Strayed from my usual visit to Zeke's one day and discovered a new gem. A great place to stop for gelato after dinner too...not a lot of options in this neighborhood

Opened a few weeks ago on the corner of 14th Street and Buchanan Street NW, it's an all-purpose cafe with plenty of seating, outlets, and more. I walked in for a breakfast sandwich on a Monday morning around 10:30am. Service was friendly and quick. The egg and sausage breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel was delicious! It comes with cheese. The sausage isn't a patty, but looked more like a hot dog, but it was a little spicy and tasty! They also have gelato, coffee, and more! There's an outdoor patio along the sidewalk.

I stopped in for lunch. I got a capri sandwich and my husband got a steak sandwich. We ordered lentil sambusa and oat milk salted caramel gelato to share. Everything was delish. The bread on the capri is made with pizza dough and served warm. The ingredients were simple and tasty. The steak sandwich was good. Hearty size with a good ratio of meat and salad. It is served on thick hoagie bread with plenty of condiments so it isn't dry. The gelato was perfect. Very satisfying. And the sambusa was great too. Spicy and flavorful. I wish it was served warm. I'm sure I could ask for it to be warmed up next time. I'll be back to try more!

I finally visited Casa Mia for lunch, and was not disappointed! I ordered a veggie pizza (a quarter of their CasaMia pie) loaded with garlic, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes and herbs. I could taste just how fresh the ingredients were and it was delicious! And they're so generous with the portions, it was so much food, I couldn't even eat half. I love that there's tons of outdoor seating in time for summer. I can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu. I also got a chance to chat with Adi, the owner. She's so warm, inviting, and genuinely cares about creating a welcoming spot for all of us. Whether you're craving breakfast, pizza, coffee, tea or gelato, Casa Mia deserves a visit. I love it when we get nice places to gather in the neighborhood :)

Took a jaunt (.5) mile walk to check out this bright, airy, and immaculate social spot. Weather grabbing a bite, meeting up, studying or simply grabbing a bite you'll be satisfied. The table next to me got a panini with fries and a bowl. Both were gorgeous and deliciously plated with dinner sized portions. I, however, kept it simple. I got pancakes without blueberries, 1 egg, and bacon. Everything is a la cart. I was expecting Big Box pancakes. These were anything but! They were perfectly cooked with a light crisp, very dense but airy. Vanilla sewn in each bite. They were THICK too. I was pleasantly surprised. Initially thought the price was exorbitant but the taste and appeal made up for it. Eggs were scrambled to perfection and seasoned too. I requested salt before I tasted them. So glad I didn't add any. Bacon was regular nothing major to rotate. Now the Sakura Latte wasn't as pretty as the one on Insta but it was delicious none the less. Not sweet but no earthy either. Cherry after taste but smooth due to the milk. I did add a sugar free vanilla syrup. The Cafe is beautiful. Contemporary and masculine furniture with feminine accompaniment due to the vast windows and pillows that let in a lot of natural light. Its definitely worth a stop if you're near. I really enjoyed my visit.

The attractive exterior reeled me over to check it out, the relaxed but chic interior lured me inside, and the very friendly :-) service & fair prices will bring me back. I think it's fair to say this is my favorite new coffee place in dc. Relaxed, family friendly, not overcrowded like some other tinier neighborhood coffee shops... And oh gee, did I mention they have their own roaster right inside? This is the closest place I've come across to take up the mantle of down-to-Earth, high quality, great value neighborhood coffee roasters since Qualia (RIP) closed their doors. I'm so happy when I find a place that feels warm and community oriented but doesn't cut corners on quality. 5 Stars- menu visible from the outside, and/or directly inside front door... visible protocol/ qr code or phone # to order from outside for people with dogs

The caramel latte is my favorite, their oat milk has a very rich taste. The Dirty Horchata was new for me. It reminded me of a Chai latte. I am not a huge fan of Chai, despite that it was still enjoyable. I've gotten their caramel latte with their lavender foam and it was good! Their chicken empanadas are a 10/10 and their breakfast sandwiches are great as well. Despite different baristas the consistency of their coffee keeps me coming. Their employees are also so sweet. I love to read in here as it isn't too loud and the vibe is really nice.
