Serious food safety issue We ordered from BurgerFi Columbia, MD tonight (6/1) and when we got home, one of the burgers had visible bite marks -- it had clearly been partially eaten before being given to us. Another burger showed signs of previously having cheese on it despite being ordered without. This is not a wrong order or missing topping. This is a food safety violation. The Only Review You Need To Read I've passed this place many times, yet had never gone in to check it out. Today, that changed. First, I need to point this out: two burgers, one large order of fries, two regular sized fountain drinks: $42. . Now, to be fair, they give you a tipping option when you place your order, and I have an issue with tipping before service has even been rendered, but I went ahead and added a 15% tip on there. The burger looked great, but the patty tasted pretty blah. Just nothing there - no distinctive taste nor flavor. I will say the fries were really good; sort of like Five Guys or Thrasher's (if you live in the DelMarVa region), so that explains the two star rating. But I've got a Shake Shack right across the street from me, and because there's no In-N-Out on the East Coast (for now...), I already have a spot where I can get a delicious cheeseburger, so I have no reason to return to BurgerFi. Good but expensive. Reminds me a little of 5 Guys. The standard burger comes with two patties but you can get a junior with just one patty for a little bit less. I have driven by plenty of times but never gave them a try until this day. When I came in during the evening hours it wasn't crowded at all. There was no long to order and only a few people dining in. Inside was very clean and orderly. The lady behind the counter was nice and friendly. She took my order and gave me one of those little table stands with my order number on it. After a few minutes my order was ready and I took it to go. Burger was cooked well done. They didn't ask how I would like it prepared so I assume everything will be well done. I had the ultimate bacon cheeseburger. Seemed pretty standard with two pieces of bacon to burger patties and two slices of cheese. It didn't come with any condiments but I had my own at home. The fries were a little flimsy and soft. Not well seasoned at all either. Total process with a burger and regular fries ran almost 20 dollars. Burger was good enough to get again but the fries I would skip in the future. summary: was impressed by the quality of food given some of the criticism that I saw in some of the other reviews. The burgers here kind of remind me of an elevated version of a fast-food style burger (not in a bad way). The prices are on the higher side, but I still thought the food was yummy. I ordered at a self-service kiosk and it was pretty straightforward to use. The service was nice as well. If you aren't too tech-savvy, the staff was more than happy to provide a helping hand. Disclaimer: when I went, we were pretty much the only customers there, but I don't think this place gets very busy because they sit between CAVA and Chipotle which takes most of the foot traffic. I ordered the rodeo bbq burger, a kids cheeseburger with bacon, and an order of onion rings + fries. The kids burger ended up being pretty much the cost of the adult burger after adding bacon (~$12). The food came out looking great. Everything was packaged really well and everything felt fresh and well-cooked. There aren't any options to customize the cook of your burger patties, but the patties are pretty thin and flirting in the realm of a smash-style patty (to be clear though, it's not smashed). The burgers themselves were great, but the sides weren't too impressive. The fries were kind of mushy/flimsy and the onion rings were a bit underdone on the inside for my taste. overall: I would recommend for a solid burger in the area. I would say BurgerFi ranks on the higher end for burgers in the area. Burger Fi was a last minute, change of plan decision because Red Robin was mysteriously closed. I needed a burger fix at this point and Burger Fi was closest. Burger Fi itself is surprisingly spacious, with the checkout counter and kitchen taking about 1/3 of the space, tables, chairs, fountain drink station, and bathroom the rest. I placed an order for a single Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger, and had access to my coworker's fries. Checkout was easy. I was given a number on a stick, chose a table, then I wandered to the drink station. My food came out shortly thereafter and I was...pretty underwhelmed with my burger. The single patty was tiny, didn't remotely span the length of the bun. And it was missing lettuce and tomato...that never came up with the cashier so I assumed those items would just come with my burger. I put ketchup on the burger and hoped for the best. It tasted ok, the bacon was excellent, but it wasn't filling, especially at $9. The fries were good. The staff, however, I would give three stars, which is why they got a four star average. Guy that was taking our order at the counter was very pushy about making sure we gave a tip for him to just take our order. He actually huffed when I only gave a 10% tip for him just taking our order. There is no table service or anything else with the exception of him literally putting our order in the machine and walking away. This used to be my favorite restaurant. I would regularly go to the Columbia and White Marsh locations. I loved the Waygu burger as well as the hot dog, but the past 3 times i've been over the past few months was severely underwhelming, the quality of the fries is the biggest issue, They must have switched brands or something but now the fries taste like imitation potatoes and saw dust. After years of passing this place I finally visited. Five Guys sets the bar for fast casual expensive burger joints, and Burger Fi just isn't quite on the same level. The burger itself was great. It was juicy, flavorful and the burger fi sauce was an interesting addition. It's sweet but not quite the same as the thousand island dressing used on the Big Mac. The fries were hot but limp. The flavor was good but the portion size simply can't compete with 5 Guys. The 100 combo Coke machine seems standard everywhere, and it was welcomed here. Perhaps the biggest issue is the cost. Is it burgerfi as in "fie" or "fee" ? This is a place that does fast food style burgers think shake shack, 5 guys, smashburger etc. Its less greasy than 5 guys, so has that going for it. Otherwise - it's a pretty standard burger place of the type. One neat thing they do - if you order a grilled cheese, they do it inside out - with the insides of the bun getting toasted. Kind of neat hack to avoid stocking two types of bread. Fries were definitely better than average. Went here for a quick bite yesterday and was overall disappointed. First, the wait times are incredibly long. I ordered a single hotdog with toppings and it took over 25-30 minutes, and there were probably 2-3 orders ahead of me (the place was not very busy). The hot dog in itself was very average and priced at $6-7. In my opinion, a Costco hotdog tastes the same if not better (for the price of $1.50!). It's been several years since my last visit. While the place gives the vibe of being a cool, upbeat place to eat, the lack of customers (at 5:00 p.m. dinnertime) and the sourness of the cashier worked against the place. The cashier was ignoring us, so we ordered using the kiosk. It was overly complicated, including up-selling. Of course, I was prompted to leave a tip even before interacting with a single employee. The wait for food was an average length. When the cashier brought the food to our table (with no attempt to smile or interact), I pointed out that my daughter didn't get her shake. He mumbled something like, "OK, I'll get it" but so low and grouchy that we couldn't be sure. After taking care of several to-go orders, the cashier made the shake and plopped it down in front of us. No "Enjoy!" or "How's your food so far?" It must be a pretty miserable place to work, or their employees have no training and no oversight. Again, I got a Beyond Burger, which was $11.99 (with no sides). As with my prior visit, the burger was small and insubstantial. There is no wow factor at all. The fries looked overcooked and were only pretty good. Most other places, including Five Guys, do fries a lot better and they certainly give you a ton more. I went to BurgerFi twice over the past few months. Here are my thoughts: I don't eat beef so I got the VegeFi (veggie) burger - it was decent. The sauce was good, but the burger as a whole was "okay", nothing to write home about, a little pricey for what it was. My family members got the beef burgers and they felt they were very tasty and appreciated the concept of antibiotic-free, growth-hormone free beef. I have mixed feelings on the fries. The first time we had them I thought they were amazing - perfectly fresh, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, with that peanut oil taste - just like boardwalk fries. The second time they were a little soggy/greasy, but my brother said he saw them pull them straight out of the fryer both times and that they always serve them fresh. We got cheese sauce to go with the fries and I thought it was gross - like not even nacho cheese (which is what I expected for cheese fries) - but more like a tasteless orange slurry. Will never get that again. On the whole, BurgerFi is OK, but I don't feel the need to rush back anytime soon. The next time I'm craving a vegetarian burger, I'll probably go to Shake Shack. :\ read more

I got the Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger and the Cry and Fry which is a combination of fries and onion rings. The cashier asked me if I would like to add anything to my burger because it's literally just cheese and bacon on my burger and I declined. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed in the food. I like crunchy fries and theirs were flimsy and soft. The batter on the onion rings didn't have much flavor. The burger left more to be desired. I paid pretty close to $20 for this food so I was not a happy camper. As for burgers, maybe I need to try something different on the menu. I would like to try their custard and concretes though. Came in to eat around 8PM on a Tuesday and the meal was quite good. Had no issues with staff or anything else I read on here. We ended up getting: -SWAG Burger ($11.97) Solid burger. Supposedly Wagyu meat with charred jalapeños, candied ghost pepper bacon, sweet tomato relish, habanero jack cheese, and hot steak sauce. Not overly spicy and flavorful with the toppings they chose for this limited time burger. Not sure I tasted every component. -BFi Cheeseburger ($8.37) Solid cheeseburger. Perhaps a little pricey to some for what it is, but definitely on par with Five Guys. -Large Onion Rings ($6.47) Massive amount of onion rings. Was hard to finish them all, but for the price, it should have been. Nice flaky shell with a little bit-o-flavor. -Caramel Fudge Concrete ($3.27) Expensive compared to say a McFlurry, but was worth the splurge once. Was actually rather good otherwise.
