Food was A1. There was a small language barrier but that didn't matter. The food was definitely delicious and fresh. I would definitely would come again. Shrimp tacos and veggie taco was very fresh and cooked well. One thing to note the do now use flour tortillas only corn! I choose corn tortillas every day so I didn't mind! Also I got the street corn. It wasn't exciting! I don't recommend that but definitely recommend the tacos. The searing is bar style this isn't great for large parties. It's best to take your food to go if have a bunch of people. They do have outside seating but it's not ideal when it's cold because it's not covered.

I had a good experience at PX Tacos before and thought I would try it again before leaving a review and I'm glad I did! We ordered the pork belly nachos bc they were delicious before but this time it was a NO GO! First of all it was basically just sour cream and cheese thrown in the order with the tortilla chips. Barely any of the other toppings. Additionally in order double the meat because, why not? The order barely came with enough meat for 1 serving. Maybe 3 pieces of cut pork belly. Now here is the kicker which is why I opted to give it 1 star... the pork belly was bad...spoiled...not fresh! We eat pork belly in our house a lot and I know when meat is not good and this had the sour "I'm probably expired" taste to it. We just opted to toss it. It wasn't worth the risk for me. Very disappointing considering I did have a good experience prior and thoroughly enjoyed the food then.

The best breakfast burrito in DC, by an order of magnitude. The Al pastor is also fantastic. Give this place a try - you won't regret it.

The images are from two different days... maybe one week from each other. Y'all I think I found the BEST tacos in DC. The food is SOO good that I had to come back a few days later and bring my sister. The restaurant is small but there is seating for about 8 people. The customer service was really good both times I went. The staff was pretty helpful when recommending options and very patient and kind. I would always come back here. The Carne Asada (steak) tacos and the El pastor is AMAZING! The burritos are BIG and so good as well. My friend has the fish tacos and she loved them. 20/10 I do recommend!

Pintxo's was such a delightful discovery! I was hanging at my friend's house with a few others when she thought it would be a good idea to order some food. She mentioned there was a great taco spot just down the street that got the best Yelp reviews so I was immediately intrigued. Since we were ordering for a group, we mostly ordered items easy to share - tacos, nachos and a quesadilla. I wasn't too hungry, but once I realized that the food looked really good (and the order pretty plentiful) I went ahead and tried a fish taco which was absolutely delicious! It's hard to eat, socialize and pay close attention while posting Jenga but it was the flavorful droppings, and delicious fried fish that really did it for me. The nachos were not really my thing but the order had to be modified in a way to serve the group in ways that would not be my ideal order. But even still, everything was really good and I heard no complaints from a fairly particular group. Also, the women working that night were so sweet and warm which is always another good sign. I look forward to ordering from here again in the future!

Smallest burrito I've ever had, $13? Really? Never again

I didn't know you could order half of a burrito with most of being rice. Place is truly disappointing.

I was told to try the birria tacos here by a few HU students. The staff were kind and friendly. The restaurant was clean inside and outside. But the chicken birria tacos were underwhelming. EVERYTHING lacked flavor. I was literally just eating wet tasteless tacos. I will be returning to give them another try to see if they were just having a bad day.

It's good, simple and plain. The restaurant is clean and tidy. The color scheme is welcoming and vibrant. The staff is friendly and helpful. This place is deceptively spacious. I didn't realize there was an entire backyard patio and it took me three visits to pay attention to the fact that there's also a front patio that I bypass while being laser focused on hot fresh tacos. I'm adding this place to my neighborhood hangout spots with friends. I'm an avid people watcher so I'll be taking full advantage of these spaces this autumn as it seems the weather will never get cold again. Back to the food--I'm a simple guy; the el pastor and carné asada tacos are my favorite: simple yet delicious.

Great new taco spot in Petworth! Great family-owned-service, with some of the best tacos I've had in DC. Hat tip the shredded pork, and carne asada. Definitely worth your try.

The reservations were full, but we were offered a seat either at the bar or outside. Luckily it was a beautiful day so we took a seat outside. They started us off with a sweet hibiscus flavored juice as a palate cleanser which was super refreshing. The left side of the menu had appetizers and shareables, while the right side had entrees. We ordered the short rib tacos, pork belly, wagyu empanadas, and seafood enchiladas. Everything had a beautiful bright orange sauce on it and made it look like it would be spicy but it wasn't! I think it's their signature guajillo sauce and it was VERY good, super creamy. Seafood enchiladas: This was my fav. Might have been because it was extremely hungry and it was my first bite. Definitely best when eaten warm, as the cheese is gooiest and the seafood inside is hot. I wasn't sure how the salad was going to be but it added a perfect refreshing and acidity to balance out the creamy sauce. Wagyu empanadas: Much gooey-er and cheesier than expected, but also a hit! Came with a decent amount of beef inside. Comes with the orange sauce and a chimichurri, which I think was a good idea because given how cheesy and creamy the filling already was, the chimichurri was a nice balance as well. Pork belly: Melts as soon as you cut into it. The Asian in me low key wanted a giant bowl of rice with this so that I could soak up all the sauce and veggies. Pretty fatty so if you're not a fan of that you might not like this. Short rib tacos: These were loaded, not with meat but with tons of crunchy topping (maybe fried carrots?) Could have done with slightly less crunch but overall still good. The orange sauce on the bottom had a peanuty flavor which I thought added a unique kick. Also, we were surprised at how quickly the food came out. We were in and out in under an hour. Our server Rebecca was also extremely nice. Will def be back if in the area. Highly recommend all around!

All the tacos are unique and tasty - Braised Mushroom with feta, Creamy Kale & Potatoes, Roasted Beets with ricotta, Roasted Eggplant, Skillet Corn and Cauliflower, Lemon Garlicky Greens, Smoky Collared Greens taco, Butternut Squash with goat cheese and caramelized onions. The only taco that I'm not a big fan of is the Scrambled Egg with Black Beans. It's very bland and the eggs are cold. The new Lunch combos are great - I got the Mushroom Quesadilla with Kale Salad. The Kale Salad had a spicy kick! There's a nice large tank of complimentary ice water instead of the faucet. The hibiscus tea is refreshing and sweetened with honey. The coconut lime aqua fresca is refreshing as well and a nice summer mocktail. I've had the blueberry margharita slushie at the Gtown location and really enjoyed it. But hold on - they have a roster that will leave you full, even if you are a self-professed carnivore. I got a trio of different options and loved every one of them. The prices are reasonable (for this area) as well. I also like the space. It was bright and spacious, with almost an independent coffee shop vibe. If I needed to telework, I could see myself hanging here (but eating tacos instead of sipping lattes). Put away any misconceptions about 'vegan' and try it.

Fair sized joint with a smallish patio out front. Having perused the menu on the way, I was looking to try something just beyond "staple of cheap Mexican."
