It was just before midnight when I arrived at this Taco Bell (Columbia, Maryland). I knew the dine-in option was not available due to how late it was, so I proceeded to the drive-thru. As I approached this Taco Bell, I found the premises to be well kept and the signage was well illuminated. There were no other cars in the drive thru when I arrived. I had a simple order: Three regular tacos and a large Starry. The order was ready fairly quick, with no complications. But now, here's my frustration: When I was a little boy, I was taught good manners, especially saying "please" and "thank you." Later, when I was a teenager, this knowledge was reinforced by my employers while I worked in the fast food industry. All my bosses would always say to "show your appreciation to the customers by thanking them for their business. This helps our business stay alive, and it means you'll have a job." It seems to me that a high percentage of kids in Generation Z missed out on this fundamental knowledge, and I experienced this here at this Taco Bell. It's a reflex for me though; when the cashier handed me my items I said "thank you" to her. In response, all I got was a blank stare. No "have a good night," no "come again," and certainly no "thank you for your business." In short, this Taco Bell location is well kept, and my meal was good. But this Taco Bell, just like a lot of other fast food businesses, need to train their employees to be polite and pleasant. It should be a natural thing for everyone, especially for anyone working in customer service. read more

I went with my friend to pick something up nearby and she wanted to come here, so of course I had no choice. However, that wasn't a bad thing. It's probably been over 15 years since I've been to a Taco Bell. I saw a Facebook page about their crispy chicken taco so I thought I would give it a try and see how it compared to the old style McDonald's one. I ordered two and paid $1extra for guacamole, which I would not do again because it was a very tiny smear on each taco. The tacos were very good and crispy like they advertise. The tacos were just over $4 each with the added guac. I also ordered the "Happier Hour" strawberry passion fruit refresca. It was just OK. It could've used a little more flavor, but it was better than drinking soda. They are just. $2.00 for a medium. The ordering screen was a bit tricky for me as I like to see the menu ahead of time. Fortunately there was no line at 3 o'clock, and I didn't feel the pressure to order quickly. read more

The revamp of this Taco Bell turned out really nice. The drive thru is new and the whole place inside is very clean. My husband and I were feeling VERY lazy and tired on Halloween and we did not want to cook. We ordered on the app for a walk in pick up. (Highly recommend getting the app, way more food deals there). There were some people ordering in front of us when a nice staff member asked "hey how can I help you guys" I let her know we had a mobile order to pick up. She immediately grabbed it for us and we were good to go. We were inside for maybe 3 minutes. It was effective, quick, and friendly. Something else I noticed is that the portions of the food were actually generous and filling. We had been going to the other Taco Bell in Jessup during the renovation and that one is always hit or miss - usually skimpy or just alright. read more

For the last 15 minutes I overheard many employees in the kitchen discussing my order and uttering vocally my name--which I provided with eagerness in anticipation for my meal. I inquired multiple times about the status of my cuisine and was assured it was top of mind for the entire BOH (back of house) staff. I waited and waited with steadfast optimism forbearance. At last and as stated in the principal sentence--after 45 minutes of ravenous expectancy my order was finally called. The employee exited the bathroom with flagrantly dry hands told me "l'm sorry for the wait, we included a free taco coupon for the wait". Upon returning home and inspecting the contents of my bag there was no coupon. My quesarito turned to ashes in my mouth. The actual food is good but the staff is so busy on their phones that they won't ask if you want a drink or side. The lady behind the counter would even give me napkins without me asking because she was preoccupied with scrolling. When I asked for napkins she slammed them on the counter instead of handing them to me. read more

i hate to say it, but im a frequent customer at this branch. food is usually up to par. i do wanna say that people on the intercom are just the rudest people ever. they'll give you this crazy attitude when you take more than 5 seconds to think abt what u want. this place needed the re-work tbh and i really hope they do come back better and with new staff but i don't have much hope. also since this taco bell is under renovation the other taco bell nearest is like 10 minutes farther away so i don't really know what to do. read more

They asked for my order information several times without communicating what the issue was. They began to all talk loudly in Spanish and give me look. There was a huge line at the drive-thru so I went inside, thinking it would be faster. I was very wrong. This store is a good example of poor management and the opposite of a well-oiled machine. I had to wait 20 minute to get two cheesy $2 burritos, and there were only four people ahead of me waiting for their food. I'd rate 1, but I added a star are primarily for the courteousness and friendliness of the cashier, Garrett, who was diligent and professional. A new employee was being trained at peak dinner hours, only one register was open, the manager was barking orders, and chaos reigned. The area to wait in line is narrow and cramped. The pickup area is also small. I definitely will not return. read more

My order was taken competently by someone who I could understand through the speaker. My breakfast was ready when I got to the window and it was as ordered when I drove away. A few napkins in the bag, which is always helpful. Those cinnamon things stuffed with cream cheese? Wow, those were quite yummy. Ok, so it's midnight on Saturday night and you've had a few drinks and are craving some late night food. Nothing is open other than your standard McD's, BK or Checkers. You're totally unfamiliar with the area so this Taco Bell becomes a destination. You need to get there and get a grilled stuffed burrito in you stat. Well apparently, it seemed like the entire town had the same idea.......the drive-thru line was pretty long and I wish I could say it moved quickly......but it did not. A car full of hungry, somewhat intoxicated friends crept patiently towards the well lit menu board committing our order to memory. After finally receiving our food we dashed into the dimly lit parking lot and enjoyed our gourmet Mexican deliciousness al fresca, along with about 30 other vehicles. Extremely long drive thru lines.. Not sure if it's due to long wait times to prepare the order or just slow cars ahead. The food here is decent, however their wait times are long. Expect a minimum of 30min wait. About 15min wait to have your order taken and about another 15mins to get your vehicle to the window. Once you are in line, it's tough to leave the drive thru. This place is down the street from my house and I love coming here late at night when every where else is closed. The drive thru stays open until 2am! The tacos and burritos are rather well put together. It's Taco Bell. You're not coming here for the dining experience, you're coming to fulfill your late night munchies! And this place never fails to hit the spot. Like most fast food restaurants, some Taco Bells I've been to have employees who are rather unpleasant and rude. This place is not one of them! Fast, courteous service. My son and I have visited this Taco Bell numerous times over the years and have never been disappointed. The drive-through is fast and accurate. Never had a problem. On one occasion we arrived late in the evening and saw a long line at the drive-through, but the line moved very quickly! And before we knew it we were on our way with some delightful gustatory treats. I would highly recommend this Taco Bell as a fast food option over many of the other nearby eating establishments, and I again favor this restaurant for dining in or drive thru primarily because of the fast and efficient service. I've come to this location regularly for the last 10 years and this is about as good as it gets in terms of fast food. There's consistency, hot food, friendly service, minimal mistakes, and speed! In the 150+ times I've been here probably have been two errors, the same cannot be said for any fast food competitor. Or even other locations every time I go to the Canton location there's a problem. You can't beat the hours open till 2am every night but Friday and Saturday they are open till 4am. Driving down Snowden River Parkway at about 10:05pm you will see a line around the block for TB, probably because everything else in Columbia closes at 10. Also they've never been out of any major ingredient, kudos to their management (out of lettuce ... looking at you Chipotle). I do wish they'd bring back the chicken taquitos or chicken roll ups!!! Amazing taco bell! Driving through Maryland and came here for food. Ordered 3 bean burritos, no cheese with added guacamole & added potatoes and it was AMAZING! Food tasted fresh, everything was hot and burritos were actually full! So many times I order and they give me the tiniest burritos with hardly anything in them. These did not disappoint.
