This is SUCH a cute spot. The decor is so beautiful and welcoming. It was a rainy Sunday morning but it was so busy and filled with people! We got simple lates and a crumb cake but they were delicious! They have a great menu so we will sure to be back and try more.

La Coop is super cute. The chai tea wasn't as tasty as when I used to get it at their old location. I love this new location though it's very cute and has nice places to sit and a patio. I wish the croissants were freshly baked.

Once inside a house nearby, this is La Coop Coffee's new location, a corner shop along Kennedy Street NW. Walk inside and you'll find a spacious coffee shop with beautiful decorations, plenty of tables, and natural light. The coffee is sourced from farmers in Guatemala connected to the owners and it's good coffee! My latte is consistently delicious! They also sell pastries and more.

Big fan of my neighborhood spot here, even though they moved a few blocks farther away from me :) Overall a great local, independent coffee shop! I love the new space--it's pretty spacious with board games, toys for kids, and plenty of seating of different types. Location is also convenient, as it's in the main strip on Kennedy near the record store, ice cream shop, pizza place, etc. The coffee tastes great and is ethically sourced, which is so important. I'm so glad they expanded their menu, too! There are more pastries on offer (including vegan scones) and bites for lunch like sandwiches and empanadas. My only wish is for more substantial plant based options!

    The new entrance!

I had a very good latte from here recently although it took like 20 minutes due to their training a new barista. Beautiful space.

I do have to admit I liked the previous location better, it was such an exceptional setting for a café, feeling and looking like a nice residential house.

Took a jaunt (.5) mile walk to check out this bright, airy, and immaculate social spot. Weather grabbing a bite, meeting up, studying or simply grabbing a bite you'll be satisfied. The table next to me got a panini with fries and a bowl. Both were gorgeous and deliciously plated with dinner sized portions. I, however, kept it simple. I got pancakes without blueberries, 1 egg, and bacon. Everything is a la cart. I was expecting Big Box pancakes. These were anything but! They were perfectly cooked with a light crisp, very dense but airy. Vanilla sewn in each bite. They were THICK too. I was pleasantly surprised. Initially thought the price was exorbitant but the taste and appeal made up for it. Eggs were scrambled to perfection and seasoned too. I requested salt before I tasted them. So glad I didn't add any. Bacon was regular nothing major to rotate. Now the Sakura Latte wasn't as pretty as the one on Insta but it was delicious none the less. Not sweet but no earthy either. Cherry after taste but smooth due to the milk. I did add a sugar free vanilla syrup. The Cafe is beautiful. Contemporary and masculine furniture with feminine accompaniment due to the vast windows and pillows that let in a lot of natural light. Its definitely worth a stop if you're near. I really enjoyed my visit.

But what really sets it apart is the owner herself and her team. She has a genuine warmth that you feel the moment you walk in, and they all clearly take pride in making sure every guest leaves happy. Recently, the owner told me that this summer marks her first full year in business, and it's easy to see why she's made it. If you stop in, tell her congratulations!

There's plenty of seating, though I wish their back tables were smaller because then one person using their laptop takes over an entire four-top. Service is a bit slow when the place gets crowded. We left a little early when a large group of book club folks came in and tried to take every available chair they could (they should've called ahead to give the staff a heads up). Food is decent enough, especially the tasty shakshuka with lentils, but the omelet was quite dry. And maybe it's just me getting old, but the classical background music was way too loud for a Sunday. There's enough people chattering to keep the place lively. This space was empty for awhile, so I'm glad Yours Cafe is here, and I wish them success.
