I stopped by this Chick-fil-A while on a week-long business trip to Columbia, Maryland. I came here for a quick meal to-go, for dinner. After parking my car, I found the premises to be clean, well maintained, and pleasant. As I approached the building, I could see that the drive-thru was busy, but it seemed to be operating efficiently. Shortly after entering, I could also see that there were several customers here inside enjoying their meal. It was clean and well maintained inside as well. I was immediately greeted by one of the Chick-fil-A employees while I entered. As I approached the counter, I was once again greeted by a different Chick-fil-A employee who was working the register. His name was Douglas. While I was placing my order, I noticed something neat that he was wearing and I complimented him on it. We then engaged in a little small talk, and we had a pleasant conversation. So, I don't know how other folks feel, but from my experience I've noticed that most of the employees at every Chick-fil-A have a higher level of professionalism and friendliness than is typical at most other fast food restaurants. I have also found that they provide good old-fashioned face-to-face customer service, instead of just adding a bunch of stupid (impersonal) kiosks like several other fast-food establishments have recently done. These are just two of the reasons that Chick-fil-A will continue to be a successful business. Several other fast food establishments have just not mastered customer service the way that Chick-fil-A has, in my opinion. Employees like Douglas are one of the main reasons I keep coming back. He was awesome. Finally, I've always enjoyed the food at Chick-fil-A, and this location was no different. Not only is the chicken really delicious, but I'm also happy that Chick-fil-A is willing to let me have a bunch of sauces to go along with my meal without being annoying by charging me extra for them (like McDonald's typically does). I highly recommend this business because they provide excellent food in a pleasant environment while having professional and friendly employees. 1.24.23 It's been awhile since I've dined in at this location. My colleague told me to check the app as he received an offer for a free 5-pc chicken nugget. So my hubby and I dropped in for lunch today. They have renovated the interior since the last time we were here. The chairs are cushioned as I don't recall that they previously were. The mobile order pickup area has a sleeker and sturdier shelving unit. Also, I don't recall that the mobile app had an option to select a table if you dine in the last time we ate here. Unfortunately today when we used the app it took forever before our food was brought out to us. There seemed to more staff standing around then there were patrons. Although I did see a large catering order go out, but they would have only been busy in the kitchen and wouldn't have had staff just standing around. In the past, I saw employees going around asking patrons if they needed anything or offered to clear tables for patrons. I didn't see staff go above and beyond like they normally do, which I have come to associate with this franchise. In addition to the 5-pc nuggets, I ordered 2-pc chicken strip and a kale side salad. My hubby ordered a chicken sandwich and a drink. Everything tasted good, but the kale salad needed more dressing. It was kind of dry and bland. This the longest and slowest CFA drive thru I have ever seen. So happy I used the app and did curbside. I don't know what anyone in the drive thru was thinking. I received my curbside order in less than 5 minutes. The rep was courteous and the food tasted fresh and yummy. The portions on my salad were fair for the price. Fries not fresh today-. This location is always a busy one, as are many CFA's. But I usually get fresh , hot food and I stay content despite the hassle of fighting traffic and drive through lines. But today, my curbside order was lacking. My nuggets were fine, not soggy or skimpy. But my waffle fries were dry, rubbery, and cold. Some pieces were slightly burn, some broken into bits. What a disappointment. I didn't need the points anyway, but still! It's my treat. Well,not this time. After about three or four bites I gave up on those spuds. Whenever I want a quick bite to eat, Chick-fil-a is usually one of my go-tos. However, this location is not my favorite. Unfortunately, it's the closest location to where I live so I have no other choice. My experiences at this location have been hit or miss. Some days, it's really good and other days, not so much. My first issue is the location altogether. It's located in a busy shopping center which includes a Walmart so the whole entire shopping center is busy as all hell. Chick-fil-a is tucked away in a corner of this shopping center making it a pain to get to and get out of. You literally have to cross the path of the Starbucks drive-thru to get out which, by the way, is another super busy place. Due to covid, my experiences have only been in the drive-thru and curbside pickup. I usually only use the drive-thru in the morning when it's not busy. Otherwise, I order ahead and do curbside. Curbside service hasn't been the greatest. For example, during my visit today, the employee just hands me my food. In better experiences, the employee would confirm my name to make sure they had the right order and sometimes even run down what I ordered. Not today. The food is usually good but there have been issues of them forgetting sauces I requested. One time I ordered a half and half as my drink and they literally brought me two cups: one cup of lemonade and one cup of iced tea. One thing that had me confused during today's visit is how it can be so busy and my fries be room temperature. But again, things are hit or miss. There have been other times where everything was perfect. I really hope Chick-fil-a considers opening another location in the area to divert some of that traffic somewhere else. It wouldn't hurt to put one on Washington Blvd in Elkridge or Jessup. I'm just saying. read more

This is specifically for their COVID practices. Y'all all know how the food is. This specific location allows entry through one door and exit through another. They have placed barriers around to ensure that you will follow this. There is a specific area for pick up and the staff are behind barriers. They move rather quickly in an effort to get you out, and they still have a small area to dine. You also have the option to do drive thru and curbside. Nicely done. read more

The drive thru line often circles all the way around the store but I just go inside and order and they are pretty fast and friendly. My complaint today is about the price vs quality. Today I got a salad and a "smoothie" and it was over $17 with tax. I used to really love the market salads but lately not as good. Today tasted like it had been refrigerated too long -- too cold and not fresh tasting, only a couple of blueberries and little cheese. A couple months ago I got the same salad and it was literally half apple chunks. So I guess it's whatever they decide to throw in. I tried a strawberry smoothie today. Now, I do expect sugar and sweetness, but it tasted like it was 90% sugar and barely any strawberry flavor. Basically liquified candy. I threw it out. Burger King, McD, or any smoothie place would be better. I looked it up, and it has 75 GRAMS OF SUGAR which is 2-3 times as much as daily recommended limit. So, in summary, almost $20 for a so-so salad and a shake that was disgusting, over priced, and ended up in the trash. read more

Stopped by this Chick-Fil-A to pick up lunch. I decided to use the mobile app since I was a few miles from the direction I was headed home. Thought could just pick up. It was a crazy mad house. Huge line in drive thru I haven't been to this location just was overwhelmed. The good thing is the app lets you change from pick up in curbside. Food was excellent and fresh but they didn't give me the correct dressing for my salad and no fork. Had to go to the door to ask for correction. I ordered through the easy-to-use application and got my food in less than ten mins! The food was hot and fresh, the curbside carrier was super friendly and I was completely fulfilled. I really love this fast food chain for their wide range of options. Their salads are low calorie and the lettuce always crispy. I ordered a grilled chicken club sandwich meal. It's 7:20pm and of course the drive thru was on overdrive but the inside was just like my pockets after pumping gas! People would save a lot of time and gas fumes, if they went inside. It was clean, staff was prompt and courteous. They had it nicely decorated in the dining area. I ordered a salad for lunch for my daughter tomorrow and it was a in box. I know it's for the environment but I'm not sure the portion is the same nor this being sustainable for the next day. I'll certainly need to transfer the salad to a plastic container for her lunch. I worked late and decided to grab Chick-fil-A instead of cooking. This particular Chick-fil-A, located in Dobbin Center (#01454) is operated by Joe Dinoto and was being managed (during the time of my visit) by Shift Manager David A. Now that I gave you the landmark, I will dive into my complaint. An employee by the name of Faith, rudely and obnoxiously, took my order and acted as if I pulled up to her window, at her house, instead of a speaker at a major food chain. First and foremost, she took her time to ask what I wanted and kept responding, "mmmhmm," every time I spoke. Since when is that part of the script at Chick-fil-A? I initially thought that I was mistaken, so I turned my music off, and sure enough, she was still responding, "mmmhmm" so I asked her if I was missing something and if she was okay, because I didn't know her personally, so she had no reason to be acting as if we had beef. After the drama with trying to place my order, I pulled to the window and demanded to know the name of the person who took my order. Nobody would give me her name, so I asked to speak to the manager, and that's when David A. came to the window and told me that her name was Faith, followed by repeatedly apologizing for her unprofessionalism and said that he would talk to her. I said thank you, paid for my food and pulled off. Something told me to check my receipt and sure enough, Faith was so busy being obnoxiously unprofessional that she just rang up anything. She only got a portion of my order correct, so I ended up having to go inside the store. David A. was at the register so I approached him and explained to him that I was given the wrong order. David A. apologized again and said that he would make it right. He told me to keep what I was given and gave me the difference in the cost and a new order. I remember a time when Chick-fil-A was known for their top notch customer service. Now they just employ any ole body, the prime example being Faith. She carried herself as if she was the franchise owner and I was visiting her establishment, therefore (in her mind) it was acceptable to talk to people any kind of way, but it's not. Consumers controll everything. If people stopped patronizing that location, it would have no choice but to reduce staff and/or close. I think that Faith should be written up and taken off of the front line for the sake of that particular location. She is a poor representative for the company and bad for business. read more

Warning to any customers - do not go to this location. My husband ordered for drive thru pickup and when he got home we saw only half of our order was given to us. When he called the location they told us that they put the food in and refused to assist further. We were not given our money back or the option for a new order even through the food we paid for and we're not given was shown on the receipt. We paid $25 and half of our order was not given to us. This Chick-fil-A has possibly the worst set up of all the Chick-fil-A locations across the country. Then you have to whiz past a Wendy's and a McDonald's and their respective drive thru traffic. Upon spotting the Chick-fil-A, you'll have to loop around the building to enter the cramped drive through line. Tons of chances for a fender bender that'll ruin your day and everyone else's too. I love there service. I like when I pull up to curbside and put my order in. It takes no time at all. I appreciate that they bring the food to my car. I don't know about anybody else but I always tip. I think everyone that brings the food to your car you should tip.
