The Big Greek Cafe in Laurel is finally open and the food was delicious (lots of flavor). Although the restaurant was super busy today, I received my meal super fast and fresh. I highly recommend their gyro combo. HOURS: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM

Gyro Portion of the Big Greek Feast!!!

Thousands of years before, Kandor was a booming metropolis on the planet Krypton. That was several millennium before Krypton's most famous infant was loaded lovingly into a spaceship by his parents to escape catastrophe and destined to be discovered by the Kent's, and an even longer passing of time from when Brainiac stole and shrunk Kandor with then-Commissioner Zod's blessing. So, for philosophers and historians, a question arose, "What did life become for the residents of that 'bottled' city? I'd like to think the smallest and newest of the Big Greek Cafe's in Laurel, Maryland, at 13600 Baltimore Ave. provides an answer. Just as Laurel's Big Greek Cafe has quickly become a hotspot for citizens of the DMV to snag a Salmon Bowl, Rizogalo (rice pudding), Moussaka (Greek Lasagna-equivalent), a Hercules Burger, gyros, crispy flounder, and Baklava, so too would Kandor become a bustling destination for all Kandorian foodies. In Kandor, after all, there would be no other choice!

Absolutely loved my food from here. I tried the our famous gyro pita with fries. Tons of meat on the pita and the fries were amazing! My husband got the gyro bowl. He really enjoyed it. We shared the baklava cheesecake, so good! Just treat yourself and get it! I ordered there at the restaurant and took the food to go. I would say it took about 10 min for them to cook the food. Service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was fairly small I would not bring a large party to dine in. It was clean inside. I'm not big into Greek food but The Big Greek Cafe may have made me change my mind! Everything was delicious.

This place is soooo good! Everything always tastes fresh and it is seasoned well. I go at least once a week.

The Big Greek Cafe for the win! 13600 Baltimore Ave, Laurel, MD 20707 Yummmm ! Greek food has always been a favorite cuisine and this venue did not disappoint! Service was fast and friendly and welcoming. A lot of my favorite dishes. My friend excitedly made me aware that it finally opened! By Lulu's, Cold Stone, Sardis, and Longhorns, Shoppers, and Pets smart.... I think there was a Starbucks there at some time. I'm always down for trying out a little bit of everything for a first impression! I left with belly full of yummies and I had fun exploring the menu!

    Gyro bowl (so good)

I think I could eat this every week. I'm trying not to. I had a Gyro Bowl twice and it was so good each time. I keep forgetting to take a picture before I start digging into it. One day I hope to go when I'm not so hungry. I would ask to add olives to the bowl. The lemon olive oil vinaigrette was not what I expected but so good with the pita. I think they need to work on consistency because both bowls had different amounts of ingredients that were obvious enough for disappointment. The Gyro Pita was super tasty! The Bifteki Pita wasn't seasoned as much, or at least to our liking, so we wouldn't get it again. The fries are perfect, of course. I need to go to Greece ASAP.

    Delicious Gyro & Greek fries!
    Mat G.

A solid 4 stars! Their gyro was fantastic & flavorful as it was wrapped in a soft pita. Their fries were good, just not as great as I have had from other Greek fast casual places such as Marathon in College Park. Food service was prompt, friendly & helpful staff, and the prices are very reasonable.

This was close by to a customer I was visiting, small place, few tables, most people did pick up! The staff was very friendly, I got the falafel salad and it was great! Salad was fresh and falafel was delicious! Quick and easy lunch!

The club sandwich was huge, tasty and everything you should expect from a club sandwich. My only complaint is that it was a little on the plain side. Definitely needed a sprinkle of salt and pepper to help bring out the flavor. The chicken cheese steak was very flavorful, and a good size as well. The beef vegetable soup tasted homemade, and was packed with veggies(not just mostly broth like most other restaurants). It also could have benefited from a little of salt, pepper, and an acid like tomatoes. The French fries were fantastic, but also needed salt. I'm assuming the cooks at the deli do not add salt because they figure the customers will add it themselves. All in all, I really enjoy Pi's Deli, and will definitely order from them again sooner than later.

It was around lunchtime and my stomach was growling. So, this is located across the street. I went online and ordered a BLT sandwich. The sandwich was ok, but I think they went a bit overboard with the tomatoes and lettuce. It was just on toasted bread and was overwhelmed with lettuce and tomatoes. At least the bacon was fresh and not pre-cooked. So that was a plus. other than that, I probably wouldn't purchase that again, but I hear they have very good breakfast meals. So, three stars is what it was worth to me.

It was an impromptu visit, so I did not purchase much. I really wanted to look around and select a few items while doing so. At first glance, the organization, flow and cleanliness of the produce department captured my attention. All of the produce presented nicely and it looked fresh. The prices appeared a little high for some items, but as the adage says, "You get what you pay for". I purchased mostly produce. The navel oranges and pink grapefruit were huge. They were also deliciously sweet and juicy. Before going to the checkout area, I moved along to other areas of the store and found consistency with the level of cleanliness. I ended the visit in the area with health supplements. In my opinion, the selection was relatively extensive for a grocery store. I was able to find what I needed and then walked to the checkout lane. Many of the items purchased were either on sale or discounted with the store's rewards member card. Since this was my first visit, I did not have a card, so the cashier used the complimentary store card. She informed me that I could sign up for a card at the customer service desk. The checkout process was fast. Finally, I walked over to the customer service desk to apply for a store card. The customer service supervisor/manager was nice. While processing the card, she made friendly, small talk, which was pleasant. The reward's card process seemed a little extensive unlike many other stores, but it was fine. Overall, I had a good shopping experience here and I will definitely return.
