This place is super cute! It's small, but cozy, also has some outdoor seating. Inside it looks like your average coffee shop, they have TVs, the TVs have closed captioning. The service was fast and friendly! They were helpful and accommodating! The bagel I got and the coffee were both delicious! We end up going back the next morning!

Vibe in here is nice. I like the 90s/2000s coffee house vibe too much to hate too hard. BUT expensive. I asked for whipped cream and it's so little that it's offensive I was up-charged. :/

Nice alternative to the chain coffee shops. Coffee is great! I have had the bagel breakfast sandwiches a couple of times they do the trick if you have a craving. The outdoor patio has the coolest vibe that just can't be matched by most other cafes in the area. The only downside to the patio is that there are no outlets to plugin. So it would be wishful thinking to plan to stay and work here for several hours, especially with my old laptop with a severely dysfunctional battery. I ordered a capuchino with vanilla flavoring . It's my ultimate favorite and I wanted to see the difference in flavor with this cafe. It was awesome and expensive! They have seating inside as well but who would want to be inside on a n awesome Sunday like today?

Such a cute coffee shop. The location is small on the inside, but they offer plenty of outside seating. The menu had a lot to offer and had accommodations for dietary needs. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

This is for sure one of my favorite coffee place in the DC. Located in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of the city, this place offers you a cosy and worm place for a cold winter or late fall morning. Old-fashioned interior, great Illy coffee and the variety of pastries, bagels and other types of breakfast or brunch available. Personnel is busy, but very attentive. They also offer their loyalty program and takeout. And if it is too worm and smoky for you inside, enjoy the patio!

The best neighborhood coffee spot! Everyone knows your name:) Super variety of coffees, REAL bagels, sandwiches, breakfast options, sweets, seasonal drinks . . . Located in a cozy, walkable neighborhood. This is special little place helps us ~ slow down, relax & smile. Thank you Jasmine

Solid neighborhood spot! Got some tasty breakfast bagels. Service was quick. The vibe seems more of a either pick up or work space - not really a hang out space for a conversation. Lots of folks were working. Felt a bit crowded but other than that, cute little spot.

    The rude lady.

The lady that took my order was extremely rude. I ordered an iced matcha latte and she gave me hot. I kindly said "I apologize, I ordered an iced latte". She responds saying outwardly that I ordered hot. I said "I ordered ice". She still repeats saying that I ordered hot. When she finally went back to correct my order, she rolls her eyes. When she was in the kitchen, she would walk past me without saying excuse me. I finally asked for a refund which took 15 minutes "so she can find the order" . She told me she could not find it (even though I had ordered 10 minutes ago). I had to go on her computer and obviously show her my previous order. I will never come here again. She is super rude will never bring my business here again.

They were playing bossa and jazz. I opted for the Aren latte and Indonesian beef rissole. Aren latte: 5/5 Latte with an in-house made Aren (palm sugar from West Java) for that hint of molasses and dark brown sugar This was one of my favorite coffees I've had in a while. There was a delicious coffee taste not overshadowed but rather enhanced by the smoky sweet taste of the Aren. I'll be thinking about this latte for a while. Indonesian beef rissole: 3/5 Batter-like skin rolled in breadcrumbs filled with savory ground halal beef & sautéed vegetables While I've never had this dish before, I googled pictures of what it should look like, and mine seemed to have significantly less meat than it should've. The taste was still delicious and seasoned and hearty, but it was mostly mush with some veggies and hardly any beef. While I thought the rissole was disappointing, I love the aren latte so much I'll still keep the 5 star review.

I'm in search of the best croissant in DC, so I regret not getting the regular croissant on this visit, but the chocolate croissant gave me an idea of what to expect. Buttery, flaky, crispy, with just the perfect amount of sweetness. The typical chocolate croissant was my personal favorite. The cafe itself is huge, absolutely beautiful, and was packed when I visited. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, so it's a great spot whether you're meeting friends or getting some work done. The pastry case also looked incredible, I had such a hard time choosing, and I'll definitely be back to try more. I ordered a matcha, and I really appreciated that it wasn't pre-sweetened. It was creamy, earthy, and let the matcha shine. If you like your matcha a little sweeter, I'd recommend adding their in-house pistachio syrup. The only small downside was that it seemed like they use matcha concentrate that's prepared in advance rather than whisking each drink fresh. It was still good, but I do prefer freshly whisked matcha. Even with that, I'd absolutely come back. Their menu is extensive, everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious, and the whole space has such a welcoming vibe. Also, take a minute to read the story behind the name "Tatte."
