Finally visited this popular breakfast-and-lunch spot. I've driven by a few times and noticed the parking lot was always packed, with a number of people waiting outside for a table. Tip: add yourself to the waitlist and hopefully, the wait won't be too long. The wait for our party of two was about 30 minutes. I walked in and was greeted by displays of cakes, muffins, and pies--oh my. Great start. This restaurant is quite large and seems to have an extension for more seating "around the corner." Almost every table was occupied, with a good mix of people, and the service was excellent. We didn't need to chase down the waitress for refills and plates were cleared quickly. The restaurant is very loud, partly because it was jam-packed (no pun intended), with many large tables (6-10 people), and everyone seemed to be having a great time. The menu is quite extensive, and M loved the lemon-blueberry pancakes with extra lemon curd. Naturally, I had to try a slice of the carrot cake... for research purposes, of course. Returned to this lively neighborhood restaurant and found it just as packed as before. The menu still offers plenty of breakfast favorites with lots of mix-and-match combinations. One thing I didn't realize before is that there's a separate dining room away from the main area that's noticeably quieter--worth requesting if the front space feels a bit loud. Our server, Mariah, was friendly and knowledgeable, and she easily handled separate checks. She even showed us comparison photos to explain the difference between an appetizer and the full lunch portion of a similar dish, which was helpful. The meals were nicely presented and well portioned, and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. My only suggestion would be for the Huevos Rancheros--the tortilla chips were layered underneath and became a bit soggy. Recently visited for a 50th bday brunch. Energy was good. Service was great and food came out fast. Our server did an awesome job with our table of 20. Now onto the food. While here I had the following: Brussels sprouts: tasty. Had a good flavor. Nice portion size. I would've loved if the sprouts were a little more crisp. Pig candy: delish! Crispy and crunchy. The aioli sauce and arugula was a nice touch. Also a nice portion. Lamb chop lollipops- I was original told there were 7 pops but, it ended up being 5. The chops were a bit unevenly cooked. I asked for medium and half of them came out well. The mash potatoes were tasty with the Cabernet gravy. Old bay bloody-very boozy and tasty. It complimented my meal well. In all I'd visit again. I've gone to JAM a few times and each time seem to enjoy whatever we order. Fun fact im not a jam or jelly person but their homemade spreads are delicious On my latest visit for a little Valentine's Day lunch with some mama friends we sat in the bigger area that has long tables and I believe they are open to renting for events with various photos of celebrities. Our table was placed by Bad Bunny which was amazing since we were all very excited after the Super Bowl hype. I have had the crab cake and bayou Benedict both which have been delicious. The crab cake Benedict comes with a fried green tomato and bayou Benedict comes with polenta. Enjoyed both of these touches being different from the typical English muffin for a Benedict. This place is open, spacious and popping with people! I met a friend at 11:30 on a Friday for brunch and it was packed! Something that I noticed right away was how diverse the crowd was it's a gathering place for business meetings, mamas, families and friends to enjoy a meal together. I notice things like this and it's important to me. We were seated right away and this is literally my only small complaint, we were seated in me of the back rooms which was fine, but it felt very cozy and not in the best way as all of the tables were so close together there wasn't a lot of room to maneuver and it was very chilly. However that being said the room was full of natural light and the background noise of cheerful chatter made it a great experience. Our server was Zach A. and he was lovely, he made great recommendations, was attentive and it was evident that he's really great at his job! One other thing to note is the managers on duty were also great checking in, running food when needed, greeting people at the door. I love when the managers are visible and customer facing, it says a lot about the culture of the establishment. The food delicious, I couldn't decide between all the things so I ended up with our servers favorite waffle, the Churro waffle and it was decadent... and a side of turkey sausage. I would give the waffle alone a 100 star rating but the savory side made it the perfect combo. We asked for a table and we were told 25 min wait which wasn't bad but as we sat there waiting we could see tables were opening up, people who came after us were getting sat well before the 25 minute waiting time and when we finally went to check (we sat close to the host stand), they had forgotten our place and we had not gotten any communication- not a text or notice in person or otherwise. We were looking for a good brunch spot to help celebrate her in memory as it was the one year anniversary of our mother's passing. My sister ended up choosing this spot for all of us to enjoy brunch. This was my wife and I's first time here and we were joined by several of my family members from my siblings, aunt and uncle's as well as others. My sister got a prickly pear margarita and her boyfriend got the tequila sunrise. My wife got an apple juice and I got a Caribbean blast smoothie. I started off my order with strawberry cream shortcake pancakes and my wife got a griddle combo. My best friend ended up getting lamb lollipops and crepe flambe. My other family got the coconut cream French toast, an omelette, and my uncle got some wings. We ended our night with two different types of cake I got the lemon cream cake and my wife got the strawberry cream cake, both were fresh and delicious. We got so many different types of dishes as we had a very large party but they were very accommodating and even worked with my uncle when he did not like his wings until he was satisfied. Others got biscuits and gravy, banana pudding pancakes, caramel apple pancakes, Iamb lollipops and chicken and waffles. They really go above and beyond here and their menu options are endless! We really appreciate it how we were taken care of here and we made sure to tip well directly to Felipe so that he knew that. Stopped into Jam Eateries today with my girlfriend to kick off her birthday weekend brunch, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We were able to walk right in and get seated promptly, which was a pleasant surprise. The host/GM was super welcoming and set the tone for the whole visit. It was my friend's first time here, and they really pulled out all the stops. The fall menu was giving, so we started with the pumpkin pie espresso martinis, and babyyyyy those things were delicious. So much so, we ended up ordering two each lol. We also tried the mini crabcakes and calamari, both of which were perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. I had the griddle combo with the churro waffle, which is always a favorite for me (definitely have to come back before the pumpkin pie pancakes are gone, they looked good!). My girl went with the short rib hash, but she wasn't too impressed with the short rib since it didn't have much flavor. Was visiting Hanover and it was incredibly hard to find a place that served breakfast (not Starbucks or DD or IHOP) and had more than 3 stars. Came across this spot a town or so over. Called to check on wait time and there was about a 40-45 minute wait with approximately that many parties waiting. They were unable to add us to the wait list but did tell us we could go to toast (website) and add our names there. There were 48 parties waiting by the time we added our name but I will say the list came in clutch. By the time we finished getting ready and headed over, our table was ready just as we pulled into the parking lot. You are also able to follow along your progress on the pages you add your name to. Now for the main event, the restaurant was pretty packed but also way bigger than expected and even than appearance from the outside. The restaurant is bright, a bit loud as it was packed, and decorated with various music artists throughout. The food was solid and they have plenty of breakfast and lunch choices available on top of a separate seasonal menu for food and drinks. There were a lot of menus to keep track of so that was a bit overwhelming if you don't like too many choices. Everything we had was tasty and fresh. Least favorite was probably the Nashville hot chicken sandwich probably because you can get some really good ones out there these days and this one was just ok. First timer!! And We look forward to going back very soon! The only thing we did not like was the process for reservations. The wait time was about 45mins...We arrived, looking for parking and we get a message that our table is ready. Overwhelming (in a good way) amount of menu options. Divided areas providing a different atmosphere in each. We ended up being seated in a smaller area in the back of the restaurant. Celebrity paintings decorated the walls. Coffee was strong and bold just the way we like it. Duck for Brunch -we're in! They had a couple of Duck dishes and we ended up ordering the Duck Confit Benedict (haven't seen this anywhere else and it was a special)- Delicious Duck with pickled onions taking it over the top! Ranchero Omelette was excellent and filled with Chorizo, peppers and fresh avocado. Shared the chocolate chip pancakes and they didn't disappoint. Although we didn't partake, they had a long list of drinks from smoothies to speciality coffees and cocktails. Oh and the Dessert display looked amazing-next time. Given how busy the restaurant seems to always be during brunch time, especially on weekends, I have to admit I had my concerns about how service was going to be... but Erick was awesome. He answered any questions we had and was quite diligent about checking on us throughout our time there. We all pretty much got mimosa flights, and it had 4 flavors that I'll list in order from most to least favorite: passion fruit, island, blackberry, strawberry. I will say that the strawberry & blackberry were fantastic together, though they were my two least favorites. The presentation was lovely, and for $15... great amount. The food... oh God. Although it's dang near always busy (especially if it's a weekend and you're thinking brunch), the service is always so good - the food comes out fast and fresh, and all of the staff are great. The vibes are good, the tables aren't too close together and the space is so cute. They also have several different seating areas to include main dining room area, a patio, a bar, a party-room type area, and various booths and tables throughout (I have sat in every one of these areas lol - the patio is awesome, although the tables are small). Also, LOVE that the restrooms are single occupancy, all-gender/gender-inclusive. I will say that the restrooms are often a bit of a mess, I think just because especially when it's busy, the staff just doesn't have time to get to them like they probably should. They aren't outright dirty, but they tend to be overflowing on trash and splashes everywhere and can be sticky (... yeah). The ambiance is also often quite loud - lots of talking and music, so don't think you're going to come here and have a nice quiet brunch situation because that AINT IT. That notwithstanding, I LOVE LOVE LOVE JAM. *The parking can be a mess, so when it's busy, just save yourself the time and park in the structure across the street. ALSO, USE THE WAITLIST!!!!! Nice little brunch spot. Perfect for a weekend morning gathering with your friends. Not too loud, plenty of natural light, cozy decor, multiple rooms separate the noise levels. Menu has all of the brunch staples. I went for the burrito and my friend did the huevos rancheros. No complaints, we enjoyed our food. One of the better brunch places in the DMV. Makes sense why the wait time here is always so long. Come by in person and be prepared to wait for your table but know that its worth it (if you have time). read more

I eat here other enough so this review is for the items I had. The seafood pasta was very good however the crepes were not my favorite. The service was stellar from the server. He was very attentive and checked in frequent providing refills, boxes, etc. The seating arrangement for the party of 7 felt secluded. For large parties Jam offers a back room separate from the main dining area. It is spacious but doesn't have the main floor decor and feel. I came to JAM after one of our friends recommended it. A group of us enjoyed brunch there. I was extremely pleased with everything about my visit. There was a 45 min wait but we were seated only 10 min later. The service was exceptional. Our server was very friendly and gave us great menu suggestions. The menu options was so large that I find it impossible for someone to not find something they would like. I ordered the Griddle combo with Caramel Apple Pie French toast. I was sooo good. The combo came with two eggs, a breakfast meat option (I chose bacon), and home fries. I also tasted fried pickles, Brussel sprouts, calamari, strawberry crepe, and the seafood pasta. Everything was delicious. The drinks were strong and tasty. Everything on the menu also seemed reasonably priced and the portion sizes were large. I will absolutely be back. read more
