I first tried DMV Taqueria at a Yelp event. Immediately, the next day I drove out to their spot on the side of the road. The set up is nice. They have tables set up if you don't want to take your food to go or eat in your car. The service is pretty quick. I might of waited ten minutes for my order of chicken tacos. I'm not a corn tortilla lover but however they make their tortillas have changed my mind. The first time tried them they had a crisp text to them. They reminded me of a soft chip. There is no gritty taste to them. The chicken is seasoned down! It's so tednder and flavorful. I liked the red and the green sauce. I just poured it all over everything. I'll try something else the next time I pass through.

These were hands down the best tacos I've ever tasted. I usually stay away from corn tortillas, but these were phenomenal -- fresh, slightly crispy, and absolutely delicious. We tried the Birria tacos, which were loaded with flavorful meat, along with the shrimp tacos that packed a pretty decent punch. My favorite, hands down, was the sauce on the shrimp tacos -- it brought everything together perfectly. Great food, great people and definitely a spot worth visiting again.
Had their food truck- tacos still amazing! Super busy but didn't have to wait too long to get my order of shrimp tacos. Not a bad price for them either, and super delicious. The red sauce is good but their green sauce really hit the spot!
Phew! It was a HOT day! The truck was outside and the staff was working hard with smiles. After placing my order, I sipped my drink that didn't stay cold for long. The food was ready much quicker than I expected and I was relieved. My favorite dish is the shrimp tacos. You can't go wrong with the Birria though. Yum!!

Both the green and red salsas are delicious too. The service was super helpful with recommendations and also very quick. 5 minute turn around. It's a taco truck so I was happy they had picnic tables with umbrellas and even trash cans. Not trashy around and tables were good wood. Must try.
The truck was at the Puerto Rican festival at the Sandy Spring Museum today. We got here kind of late and all we've done is eat so far , also nice to hear the Plena band playing. Ordered steak burrito, which thankfully I split with my sister because it was huge. Really tasty, didn't even need the sauces. Daughter had chicken quesadilla, huge too and really god too. Husband tried getting the tripleta sandwich but no bread left, so he got it with the fries. He seemed to like it but it was kind of messy, luckily he ate it with fork from the container.

I also noticed they added more outdoor benches and tables. Right next to the carwash. I ordered extra meat on this visit. The only thing different that I noticed was my radish was extra sharp. Didn't experience that on my last visit. So was a little surprised. I love the sauces that comes with the meals. Especially the green sauce. We were in the highland area and stopped by. I enjoyed my shrimp as usual and definitely will return. This order was placed online and was ready the time as promised.
Hey friends! I was in the area, went for a walk nearby at Lake Elkhorn, & decided to stop by. I discovered this place from the Grab &Go Yelp event earlier this year! I ordered the shrimp tacos. They took about 10 minutes. They were delicious. Unfortunately not as flavorful and spicy as my first visit. But I love that the ingredients always taste fresh. It comes with fresh limes and two sauces. -Customer Service was good. -This is a food truck outside of a gas station, so parking is very limited. I was able to find street parking. -There a few tables outdoors to dine at. -Prices are great! $14 for three tacos. I'm excited to return and try their churros. I hope you enjoy! Absolutely love this food truck! My birria tacos are always delicious, flavorful and filling. My fiancé felt his steak burrito was okay... the steak was a little on the salty side and there was no guacamole.
I have been here a few times and it's always a good experience. Service is always fast. Stopped in this day for some steak tacos. It's located right next to the Banneker Fire station and the Exxon gas station. There are only a few parking spots on the street and the gas station can be hectic. I chose to head over to the office building right next to the gas station. Since I went on a Saturday the building was closed and there was plenty of space available to park. I placed my order and it was ready within a few minutes. As always the steak was flavorful and cooked well done. Surprisingly not dry at all. Great experience and I will definitely be back again soon. I work in the area so I stop here at least once a month.
Is there a way I can present this establishment with 6 stars? My goodness; I 100000% understand why this food truck is on the Top 100 Places to Eat list. I ordered the churros, birria empanadas, and a shrimp, chicken and birria taco (yes, all 3), and the only thing I needed additionally was someone to drive me home from this parking lot! Literal 5 stars, and all pictured. It was a great idea for the food truck to give out buzzers for ordering, as I noticed a lot of customers either dine close to the truck at provided benches, walk a few feet to the gas station, vacuum station or car wash in the same parking lot, or simply walk next door to the other food truck. I would order from DMV Taqueria for dining-"in" orders, pick up orders, in the area orders, just back orders. Love love loveeee this place and cannot wait to have it again!
I'll start with the food is amazing! It's the best beef birria ever. The food also came quick. There's also a lot of seating. I'd definitely recommend come again. The tacos also had a lot of meats in it.

More Than I Bargained For Having just washed the car, my appetite was definitely in place -- and DMV Taqueria delivered more than I bargained for. I went with the Beef Birria Tacos, and they were amazing. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the shells were cooked perfectly -- crisp around the edges while still holding onto all that ridiculously juicy birria. And I mean JUICY. Do yourself a favor and grab more napkins than you think you'll need. I washed everything down with a Mango Jarritos -- "The Official Drink of Tacos." ... a perfect combination. I've eaten here several times now, and this truck never disappoints. The staff always friendly, service easy, and I really like the setup around the truck. There's a nice patio area with picnic-table seating and party lights strung around the space. It gives you an actual place to sit down and enjoy your food rather than simply grabbing a box and heading back to the car. All in all, a great little spot to grab some Mexican-fusion street food. Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked shells, seriously flavorful birria, and a relaxed outdoor atmosphere. Come hungry. Grab the birria. Get the Mango Jarritos. And seriously... take the extra napkins. read more
Generous flavorful tacos and such. I never get past their amazing birria tacos. So loaded. So savory tender with rich marinated-in flavors. And a good amount of consommé dipping sauce. You can pour it, but i'd be wearing it :-). Ok, i've learned to wear a shirt that hides any reddish sauce, and to lean way over the picnic table, because There Will Be Juice! I'll say the birria tacos were not inexpensive at $16.50, (Sep 2026), but it's fair, and the quality is outstanding. These's also other tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and loaded fries. At the low-price end, there's rice bowls, empanadas, and sandwiches. I get to taste the other items when i have someone to share with. All were quite good! This place is good the food is good it is pretty busy for a food truck as they get door dashes and pick ups plus regular orders. It has seating and parking and a good hang out spot. It is on the more expensive side but overall it's good read more

I'm starting to a have a "thing" for tacos, and honestly, the shrimp tacos were just ok. Flavor was there, but just ok. My daughter had the Birria steak quesadillas, and those were much better than the tacos flavor-wise. I ordered during lunch time on a week day, and was given a buzzer -- similar to being at a restaurant. Service was quick, but overall, I am not in a hurry to go back. read more

Where has this place been my whole life!? I drive by this food truck all the time but today I finally decided to stop. As a Birria fan, I'm always curious to try a new place. The prices are fair, the quesadillas are $14 and come with three dipping sauces. They have plenty of tables nearby to eat at so when I was handed my food I took the first bite there. WOW! Cheesy with the perfect amount of beef. The meat is so tender and juicy just plan on getting a handful of napkins ahead of time. This was one of those meals that you eat and then ask yourself why you didn't order more. I'm eyeing the birria fries for my next visit. read more

Went to my first Trifecta Food Truck and Music festival at the fare grounds. What an event. Stopped at this food truck and saw that they had Birria Tacos. Staff were very friendly and very busy with so many people at this event. I got 3 Beef Birria Tacos for $17. I couldn't believe how much was stuffed in those tacos. The tacos were very flavorful and delicious. The consommé sauce was very good. This company knows what they're doing when it comes to food. Thank you so much. read more

Came here for birria and wasn't disappointed I've been meaning to try this place since moving to the area and we finally decide to on the Fourth of July! Glad to see they were open. All their tacos come in orders of 3 so I got birria. It came with some consume, hot sauces, red and green, and limes and radish slices. When I tell you I devoured it I DEVOURED these tacos on such a hot day too! #noragrets lol Service was quick and nice and the place had a few picnic tables w umbrellas. DMV Taqueria is really good! So it's a food truck and they're mostly in Columbia. Check out their Instagram page @dmv_taqueria for their weekly schedule. So this day, they were parked next to a car wash. I parked in front of the truck, went and placed my order And they gave me a buzzer thing. Maybe 15 minutes goes by, buzzer goes off. I collect my food. I sat and ate right there in my car. It was sooooo good. Would recommend and return. read more

The online ordering system is seamless! We got there before the order was ready, and they smartly gave us a buzzer to let us know when it is ready while we wait from our car. So nice! The food is homemade and so wonderful! They include two different delicious sauces, which are a must have for me. Everything is cooked to perfection. Also, the birria pork and the chicken tasted fresh and juicy with flavor. It was conveniently parked near a gas station for easy access and picnic tables for some seating. Will definitely come again when in the area. read more

I've been waiting for a long while for some legit halal tacos close to me. I was so excited to see this truck pop up when I did a search. We had the birria, steak tacos, and the steak quesadillas. Bruh.....as the kids would say. They were so so so good. Generally, I usually do not prefer the birria tacos much, however, these guys know how to make it just to my liking! They were yummy! Next time we are going to try the empanadas and the steak fries! The tacos were made to order when we arrived and were relatively quick. I would definitely recommend eating them as quick as possible.
