**I would give 4/5 stars if I was not gluten free** I was highly disappointed in this restaurant for their almost complete lack of gluten free options- in this day and age, most if not all restaurants have an option for gluten free pasta and pizza- to the point where I didn't even research beforehand because places are usually so accommodating. I ended up having an appetizer or two (salad-based), but could not eat any of the entrees. Gluten free people- do not come here unless you only want a salad-based appetizer or drink! & I would strongly recommend that the restaurant get a gluten free pasta and crust to have on hand.

I've had Little Coco's on my list for a while because of their happy hour deal, but we stopped in for Restaurant Week instead. We had the Coco's Meatballs, Ciabatta Tre Formaggi, Spicy Rigatoni Alla Vodka, and Coco's Chicken Parm. The dessert -- a deconstructed spumoni -- was the highlight of the meal. Everything else was good, but nothing really stood out. We were seated in the upstairs dining room, which was quite cold (we visited in mid-January). We appreciated the restaurant comping our dessert, though we did wait an unusually long time for it -- they were slammed during Restaurant Week and had some issues with a takeout order that needed to be remade.

Little Coco's is a cozy neighborhood Italian restaurant with a great HH. Their HH is M-F 5-7 pm and they offer bottomless drinks for $36. This deal also includes a serving of garlic bread, Caesar salad and meatballs for the table and $10 pizza. I had the meat and mushroom pizza and tiramisu and both are highly recommended. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

After a birthday massage at bluebell spa, my wife and I decided to go to Little Coco's for an impromptu date night. We did not have a reservation, but they were able to get us a seat outside and then moved us inside which was awesome. Very friendly staff. They do a great job taking care of their guest. My wife and I started with the Caesar salad and calamari. Typically, whenever I've had calamari, it's served with a dipping sauce but this one was tossed in a butter sauce. It was amazing. We then had the rigatoni and cacio e Pepe. The rigatoni was good but the pasta was al dente which I liked but my wife did not. We preferred the cacio e Pepe but what stole the show was the mt vasuvius. Best pizza I've had in a while. My wife love it. I highly recommend this spot.

Came in for a late night dessert and wine! We sat at the bar and it was so cozy & just the vibe we were looking for, esp with how Icy it has been! Staff was so kind and desserts were SO good!

Super yummy pizza. We came for my friend's birthday and they gave us a free dessert. Champagne was delish and not super expensive. Nice local spot - small. Pizza is so good!!

great neighborhood spot - prices are reasonable, food overall is solid, service is friendly and it can be quick. tons of space inside and out to sit, and they have great deals/happy hours standout dishes were the calamari (great flavor, texture isn't perfect though) and the bolognese (perfectly cooked pasta, flavorful sauce that stuck). the pizza was decent especially at the price. the vodka rigatoni was ok, and would skip the caesar next time but will be back to try more dishes. had a cocktail as well that was nice. overall a touch lower pricepoint than other pasta places in dc but quality is still great

Went on a Sunday night and they were having a deal ($55 for 2 people and it came with SO MUCH food). We were a trio (a lot of people do the deal and order a pizza). Anyways, I went rogue and ordered the butternut squash ravioli. I was between that and the white pizza - our server put me at ease saying if I didn't like it they would make the pizza happen. I took a photo but it doesn't do it justice. Clean plate club for every dish. Also, ordered the tiramisu that came with a small unexpected scoop of chocolate gelato. The Law of Diminishing Returns does not apply to this place. Service with a smile genuine smiles. Everyone was super friendly. Ambiance is terrific. Cozy but not stuffy. All the art was pizza themed and I really appreciated that touch. Lights were dimmed for dinner and the booth was plush and comfy.

I live 2 minutes from Little Cocos and I'm excited to have good Italian this close to me! We were able to be seated with no reservation on a Monday night. It definitely filled up later so could be a good idea to make one. I tried the basil gimlet which was delicious! My parents enjoyed their drinks as well. We started with Coco's meatballs which were tender and went really nicely with the creamy polenta. The tomato sauce is super rich and flavorful. We shared the meat and mushroom pizza and the goat cheese ravioli, which they change up seasonally. We had it with corn and pureed zucchini cream sauce. The pasta was fresh and the goat cheese had a really nice flavor! The pizza was great as well. Service was a little lacking. We had three different servers throughout our meal and it was a bit scattered as we didn't get any silverware prior to our app being served. Not a dealbreaker and I will be back to try more!

Super delicious food!! Please go here if you want fresh pasta and very relaxing vibes. We went on a Monday night where it was less crowded and good deals on the pizza and wine. The food was super flavorful and just hits the spot! Highly recommend the pasta and pizza!

Lobster omelette with arugula salad and potato pancake. Exceptional. Enjoyed every bite.

Ohhh emmm GEEEE. Soooo gooood!! Stopped in after the brunch rush today on a wintery dreary day. We had dodged the brunch crowd and were a little astonished to see the place nearly empty. We were greeted by "Doc" who seated us promptly and took care of us for an unforgettable hour or so in such a quaint, delightful spot. The food is absolutely divine. - Truffle artichoke bruschetta - I thought this was pretty good but not life changing. I did not taste much of the truffle essence although the quality was on point. - Lobster omelette with arugula salad and crispy potato pancake - totally awesome. Omelette was cooked to perfection with tasty chunks of lobster and seasoned perfectly, as were the accompanying salad and potato 'pancake' (really like a McD's has brown on steroids). - Spicy vodka rigatoni - Mind blowing. Best I have had anywhere and that is saying something. Spiced to absolute perfection and served HOT. Standout dish. - Vegetarian pizza - Excellent. We enjoy some of the best pizza in the country at home in SF so I'm a bit biased when it comes to pizza but this was solid. - Squid ink pasta - I ended up buying some to go and ate it just now for dinner. It was also flawless. All in all we absolutely loved this place and can't wait to return. We will, we assured our friendly server Doc who we bonded with by the end of the meal. Great food has a way of doing that - it brings us all together as humans. No small feat these days but Little Coco's pulls it off beautifully.

Came here with coworkers. Its a very unassuming place from the outside. But dont judge a book by its cover. Its some of the best neighborhood italian I have had in the city. Loved the chicken parm and the whipped ricotta. They also had good drinks.

My friends and I came here for brunch and bottomless drinks. Pros: - food: I got the chicken and waffles and it was delicious! The rest of the group also had positive reviews on their meals including the brunch pizza and the Italian baked eggs. - price: $19 bottomless, decent prices for food - decor: I think it's a cute place and I'd go back (if it was closer to me) to sit at the bar and order some pizza and drinks Cons: - service: it took a while to get refills for our drinks and we had to ask the bartender for a refill several times Overall I enjoyed it and would go back again if I find myself in this area of town again.

I went on a Monday before noon so it wasn't really busy. I will say the space is really open and modern which I liked and it's located within the Waterfront. My friend and I ordered a few dishes to share: Biscuits, Shrimp and Grits, and the Berry French Toast. Only one biscuit was soft and fluffy. The other was pretty dry and hard so we didn't finish it. The honey butter (I believe) was light and did compliment the biscuit very well. I just wished we could've enjoyed the same consistency across the two biscuits we ordered. The shrimp and grits was a solid portion. They didn't skimp on the jumbo shrimp or the sausage and this is definitely a dish you can share. I thought it was a little too salty for my taste but again, the meat in this dish was seasoned well. They used challah bread for their french toast which made it nice and dough-y. I thought this was the best dish that we ordered and again, can definitely be shared between two people. It's sweet on it's own, so if you don't have that extra sweet tooth, you won't need to add the syrup. I'd like to try this place again the next time I'm in town and maybe try out their mimosas and other entrees.

It was awesome to see the diversity of the diaspora from the African continent (East and West Africa) the Caribbean/Latin America, and America all in one safe space enjoying themselves without the performative and obnoxiousness from others I would give them that. The Billy Holliday mural and the interior design has a nice sleek, New American vibe. My problem is the service, the cost, and the food although solid, I cooked a brunch the following day myself not to brag (scrambled eggs and cheese, friend potatoes with diced green peppers and onions) that was masterful in comparison to the gingerbread style big ole French toast and fancy "scrambled eggs and cheese" this spot has. The service charge was ridiculous as my mom's bill was 70 plus bucks for just the seafood shrimp and grits which was nice, a very sweet pre-diabetic lemonade, and bread pudding that was like bougie Georgetown prices with the dominant culture. I paid 40 dollars (Hairstylist from Baby Boy!) for French toast, scrambled eggs with cheese and lemonade. The food is nice and all but nothing to die for. We came for the vibe, culture, and atmosphere also, but we do prefer the chains of Dennys and I-hop if I am not doing the cooking which is most of the time. The server would dirty mack and take a while flirting with women at the bar and playing around with staff, and I had to give a clinical gaze with my glasses and hand signal for him to return. We did ask up front about service charge and gratuity included from the beginning but they have a very Southern slow pace here that I agree with others and I am a very patient man and notice that. It can take a while to get your checks, get change, just other tasks that you would think would be handled more efficiently. The place attracts the social media crowd, with professional pictures, the glitz, the glamor the Hollywood red carpet of the DMV, but the structural integrity of the pricing, service, and experience needs to step its game up in the worst way. We certainly see this place being a bit turned up and precarious in later hours. The closest parking that is reliable enough is the Safeway garage so it is not the most convenient, where as at least Matchbox has the Wayne and Colesville garages to park at and then enter. It was nice to support the Black owned establishment but it is a 1 and done spot. Majic 102.3 put in the hype a couple of years ago, but I found the truth, no thanks, it is a performative culture that still has that ole Georgia Ave. street culture.

The space is gorgeous; I love all the plants, and the light brown, light blue, and white color combination for their furniture makes the space look classy and modern. The light brown leather couches are comfortable, and I love the way they circle around the tables to create a natural, cozy booth. Our food was just as beautiful as the space. The Restaurant Week menu comes with an appetizer, main, and dessert. Given how indecisive I can be (and how expansive the normal menu is), I was grateful to have my choices narrowed down a bit. I started off my meal with the octopus. The octopus was remarkably tender and not overly chewy, and had a delightful char that gave it a slightly smoky flavor. They double downed on the smokiness with their burnt chili oil, which, alongside the lemon and salsa verde, gave the dish a wonderfully balanced smoky, savory, and slightly acidic flavor. The crushed potatoes had a lovely crispy shell on the outside and served as a great base for the tender octopus. The main course was probably the easiest choice of the evening -- I'm absolutely obsessed with branzino, so the second I saw it on the Restaurant Week menu, I knew that was what I had to get. The fish is beautifully broiled, with a nice, crispy skin and super tender, flaky flesh. It's topped with a few pieces of roasted garlic and a wedge of lemon. The fresh lemon juice, as well as the lovely side salad, offered a great pop of freshness to bring the whole dish together. And finally, for our dessert, I chose the chocolate torta. This wonderful dessert is remarkably rich and decadent, with a strong dark chocolate flavor. It's topped with a lovely marsala date sauce and scoop of sheep's yogurt ice cream, but still doesn't feel overly sweet. The sheep's yogurt in the ice cream offers a bit of tanginess, and I loved the addition of the candied walnuts for a bit of crunch.

FYI, you can order the soft-serve when you order your pizza, but pick it up at the end of your meal so it doesn't melt. The food tastes great, but most of all, it's local and family-owned. Expect lots of people on a Friday evening but well worth the wait!
