    AM Superfoods Bowl
    Erin S.

This used to be a less favorable first watch to visit but they've really changed for the better! Back in 2021 they were understaffed and could not even handle the customers of Columbia. Now, they are efficient. I wanted a hearty yet healthy meal, so I ordered the am superfoods bowl and the decadent million dollar potatoes. This was my first time trying chia pudding and it was phenomenal! The crunch from the granola combined with fresh fruits was a party for my tastebuds. The flaky salt on the toast was the perfect addition to an otherwise average meal component. The million dollar potatoes were worth every penny if you ask me. I love the bacon and the Parmesan sauce. I was scraping the bowl by the end of my meal. Our server was also very friendly and gave informative answers to our questions about the seasons menu items. It was a ten out of ten experience!

Not an american brunch gal but finally went for the first time.. only to not get brunch. But delicious! Their menu is expansive and although nothing is extraordinary it feels like classic foods that everyone is sure to enjoy.

An hour wait if you go around 10:20am on a Sunday fyi however it was alright. The cocktail was my #1 favorite. The French toast was good but I've had better perhaps a different bread type or egg wash would of done the trick but it was a 5/10, the eggs was alright tasted like someone who's just learning how to cook stepping up their cooking made them 6/10, and the bacon was cooked to perfection 10/10. The potatoes my husband had can use a step up in seasoning and cooking time; they were a bit hard 3/10, his breakfast sandwich had house made sauce which was gross so the overall sandwich was a 3/10. The waitress was a little inattentive had to grab two other waiters for our bill, water, and syrup but she was still good when she came around. The place itself is small, the floors was slippery as hell, I almost slipped going to the bathroom so putting down some rugs on a rainy day may help and they didn't have a wet floor sign either.

Our server, Naomi, was amazing during my visit for brunch! The food was delicious, and my experience today was superb! It does get really busy on the weekends, but the wait time seemed reasonable. I will be back soon! :)

I got my order to go, so maybe eat in would have been better. The coffee was undrinkable because it had an absurd amount of cream and sugar in it. Biscuits with gravy were very meh. But the worst part was the potatoes, which were not cooked all the way. They were legitimately not edible and still had a raw "crunch" in the middle. Would not recommend.

I can barely complete this post! Usually the portion are so reasonable that I finish my entree at the table. This time I ate half and I am stuffed! It was very good. My daughter reserved on the so and I wait was just long enough to decide what to get. There is a nice long bench to wait on. It was a nice, cool sunny day and people were also dining outside. Oooo, I came today because I signed up for emails a year ago and was sent a BOGO. No regrets.

We came on a sunday around 10 without reservations (my mistake). but they said the wait was about 20-30 minutes which wasn't a problem. however after the 30 min mark and we didn't get an update on anything we asked how long the wait would be, they said it wouldnt be much longer and we asked if we could sit at the small shared table in the front (completely empty) and they said no. the hostess was a bit rude and short with us. come around 15 mins later they placed 2 other groups that came after us on the shared seating area!!! we were getting really annoyed but since we waited so long already we decided to wait out another 5 minutes which then we were finally seated. the food was pretty good and the actual service was fast. the coffee here was too sweet though.

Had a great meal here! It was busy on a Friday morning but we got sat right away. Our server was excellent. I ordered the biscuits and turkey sausage with gravy and fried eggs. I also ordered a side of cheesy grits which were very yummy. Cozy inside the restaurant not very big and it was packed.

Came here because this is one of the few places open to meet in the morning. The food is on par with other locations I've been to of theirs. The eggs benedict came pretty undercooked and the hollandaise sauce was watery and not very tasty. -the hot chocolate was solid

They've definitely upped the front of the house. I love sitting outside with my dog for breakfast here. Staff is nice. Food is solid. Love the seasonal menu. Yay for pumpkin donuts! Definitely better than before. I appreciate the improvements they've made in service

The food at First Watch is delicious! It was my first time at a First Watch but i love thst they offer so much variety. The service was great even while it was so busy. The ambiance is a nice bright and colorful cafe vibe. I love the huge portions and the love they put into each meal. The Belgian waffle was crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The berry compote was so delicious.

Busy on weekends, book in advance online to avoid long waits I have been to First Watch in Laurel and this is my 1st time at this location. Friendly & helpful staff The food was just as good as the Laurel location. What ever they are doing continue to keep up the good job. Tip: you pay on the way out and complimentary coffee at entrance

The menu offers a nice balance between curated bowls and build-your-own options, and everything on display looked vibrant and genuinely fresh. Even the subtle aroma of garlic in the air set the tone in the best way. I don't usually go for chicken (I cook enough of it at home), but being from Hawaii, there was no way I was passing up on their limited-time Huli Huli chicken. For those unfamiliar, traditional Huli Huli chicken is typically bone-in, skin-on, soaked in a brine, marinated with a blend of soy sauce, ginger, brown sugar, garlic, and pineapple juice maybe rice vinegar or ketchup, it's all left to the cook. Basted several times as the meat is flipped until fully cooked. Back home, you don't just eat it--you experience it. You smell it long before you see it--grilling on those iconic half oil drum kettles along the roadside, often set up for fundraisers or local gatherings. The sight of chicken quarters being flipped ("huli" means "turn") and basted over open flames is pure island nostalgia. So yes, expectations were high. I was offered a sample, and it delivered. The flavor balance was spot on--savory, slightly sweet, and deeply satisfying. The chicken itself was moist and tender. The only thing missing was that classic crispy, charred skin and the full leg quarter presentation you'd find back home--but even so, it didn't disappoint and left me wanting more. My bowl came together beautifully with coconut sweet potato sauce, fresh spinach, garlicky cilantro green beans, and basmati rice. It was flavorful, well-balanced, and delicious. Service was another highlight--the staff was friendly, patient and helpful with recommendations. The space itself is not large to eat in but it was clean, bright with ocean-toned blues that nod to its island inspiration. I'll definitely be back--especially while that Huli Huli chicken is still on the menu.

Brunch at Elliott's Craft Kitchen: A Promising Start With a Few Missed Beats…read more.. I recently visited Elliott's Craft Kitchen a fairly new spot that my group of four decided to try out for brunch. We were hoping for a fresh experience, but our visit turned out to be a mixed bag. Ambiance and First Impressions... When we arrived, the restaurant was surprisingly empty, which was a bit of a head-scratcher for brunch time. Even though we could hear staff chatting in the back, it took a good five to eight minutes before anyone came out to seat us. Once we were seated, we noticed the lighting was so dim that we actually had to whip out our phones just to read the menu. Not exactly the cozy brunch vibe we were hoping for. The Food: Hits and Misses... On to the food. We started with the cream of crab soup, which was just okay--nothing to write home about. The Brussels sprouts were a bit of a letdown. They were tiny and mostly just fried leaves rather than the hearty sprouts we expected. So if you're imagining those classic roasted Brussels sprouts, this wasn't it. The chicken and waffles were decent in flavor, although the presentation could have used some polish. The pita bread for the crab dip could have been toasted or something more firm and doesn't taste like it was immediately pulled from a bag. Surprisingly, the star of the meal ended up being something as simple as the French fries. They were really tasty and stood out more than some of the fancier dishes. Service and the Final Stretch... Our server was kind and polite, which we appreciated. But the big hiccup came at the end. Their payment system went down, and we ended up waiting over 30 minutes just to settle the bill. After sitting for about 15 minutes we informed our server that we would like to wait in the lounge area to get more comfortable as I understand.... things happen. Although while we waited for about 20 minutes there were no offers of water or anything to make the wait less awkward (not to mention asking for payment without even presenting a bill). It felt like they were more focused on turning the table than making sure we were okay during the delay. Although maybe it was an awkward start to the morning. I will say our server did her best to work things out with the technology she was given. So, I still provided her a fair tip, not her fault. Value for Money... In terms of pricing, it felt pretty average overall, but there were a few eyebrow-raisers. For instance, the avocado toasted croissant--topped with over-easy eggs, baby spinach, and Grana Padano--was $19, which felt a bit steep for what it was. In comparison, a pork schnitzel dish was around $21. So, while the pricing wasn't outrageous, some items definitely made me pause and question the value. Overall Thoughts... In the end, my experience at Elliott's Craft Kitchen was a bit of a letdown. So I'm surprised by some of the reviews (maybe because it was not dinner). While there were a few highlights (like the fries and a well-made Old Fashioned), the service hiccups and the underwhelming dishes mean I'd probably think twice before going back. Definitely not for brunch but I would really consider Dinner after some more reviews. Hopefully they'll iron out the kinks as they get more established.

It turned out there is a large, free, public parking lot less than half a block from the restaurant. Our reservations were for 3:00 which worked out perfectly. We missed the buffet crowd before us and the dinner crowd after. We checked in at the front desk and were lead to our booth, which was tucked away in a corner and so cozy and comfortable. Our waitress, Lori, came by to check on us and to see if we needed anything. She was wonderful our whole dining experience. The rest of our party soon arrived and we ordered drinks and some appetizers. When our granddaughter, Ashley, ordered an alcoholic drink our waitress carded her. While checking the ID the waitress' face lit up and she smiled as she realized it was a few days past Ashley's 21st birthday. For appetizers we ordered fried green tomatoes, fried lobster bites, and duck oil fries. It wasn't long before every bit of the appetizers were eaten. For our meals I ordered crab soup and an entree salad, Our daughter ordered onion soup and a hamburger. For the rest of our party there was another hamburgers ordered, a crab cake, a seafood dish, and a fried chicken sandwich. One down side to the meal was my crab soup was awful. It tasted like tomato juice with frozen vegetables and some crabmeat. (Awful crab soup? This is Maryland, it should be better than that.) I passed it down to Richard. My salad was very good, nothing outstanding, but fresh enough and quite generous. Everyone else was totally enjoying their food. Ashley only ate about half of her seafood stew, but since she had eaten over half of the lobster bites, that was not surprising. For dessert daughter ordered cheese cake to carryout. Ashley ordered some fancy piece of cake. Of course it came with Happy Birthday written in frosting across the bottom of dish. We had had requested not a big birthday fuss so that was perfect. All in all it was a nice birthday lunch. I think arriving mid day, having Lori for our waitress, and everyone if good spirits made it perfect. I would definitely be happy to go back again, especially if we could get a cozy booth with Lori as our waitress.

Save your money. Warning the review is long. TLDR: service is so bad and so expensive for shitty quality food. Though their coffee and sangria were delicious. We were seated promptly and while waiting for the rest of my family arrived the waiter brought us water. He claimed the appetizers were good for sharing so I was expecting the portions to be good. Our party was 8 adults and 2 kids. We got 4 appetizers and it's good we got 4 of them because had we gotten 1 or 2, literally everyone would get like 1/2-1/4 piece of appetizer. So not sure why he said the appetizer was good sharing size. Also I want to note these appetizers are not cheap. They were very expensive for the amount you get. You would think if you paid $20-$22 per app you would get more. Literally paying for an entree with significantly less food. Onto the food: The waiter claimed that the Lemongrass chicken was "juicy". We got two of these and it was SO SO DRY. The Mediterranean salad I got was so salty. And the mussels that I also ordered were disappointing. I want to say 60% of the mussels were closed. This indicates that these might have been undercooked, poor quality or simply did not get checked. The mussels were so salty as well. What really pissed me off is that my mom ordered the shrimp tacos. Nothing complicated about that right? Well they never came out. We find out that there was a mixup so they sent it to a different table and we're "working" on a new one. Tell me why almost two hours later they never came out till we asked for the check? Then they magically come out in a to-go container. Literally the sloppiest mess you can imagine. How is that acceptable? You're telling me it took 2 hours to make this pile of shit? And what's even more absurd is their own menu says it comes with fries. Well in that small ass container they did not include fries. I asked about this and they looked confused and said it should come with fries and that they would get it. I have never experience such ABYSMAL, ATROCIOUS service. Sure the waiters and front staff were nice but nice doesn't make up for the terrible service. Something is going on in the kitchen for sure. Why does it take 1 hour for appetizers to come out. And then 45 min after only 3 people's meals come out. In polite company you would wait for everyone's food to come out to begin eating, but idk what they were doing back there that there was such a delay. Once the 4 of us finished our meal well the 5 people's food comes out, they got an entire order wrong. Ordered a kids pepperoni pizza and they brought cheese. We told the waiter that this was wrong and literally 5 min after he brings what I can say is the SAME DAMN CHEESE PIZZA with pepperoni slices right on top and a bit of Parmesan cheese. We could tell it was the same pizza because the pepperoni were sitting right on top like someone just added it on. We complained to the manager and he brought a new pepperoni pizza that was good this time. We had to ask multiple times for condiments and water refills. I could give a little leeway if this restaurant was so busy but it was not busy at all. Our waiter kept peeking over at us and not coming over like he was scared. And if your service is gonna be this bad, at least the food should be good but no. You have terrible service and shitty food that you're paying $$$ for. And gratuity being included is laughable because the service provided was not worth an almost $80 tip. We had to get up and find the waiter to ask for the check and where the hell the shrimp tacos were. In the end they tried to comp only the pizza and the shrimp tacos, but that was unacceptable. They did comp the appetizers. But they tried to give us brunch vouchers but why the hell would we come back to this place that had terrible service?? Make it make sense. And now that I review the 1 star reviews, it is consistent with everything we experienced. Terrible service, missing food, and hunting down the staff. Also the owner responds to bad reviews with AI responses. Shame.

So this review is going to be short and sweet, but with one VERY important note. Those of you who…read moreread my reviews know I typically review either really good or really "not so good" restaurants. I'm breaking my own rules, because I feel the 3.9 rating is pretty accurate, with one 5 star + exception. This was a business lunch and a convenient location so there we were. The duck fries as an appetizer were good but needed to be seasoned with a little more salt. I had a strawberry salad with some grilled chicken that was good with the greens, but dry as the desert with the chicken and borderline inedible. Here's the twist!!! My two compadres both had the grilled cheese and lobster sandwich. They both looked at me sheepishly and said, you f ed up!!! William was kind enough to break off a substantial bite and let me try it. Angels sang, children wept, and I almost passed out! It was the kind of perfection we all agreed we would have eaten 5, maybe 6 of these unnaturally awesome sandwiches until we passed out! 3.5 Star service, 4 Star ambience, and some 10 Star bites! Cheers, JimG

Unique decor and menu gives Victoria the British gastropub atmosphere. There are private rooms that…read morecan be reserved if food purchase minimums are met which makes them great for gatherings such as graduation or birthday celebrations. The staff are nice, but service and the kitchen seemed a bit slow on a Sunday early afternoon towards the very end of brunch despite the area we were seated only had a few tables filled. The Crab Cake Eggs Benedict was nothing special - feeling like a flat, single-note dish.. Perhaps it was that the hollandaise sauce lacked the acidity (usually from lemon juice) to brighten the dish. Or, that the nod to Maryland - the Old Bay honey - drizzled around the edges of the dish wasn't enough to elevate it to something that is savored with each bite. The Fluffernutter Blondie is a good dessert choice if you love blondies and peanut butter. Although, it was a bit drier than I'd like, the texture was still soft.
