    Chicken taco salad
    Drew H.

Place was pretty empty. Lady was on her phone and didn't acknowledge me for several minutes. I was meeting a friend, otherwise I probably would have walked out. Got chips and guacamole and the chicken taco salad. Chicken was tasty. Ambiance was nothing special. Overall expensive for what you get.

It's cute It's cute and the endless brunch is such a steal. It's definitely group friendly and more casual than romantic. Staff was attentive, the brunch food were well made.

Every time I come here-- I get great service and fabulous food! It's also a good spot for brunch but you may want to make a reservation. You'll get chips and salsa to start. My friend and I split the Loca Piña--- yummmmmm! And the mixed fajitas!! Everything was cooked beautifully and tasted incredible. You have your choice of corn or flour tortillas. Definitely a favorite of mine. I'll be back!

CKEVELAND PARK, WASHINGTON DC -- Great presentation. I mean, look at the photos. The meals at this Latin American cuisine joint come out looking swell. Nice plating. Food's a little lesser. My chicken saltado - loma saltado but with chicken instead of beef ($20) - was overly salty. The missus liked her ropa vieja ($20). Tender meat and seasoned well. Also gave thumbs up to the fried plantains. Ample portions and we took home leftovers. Interior's clean and decor's neat. Very much a 3.75 experience.

I've been here a couple of times and it's never really busy and I don't understand why because I like it! You will start with free chips and salsa while you mull over the very extensive menu... The mojito and fajitas are my favorite go to! The mojitos are flavorful and not too sweet. The mix fajitas come with beautifully seasoned chicken, steak and shrimp. Our server was very friendly but the service was a bit slow considering there was only one other table. This is more of a place to hang out versus eating quickly so I would probably go elsewhere if you're looking to get a bite to eat in a rush. Pro tip: The fajitas come with enough to serve 2 people but make sure you ask for extra tortillas as it only comes with 3.

After a long night, we stopped at 3321 bistro with some older kids at 8:30PM. We were tired and looking for something casual. The restaurant was mostly empty, but takeout orders were being prepared and there were a few tables of people socially drinking. The women who worked there took turns checking on us, making sure we had water, and just being generally lovely. The drinks looked great, but I was driving so I didn't try them. It was surprisingly kid friendly for so late on a weekend. We ordered 2 generously portioned kids meals, wings, and ropa viela. All were very good, fresh, and hot. The chips were freshly made and served with a brown salsa. There isn't much else to review. No complaints, a satisfying meal, a nice clean place to dine. Recommend to take a seat and try it if you're in the area.

I have mixed feelings about this establishment. Found them while looking for restaurants with bottomless margaritas for brunch. I called ahead for a reservation. We arrived with my party of 4. 3 of us got the bottomless brunch option. The last person in our party ordered the tuna dip as an appetizer. There was an extremely long wait for our first round of food. The server and manager came by to apologize and said the kitchen was backed up. This did not make sense as there were very few tables seated. The manager offered 10% off on the bill. When we food finally came, they said there was no tuna dip. That guest ordered beef empanadas instead. When those came out, they were literally still frozen in the middle. Once this was brought to the manager's attention, he offered a free item. We asked for the cheesecake. No one ever brought that. We later asked about a tequila shot. Those were provided free of charge. The service throughout the visit was very slow and our server, Elsa was very forgetful. She seemed very distracted and not attentive to the table, which seemed dismissive since we were having a bad experience to begin with. I did give the restaurant 3 stars because the food that we did receive (without issues) was good and the brunch was a good deal. However, when we asked for the bill, it was incorrect. The tuna dip was still listed and the discount was not taken off. Overall, I'm not sure that I would return.

However, the waitress was excellent with providing order recommendations and ensuring that we were taken care of. Drinks: I ordered the ranch water which wasn't anything spectacular. Just a simple non-sugary drink to enjoy while dining. I opted out of the fajitas but the rest of my party loved the steak and shrimp fajitas, which were part of the fajitas 2 deal. Plenty to share and I heard that the steak was cooked to perfection and the shrimp was seasoned well. I ordered the taco salad and that dish was PHENOMENAL! There is something to be said about a wet salad which manages to hold some crunchy texture to the taco strips. Also, it was perfectly chopped and all ingredients were mixed together so well. To complete the dish, I ordered a side of rice and chicken. Both were delicious but the chicken portion could use some work. Overall I'm curious to try their breakfast tacos so count me in on returning! They also offer a great happy hour so I recommend stopping by to enjoy their bar or even their cute outdoor seating.

I recommended to my friends who were in town that we check it out and we were able to get seated outside relatively quickly for a Saturday evening. Our table started with their drinks. Half of us got the pina colada and the other half had the margarita swirl. I'd say the pina coloda was pretty good; not too strong and the ones who ordered the margarita seemed to enjoy it. We all had eaten before arriving, so we didn't order too much. They also served complimentary tortilla chips with salsa so that was pretty good and gave us something to nibble on. I ended up getting the shrimp tacos and their tortilla soup. The shrimp tacos were good, but the tortilla soup was the highlight for me. It was very flavorful, and full of vegetables like tomatoes, carrots, and corn. It also had shredded chicken and cheese in it, and was so delicious. I would definitely order it again. Our server was also very friendly and regularly checked in on us. The reason for one star off is just due to the cleanliness of the cups and plates on our table. I noticed food residue still on it, and although I personally didn't use the cup or plate, I didn't care to see it on the table.

Mi Rancho's prices are reasonable, the portion sizes good, and the staff friendly and helpful. I appreciated the delicious complementary chips and salsa, and we were able to get refills. I would recommend Mi Rancho if you're looking for a family-friendly, laid-back dinner in Silver Spring.
