Let me start by saying your sandwich is made to order and the space is a little small. With that said, take a seat and be ready to wait a bit because it's worth it or go walk for a little bit, but I'd just wait inside as the owners are great. We ordered a chicken salad sandwich and the Hyattsville stack. The stack sandwich is huge but my husband loved it. I loved the chicken salad as it wasn't chicken breast from a can but hand shredded chicken. The chicken salad had herbs and love mixed into it, you can tell. The potato salad I got on the side was great and my husband enjoyed his kale salad. You can get your sandwich turned into a bowl if you'd like or keep it a sandwich. They have day of desserts and they smell amazing. You have various bread choices to have your sandwich made on. I love that turkey bacon is an option and all turkey sandwiches are an option. My tattoo artist highlights this restaurant when you're coming in for a session and I know why now. This little gem is great and they take sandwich making seriously as it's an art for them. I saw this cafe I believe on the Hyattsville Wire Instagram. I love sandwiches so I placed Between the Bread on my list of places to try. I was greeted by the two employees. It was an older man and a young lady. They were very nice. I wanted to try the seafood lovers but they didn't have any. So I got the shrimp salad on croissant. The bread was amazing. For my side, I got the potato salad. I also got a slice of cake and an Arnold Palmer. I can't wait to return! read more

Those of you familiar with old Hyattville the location for between the bread Café is just a couple stores down from Franklin's which is an institution in the area The owner is always on site working hard to make truly outstanding sandwiches. The day I was there she also had homemade chicken noodle soup, broccoli, cheese, soup, and turkey chili. She gave me samples of all three and all three were outstanding. What is really worth putting on the brakes for when you're traveling down route one is there fresh baked chocolate chip cookies you can either get the traditional chocolate chip cookies or one that has extremely generous amount of pecans in it. The sandwich and side were great. I'm not a Reuben sandwich guy, but it looked so good being prepared for another customer that I will try it on that marble rye bread next visit. I wish the pickle slice was bigger. However, the portion of Pastrami overshadowed the pickle and cold slaw side (which was rich and filling). This is an out of the way type establishment that if you're not looking you go right by and not be aware that it exist. Saw previous reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a try. The owners are friendly and provide outstanding customer service, the food is beyond expectations! I love the Reuben, had it with a side of potato salad which I loved and normally do not eat and also the kale salad which is a favorite. I also purchased a slice of cake that is moist, not too sweet and delicious! Without question, this was the most pleasant lunch experience I have had in a long time. The food was unbelievable. The presentation was over the top.
