Hot Latte and Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on and Everything Bagel.

Such a great cafe with amazing coffee and food! I tried a latte as well as the bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel and it was all DELICIOUS!! The owner was so lovely and created such a warm environment. Definitely stop by this cafe if you're in the Silver Spring area, I can't wait to go back!

This cafe have the cutest owners who are so kind and hospitable! I got a regular coffee with a splash of oat milk. The coffee tasted amazing and the overall environment of the cafe was so cute. The breakfast sandwiches look so good as well and made to order. There is a cute outdoor seating area which is great! Tip: $10 credit card minimum

I was in downtown Silver Spring and saw large sign that read "Gelato" outside of Kefa café so I had to try it -and oh my goodness I'm so glad I did. They serve the best authentic gelato ever. Tastes like the gelato I had when I was in Rome. Pro tip: Bring cash; $10 min at this location.

Kefa Cafe serves delicious Ethiopian coffee and tons of yummy foods & pastries. They have the most warm and welcoming environment. As soon as you walk in the door, it feels like home. I got the opportunity to talk to one of the owners, Lene, and I'm so glad I did. She radiates kindness and positive energy. It's awesome to be able to support a small, Black owned business and woman owned business in the community. I got a DELICIOUS egg sandwich on a bagel and a cup of coffee.

I was waiting around for a friend and say this cafe. The lady behind the counter was very sweet and asked me about my day and suggested her favorite sandwich. They make everything fresh. I can't wait to go back.

I have to say this is the best sandwich I had in Silver Spring. We had a short conversation with the owner, I can tell she enjoys what she is doing.

Very neat little coffee shop that has all the espresso beverages you need to get through the day without going nearby to the green siren lady. My latte was tasty and rich with a very firm foam. Well done considering that it was skim milk. The vegan blueberry muffin was also very tasty though extremely messy to eat. Nothing that's not solved by a few napkins. Cool place. Good coffee. #YelpLocal

Sweet ethiopian woman serving delicious espressos. A nice find for a caffeine spike on a bike ride through the rock creek park. Nice.

I was told this charge does not go to the waiter but is instead shared with other staff (busser, host, etc.), and that customers are expected to leave an additional tip for the server. I initially left a 20% tip because I did not notice the automatic 18% service charge. To make matters worse, I was initially given the wrong receipt, which added to the confusion. When I realized the service charge had already been included and asked for the extra tip to be removed, the waiter told me he does not receive any portion of the 18% charge. I asked whether the expectation was for customers to leave a total of 38%, and I was told that is how it works at this restaurant and in Washington DC. I found the billing and tipping process confusing and misleading. I won't be back.

I would describe them as a combination of classic and elevated Latin food. The vibe of the restaurant is very casual, but the presentation of many of the dishes takes it to another level. They also have a wide selection of beer and wine. I have had tacos, octopus, breakfast tacos, and tamales. Everything was flavorful and quite tasty. I will admit service was a little slow the last time I went, but given the weather and the fact that we weren't in a rush it wasn't a big deal. If you haven't been yet, you should go. The colorful presentation reminds me of Palette 22, and rumor has it they are expanding to the Ethiopian restaurant that closed next door. I hope that's true!

Could work on those fried plantains as they were a little soggy. The quinoa salad was good, a bigger portion would have been nice for the price paid and maybe if it would be easier to eat if served in a bowl. The chorizo sandwich was okay. Presentation and bread could be better. We left curious about their regular menu so we may give it a try some other time. Their staff were nice but not very knowledgeable about their menu items. They didn't really know how to answer my question about their vegan tres leches and told me it was not actually vegan after indicating it had condensed milk and heavy cream.

We had neighbors getting construction this week so I worked there Wednesday morning for some peace. The menu is small, but mighty, the service is iffy, and the pastries are store bought and stale. The front of house guy who brings the food and prepared the drinks is awesome, accommodating, and polite. I ordered egg and cheese on croissant, which came with salad and fruit. I also got my standard americano with room for cream. The food was well made, the perfect temperature and had just right seasoning levels. The americano was a bit cold so I figure he'd let it set while the food was being made to run them together. I had asked for cream, it was forgotten, they don't have any Splenda, only sweet n low, and their teaspoons are tablespoons, but the food was good. I also ordered a muffin later just to see what their pastries were about. It had clearly been in the pastry case for more than 3 days. It was REVOLTINGLY stale. I returned and advised and he offered a "fresh one" - from the fridge, in plastic, from a bakery in NEW JERSEY. They'd be better off selling Costco muffins. That muffin was HORRIBLE. Sickeningly sweet, 7 blueberries that were clearly rehydrated in the batter, and tasted like oil and preservatives. Sad. However, I came to work! There were two tables there when I arrived, they left within 15/20 minutes. The bathroom was not clean AT ALL - toilet bowl was gross and it was 10:00 am and they were out of soap and toilet paper. Ewwwww. I pray there was a hand washing sink in the kitchen. Also, the cook or whomever was in the back was watching something on tv, yelling in Spanish loudly, and generally making a racket. This did not make for an easy or enjoyable working environment. The layout is lovely, the chairs are comfy, the tables are just the right size for individuals or small groups (read 2 people) so the vibe is work/co-work, but then the dude is yelling in the kitchen!!! The other thing is, there was NOBODY in the place but me and one other dude who'd long since eaten, and the tables from the other people hadn't been wiped. They were bussed, but not wiped. The floor wasn't swept. It was just a general aura of idgaf but that's young workers in 2023 I guess. The concept is good, but the execution is struggling. I want to hope it's a bad day but who knows. I would try again if I was in the area but would definitely not go out of my way given the parking plus the issues above. Okay, not Great.
