She ordered pancakes with bananas and eggs, bacon, and grits. I ordered a hot chocolate and the Pick 2 Combo which comes with a 1/2 sandwich (1/2 Double Cheese Pot Roast Dip) and cup of soup (Famous Sausage Chili) and two biscuits. I enjoyed my hot chocolate and sandwich, but found the biscuit to be dry and the chili to be just average. Our server was friendly and attentive. She saw my niece's beverage was low and asked if she wanted a refill. Prices are reasonable compared to other breakfast spots. Coming here feels like home away from home, mostly due to the memories made with family. This restaurant has comfy decor. The chair and booth cushions were replaced at the end of 2024, while maintaining the neutral color scheme. Our frequent visits helped me hone in on my preferences, fruit instead of potatoes and sweet tea. It is true that it's important to let make the hosts aware of seating preferences, which could add to wait time. I wouldn't choose this restaurant in a time crunch, they have a more relaxed vibe than fast food restaurants. Perhaps ordering ahead would help. read more

Although the Bob Evans menu has evolved over the years, there are still plenty of delicious options--you just have to get a little creative with your order. I recently had the steak tips and eggs with mushrooms and onions, added hollandaise sauce, swapped the hash browns for home fries, and topped it all with a bit of cheddar cheese, scallions, salt, and pepper. It was perfect. The biscuits remain just as good as ever. I love pairing them with strawberry or apple butter. My dad will even drive 20 minutes just to enjoy an omelet here! I've been visiting this location for over 20 years, and one thing I can say with confidence is that there's something for everyone. Personally, I prefer this spot over First Watch or you know where--and if you're thinking about giving it a try, I'd absolutely recommend it. While I usually opt for a more upscale dining experience, my three boys love them some Bob Evans. I have to say the service was fantastic. I loved being here!! The service was absolutely incredible! I've never been to a restaurant with such attentive and kind servers- especially ones that make such beautiful drinks :3 My server was a woman named Anita, but I got wonderful help from two other women named Samara and Brianna as well! They were all so kind with me and patient which I appreciated especially since I'm a bit indecisive and it took me a while to pick something to order. The food was good as well- I won't say flawless but considering how affordable everything is, I would overall give this experience a 10/10! Came here on my lunch break from work to have a nice affordable sit down meal. I made a poor decision. I had to make wait 10 minutes to even be sat at a table when there many empty tables. The waitress didn't even come see what I wanted to order for 20 minutes after that. That's 30 minutes in the restaurant before I even placed an order. With most workers only getting 30 minutes for lunch, you can see how the math doesn't math. As I ordered, I was told that the kitchen was backed up and it would take a while. Crazy how that statement wasn't a surprise. Edited to add my wait time for my food from the moment I placed my order: 40 minutes. 1 hr and 10 minutes from entering the restaurant to food being placed in front of me. The food was fine and standard for a Bob Evans. Nothing special, nothing horrible. Basically, as a restaurant, you need to understand what time it is and why people are coming at that particular time. If you work for a living, don't come here for lunch. Ridiculous. I was a bit hesitant to eat here as parking lot has looked pretty empty, but could be time of day. Never dined at a Bob Evan's. My experience was good. Order- My son had The original Farmer's choice which consist of shredded hash browns, pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. I'm glad I am not a bread eater, I would've been upset about that as well. Look at the photo. Their knives must not be sharp. The bread isn't even cut complete. Sad!!! Last, their website doesn't even have drinks. What restaurant doesn't provide drinks for their customers? Will I do it all over again? Heck no! I will stick to IHOP. Food home fries overcooked and cold. Service-manager is overseeing and extremely too involved in seating customers. Manager gives the most comfortable seating to his friends and tries to gives The hard seats to customers he is unfamiliar with. He is so overbearing to the point, the hostess at the front is not allowed to seat customers independently of the managers involvement. You have to speak up to get a comfortable seating here or find a way to be put on the managers buddy list. read more

My son ordered the hot holiday dinner for 6 for Christmas for our family. He ordered it 4 days ahead if time and when he got there to pickup it was not ready. When he finally got home got home the order was wrong. The order was supposed to be....turkey & ham , green beans, corn, rolls, dressing mash potatoes & gravy cranberry relish and pumpkin pie. He added Mac and cheese. There was no corn or Mac and cheese. There were 2 large deli containers of green beans and a large deli container of baby carrots that weren't even cooked! A large deli container of mash potatoes and the smallest container of gravy. The turkey and ham were the pressed kind and about 2 or 3 scoops of dressing. Remember this was supposed to feed 6 adults. My son did speak with the manager after being on hold for 30 minutes and she refunded half his money. To me that was not enough compensation. Our Christmas Eve dinner with family was ruined. The food was mediocre at best and my son had to go to the store and buy what we didn't receive. Never again will we go to or order from Bob Evans. I've always enjoyed breakfast at Bob Evans and this location was no exception. The omelets were perfectly done. I especially like their sausage links. I saw that they offered banana bread as a bread option so thought I'd give it a try. It was dense and moist but lacked much banana flavor. The service was excellent. Definitely what I expect from a Bob Evans experience- good home country breakfast and savory meal options. Healthy? Not even close. Well priced and hot? Absolutely. We came in a lunch rush and it moved fairly well. They are distancing and masks are consistent. It seemed they got a bit overloaded with online orders and in store orders maxing out at one point but quickly recovered. I can't say any particular spectacular thing about this location but I was very pleased with the service and consistency of the food. Hugely disappointing meal. I grew up with Bob Evans but no longer live in a state that has them. So when we saw one on this rainy evening in Columbia, Maryland...I wanted a breakfast for dinner. Big mistake. The biscuits were not fresh. The hash browns were hugely disappointing, they were not fresh and cam out almost as flat as a piece of thick paper. I asked the waitress about it and she said it was made earlier and sits on the grill and when it is ordered it was heated up to temperature. Hugely disappointing. If Gordon Ramsey would have been there he would have marched into the kitchen and shown the cook how disgusting it was. My waitress offered to get me another one but I said no. Why is the quality so poor for ordering breakfast for dinner. Why did the cook think this was acceptable? What protocols does this location guide their cooks on that they thought this was acceptable? Bob Evans is there; you just need to look a little hard, but there goes the GPS who will help you on finding your way to basic breakfast to start your day. Unfortunately, Bob Evans eliminated the crêpes and fried chicken, which I like the most. The only favorite food I often think about is the Banana Nut Loaf. Bob Evans has the best so far that I know. I'd never been to one of these and today was the day. Excited? Me neither! Anyway, I ordered brekkie to go with eggs over medium, hashbrowns extra crispy, biscuits, and bacon. The eggs were perfectly cooked although without any salt or pepper so have your own handy! The hashbrowns were slightly crisp but still quite mushy. The biscuits were great, pillowy, salty and doughy. Finally, the bacon was thick, crisp, and perfectly crunchy in a porky, bacony, salty, sweet way. BACON! BACON! BACON! We proceed to tell her that we would like to dine in and she tells us, "well we're going to close at 9 so.." We sit at a table due to my grandmothers back problems and she proceeds to tell us, "can you sit in the both we cannot serve you in this area." Just had carryout of Lemon Pepper Sole and 2 orders of carrots. I've never had the sole before, and the flavor was okay, but it was cut THIN, quite thin. The carrots, which are usually VERY good, buttery soft with this amazing glaze on them, fell way short. Tonight, no glaze and the carrots were only half-cooked, almost crunchy. If you can't HEAT something in a pan, you don't deserve to work in a kitchen or call yourself a cook. I hope this was an isolated experience, because I feel ripped off. Haven't had Bob's since my army days. You can't go wrong with their signature sausage on the menu. The staff is phenomenal. That hasn't changed. My server was Mr Elmer. He was, in a word, fantastic! And his co-worker, Ms Catherine, offered kind words to a weary traveler. Additionally, the lead Ms Lisa was very gracious to a fault. So let me start off by saying that the restaurant and its appearance is very clean and our waitress was very friendly to speak with. My wife and I recently stopped in for a late breakfast to Bob Evans where I ordered the biscuit sandwiches and she ordered an omelette. While waiting for our food order, it took about 20 minutes to receive our initial order of coffee and other drinks (the coffee was hot and very good). After about an hour or so of waiting, we finally received our order which appeared to have sat for quite some time. During that time, it was very hard to get refills of any coffee or other drinks until the very end of the meal. I will also preface by saying the restaurant was not packed inside at all. I normally like to highlight the great things about my experiences at different establishments, and I have been to this location before, but unfortunately I have to bring up the shortcomings in hopes that they revitalize the restaurant. The staff is great, the menu looks great, it's just the attentiveness to the tables and the turnaround time for your order that unfortunately constitutes a low rating. read more

When my daughter and I arrived at the restaurant we were told that there was a 10-15 minute wait which is all it was. However when we got to our table the server didn't come to get our drink order for 30 minutes so we decided to order our food at the same time. There was 2 tables seated after us and she stated that she wasn't sure which table was seated first, I let her know that it was ours, which it didn't seem to matter to her as she took all 3 tables order at once, before even getting our drinks. She was rude to us the moment she came up to our table because my 2 year old grandson was getting restless. I ordered first so when my daughter ordered blueberry pancakes with her order, I asked if she could switch mine to blueberry and she rudely stated, "but you ordered French Toast"!!. I'm not a Karen, in fact, I served to put myself through school so I have extra patience with a server who's busy but not with a server who is being rude. Then when all 3 tables food came up at the same time, she served the other two tables who came in 10 to 20 minutes after us respectively, before she served my tables food, (mind you, we were the only table with a restless 2 year old) which was cold by the time she got it to us. Then to top it all off she gave us the wrong check. While we had to sit there for another 20 minutes waiting for her to bring us our check, she finally came back with the same (wrong) check and said that she removed one of the drinks from that check to make it cheaper than our original check was because she gave our check to the table she served the food to first. I went wrong by not asking for the manager right then and there but by this time, I was at my wits end with a screaming 2 year old and I just wanted to get out of there after already being there for over 2 hours. I came for breakfast, and they made me breakfast... I'm not sure what anyone can expect from a chain, but the food was all cooked well, the place was clean, and the staff was super nice. It's nothing fusion, or edgy... it's just breakfast. Two eggs over easy, sausage, cheese grits, and dark toasted English muffins with extra butter. They nailed it... no complaints from me. The waitress was sweet, she gave me time to figure out what I wanted and busted out the food in no time flat... after a long flight to Baltimore, that is all I wanted. Just a good old fashioned breakfast. Add some of the butter to the grits with some salt, give it a good stir, and you are good as gold. If you are not looking to be blown away by fancy Avacado toast and funky options, I would recommend. If you are a foodie, stay away. The place is filled with geriatric folks just jonesing for a good breakfast. It is 100 times better than Dennys and tasted way less commercial. Surprisingly enough, I had one of the best breakfasts' I've had in a while, from this particular Bob Evans. We first stopped at La Madeleine's in Columbia, but it was literally full to capacity. I checked out my handy dandy Yelp App and noticed a Bob Evans was a few miles down the road. On a busy Saturday morning, during peak hours, we only had to wait for 10 minutes to be seated. SCORE! Our server was extremely friendly and was very attentive throughout our visit. We all ordered different dishes and everyone highly enjoyed their particular entrees. I forgot that Bob Evans served biscuits and oh happy day, because I am a GRADE A FOOL for biscuits!! Hot, buttery and fluffy! While we were eating, someone said, how come we never go to the Bob Evans near our houses? The answer is clear, the one located closest to us food isn't as good as this location. As a matter of fact, the whole vibe is different, compared to this location. Reasonably priced, fast and friendly service and most importantly, delicious filling food are all being served up at Bob Evans. This visit has made me a believer! My rating is based on our overall experiences here in the past. On our last visit, we did not have utensils on our table at the time our food was presented so I asked for some. The waitress left and proceeded to clear two tables before even moving towards the area of where they keep the utensils. My mom and I flew out here to Maryland from LA this morning to visit my sister For her birthday and my sister suggested that we come here, Bob Evans. we were greeted IMMEDIATELY by the assistant general manager, Kevin Langhorn, who was SUCH A SWEETHEART. He was SO friendly, courteous, funny and was so down to earth. Our waitress, I can't lie, I didn't catch her name however, she was very nice as well. The entire staff was very friendly to be perfectly honest. The food was fresh, hot and was served in a decent time.
