I visited over Mother's Day weekend knowing this restaurant uses a waitlist instead of reservations, so we added our name about two hours before arriving. Given the holiday crowds, I think they handled the chaos fairly well, and overall I'd rate the experience 3.5 out of 5 stars. We were originally quoted a wait of 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, but still waited another 45 to 50 minutes after arriving before being seated. It was a nice day, so waiting outside was not terrible, though some guests were clearly frustrated, especially walk ins who did not realize the waitlist was necessary on such a busy holiday. Once seated, service was friendly and gracious despite the pressure staff were under. It did take a while for us to get water at the table, which felt a little strange, and the food also took about 40 more minutes to arrive. That said, everything we ordered was delicious. The standout was definitely the cinnamon roll French toast, and the blueberry lavender lemonades were a huge hit at our table. My tostadas were ok but not the highlight of our table. My partner loved the chicken sandwich, and the beignet biscuits were also fluffy and good! Overall, the biggest issue was simply the length of the waits. I have been to busy holiday brunches before that moved a bit faster, and I think the quoted wait times should have been longer to better reflect reality. Still, I appreciated the staff's professionalism and was happy to support a Black owned business. I would absolutely come back on a non holiday weekend, especially for that cinnamon roll French toast again! The vibe is relaxed and feels cozy outside and in, so it feels like a good place to catch up with friends or family which worked well for the holiday brunch.

Always the go to when I'm in town! Great food and great service every time. Don't sleep on the cinnamon roll French toast!

I've been to Another Broken Egg Cafe plenty of times and the food is absolutely delicious! From their savory breakfast to their sweet dishes, I love all of it . My favorite of course is their pancakes! The service is amazing and very attentive. And the ambiance and the vibes is completely up my alley. If you've never tried this place, I recommend that you do because you're missing out!

I was super excited to see Another Broken Egg on the East Coast! The food was just as I remembered, and it was definitely busy for a Sunday morning around 10:30 AM. The wait was about 20 minutes, and the bar, booths, and tables were all full. Just a heads-up: there is a 2-hour seating limit, and the high-top booths are a little tight when squeezing in and out. That said, our waiter was attentive and quick to take our orders, which made the experience smooth despite how crowded it was. The French toast was amazing--definitely a standout. The salmon Benedict was also really good and full of flavor. The grits were just okay. I ordered the gouda grits with bacon, but it didn't seem like either ingredient was actually included since neither was recognizable in the dish. The Spring Hugo Spritz was light and refreshing and paired nicely with brunch. I'd definitely come back to try the lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes and some of their specialty coffee drinks!

summary: a solid brunch spot that offers a pretty standard suburban brunch experience and delivers. Another Broken Egg cafe offers a menu with seasonal specials and drinks and breakfast/brunch options that you'd expect to find at a suburban breakfast spot. I don't mean that as a ding. The prices on the menu feel like they're on the rather high side, but I think it's still on par with the other breakfast spots in the area. My only thing is that I would love to see a kids' menu of some sort. The food that did come out was tasty and well balanced. Service was nice and timely (went on a Friday a little before lunch time). They have outdoor patio seating although there's not too much to look at because it's located in a business park off of a pretty busy road. All in all, positive experience!

Visiting Maryland and decided to check Yelp for a review for a decent brunch spot and we came upon this location. It seemed like a chain but it didn't feel like it. We were seated quickly and attended to by our waiter. He answered our questions and recommended options for a couple of our pickiest eaters. As for me, the gluten-friendly pancakes were an awesome surprise! I enjoyed them as well as my traditional breakfast. The decor was light and airy and welcoming. We were glad to have gone.

I had a friend in town visiting and we were looking for a nice brunch, so we tried Another broken egg Cafe. The food was delicious. Wait time a bit long 45 mins to an hour but they text when your table ready. I love unlimited mimosas which they dont offer but you can get a pitcher. Our waiter wasn't the best. The music was nice. I had just seen Bruno Mars in concert the night before and loved hearing a few of his songs playing. Overall I would visit again.

With this being, like my 30th time coming to ABE I don't know how many more ways to compliment them. Having not visited for a while, the wife and I decided to stop by and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I got the biscuits and gravy, which were delicious and she got the cinnamon roll French toast which she enjoyed. We got a couple of bells and whistles - cheese grits, potatoes, and spiked drinks - maple bourbon coffee. Our food came out fairly quick, the service was really good and although it was crowded, the environment felt controlled, organized and pleasant.

I came here for a solo brunch before the snow came! I've been wanting to try this place for a while, just never got around to it. I initially got on their waitlist (which you can do via their website), but when I arrived there were a few empty seats at the bar, so I opted to sit there. The waiter was fast and efficient with taking everyone's orders. I ordered the apple fritters French toast breakfast with sausage, scrambled eggs with cheese, and an Irish coffee! The highlight of the meal was definitely the sausages and that coffee, so good! I'll be back for more, lol. The place was packed when I came, but it's a nice size and kind of gives a New Orleans/Southern vibe. The other customers were also really nice, I met two lovely ladies at the bar who were dining solo as well.

Crab Benedict I Cynivised it by adding the potato hash croquette instead of English muffins. The potatoes were undercooked in both croquettes. The crab was so old it smelled and was visibly grey. Yes I told the waitress the food was old. Not sure she heard me as no other options were offered and still charged me for the bad inedible food. The hollandaise tasted more like white gravy, just bland and flavorless. The grits Were decent cheesy grits. Bourbon Street Pancakes I'm not a fan of brown bananas they always have a distinct taste, Especially since this an easy kitchen fix. The pancakes tasted like box mix. I had heard such good things about this place and was very disappointed that this was my experience. While it didn't feed my soul, maybe it feeds yours??

There's a lot to like about this place, but there's definitely room for improvement--particularly when it comes to service. We stopped by on New Year's Day for brunch. My wife ordered the fried chicken biscuit with a poached egg, and I ordered the farmer's omelet (no mushrooms) along with a short stack. We also ordered beignets. Unfortunately, my omelet came out with mushrooms, even though the modification was clearly stated and repeated when the order was taken. By the time the mistake was addressed, I was already halfway through my short stack and didn't want to wait for a remake, so I let it go. What stood out to me, though, was that no manager or chef came by to acknowledge or apologize for the error, which was disappointing. Service overall felt inconsistent. The restaurant appeared both overstaffed and understaffed at the same time--there were plenty of people walking around, but very little awareness of tables that weren't "theirs." We sat for a good portion of the meal with empty water glasses, and no one checked in. I believe service works best when it's approached more as a team effort: even if there's a designated server per table, everyone on the floor should be paying attention to guests and stepping in when needed. The lack of management involvement was also concerning. Beyond losing a sale that day, situations like this risk losing repeat customers and, of course, result in reviews like this one. A simple acknowledgment from management would have gone a long way. That said, the food itself is good, and I think most people will enjoy what they order here. With some focused improvements in service and guest engagement, this place could be much better.

We stopped in around 7:20 AM, just after they opened, and had a great experience from start to finish. Stiven was our server and made us feel welcome right away when we mentioned it was our first visit. I ordered the Hey Lucy omelette with a side of grits and coffee, while my husband went for the bacon burger with home fries. I couldn't resist adding the bourbon pancakes -- and wow, everything came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The flavors, presentation, and service were all on point. I even called my brother afterward to tell him about it -- and we don't even live in the area! A great breakfast spot worth the visit.

Stopped by for an impromptu brunch. The food was ok. Tasty but not spectacular. Our waiter was nice but we had to keep reminding him of missing items. It offers indoor and outdoor dining. I would try it again.

Tip: pack your patience…read more I've been wanting to try Cafe Columbia since I heard they have the option to add ice cream to the crepe. Ice cream with crepes are one of my favorite type of crepes, and that's exactly what I ordered; a crepe with ice cream. I walked in and the cafe was bustling with people enjoying their meal, and the workers preparing meals. It was a full house, however, I was able to grab a table for two. French Toast Crepe: this simple yet tasty crepe fit the bill. It had cinnamon flavor with whipped cream and I opted for a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It didn't come with fruit which I will add next time (yes, there will be a next time). Belgium Waffle: another simple item yet the batter was better than I expected. It didn't come with toppings. It came with a lite dusting of powdered sugar and came with room temperature butter. Chai Latte: this was good on the first sip. It seemed watered down and I would have preferred more flavor. Then again, I'm not a regular drinker of chai latte, and my daughter seemed to enjoy it. So don't count this out. When we ordered the staff gave us a disclaimer the crepe would take about 25 minutes. I didn't mind at the time. It took longer than that; however, I could see the workers constantly working on preparing meals so it didn't bother me. We got the waffle about 25 minutes later so we decided to share both the waffle and crepe. The crepe came out about 20 minutes later. The cafe has a well thought out layout. It has tables on each side, a reading area, and an area with complimentary water next to the coffee/tea station. The little station has water, cups, sugar, napkins and creamer (not pictured because it was packed and constantly occupied). On the other side you'll find more tables, the restrooms, and an ostracized nook that had someone in there occupying the chairs for what seemed like quiet time. Customer service is good. Parking is free in a huge parking lot for the business building. The cafe is located at the front of a shared business building. The menu has a variety of waffles with and without fruit options; crepes made either savory or sweet; and coffee drink options. There is an ice cream bar for scoops of ice cream or milkshakes; and lastly some fruit cups. Overall, I enjoyed the cafe and plan to add it to my list of favorites.

I also ordered some kind of spinach and feta pastry from the front case, which was good. We also all enjoyed the homefries which were crispy with a unique seasoning. We ordered the stuffed french toast which had a great flavor, but it wasn't really stuffed, there were just toppings on it. My nephew ordered the chicken and waffles. He's 15. I'm guessing that waitress assumed he was a kid and gave him the kids portion. Either way, the fried chicken looked like two pieces of frozen chicken schnitzel. My mother ordered the Reuben and did not like it at all because it lacked flavor.
