I wanted to stop in and try breakfast at this place and I honestly wish I never did . Im expecting to get normal breakfast prices instead I got MAJOR RIPOFF BREAKFAST PRICES , I DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE GOONG BACK TO SOEND ANY MORE HARD EARNED MONEY WITH THIS BUSINESS.. where do I start ? $19.99 for 2 eggs , threes little pancakes , shaved steak and cheese meat = complete ripoff ( no toast , no potatoes, no grits , No sliced apples , no hash browns.18.99 for 3 pieces of french toast and 1 bacon egg n cheese bagel ( Nothing else with it ) = COMPLETE RIPOFF . I asked 4 different employees why the meals are so high when U dont get anything with It ? ( of course no one answered and everyone acted like I was crazy ) Total waste of $40 bucks I even mentioned that I will NEVER RETURN TO THIS RIPOFF ESTABLISHMENT .. selling very small skimpy breakfast plates for Generous gourmet prices ( Hell no Im good ) Never going back.. ever ... big waste of money .. Instead If You are in the AREA Just make the drive to BROOKLAND GRILL ( You will thank Me later ) IM SO MAD I DIDNT JUST GO THERE AND GET A REAL BREAKFAST THATS WORTH IT . All BROOKLAND GRILLS PRICES ARE AWESOME TOO ( best breakfast spot ) ARDMORE CARRY PRICES AND PORTIONS are STRAIGHT garbage and ridiculous ... dont wasteyour money on this super basic super expensive breakfast ... U have been warned .. I had to be pissed to write all

I have driven by this place so many times over the years and never patronized because they were often closed. After eating here for the first time I understood they close around 3pm. On this occasion I visited in the morning for breakfast. What I love about this place is the efficiency and customer service. The register workers were very friendly and helpful. This place was very busy on this morning and it seems to be their normal morning rush. I ordered online and it seems many people do. The inside of the restaurant reminds me of a bodega where you can order food, purchase snacks, and convenience store items. The food, on the other hand, could have been a better experience. I get it, this place is a quick breakfast option and they probably overachieve with their simple breakfast items like sandwiches, however the quality just wasn't there. The attention to detail and preparation just wasn't there. I was very much disappointed in the quality, flavor, and presentation of the pancakes and French toast. The French toast was essentially traditional toast. I can't say I could differentiate between the two. I contemplated giving a 2* review, however, I appreciate their good customer service. Realistically, with a few minor adjustments on execution, the sandwiches and platters can be a hit which is disappointing to say. I will give them another try. You should give them a try.

My Husband order from here yesterday 01/26/24 and one of your disrespectful workers wrote this on his receipt

We also brought home some turkey, and their two kinds of brisket. Sweet baby Jesus. The wagyu brisket is buttery, melt in your mouth delish and the prime brisket is more traditional. Moist is the only way to go. While they have sauce, all their meats are so well seasoned you'll never want any. Make the drive and enjoy every dollar spent for the meat sweats.

But now I seem to find it conveniently on 19th whenever I'm walking over there! Right now they're there on Mondays and Thursdays -- I recall searching for them on other days, but I didn't see them at the locations their website said they would be. But since it's been consistently coming to 19th Street, I have had the opportunity to have it twice, and I had the JerkBowl each time. The chicken comes off the bone so easily, and it is indeed JERKED! It's got a great taste, and the yellow rice it comes with compliments it very well. I will be trying their mac and cheese and greens in the near future, hopefully. I hope that they continue to get great business because this is food that should not be ignored! They seem to also actively become familiar with their regulars and they're super polite.

Located at 6120 Marlboro Pike., District Heights M.D. nestled between a tattoo parlor, and a couple other stores you'll find @luvplatesgrill with their beautifully designed black & orange signage!! This spot is momentarily take out only, they accept cash, and credit/debit, and they also have catering available. Their menu is concise, simple, and effective. They have sizable bowls like their DC Gumbo (with turkey sausage, and hormone free chicken $15), and their Homestyle Jerk Chicken (24 hour marinated wings smothered over red beans & rice $15). They also have some signature sandwiches like their "Jimmy Blue"(Maryland lump crab cake $20), and their "Fall off the Bone"(24 hour LuvRub-Ribs-w/BBQ sweet sauce $10). The sides include their World Famous Mac n Cheese (pictured-$8 reg. size), "Mamas Greens"(pictured-$8 reg. size), and their flavorful Red beans & Rice ($4 reg. size). On this trip I copped their Mac n Cheese, a Homestyle Jerk chicken sandwich (pictured-$6 on potato bread), and their 3 for $20 deal where I chose the Pan-seared Salmon ($3 extra), Mamas greens, and the 24 hr. Jerk chicken with the Red beans, and rice. So I started by dipping into the greens...FRESH, and seasoned to perfection!! I then took a bite out of the jerk chicken sandwich...I didn't want to stop!! It was glistening with flavor, a hint of bbq mixed with the jerk made for a tasty sandwich. Then I put a fork to the jerk wings, and watched the meat fall off the bone right into the red beans and rice. Spiced right, savory...it hit the spot. So I'm not a huge Salmon fan, but their pan seared fish with peppers, jerk sauce with a hint of bbq...made me a bigger fan!! Deliciousness!! Lastly I tackled that Mac n Cheese...I was leery via the price, and the "World Famous" title. When you go...GET IT...it's worth it. Customer service was phenomenal, they patiently explained their meals, and spotlighted the freshness of their food (which you can definitely taste). Parking is tricky, it's a very small lot they share. GO!! TRUST!! That's it.

The mild carries no real heat, but the sauce does all the talking and it is excellent. The brisket was moist, flavorful, and clearly handled with care. They offer their own BBQ sauces, which are cool, but that wing sauce is what I was dreaming about. A side of it with the brisket would have been something special. Consider this my gentle plea. This restaurant is located in the shopping center nearby the Bank of America. It's easily accessible for persons with ADA needs. The service was friendly as I was greeted by nearly all of the staff. There is lots of available dining space is you choose to eat in the restaurant. I decided to order al a carte having the brisket (fatty) point and Smoked wing(ettes). The brisket was very tasty and tender; however, the fat wasn't rendered properly. Despite not having a better fat render the slices from the point were juicy, developed a bark decent that was slightly gritty, absorbed good smoke, and enjoyable. The smoked wing was good and I did noticed quite a bit of feathers left on the wing itself. I'm not sure if this was due to a more affordable lower quality product or not properly inspecting the meats they cook presented to the customers. I did have the boba Thai tea which was very delicious and did not make the posted photos. Next time I'll order it half sweet but man was it good. Overall this is not a bad spot to have bbq. Note I did not try the pork ribs today so I do not have a fair review to give them. The looked and smelled amazing. Overall 3.2 of 5 from today's experience. My considerations: inspection of the meat qualities especially for the poultry products. For the brisket at some point later during the cook bumping the temps up a bit higher to help render the fat more or simply trim out the untended fat at the end of your cook. Also though the bark looked good and you had a good salt content just monitor the seasoning stage to avoid some of the grittiness developed on the bark. Could be fixed with a larger course grind without sacrificing flavor. I can't wait to return and try it out again. Thank you for serving me
