She immediately greeted me as soon as I walked in and then went over all their options with me. They do open face sandwiches but she said any can be made into a regular sandwich. She gave me recommendations as well. I decided to go with the chicken open face sandwich but as a regular sandwich and the sea salt caramel latte to go. The latte was really good and was not weak. I ate the sandwich when I got home and it was also very good. The chicken and sumac onions were delicious! The place has plenty seating if you want to just work and drink coffee or order full meals with friends. There is also a good size patio in the front. It's definitely a nice addition to the area.

We enjoyed our morning at Yours Cafe, right before we walked up the street to the zoo. We love that…read morethey had their own coffee bean grinder in the back! The coffee was for sure a stand out. We each got the espresso with whipped cream. Heads up, for a coffee focused place the cream was definitely out of a can. But the coffee itself was amazing. For food we got a pistachio beignet, and a chocolate and pistachio croissant. The beignet is definitely not a beignet- it was a bit more bread like, though it still tasted good. And the pistachio cream, though delicious, was so runny. The croissant was good but also had the same pistachio cream issue. It dripped out. For food I had the bacon flaming tart, which tasted amazing! One thing to note- the menu says capers, but it's scallions. That was a welcomed error, since I love scallions! We also got drinks, and I enjoyed my pistachio beverage. Overall, I'd say out of the options nearest the zoo, this is one of the best.

The menu is filled with typical diner options but with upgraded twists. My partner had hash browns and a biscuit. Both were homemade. The biscuit was flaky and served with butter and jam. Everything was perfect but the kicker was the slightly sweet and sour bacon jam which added an amazing depth of flavor. The service was great and friendly with plenty of tables. They even have a full baking kitchen for all desserts, breads, and biscuits. Check out Unconventional Diner if you're in DC.

My friend had the oxtail grits which she's had before and loved it. My rating is mostly for the initial walk on and experience. However, our food and server was good! Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful staff, and delicious food -- definitely a spot worth putting on your brunch list. My date made the reservation for us, which turned out to be a very good idea because the restaurant was hopping! Definitely recommend making one ahead of time. We were both in the mood for a cocktail, but decided to explore the mocktail drink menu. He initially considered going with another coffee since it was still early, but ultimately went with an espresso martini. I tried the French 86, and both were great choices. The espresso martini was smooth and well made, while the French 86 was beautifully fruit-forward. And I have to give my date credit -- a man who isn't afraid to try my fruity cocktail! For food, we decided to share the avocado toast to start and added an egg, asking for it to be cooked a little more rather than very runny. We were glad we did because the toast was loaded with greens! It was definitely a little messy to eat, but in the fun, "this is actually delicious" kind of way. Nothing embarrassing... thankfully. He ordered the chicken and waffles, which he completely demolished. The sweet-and-savory combination was a big hit. I went with the French omelette, and it was delicious -- rich, flavorful, and surprisingly filling. I could only manage about half of it along with the salad! Overall, a wonderful brunch experience. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service was attentive, and there were so many tempting dishes coming out of the kitchen that we kept noticing things we wanted to try. I'd definitely come back to explore more of the menu.

No looking around for a waiter! I was really impressed with their attentiveness. The hospitality is truly impeccable. When I gave feedback that the caesar salad was way too salty, the manager understood precisely what had gone wrong and instantly replaced it. I would have liked two meatballs rather than one, which would have felt generous, but this was not intended to be a meal, after all. We also ordered the corn and jalapeno fritters (which were probably fabulous when they were originally conceived but not currently being executed well) and for dessert a fantastic zabaglioni. Little Coco's is casual but stylish, a fun place to go, as is to be expected at all of Jackie Greenbaum's spots. Aperitivo Hour is M-F from 5-7. Highly recommend!
