Let me tell y'all about these tacos. I drove over an hour for these tacos. (Thanks Yelp fam, you've done it again!) I had to FIND these tacos (because the taco truck is hidden in the cut... Shout out to one of the Yelpers who provided landmarks in their review which helped guide me to it) When I found these tacos, I didn't want anyone else to find these tacos because... OMG. THESE TACOS. I grabbed an order of beef, chicken, and shrimp tacos for myself and a friend for Cinco de Mayo. The reason why there are no photos attached to this review is because those tacos didn't stand a chance. We DEMOLISHED them!! The ingredients were perfectly seasoned, the toppings were so deliciously fresh, and the portions were incredibly generous for the price. Plus the guy running the taco truck was also really nice. Y'all, hurry up and go get you some of these tacos. It's going to be a side quest to find the place, but it's absolutely worth it.

The address: 6440 Freetown Rd Columbia, MD 21044 United States Food: 2 shrimp and chorizo tacos for $12 The corn tortillas are stuffed with meat, diced tomatoes , cilantro and some cheese. Your meal comes with extra slices of cucumber, 2 hot sauces and limes to drizzle on top of your tacos. These tacos are authentic! The seasoning is bold, and the proteins are perfectly cooked. Service: One man makes all of the food! Be patient and always leave a good tip! Ambiance: Take your order to go or sit and eat at the picnic tables. Overall: These are the most authentic tacos is Howard County. Once you try it, you'll understand why this humble spot has 5 star reviews.
I thoroughly enjoyed these tacos! Although it was a bit hard to locate at first, since it was in the parking lot of a gas station, it was well worth it. The prices aren't bad at all and they give you plenty of tacos. I got 2 chicken tacos, 1 shrimp, and 1 beef and they were soooo yummy. My favorite was by far the chicken though. The flavor and texture were perfect and I have been craving them ever since I had them. Everyone who I went with also got tacos and they all loved it as well. The leftovers were also delicious! I will definitely come back!
This is a food truck that was located at the Sunoco gas station at 6440 Freetown Road, Columbia, MD. My fiancée loves quesadillas, but they are typically made with flour tortillas. The gentleman running the show was very nice and was able to make her gluten-free steak quesadillas with corn tortillas. I ordered the steak burrito and added avocado. After tax, the total was around $25. Some of the ingredients were lukewarm (I believe the rice, steak and beans), but overall the flavors were still very good. Definitely love supporting local businesses, especially when the owners are great people. They were featured on Yelp's Top 100 US Taco Spots 2023 so definitely had to try it out. There are benches if you didn't want to eat inside your car or bring it home. We opted to eat in our car. Come support this local business!
Finally got around to trying this taco truck after having my eyes on it for a few months. These are some of the best tacos I've had, so I'll definitely be a regular here! The tacos are not greasy at all and not overly heavy in flavor - the meats are all fresh and perfectly seasoned. The 4/$10 deal tops it all off, considering 3 are already very filling. I recommend getting one or two of each meat (choices are pork, chicken, shrimp, steak, and chorizo) so you can try them all. You really can't go wrong with any of them, but the shrimp has to be my favorite. Service is always friendly, but be prepared to wait 10-15 minutes for your order. There appears to be only one person working at a time, so the wait can be longer if there are more customers.
Best tacos in the area. Hands down, no questions. Got a steak, shrimp, chicken, and pork - all were fantastic but I think I liked the pork the best. Enjoyed it on the picnic tables and washed it down with a nice cold soda. Can't wait to go back

My friend jose told me there is a diff when it comes to street tacos because of the flavor and to find out go straight to El Sabor Chapin! and i find out very quickly after i got my order lol these are by far the best flavorful tacos ive had..fresh food!! nice portion and for that price thats a steal in my opinion i would def. pay alil more but ill use that for tip next time lol
I can't believe this place is a three minute drive from my house. Tucked away next to the BP gas station. Love the owner, so kind, and the tacos are AMAZING. Seriously. I recommend calling ahead if you don't want to wait 15 to 20 minutes because everything is made fresh.
We've tried most of the taco trucks in the are and this ones definitely our favorite. We tried both the chicken and steak tacos. Great flavor and not too greasy. We also got my son a hotdog, and that was tasty too.
El Sabor Chapin A hidden gem right in my neighborhood that I somehow overlooked until now. This bright and colorful food truck caught my view as I entered the Sunoco gas station in Hickory Ridge Village Center off Freetown Road in Columbia. I placed my order, then checked the air in my tires and got gas--two birds with one stone! By the time I returned, my lunch was ready. They serve freshly prepared Guatemalan-style food with very generous portions. I ordered the tacos choosing 2 flavors each of chicken and steak, burrito filled with tender steak pieces and then a Carne Asada burrito. The flavors were delicious, ingredients were fresh and nothing was overly spicy. Sliced cucumber and radish with sauces topped each dish and the service was friendly with no long wait. A convenient spot for a quick, tasty bite. I'll definitely be back to try more. read more
I heard about this food truck and was super excited to go check them out! They offer Guatemalan cuisine. I heard that the lines can be long but when we went on Saturday around noon there was no line and the wait for our food was around 10 minutes. Just like everyone says the portions are huge! Each meal can easily be split with someone else or saved for a later meal. I really loved the torta, it came with refried beans, lettuce, a special sauce, steak (you can choose the meat), all on a super soft bread. The tacos come loaded up with meat, the steak wasn't the best I've had but the chorizo was phenomenal! The drink options are limited, but if you've never tried coconut water that would be my recommendation. There were some tables right next to the food truck available to use. It was the perfect day to sit outside and enjoy our fresh food. The person who took our food order was super friendly, patient, and happy to answer any questions. I'll definitely be back, and will probably order a torta again. I've also heard great things about their quesadillas! read more

Tacos were DELICIOUS. We got 2 chicken, 2 steak and it was outstanding! The steak was our personal favorite. Service was great! Tacos came with plenty of fixins and for $13, so worth it! Will be going again to try the other meat options and menu items! read more

Delicious tacos!! This family owned and operate food truck is in the cut of Harper's Choice Shopping Center near Safeway and Columbia Assn Skatepark. There was only one person running things on a busy Friday night so a short line had formed but having called ahead my order I was able to pick up and just go. The area wasn't well lit so it's very easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for. The food was amazing - we had shrimp tacos, chorizo tacos (star of the show for me!), and also a steak quesadilla. Ingredients very fresh and tasty, the green sauce is only for those whom can handle extreme spice I believe it was habanero pepper sauce, so proceed w caution if you can't handle heat. For years I've been saying I would try this truck and finally I'm happy to say I have and it was amazing. Also, unlike most other taco trucks in the area, there were 4 tacos in the box! I could only handle 3, very generous portion sizes and the price was right for what's offered. read more

If you're looking for some delicious authentic tacos, this is the place to go. And let me tell yall, he doesn't skimp on the steak or chorizo so it is very fulfilling and worth every penny. After eating 2/4 tacos I bought, I felt compelled to leave a review and let others know how fantastic this food truck is. In addition to the amazing food, the guy who served me provided great customer service as well. 10/10 would recommend. read more

This Guatemalan foodie destination is across from the Safeway. The owner/cook is a one man wrecking crew dishing out tacos (4 for 10), fajitas, and quesadillas. After ordering, the food is typically piping hot in 10 mins. Prices are reasonable and the food portions are great. The tacos, steak fajitas and steak quesadillas were spine tingling good. The quesadilla and fajita was two meals for the price of one! I appreciated the fact that you can taste the meat and there was no added sodium in the food. The salsa verde and salsa roja had more spice than normal but I love spicy! It perfectly balanced with the flavor profile of the meat. The rice and beans, are awesome and awakened my sixth food sense. Guatemalan cuisine is now on my radar. Treat yourself! read more

Do yourself a big favor and get the tacos!!! Wow. I have been hearing about El Sabor Chapin and how great the tacos are and man everyone was right! We got 2 steak tacos and 2 chorizo and they are very authentic and fresh! I also ordered the chicken quesadilla which was also very good. Both came with a spicy sauce and milder sauce which were great! I will definitely be back again! read more

The truck is located in Harper's Choice village center in the parking lot across from Safeway (the far end near the clothes donation boxes and Sportspark). Everything was clean, the cook was wearing a mask/gloves and was polite. He spoke English and Spanish. They accept cash and cards. There were signs encouraging social distancing. The food is made fresh when you order, so expect to wait ~10 mins (or call ahead). I ordered the chicken tacos for $10. It came with 4 tacos (generous filling), two sauces (red/green), and some sliced radish and cucumber on the side. The food was good. I thought it was a bit bland, though, even with the sauce... Next time I'll try a quesadilla. They also had fajitas and burritos. read more

So happy we tried this little food truck next to the Safeway in Harper's Choice. The guy who owns it super nice; always wears a mask and gloves. He even has signs on his truck to keep at least 6 ft away from each other, in both English and Spanish. :-) We've tried all the taco varieties and all were delicious! The shrimp and chicken are our faves. He definitely gives a nice portion of the proteins. If you like spicy, his green sauce will help clear your sinuses, plus it's got great flavor. For the a milder but just as flavorful sauce, ask for the reddish/orange sauce. We've ordered 3 times in the past week and will definitely go back for more. read more
