Smoky BLT QPC with a Kit Kat Bananna Split McFlurry

This is the first time in a while coming to the Dobbin Center McDonald's for dinner. The food was delicious and the service was descent. The Ambiance was lively for a Saturday night.

    Pretend you're food

There's something about Maryland's fear of adhering to grids and any other manifestations of parallel-and-perpendicular-line combos that really livens up fast food restaurants and makes me think of the haphazard nature of campsite arrangement. Just a few miles from another McDonald's (that I really like because it is nestled in the woods and feels like a campsite) is this McDonald's -- positioned in a wooded shopping center next to a Wendy's and a Chick-fil-A, all slightly off-alignment with each other in a way that reminds me of tents or cabins grouped together. It has an interesting layout inside too, with lots of booths and booth-table combos. If you're someone who loves sitting in a booth but frequently dines with someone who loves sitting in a chair (or vice verse) this is the McDonald's for you. You'll have tons of options. I personally like sitting in the two-person half-booth / one chair combos when I'm dining alone, because nobody in their right mind wants to sit in a chair when they could sit in a booth, so it's like I'm not even wasting a seat. There's also a little sun room play area which works much better as a sun room than play area. The only playground prop is literally a large Happy Meal box that kids are supposed to climb inside of. I don't know of any child who is like "I want to pretend I'm food, but if only I had a play area that could help me visualize it better" but whatever, I haven't used a McDonald's play area in years so I'm not the target audience. UPDATE: Bad news. They updated this McDonald's and took out the play area. No more life-sized happy meal box unfortunately. But the fact that they were planning on remodeling this location might explain why the staff seemed to have lost all interest in cleaning the place in the months leading up to it.

    Underdone hash brown
    Bruce K.

I do not like my hash browns underdone. And this one was so underdone that I very nearly brought it back to the counter. Instead, I decided that I didn't really need all that fat and extra calories. I binned it. The rest of my breakfast was good. The Egg White Delight was assembled properly and the Sausage Burrito was good. The crew needed some help. They were short by at least one behind the counter and another to tidy the condiments area.

    That was in happy meal!

They put some crap instead of toys in happy meal, crew must be stole all toys. My girl was so unhappy :(((

I waited longer because they were supposedly preparing my order with mustard. The worker even apologized for the mix up and my additional wait time. Background: Sooo, like I'm starving. Don't typically do McD's but hey my body should be able to tolerate the fish. Plus, I'm starving. My first choice is the chicken place next door BUT I'm already beyond my eat time and I already know I'd eat their delicious waffle fries and I absolutely would've gotten a small frozen lemonade although I already have my lemon and seltzer water with me. So to avoid alllll those delicious extra calories, I divert total disaster and set my taste buds on a McD fish with mustard and NOTHING else. Nope no small fry. No Coke. No frappe. No smoothie. I'll sip my home bought lemon and seltzer water mix. Y'all - YES - Y'ALL not you all or everyone or everybody - Y'ALL!!! Why did my long awaited for only meal of the day come WITHOUT MUSTARD!!! ‍‍ How! Why!?¿? It was on the screen. You all caught it at the window. You apologetically delivered it to me pretty much guaranteeing the mustard is on it. I really want to give them 1 star but I WAS starving. And if nothing else, it was fresh. Piping hot enough for me to take the picture before devouring. Oh and yes, I checked the bottom - no mustard there either, not a squirt. Hopefully everyone can appreciate my point here - when your taste buds are set and then BOOM!!! Total disappointment!

I will say it's pricey but I mean what do you expect for high-quality yummy desserts. The donuts filled with some type of seasonal filling is my fav! The drinks there are also worth trying. My favorite was the tiramisu ice coffee (I think that's what it's called). Onlyyyyy thing I would say is the seating, not much seating for the amount of people who go but nonetheless still great spot.

I enjoyed how fresh and cohesive the flavors were! There's also a variety of pastries offered. These are baked in their Columbia location and brought to Arundel Mills. I was intrigued by the variety of savory treats, some topped with cheese and beef, others with vegetables. I was also delighted to see macaroons, that looked pretty authentic. With all the solid options present, I landed in a pistachio donut! Now, I will say I had a bit higher expectations for the donut. The donut itself was delicious, but I would have appreciated more pistachio throughout the cream in the center or maybe even skipping out on the cream altogether. Overall I think it was certainly worth a try. The matcha, for sure, stole the show! I will be back to try another flavor of matcha and a savory pastry!

I came in today because there was a BOGO offer on handcrafted beverages and I couldn't place an order on the mobile app for the other two nearby locations that I frequent, but was able to at this location. I ordered an Iced Caffe Mocha for my hubby and a Blended Strawberry Creme Frappe. The app said it would take 5-7 minutes to prepare, however, it took longer. When I arrived my husband's drink was on the counter; however, it took a few minutes before mine was prepared which was surprising because they weren't that busy. I haven't had the Strawberry Creme before that I can remember and I absolutely loved it. It may just be one of my new favorite drinks! Some helpful info about this location: -drive-thru is available -designated drive-thru overflow parking -Mobile Order Pick-Up and DoorDash and UberEats -Personal Cups now available. I love this idea to go green! -Three patio tables available.

The menu is fairly consistent, with a few seasonal specials added throughout the year. The food is reliably prepared with fresh ingredients, and the presentation is usually appealing. One of the restaurant's most charming features is the large brick-enclosed fireplace in the center of the dining room. During our recent visit, it was still roaring despite the summer heat wave, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu offers several dependable favorites, and the bakery display case is always tempting, filled with an assortment of pastries and desserts. Fresh-baked breads are also available for purchase, though the more popular varieties often sell out as the day progresses. What keeps us coming back is the relaxed setting. They no longer served the once selectable bread sticks and replaced them with a dry croissant which has nothing to do with pests. Tip: pack your patience…read more I've been wanting to try Cafe Columbia since I heard they have the option to add ice cream to the crepe. Ice cream with crepes are one of my favorite type of crepes, and that's exactly what I ordered; a crepe with ice cream. I walked in and the cafe was bustling with people enjoying their meal, and the workers preparing meals. It was a full house, however, I was able to grab a table for two. French Toast Crepe: this simple yet tasty crepe fit the bill. It had cinnamon flavor with whipped cream and I opted for a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It didn't come with fruit which I will add next time (yes, there will be a next time). Belgium Waffle: another simple item yet the batter was better than I expected. It didn't come with toppings. It came with a lite dusting of powdered sugar and came with room temperature butter. Chai Latte: this was good on the first sip. It seemed watered down and I would have preferred more flavor. Then again, I'm not a regular drinker of chai latte, and my daughter seemed to enjoy it. So don't count this out. When we ordered the staff gave us a disclaimer the crepe would take about 25 minutes. I didn't mind at the time. It took longer than that; however, I could see the workers constantly working on preparing meals so it didn't bother me. We got the waffle about 25 minutes later so we decided to share both the waffle and crepe. The crepe came out about 20 minutes later. The cafe has a well thought out layout. It has tables on each side, a reading area, and an area with complimentary water next to the coffee/tea station. The little station has water, cups, sugar, napkins and creamer (not pictured because it was packed and constantly occupied). On the other side you'll find more tables, the restrooms, and an ostracized nook that had someone in there occupying the chairs for what seemed like quiet time. Customer service is good. Parking is free in a huge parking lot for the business building. The cafe is located at the front of a shared business building. The menu has a variety of waffles with and without fruit options; crepes made either savory or sweet; and coffee drink options. There is an ice cream bar for scoops of ice cream or milkshakes; and lastly some fruit cups. Overall, I enjoyed the cafe and plan to add it to my list of favorites.
