Jam Eats for the WIN! I've been wanting to try this spot for a while and they definitely did not disappoint! From the service to the food, everything was a 10/10! I honestly have no complaints. Our server was amazing, but what I noticed was how helpful every employee was. Anytime someone walked past our table they checked to make sure we were good and asked if we needed anything. That alone makes a difference. Now to my food. I had the shrimp and grits with French toast and potatoes. Everything was delicious! My friend had the seafood omelette with potatoes. She loved hers as well. Our server recommended both dishes and I'm glad we took her suggestions. Great food, great service, and an overall great experience. No complaints at all! I can say this is my third time back and it is always consistently good. I will start by saying how wonderful the staff and servers are Liz came over to say hello. She remembered me from before Leslie our server was attentive and offered great suggestions. We ordered a lot of fun things from the firecracker shrimp to the crab dip as appetizers. Both were really good. I would recommend asking for the firecracker shrimp sauce to be on the side or lighter I ordered the breakfast combo with the cinnamon bun French toast. Everything was amazing. My girlfriend ordered the steak and eggs and she loved it. I would suggest ordering the steak medium rare. She likes medium well which I can't fathom. JAM is always consistently good. To start, this menu is extensive. Breakfast, lunch, you choose the type of meal you want to have. They also have good options for keeping it light or going wild on brunch treats. You really can get anything and I've tried a lot of the menu, it's good. On this day, I got a don't forget the veggie omelet and subbed the home fries for fruit cup. It was delicious and felt like a lot of omelet. My one warning. They are the type of place that your coffee never gets lower than the half way point before a top off. Jam Eateries is a local daytime spot! They are open from 6am-4pm each day. They don't take reservations and can get quite busy on the weekends. We went during the week and there was no wait. The restaurant is spacious and with lots of natural light. We started off with their freshly squeezed juices. I got the kickstarter and added ginger. My partner also got the kickstarter, added ginger and took out strawberries. The drink is sweeter with the strawberries. Our meal consisted of the beet salad, short rib hash and breakfast tacos. The beet salad was tasty, the pomegranate added sweetness and the pecans provided complexity. The short rib hash was filling but lacked slightly in depth of flavor. OMG easily the best brunch spot in maryland! We came for the first time on Father's Day ( so risky i know! ) and I was so nervous that we wouldn't grab a seat because there is no reservation system. Because of that I woke up at 5:30am to get ready to try to get there early. We got there at 8 am and pretty much every seat was full but we got seated immediately. We asked for a high chair but also wanted to sit in a booth and high chairs aren't accommodated at booths. The head waiter easily solved that problem by letting us use a booster seat THAT HAS SEATBELTS! (the moms with 9 month olds get it). That meant so much to me and left a great impression. I wanted to come here because of their extensive breakfast menu (especially their flavored pancakes, waffles, and french toast) and it did not disappoint. We grabbed the grand mimosa and they were super strong and yummy. I had a great time and will definitely be back! Fun fact im not a jam or jelly person but their homemade spreads are delicious On my latest visit for a little Valentine's Day lunch with some mama friends we sat in the bigger area that has long tables and I believe they are open to renting for events with various photos of celebrities. Our table was placed by Bad Bunny which was amazing since we were all very excited after the Super Bowl hype. I have had the crab cake and bayou Benedict both which have been delicious. The first time we tried to eat here, it was on a Sunday morning in May. There was a line out the door and around the corner! We ended up going somewhere else. We tried again today, Tuesday morning, September 1st. Much, much better, no wait! The vibes are very chill inside the restaurant, lots of cool artwork on the walls. BOY Oh BOY, what delicious food. I'm not huge fan of standard american breakfast, but the vastness of this menu put my mind at ease. I saw the duck omlette, saw it had goat cheese and I was sold. What a unique way to spice up a omlette, it was yummy. We also had the crab dip which was the best I've had in a while. Returned to this lively neighborhood restaurant and found it just as packed as before. The menu still offers plenty of breakfast favorites with lots of mix-and-match combinations. One thing I didn't realize before is that there's a separate dining room away from the main area that's noticeably quieter--worth requesting if the front space feels a bit loud. Our server, Mariah, was friendly and knowledgeable, and she easily handled separate checks. She even showed us comparison photos to explain the difference between an appetizer and the full lunch portion of a similar dish, which was helpful. The meals were nicely presented and well portioned, and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. My only suggestion would be for the Huevos Rancheros--the tortilla chips were layered underneath and became a bit soggy. While here I had the following: Brussels sprouts: tasty. Had a good flavor. Nice portion size. I would've loved if the sprouts were a little more crisp. Pig candy: delish! Crispy and crunchy. The aioli sauce and arugula was a nice touch. Also a nice portion. Lamb chop lollipops- I was original told there were 7 pops but, it ended up being 5. The chops were a bit unevenly cooked. This place is open, spacious and popping with people! I met a friend at 11:30 on a Friday for brunch and it was packed! Something that I noticed right away was how diverse the crowd was it's a gathering place for business meetings, mamas, families and friends to enjoy a meal together. I notice things like this and it's important to me. We were seated right away and this is literally my only small complaint, we were seated in me of the back rooms which was fine, but it felt very cozy and not in the best way as all of the tables were so close together there wasn't a lot of room to maneuver and it was very chilly. However that being said the room was full of natural light and the background noise of cheerful chatter made it a great experience. Our server was Zach A. and he was lovely, he made great recommendations, was attentive and it was evident that he's really great at his job! One other thing to note is the managers on duty were also great checking in, running food when needed, greeting people at the door. I love when the managers are visible and customer facing, it says a lot about the culture of the establishment. The food delicious, I couldn't decide between all the things so I ended up with our servers favorite waffle, the Churro waffle and it was decadent... and a side of turkey sausage. I would give the waffle alone a 100 star rating but the savory side made it the perfect combo. My friend had a latte, and the salmon omelet that came stuffed full of deliciousness and wrapped in salmon with a lemon blueberry pancake on the side. We asked for a table and we were told 25 min wait which wasn't bad but as we sat there waiting we could see tables were opening up, people who came after us were getting sat well before the 25 minute waiting time and when we finally went to check (we sat close to the host stand), they had forgotten our place and we had not gotten any communication- not a text or notice in person or otherwise. Finally visited this popular breakfast-and-lunch spot. I've driven by a few times and noticed the parking lot was always packed, with a number of people waiting outside for a table. Tip: add yourself to the waitlist and hopefully, the wait won't be too long. The wait for our party of two was about 30 minutes. I walked in and was greeted by displays of cakes, muffins, and pies--oh my. Great start. This restaurant is quite large and seems to have an extension for more seating "around the corner." Almost every table was occupied, with a good mix of people, and the service was excellent. We didn't need to chase down the waitress for refills and plates were cleared quickly. The restaurant is very loud, partly because it was jam-packed (no pun intended), with many large tables (6-10 people), and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Stopped into Jam Eateries today with my girlfriend to kick off her birthday weekend brunch, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We were able to walk right in and get seated promptly, which was a pleasant surprise. The host/GM was super welcoming and set the tone for the whole visit. It was my friend's first time here, and they really pulled out all the stops. The fall menu was giving, so we started with the pumpkin pie espresso martinis, and babyyyyy those things were delicious. So much so, we ended up ordering two each lol. We also tried the mini crabcakes and calamari, both of which were perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. I had the griddle combo with the churro waffle, which is always a favorite for me (definitely have to come back before the pumpkin pie pancakes are gone, they looked good!). My girl went with the short rib hash, but she wasn't too impressed with the short rib since it didn't have much flavor. The potatoes were the saving grace, and let's just say she had to lean heavy on the steak sauce, never a good sign lol All in all, the vibe was great, the food was solid, and those drinks were definitely the star of the show. Called to check on wait time and there was about a 40-45 minute wait with approximately that many parties waiting. They were unable to add us to the wait list but did tell us we could go to toast (website) and add our names there. There were 48 parties waiting by the time we added our name but I will say the list came in clutch. By the time we finished getting ready and headed over, our table was ready just as we pulled into the parking lot. You are also able to follow along your progress on the pages you add your name to. Now for the main event, the restaurant was pretty packed but also way bigger than expected and even than appearance from the outside. The restaurant is bright, a bit loud as it was packed, and decorated with various music artists throughout. The food was solid and they have plenty of breakfast and lunch choices available on top of a separate seasonal menu for food and drinks. There were a lot of menus to keep track of so that was a bit overwhelming if you don't like too many choices. Everything we had was tasty and fresh. Least favorite was probably the Nashville hot chicken sandwich probably because you can get some really good ones out there these days and this one was just ok. Favorite was between the short rib Benedict and the winter harvest breakfast hash. The coffee was strong, served in a large cup and the refill (not the first cup) was piping hot. We were looking for a good brunch spot to help celebrate her in memory as it was the one year anniversary of our mother's passing. My sister ended up choosing this spot for all of us to enjoy brunch. This was my wife and I's first time here and we were joined by several of my family members from my siblings, aunt and uncle's as well as others. We ended our night with two different types of cake I got the lemon cream cake and my wife got the strawberry cream cake, both were fresh and delicious. We got so many different types of dishes as we had a very large party but they were very accommodating and even worked with my uncle when he did not like his wings until he was satisfied. Others got biscuits and gravy, banana pudding pancakes, caramel apple pancakes, Iamb lollipops and chicken and waffles. They really go above and beyond here and their menu options are endless! We really appreciate it how we were taken care of here and we made sure to tip well directly to Felipe so that he knew that. After getting the waitlist timing right, we made and it was worth the wait. My family used to frequent Eggspectation, the previous restaurant. This new place is altogether different in good ways! Overwhelming (in a good way) amount of menu options. Divided areas providing a different atmosphere in each. We ended up being seated in a smaller area in the back of the restaurant. Celebrity paintings decorated the walls. Coffee was strong and bold just the way we like it. Duck for Brunch -we're in! They had a couple of Duck dishes and we ended up ordering the Duck Confit Benedict (haven't seen this anywhere else and it was a special)- Delicious Duck with pickled onions taking it over the top! Ranchero Omelette was excellent and filled with Chorizo, peppers and fresh avocado. Shared the chocolate chip pancakes and they didn't disappoint. The service was amazing!!! We never had a time that we were looking for a waiter . Even both managers touched the tables to see how we were doing. The place was very busy, we started the waitlist at home and by time we got here we were seated with in 10 mins. The food was very good and came out fresh and hot. I had the steak and egg and my partner had the chicken and waffles with hot honey on the side. Overall will definitely be back.! read more
