They have some unique twists on classic breakfast food that seemed interesting and their summer non alcoholic drink list is really good! Highly recommend the green juice. For food, I had their trifecta which is eggs, meat and waffle or pancake. The sausage came out warm but not hot. They messed up my wife's order of the pick 2 lunch but things happen. Overall a decent experience especially because our server was so great. However, the wait time is insane. They know this so they offer free coffee and books for kids in the waiting area which was a nice touch. I do love the setup and look of the Silver Spring First Watch. We got there about 1030am and it was a wait so we decided to sit at the bar which was open. I ordered tea, smoked salmon frittata and smoked salmon benedict. Since they have a small selection of STEEP teas that I don't prefer, I ended up getting a boozy drink called Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk. The smoked salmon frittata was ok and I felt that it needed more red onion. I was very impressed with the set up of the place. As per usual, the place got busier as the day went on. Make a reservation if you can! I walked in Saturday morning and was told the wait was ~15minutes. I ended up waiting around 35minutes. It was worth the wait though. Blueberry cornbread: really good! Not very sweet so I could have eaten the whole thing. Tomato soup: I'm not a huge fan of tomato soup but it's the only soup on the menu so I decided to try it. Another first watch location but now even closer to home! They've left quite a positive reputation in my eyes with their brand but I was quite happy with how the food came out at this location. My boyfriend and I are both healthcare workers that have long hours and odd shifts where we don't actually always get to have a sit down meal. During these times, we try to take advantage of eating together, so he placed an online order for pickup. Food was ready by the time we arrived. My go to is their chicken protein bowl with quinoa. It is so delicious, low calorie and filling (I can never finish it all). From what I've seen outside, the restaurant can get busy but they do a great job managing their orders. To start, we were seated and waited 15 minutes for someone to address our table, our waitress didn't even introduce herself though she took our orders and though we received our food items we NEVER received any type of water until we were on the way out the door (literally in to-go cups) and we believe the manager received it for us as we had gone the whole meal without it. We each ordered a speciality juice, but that was gone quickly and we spent the rest of our meal with no water whatsoever. Furthermore, our orders were wrong, and the waitress made it seem as though it was a convenience that she would remove the items that we didn't order (extra seasonal bacon) from our receipt without charging us for it meanwhile it was something we never ordered. I ended up with some type of blueberry walnut pancake when I ordered a plain--I'm so glad I wasn't allergic to nuts or blueberries--and the server never came around for me to get it corrected. All in all, this was the very first time I've have a subpar experience at First Watch and I've been going to locations since I was a kid. Our server never checked on our table she took our orders, delivered the food and delivered the check so there was no personability of the service at all. I have patronized First Watch in other locations, but this is my first time at the Prosperity Drive (Silver Spring, MD) location. I was quite disappointed, but I hope others' experiences are better. I was greeted and seated promptly (no reservation) by a cheery hostess. The coffee was good, and I appreciated that First Watch had oat milk. My server was pleasant, but perhaps new. I informed her I was gluten-free and asked her to check if the tomato basil tortilla was GF (no). I then told her I needed a few more minutes. She gave me no advice about the GF breakfast items on the menu, or helping me with the GF symbols. I ordered (for the first time) the Million Dollar Breakfast Sandwich on GF bread. It arrived without an egg, and I thought the sandwich looked a little short, but without the menu, I did not remember it was missing the egg. I could only eat 1/4 of the sandwich because it had so much honey on it. I was feeling a bit nauseous and asked if I could get another one to go, but this time without honey, then I asked if I could just have one teaspoon of honey on the side, in a small container. The server confirmed this was to go (Yes) and told me there would be no additional charge. Of course the replacement sandwich, which I did not taste until I got home) also had honey on it (NOT on the side, as requested). I just felt like the staff--at least my server, food busser, and cook--needed more training. I don't know how a busser does not notice that a breakfast sandwich special is missing an egg. I don't know if the server forgot to relay the "honey on the side" message to the cook, or if the cook just disregarded it, but either way, it was a communication breakdown, not to mention a HUGE omission by the cook on the first sandwich (no egg). My ticket number was #60023 on 6/26 at 11:35a, table 22 in case management wants to refund my money. I am unsure if I will eat there again. All right, that's it. read more

This is relatively new place - about 5 months. The place is bright and airy vibe. A great place and a great way to start my day. For my first visit, the service was great. However, for the second visit, there was a disconnect. The waiter that took my order took a interview and forgot about the table that he had - me! I had to flag down someone else to get a refill, a to go order, and my check.. I hope this is one unique situation and not happen again. I always love the food here. The parking lot is big so no issue finding a parking space. Upon entering we were seated quickly and the interior is very modern & clean. My entree was the tri-fecta of scrambles eggs, waffle, and bacon. The bacon was seasoned nicely and crispy. Eggs were hot and also season well. I use to go to the first watch in Rockville but now with this new location closer to home I will be more frequent in the future. I stopped by First Watch for a Monday afternoon brunch and was surprised to see how busy it was--it had a good crowd for a weekday! I was seated right away, which was great since they don't take reservations. The restaurant was freezing, though. By the time I finished eating, I felt like I'd turned into an ice cube. Definitely bring a sweater, even in summer. I tried the new watermelon drink, and it was actually really refreshing. You could tell it was made with fresh fruit--super light and tasty. For food, I ordered the Floridian French toast. It looked nice with all the fresh fruit on top, which I really enjoyed, but the toast itself was just okay. It was also a little cold, which made it less enjoyable. I added pork sausage on the side--good flavor, but also not as warm as I'd hoped. It seemed like the food had been sitting for a bit, but I was too hungry to wait for a new plate. What really stood out was the service. I wrote to Yelp on 4/19 of this issue, and they corrected early this morning, 4/21. Below is my 5-star review I wrote on 4/19 for the other one, which had the correct Prosperity Drive address originally: F is for First Watch (3 of 3 locations) for this alphabet series: Introduction to the geography of the area: This is the newest location of First Watch in the area opening about 2 months ago. It's in the brand new White Oak Town Center. My girlfriend who lives on the west side of US 29 was complaining that they are calling it White Oak, when it should be Fairland Town Center. As it turns out, Fairland is mainly on the west side of 29 until you get up north to around MD-200. White Oak I thought was all southwest of Paint Branch, but northeast of Paint Branch, it says MVA -White Oak, a couple of the hotels have White Oak as location in their name, as well as the hospital. And the census designated place, shows Calverton goes all the way to the west at 29, so this may technically be considered Calverton. And it's got a Silver Spring mailing address, which I'm ok with it being called that, as Silver Spring is unincorporated place unlike Laurel, which is an incorporated City in Prince George's County. So, for simplicity, I'll refer this as White Oak or Silver Spring. Experience here on Sunday, March 9, 2025: My g/f & I got here, never been in this new White Oak Town Center. It's got a few businesses but is very nice. We walked in the First Watch, said our name, and they said we will let you know when a table is ready. Maybe only a minute later, they texted me saying the table is ready! I was pleasantly surprised at how quick that was. The server was very friendly answering the couple of questions about the new drink they had. She let me sample the 2 so I could compare, Purple Haze with some new special drink they had. Both were good, but I went with the new one. The server quickly brought our food. I got the Trifecta as did my g/f with my BOGO birthday deal. I got my usual, pancake, eggs, & turkey bacon. She's more into waffles over pancakes, so she got the waffle. It was delicious per usual. She was quick with water refills, check, and friendly on top of that. After we left our table to pay, they were already cleaning the table, which was quick. We went to the restroom, which was clean, and they already were seating new customers. We left the table and within 3 minutes of paying/restroom, they cleaned and already got new people there. I was impressed they were running a tight ship here. Definitely would come back to this location over my closest location in Laurel (see my 3-star) or other locations (which I've given or would 4-stars). A bit too oily and salty for my tastebuds. I couldn't finish but they were good leftovers. Just make a couple more eggs the next day and eat like it was just prepared. Service was great. Let's start off with the host! I was really pleased with how quick I was seated. It was a Thursday before I walked in I saw a lot of people and thought I would be waiting but happy I didn't have to and was seated quickly. The place itself is very rustic modern and love the design of the place. Feels open and homey. Overall a drink made well with the balance of flavors. Now onto the food. Man... where to begin. The food was so flavorful! It came out hot but not to the point where you can't eat but it was fresh off the griddle. The biscuit was soooo fluffy and the gravy itself is sooo delicious and flavorful! I got scrambled eggs with my biscuit. The scramble eggs were nice and fluffy and with the gravy they were amazing. Now the potatoes! Sooo crispy and delicious and perfect amount of salt. Honestly when eating them a core memory of my childhood came to mind. The seasoning reminds me of food from my great grandpa's restaurant. Now onto The French toast! It was really flavorful and delicious! I tried it without the sauce they provide on the side and was flavorful without it. I ended up going home and eating it with syrup and it was not needed in my opinion. Since the bread itself is sweet enough as is with all the fruit that was nice and ripe ! Overall I really enjoyed my time here and the food was really good! Only thing I would say is that my server was really good in the beginning but she left without leaving me with another server or didn't acknowledge that she would be leaving. Our only issue was that the day we were there, the air conditioning was broken and the restaurant was very cold. Our food came out fairly warm but cooled off too fast (not good with breakfast foods; especially eggs). The manager said she could not adjust the air any. Only been open a week, so their service is still finding its footing in terms of speed, but the servers are kind, willing to answer any questions you have. The food is delicious and well prepared. If you've been to any other First Watch, you'll know what it's like inside. Nice modern design, comfy seats, and a bright, well lit dining room. Right now they are still applying for their liquor license (as indicated by a sign outside) so no boozy drinks, and as they are still getting their bearings there's no special seasonal menu, but everything we had was great. So disappointing - everything was great when the restaurant opened - what happened? This restaurant has changed quite a bit. Issues - long wait time after being seated, serving burnt food, wait staff disappearing for long periods of time - after being served, untrained new wait staff. Yesterday was the second time, in my past two visits, that I received burnt food, starting to feel personal. Also, had a new wait staff member and it took 3 tries to get my check correct.
