An Updated review couple years later..... Local spot to HoCo, Casual dining, Consistency in quality of food, Delicious in flavor and drinks, Attentive service, Reasonable prices, Crowded almost always, so it is the parking situation. Highly recommend.

I've been absolutely SLEEPING on Texas Roadhouse. For some reason I always thought it was an expensive steakhouse? My bad. We stopped in last Tuesday evening and we were seated in a booth immediately. The interior is western themed, it was busy and I'm assuming it most likely always is. I also loved that they play country music. They brought rolls with them as they were leading us to our table which I liked. The rolls were as delicious as everyone says they are (we had 2 rounds). Prices are super reasonable and you get a lot of food. I got the bbq chicken it was juicy and sauced judiciously. The Mac n cheese was not worth the extra 99 cents, kind of a let down. The baked potato was bomb. My boyfriend got the 8oz steak which he finished in 4 seconds, the fries were good as was the buttered corn. Our waitress was fast and checked on us continuously! They also had a manager rounding who checked on us as well! The hosts were also welcoming. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

This was weeknight visit with my daughter's Girl Scout Troop @ Texas Roadhouse -Surprisingly it was pretty crowded for a weeknight. We were seated a two separate tables however, we were across from one another. The waitress was very nice and accommodating to use our coupon codes for girls. I typically order just about the same thing every time and today was no different. Our food came out pretty quickly and everyone enjoyed it. Will definitely return

Came here on a Thursday at 5 PM and it was already packed. I definitely recommend joining the waitlist online ahead of time. Parking is easy with their private lot. Danii, our server, was super sweet and attentive. We enjoyed the complimentary warm bread rolls with the whipped cinnamon honey butter. DRINKS: Tropical Breeze Mocktail ($5) was refreshing. It had flavors of mango, sour mix, coconut, and a little fizz from the club soda. Blue Crush Lemonade ($3.79) was way too sweet for me. I had to ask for some club soda on the side to help balance it out. FOOD: Rattlesnake Bites ($8.49): these fried jalapeño and jack cheese poppers were crispy and flavorful. The blossom horseradish sauce was the star of the night though. We ended up even dipping our rolls in the blossom sauce. 8 oz Sirloin & Shrimp Combo ($22.99): Steak was cooked medium rare just right (although abit dry). Smothered onions & mushrooms was an extra $2.29, but not sure if it was necessary. The grilled shrimp had nice garlic lemon flavor, but was salty. Chicken Critters & Ribs Combo ($18.49): the ribs were fall off the bone, but they were dry in spots. The sauce was just okay - nothing crazy, more like store bought BBQ sauce. I definitely had better ribs elsewhere. Chicken was tender with a good batter, although not crispy. Their hot buffalo dipping sauce did help elevate the dish. Each combo came with 2 sides: seasoned rice was fine, our chili came late but was worth it. It was topped with cheddar cheesy and red onions. Overall, lively atmosphere, great service, and some solid bites (those rolls, rattlesnake bites, and chili are musts).

This is a really great location if you want a good steak and great customer service! They have the bread at the table and water ready by the time you sit down. I haven't had that kind of service in a while. I usually go to the one in Frederick. I always get my usually sirloin steak and sweet potato with the green beans! So good! No complaints. We had a booth by the bar, it wasn't too crazy or anything. They ask us to cut our steaks before leaving the table so they can insure everything is up to par. Love that!! I love their setup inside. Will come here again if I am in the area. Thanks for great quality service!

Great Prime rib with sweet potato, broccoli, & free appetizer their fried wings. Delicious Rolls sadly not pictured

So, it looks I did an alphabet series from October 2020-February 2024 (& had given up after the letter U) but had some other reviews mixed in and would occasionally go back. So, I forgot I had written a review for T is for Texas Roadhouse in October 2023. In this current alphabet series of places gone to with my girlfriend from beginning of relationship in February 2024 to Easter 2025, I'm not leaving one of the 26 letters behind! Well, for the letter X, I had to get creative, X is for TeXas Roadhouse or TX for short. My g/f & I visited on Monday, February 3, 2025 as I had a birthday deal of a free appetizer plus they were donating profits to the American Tinnitus Association, which I've had at times. My g/f & I split prime rib, sweet potato, & broccoli. Entree & sides were great. The free appetizer we got were the wings, but they were fried. Still good when dipping in the ranch, but was kind of thinking grilled, which would've been better. Server was nice, attentive, and good with water refills. And of course, the big highlight here are their buttered rolls, which I love here. Prime rib was solid too. Although some prime rib is better, it's still a great option at not too ridiculously of a high price.

I've always heard about Texas Roadhouse and was surprised to see one near me. We went as a group of 8 because we heard the dinner rolls were to die for and everyone wanted to try them. When we arrived there was a 45 minute wait but we were sat in 25 minutes. Our waitress took our appetizer order (bloomin' onion) and we asked for 3 baskets of bread rolls. After a few minutes we received the onion but no rolls. We inquired again to another server and they said it would be a few minutes. More time passed and eventually our server returned and was confused as to where the bread was. This was the only real hiccup to an otherwise great meal. I ordered the country fried chicken with cream gravy and it was delicious but far too heavy to finish in one sitting. For my sides I went with mushrooms and fries. The mushrooms were cooked and seasoned well. The fries were thick and a carb overloaded. Overall, this place fits the bill for a Texas dinner as everyone is large and filling. Extra points for them allowing me to pay the bill from the tablet on the table.

This review is an older since I forgot to make an update when I went back in 3/28/25. I ordered a medium rare and was given a rare steak. I asked for it to be cooked again and got back a burnt steak which the manager(?) made me cut in front of them which was somewhat embarrassing even though it wasn't my fault. Steak ended up being wasted as it just tasted burnt. I'm a bit leery about ordering any medium rare steaks here as this was the second time I've been given rare when I asked for a medium rare. It was the first time I've ever asked for it to be cooked again and I didn't appreciate being given back a burnt steak.

Ordered carry out. I must say the meals were great. The chicken breasts were nice and tender and full of flavor. The salad and sweet potato were very tasty as well. The server at pick up was very nice and welcomed me with a warm smile. My order was ready when promised. Great choice for to go orders!

My leftovers-ribs, chicken critters, corn, sweet potatoes and roll.

Definitely one of the best Texas Roadhouse restaurants we have been to....the one in Pasadena doesn't even compare to this one! Everyone was beyond friendly, from the hostess staff to the bus people! Our server Farah was absolutely FABULOUS! She took our drink order and we ordered an appetizer and before we could blink, our drinks were on the table along with rolls and of course we had to have what you come to the TR for....PEANUTS! Farah took our order and I had a time trying to decide on the sauce for my chicken critters. Even when I changed my sauce and apologized for it, she went and got me honey mustard with a total smile on her face! I work with the public and I know it can be really hard deal with the public day after day, but Farah has it going on! Our food came out, piping hot and HUGE portions.....ended up taking the majority of our dinner home....lol, rolls, peanuts and apps killed dinner for me. Hubby ate half of his and took the rest home. By the way, Farah even brought covers for the sauces along with ample carryout boxes for the rest of our food. This is a typical steakhouse....louder atmosphere and all in all it was very clean and we had a nice evening!

We love coming here for casual dinners. I've gotten different kinds of steaks, from sirloin to bone in rib eyes. I like that you can order a steak off the menu, or pick out one when you walk by the case in the front. The shrimp skewers, chicken, pulled pork are also tasty options. I like how they bring you those buttery soft rolls as soon as you are seated. The service is always nice and friendly. That's why we keep going back.

It s a great experience here. My dad had been asking to come here for a while so I took him for his birthday. It was a Friday night and pretty packed. It was a 45 min wait for a table. We decided to wait them out. Before being seated they allowed us to pick a steak out for our meals. You can also choose to order from the regular menu. Drinks were good and the food was good. They rolls they have are a little sweat and delicious. The thing that put it to fave stars was the service. The waitress was very friendly and made us feel like valued customers. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed all evening

Thank you Kenneth for the $50 gift card. We went during the lunch hours (Sunday, 1DEC). As soon as we parked I realized that we had been to one of these before, in 2019 in Illinois. Our server Anna, was great, pleasant, effecient, friendly, got everything right. None of the negatives I am about to share have anything to do with her performance. There are two things that are consistent right out of the gate. This place is loud, as in shouting to be heard, if you have any hearing issues, there will be a lot of repeating things. The music is too loud, just plain too loud. Yes I am an older fellow. I don't mind loud music at a concert, a party, in headphones while vibing on the 80s music I love. However I am not so sure that I will ever want music that I didn't choose played so loudly that your ears ring all the way home. The execution on the basic food we selected was just plain marginal to be fair. My wife's "well" burger was burnt and dry. My "med" burger was cooked okay but uneven seasoning made each bite a surprise. It may not have been the worse burger I have had, but I think my wife's was one of her worst. Here is what I said in 2019 about the cactus bloom...."We were seduced by the onion cactus [the squirrels will enjoy that today] we ate some of it, but the bottom was doughy/visible flour. We will skip that if we come back. The idea of it is better than the execution (at least this location, this night)." Change night to day and that is the only difference. I clearly had forgotten. It's a great idea and executed correctly it's likely a nice starter. This was not that. (see photo). Only the the outer fringes were edible, the base was soggy raw onion. I don't think I will give this chain a third strike. At this price point, the food should just plain be better. I don't think they will ever hit the curve.

    DAMN!

The vibe was pleasant but had the makings to be rowdy on a weekend or happy hour. We started with the crab dip which was super legit. More of a queso texture, this dip is served with tortilla chips and bread. Very tasty. I had the fish tacos which come with fries. The tacos had the right amount of fillings and spice. The fish had all the smoky seasonings of being grilled. An excellent dish. My bride had the French Toast as it was brunch and what I sampled was definitely approved. Our daughter had the fish which was light and flakey. It was seasoned less than the fish in the tacos but equally delish. We finished it off by share the crème brûlée which was perfection. Their selection of steaks and seafood was rather impressive but was a bit too expensive for my blood. However, if you truly wish to celebrate somewhere, their selection likely cannot be beat. Go up one level in the parking garage where there's space for Grillmarx and enter the entrance on that level.

We made a last-minute decision to try for some of the nightly jazz (except Monday) at 18th & 21st on a Friday evening (Oct 2025), hip-ly named for the prohibition amendment and repeal :-) There's a free parking garage right across from the entrance of the building they share with a sister restaurant, Cured. We arrived in the bright seasonally-decorated welcoming lobby about 7:50pm. We ought to have made reservations, but in under 10min, the reception staff took us to the more intimate room towards the back where we were seated at at the bar, which is really what we wanted. When we arrived, the 6pm jazz band had just gone on break, so we felt free to chat with friendly regulars and with the bar staff. They have a changing list of ten craft beers from $6 to $21, plus one $6 non-alcoholic brew. Five of the $14-$35 per-glass vintage wines from their list of 17 are preserved with the "corovin" system that keeps air out, so they are never "corked". We focussed on their list of 11 crafted $13-$22 cocktails plus 5 non-alcoholic ones, all made with quality ingredients, each naming the staff member(s) (and guests) who formulated the recipe! We found Alex's $16 Fernetinez sublimely sweet: of bitter fernet amaro, Frederick-based locally-sourced award-winning McClintock One Last Time gin (exclusive for 18th&21st), smooth Luxardo liqueur, and a sweet vermouth. We loved the aroma and flavor of the classic Smoked Old Fashioned of bourbon from Kentucky's 10th-oldest distillery, Green River, moved to a mild well-rounded sweetness by brown sugar simple syrup, smoked in front of me by Mike (if i remember), with added richness from smoky bitters. They have a creative menu of $30 to $65 entrees, plus salads, small plates, apps, and sides, and they have a changing menu of small plates. We really hadn't planned on eating, but we couldn't resist. The $17 duck bao buns had thin tender filets with a sweet lightly-salty apricot-soy glaze and a tangy crunchy pickled cucumber slaw on a soft folded yeasted slightly-sweet white-flour bun. The $12 pair of fried fresh-tasting oysters were sweet and juicy with a light-flavored crunchy crust. They were so yummy, and easy to enjoy with our cocktails. Rodney Kelly's jazz band was excellent, playing with spirit, joking with each other and the audience, even staging a song or two with a skilled member of the restaurant staff. Afterwards we had brief moments with some of the band members, like an intimate jazz club. Later in the evening, i also had a Turkish Sunset, a Manhattan-variation created in a collaboration among the staff and a guest (Well-done Ozzie!). I love Elijah Craig, and wanted to try their dry toasted rye, with housemade allspice dram syrup, Small Hands grenadine, and bitters. By now, i felt very much at home with the staff, and when i learned that one of them had helped formulate this beverage, i confided that its amazing complexity was, for me, just a touch too dry. Alex (if i remember) considered the ingredients and the target flavors, and added just a touch of a sweet lemony liqueur, perfectly complimenting the recipe's flavors! Real-time crafting goes above and beyond, Thank you! (And when they next update the menu, maybe they'll have a custom option named for me :-)
