Five Guys is my personal favorite east coast burger fix. It's consistently good and this place is no exception! I ordered in-store pickup from Google Maps that was effortless. I ordered the little bacon burger (on accident; meant to order little bacon "cheeseburger") w/ little bit of ketchup, little bit of mayo, grilled onions and tomatoes. Even though I forgot the cheese -- it was still a delicious burger! Also, enjoyed the little fries. It's amazing how the employee dumped more fries into the bag for extra fries goodness! I make my way to a Five Guys about every five years. I will give the brand credit for the consistency of the product over the years and throughout the region. But the fact of the matter is the burgers are just okay. They aren't bad, they aren't great. Five Guys is nothing more than a glorified McDonald's at the twice the price. They even present you your order in a brown paper bag. Okay, for FG burgers are hand formed, never frozen (so perhaps less unhealthy), blah blah blah. But it's all about taste when discussing the icons bacon cheeseburger. Decide for yourself if you dare, but I say it's just okay. A bacon cheeseburger, fries, and self-serve soft drink will run $20-25 (1700-2000 calories). For less money, you can go to Red Robin for a burger with unlimited fries and table service. (If you follow my reviews, you see that I am not a huge fan of RR, but I would still go to RR over FG) Peanut allergy alert. They use peanut oil to make their fries. read more

A long time ago I didn't care for Five Guys. Then my husband convinced me about two yrs ago to try it again then I was hooked. I love that they are generous by offering 15 types of toppings for free. They also offer free dry roasted salted peanuts. The walls are adorned by various awards for best burgers, fries, and milkshakes. I love their fries. It's cooked in peanut oil and just yummy. Better flavored than other fries. Burgers are juicy too. I would vote for them for best burger and fries too but I have not tried their milkshakes. The only downside is the shopping center gets crowded and is a pain waiting to get out during peak times. read more

8/9/23 7pm - The staff are doing an amazing job. I was really impressed with the way they worked together to greet guests - make the orders with care - and keep the place looking great. I noticed that everyone behind the counter is working to help the others. They also were having fun. As soon as the guest were served - they jumped into their cleaning - stocking - organizing routines. One employee immediately came into the dining room to take care of the tables and condiment center. As soon as a guest came to the counter - someone jumped to serve them. BRAVO to the people that cultivated and maintain this culture / work ethic. It doesn't just magically happen. Bonus: the food was great! read more

This location is excellent too very clean the counter was excellent and they have plenty of free parking in the lot. A burger connoisseur. I've tried Fatburger, Cheeburger Cheeburger, BGR, Fudruckers, Smashburger, Caliburger, etc. My favorite by far is here. Real meat that's perfectly seasoned. The bun is delicious I have noticed that the patties have shrunk in size over the years. I do appreciate that they now serve milkshakes at select locations. I also like the self serve fountain drink machine they offer that allows for flavor shots. They aren't the best with ensuring all flavor are available, but no one is perfect I guess. Suggestion: I'd love a chili & queso option for the fries and if they'd grill the jalapeño. Now, this is a busy location so, the dining area gets neglected. Suggestion: It would be nice if they had wipes for such times so we could clean a table off ourselves. Parking in this shopping center isn't the best as it's a highly trafficked area, so good luck finding a close spot. read more

The young men who work in the restaurant are the best. Tonight, the 2 ladies that worked there tried to give me cold fries....for the second time. They put old fries in the cup when I place the order and just let them sit there while they make the 2 burgers. For $33.67, I would like my fries made to order like the 2 people who came in after me. It does not help that they were both white and I am black. I spoke up tonight and said I would wait for hot fries and they gave me 2...no apology...like I am the problem. For the WORST HAMBURGER YET FOUND, without going down a list, let's start at the top. There really are no runners up. FIVE GUYS WINS. Why? First, they REFUSE to cook the meat other than burned dry. It almost crumbles in your mouth. And since such cooking eliminates almost all flavor, I hesitate to suggest it is even meat. We understand why they do that. They likely store whatever the stuff is in the walk-in till it begins to turn blue. Just guessing. Now, if you get a bacon burger you get burned bacon adding bitter insult to an already injuring experience. Ah, but add cheese. ONE CHOICE. Not Cheese. American Cheese, that tasteless slime made by non-dairy processes no one wants to talk about, or smell. Add lettuce or other veggies and they will have been thrown at the heap of desiccated meats from several feet away, but some will stick inside the burger. Fries...well, they are not burgers, but since you may be fool enough to order them, let me comment. These are mildly cool, over-spiced, and limp with old grease. Think oily, almost-cooked Cajun worms. We don't talk about service, because there isn't any. You will probably find a teenager running the order station rattling out words, phrases, names, and choices in a language you will not understand no matter how many actual tongues you speak. Often compared to In-N-Out Burgers, I think the comparison is unfounded. INO has skimpy burgers with few variations, and weird toppings on the fries. FG has no freezer and no microwave, substantial real burgers with a thorough collection of burger toppings. They also have peanuts. Indeed INO and FG share the "no freezer all fresh made in house" approach, and sadly they are praised for this, even though it should be the standard. We had fun in California eating at INO, but the Five Guys approach is far more robust. I enjoy the hot dog occasionally, and that is what I had today. I had my perfect combination of toppings, and a little fries. The fries seemed slightly limp, and I would prefer them cooked a bit longer, which is a plus for INO, as one can request crisper fries. Now, why I really wanted to stop by today was the drink replicator. Unfortunately, no matter how many times I said "earl grey" and "hot" the machine would not respond. Anyway, I even had to push buttons for the sugar-free root beer (not available anywhere without a replicator). I really should praise Five Guys more for having this first generation food replicator. Always the best place to meet a burger craving, the little bacon cheeseburger with grilled mushrooms and jalapeño peppers and mayo is my regular. Don't just get the cajun fries but get a regular order of fries and request a sample container of cajun spice. Dip your fries in it and sprinkle some on your burger. While waiting for your order enjoy some roasted peanuts! Only negative about this location is that overhead music is often a bit too loud for decent conversation. read more

As a fan of Five Guys, this one stood out as a good example of what you should expect from the restaurant. The restaurant looked and felt new, and I was surprised that it wasn't listed on Yelp already, because it looked very clean and well run. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and as usual, the workers seemed to have a cheery disposition as they were going through their routine. My wife and I ordered burgers, of course, and found our seat along with a sizable number of people for a weekday night. The food came out not too long after our ordering and everything was great. The fries especially were very well salted and seasoned. We will definitely go back to this Five Guys when we are in the Dobbin Road area. The one caveat is that the place is actually a little small in terms of seating, so I imagine if it was really busy you would have a problem finding a seat sometimes. read more

Your standard Five Guys. This one was the biggest location i've seen--tons of indoor AND outdoor seating (with umbrellas) SERVICE Service was nothing extraordinary but definitely not terrible. Cashier took our orders quickly so we didn't have to wait around, food came out in a timely manner considering everything's cooked to order. FOOD Came with a few friends after a game so we all ordered Little Cheeseburgers and shared an order of Large Fries. Ugh it's been so long since I've had FG that it was so nostalgic and amazing. Meat was perfectly cooked and there were a good amount of toppings, but I wish the cheese had more time to melt on the patty. I forgot how pricey the burgers can be at FG but honestly, it was pretty worth it. Fries were also fresh and had the perfect amount of seasoning. Can never go wrong with FG fries!! Can't forget that side of ketchup and vinegar for the fries! I don't normally visit this location, and now I have many reasons not to come back. All of the tables and floor in the dining area were filthy. The trash cans were so full they were stuck open, and the condiments area by the soda machines was ravaged. The employee who took my family's order (which was not complicated) was severly distracted and had me repeat everything three or four times. It took almost 30 minutes for our food to be ready and we were the only customers. At least when our food was ready, it was good. This Five Guys like all other Five Guys used to be great. However this one now hires much younger staff and apparently doesn't train them like they used to. They used to call your name when you came in the door and had people singing and dancing in the back while cooking and somehow always kept line moving and delivered quality product. Now the people working there are either rude or indifferent. I've never had to wait at a vacant cash register at a Five Guys before but I did this time. No one seemed interested, there were plenty of people behind the counter. I usually get a little fry because they dump so many in the bag that that is more than enough. This time I was planning on sharing them with my wife so I ordered a regular. What I got was a less than the usual little order. It seems like they didn't put any in the bag at all which is Five Guys signature move. Just disappointed to see a place that I really used to enjoy take this kind of turn. I also saw a customer request light salt on his fries and the person working the fryer told him he should've asked sooner at the register and gave him the already salty fries. Every time we go here we regret it. They never get our order right, we always have to go back if only to get a refund because they can't process a refund over the phone. If you must go here, CHECK YOUR ORDER before you leave the store. Last time they forgot a sandwich and a fry even though it was on the ticket. This time they gave us single patty burgers even though on the ticket it says FOUR PATTIES in huge letters. They constantly mess up both taking the order and preparing it. On top of that the food itself is inferior to other locations. All that plus the horrible parking at this location make it so not worth it. Skip it or go to another location. Not sure what happened here or when or why but trust me Five Guys has run its course...at least in Columbia's Dobbin Road eatery. First the food was late...very late. I'm still puzzled since they had two or three cooks going around in circles doing everything but cooking. Second the normally soft bun was anything but. Third why have head coverings when the cook's hair is hanging past his shoulders. Fourth the fries were limp and barely warm. Fifth with all those confused cooks couldn't someone, anyone wipe the tables, clean up the ketchup spills, empty the overstuffed garbage cans. Today was a first. I disposed of a regular order of Fries from Five Guys. An hour ago I would've scoffed at the idea. Who'd ever throw away Five Guys Fries? I did. They deserved it. Those potatoes were not French Fried. Rather, they were French Boiled. No crispiness at all. None! They looked like Five Guys Fries, except for a uniform tan color. While in Columbia today ... I thought to myself, "Self, today's a day for Five Guys Fries." My Order Number was 79. I paid at 6:19:41 PM, today, 4/17/2019 . Not eight minutes after paying for my 'food' I was back at work. Proud to have resisted the temptation to eat any en route. I tried the first fry at my desk. What a let down! Absolutely awful. My coworker told me to check this place out if I was ever on the mainland. He said he preferred it over In-N-Out. Since there was one location near our hotel, we decided to try it one night. Plenty of parking at this location because it is next to a Walmart. We came around 7:30pm and there was no one in line. The walls were decorated with magazine articles and quotes from reviews like "the best $5 burger a man can eat". In the middle of the restaurant are peanuts that you can take at your leisure. I ordered the regular size hamburger with lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions and bbq sauce. The regular size burgers come with two patties. There is also a little size, which I assume is just one patty. All toppings in the burger are free. In addition to the hamburger, I ordered a regular size fries. While the burger was indeed good, I still prefer the taste of In-N-Out. The same goes for the fries. The portion size of the regular fries was very generous. I couldn't finish them all. Bacon cheese dog was wayyyy salty, and I supposedly have dull taste buds from all that smoking in the past! Cajun fries were OK. Until I started dipping them in that vinegar based sauce and they were great! You could have like a million different combinations when it comes to toppings, but they dont have guacamole. I always dig the fancy computerized Coke fountain, 'cause Cherry Vanilla Coke Zero should just be a thing that exists anyway. I wish the burgers had more flavor - just a little more seasoning, even if you can stack 'em up with toppings and then some. If they'd cook to order and sear up the patties like the Burger Bros. guys in Towson, I'd be all about Five Guys. I also have to admit that, having not been there in a while, I was unaware that what used to be the Double Burger is now just the "Burger". If you want a more reasonably sized single and want to postpone your inevitable angiogram, you have to order the "Little Burger". This place is pretty good. I have been to other Five Guys before and this one is pretty standard. The thing that might seperate it from others is the customer service and the ridiculous amount of drink options. The workers there are cheery and happy to take your order. They are alos very fast and are not shy with the fries. The drink machine is a thing of beauty. It is one of those Coca Cola machines that lets you mix all sorts of flavors. It is actually falvor overload but it is nice to make a strawberry Sprite! Burgers and fries are really good, and certainly fill you up. I love coming here to get my burger and fry fix. read more

Craving Curiosity in Columbia. That was the theme on a calm-weathered Saturday afternoon. Up until this point, I had only been to Five Guys one time (located in Parkville, MD). I would go around to many places in the state, and there would be a Five Guys staring me in the face every time. After many delays, it was time. Time to make my anticipated return back to FG. So, what did I order? A regular Cheeseburger with a side (I should say bag instead), of French Fries and a drink. So much for curiosity huh? Now, this Five Guys location is larger than the location in Parkville and has a more technologically-advanced drink dispenser for a wide variety of drink flavors. After about 25 minutes, a double pattied cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, and an abundant supply of fries were devoured with no remorse for eating etiquette. I left happy and nobody was hurt. Side note: employees were on point. What I mean is that food orders were flying out the kitchen and communication amongst them was fluent. Cooked when you order, can take maybe 5 minutes (or a little longer if they are super busy) and you can pick what toppings you want. It doesn't taste like a fast food burger either. I usually get a little cheeseburger & split the little fries since they ended up adding more to the bag and I'm satisfied at the end. A regular size is too much for me but if you're hungry & you can handle it, go for the bigger option. IMPORTANT!!! I believe fries are cooked in peanut oil so if you're allergic, ask!
