Exactly what I want when I go to a Firehouse location...and they did a good job. Also, as other reviewers have noted, the prices here at Firehouse can sneak up on you. The giant menu board they're printed on is only 4 feet tall by 9 feet long, so I made sure to post a picture of it here - that way, the prices can't surprise unsuspecting diners...ever...again. Throw the whole Manager away!! I would give this place more stars if it were not for the manager. She is very rude unprofessional and abrupt. The first time I went there everything went well. She wasn't there. The second time I went she was talking to the staff and it was so belittling and rude, I felt bad for them. That is no way to treat your staff. Not if you want to keep them ! Today was my third visit and I ordered three subs. One sub had hair in it. So I called on the phone regarding the order and was on hold for ten minutes before Manager M (that's if she even gave me her real name) rudely got on the phone. (No apology for the hold time and her tone indicated annoyance) I tell her what happened and she said that she would check the camera. (What would the camera show exactly? I'm sure they didn't intentionally put hair in my food.) I told her to hold while I check the other sub. It had all the toppings and veggies but no meat! How do you make a sandwich and forget the key ingredient? At this point I'm just like ok I guess I have to drive back to the store to get this fixed. While I'm talking the manager hangs up!! I get to the store and I'm told that she left for the day. Mind you, it is a 5-10 min drive to the store. The only saving grace of this location are the subs and the staff. Most of the staff are courteous and professional. They apologized for my experience and re-made my entire order properly. If this place is going to last the Manager needs some extensive training on Customer Service, Professionalism, Employee Relations, and Management. Subs are really good but the customer service takes away from the enjoyment of the food due to the fact that you would be thinking about your encounter with the staff. In particular the African lady who is the manager. She is rude and lacks a friendly smile and does not know how to speak to a customer. Worst customer service! My husband and I recently moved to Laurel and every time we drive by we talk about wanting to stop and try their subs. We have T-Mobile and they give weekly "rewards" and this week they gave us a free firehouse sub with the purchase of anything. I am currently 9 months pregnant and because of Covid decided to stay in the car while my husband took my phone into the restaurant to get our subs. After ordering and pulling up our subs on the app, the manager came over, spoke to the cashier and they decided that it was one per customer and he could not have 2 subs. Now, I get that they have a valid point, but I am pregnant and in the car! The coronavirus is a big deal for pregnant women-if I get the virus, my husband can't come into the deliver room with me. I'm not going to risk that for a free sub. But the fact that the cashier and manager yelled at my husband... it's shocking. We were so excited to try this place. Clearly they do not care about customer service or their quality. The one sub we did get was good. But seriously, the lack of empathy or humanity is astounding. read more

There was an excessive amount of mayo on the sandwich. I ordered oil and vinegar on the sandwich as well. When I got my food, it was in a small to-go box, not wrapped (like every other sub place does). They shouldn't try to reinvent the wheel w packaging because it wasn't effective. For some reason it's hard to even find DECENT service in Laurel. I had high hopes for this place since it hasn't been open for too long. The staff was rude and looked at us like we were wasting their time. Mind you she stopped listening to our order mid way through and started a conversation with one of her co-workers who just started his shift. It was our first time there as well so we weren't familiar with the ordering process but she didn't make it any easier. The subs weren't anything special. To be honest I'd rather go to potbelly or subway. The meat seemed like lunch meat on the Italian sub and the meatball sub definitely tasted frozen. I tried this place when I was in the area and had the brisket and cheddar sub, which was delicious. Probably full of an insane amount of calories, but much better than any other sub I've had. I ended up going back a few days later for another, it was so good. And I did something very uncharacteristic: I left my purse, with my wallet, cash and all my valuables, including the ID I'd need for my flight the next day, slung over the back of my chair.
