Iced Honey Cinnamon latte
Tara L.

Long time Vigilante fan, first time reviewer. Since I'm not often nearby my beloved Vigilante, it's truly a treat whenever I can drop by. This past Saturday the shop was buzzing as it tends to be, filled with students back on campus. The parking lot was a bit chaotic, but I got lucky with scoring a spot. I ordered a honey cinnamon iced latte and although I was dreading a long wait (the place was packed) I was able to be in and out within about 10 mins. The latte hit and I was able to return to the beltway hustle with a little peace and caffeine. Thank you, Vigilante for always getting it right!

Yep! It's 100 degrees and I want my latte EXTRA hot :))))

Stopped by after picking up a salad next door! You could smell the delicious coffee in the air! So I had to stop by... Perfect afternoon pick me up after a much needed day of a little self care. Was greeting and welcomed promptly. I ordered a vanilla latte with cinnamon and Oat milk and an extra shot of espresso! Also going to try a delicious almond croissant after my workout! Wish there was a closer location to me...I love a good coffee shop! Happy Yelping!

Great coffee shop with a nice vibe and decor. We ordered a cappuccino and a macchiato. The cappuccino was creamy, well-balanced, and served at the perfect temperature. The espresso was smooth and mild -- not too bitter or sour. The service was average, as I waited over 10 minutes to receive my drink. Prices were reasonable for a small coffee shop. There is a seating area, but depending on the day and time, it can get very crowded and the music can be quite loud. It's not the best place if you're looking for a quiet spot to sit and read. There's a small parking lot in front of the shop, but spaces are limited. Some customers park briefly to grab drinks and leave, and if your car gets blocked in, you may need to wait before exiting.

Latte

My go to is their latte with oat milk, though I love a specialty drink, especially if it's not super sweet. This year the chai-nog was that drink. Creamy and spicy without too much sweetness. I often get my coffee beans from here. They print their roast date on the bottom of the bag (roasted at their hyattsville location) and they always have a great variety of beans. Occasionally I'll get an almond croissant and enjoy it if there's seating. On nice days, there are benches right outside, even with a view of the parking lot and the construction across the street, it can be nice. I enjoy this location, though parking is tight. If you're not lucky enough to get a spot, you can park next door in the paid lot behind the businesses right past Vigilante.

Great coffee shop, was in College Park so I decided to stop by for a cold brew and some beans to go. Nice service and the cold brew was ready very quickly. The beans were some of my favorite their El Salvador selection. Inside is small but has some seating. Overall a great place to get coffee and get some beans for home. The best coffee in the DMV

Half bagel with avocado, tomatoes

Really good. It's no wonder there's a constant line here. A bit packed and chaotic but the line and order comes quick. Small bathroom but decent. Not too many seats but we were able to find some. I parked a block away in the retail paid parking area and walked over. I got a half bagel with avocado, tomatoes, micro greens and balsamic vinaigrette. It was perfectly toasted and fresh. I got my matcha latte with oat milk at 50% sweetness and it was probably the best matcha latte I've ever had.... The sweetness was just right - there were chunks of matcha at the bottom but I thought it wasn't too bitter so I really enjoyed it. I rarely finish a hot drink in one sitting like that.

honey cinnamon latte with oatmilk!!! a special treat to myself

Vigilante brews are my favorite beans in Maryland so far. if I see a coffee shop sourcing their beans from Vigilante, i am there. you can't go wrong with any of their drinks. a classic hot latte will always be at the top for me. that way, you really get to taste the flavor of the beans! always a go to spot for me. ALSO!! the hyattsville location is amazing - they do a 30% discount on all drinks after 4pm; their "happy hour" which is perfect for broke college students like me haha

Iced London fog with oatmilk
Whitney L.

Still one of my favorite independent coffee shops. I've gone a total of two times but every time I go their coffee is on point. I got a small London fog iced with oatmilk and it was perfection. My boyfriend tried their tin Lizzie espresso in vanilla latte iced. I tried some and I enjoyed the hazelnut/earthy taste but has. Service was average. They actually forgot to make my boyfriend's drink and saw us waiting. But it came out quickly after they realized. The shop is pretty small. It's also quite noisy so not really my place to study.

Eimy B.

I ordered the honey cinnamon latte. It was served warm/cold, which was weird because I saw them make it and I picked it up when they called my name. I like my drinks hot and it was just odd that it was served on the colder side. Cute location. Maps took me behind the coffee shop and I had to pay for parking so make sure you stay on the main road and park in front of the shop for free parking. Nothing was exceptional here so I won't be back but it was fun to try.

It's the perfect balance of sweet and refreshing, packed with real mango flavor, creamy coconut milk, juicy mango chunks, and chewy sago pearls. It's my go-to treat, especially on a warm day. I also tried their Hong Kong-style egg waffle on my last visit, and it was amazing. Freshly made, crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, with that nostalgic buttery aroma that keeps you reaching for another bite. It paired perfectly with my Mango Sago.

First, their location is very inconvenient unless you are on foot, which may be great for U of MD students, but if you are in a car, its a disaster when it comes to parking. This business even has a sign saying ask about a parking pass and they are not responsible if your car is towed. This alone makes this place already super unattractive. I fought my instincts and gave this place a try, but honestly, felt like I wasted $12. They have a digital kiosk where you can order your drinks and I chose a HK style milk tea (hot) with less sugar and also a jasmine milk tea with boba. The ordering for the jasmine tea was weird because it has an option to choose $1 extra for boba but if you scroll a little further down, you can get boba, no extra charge. I thought that was a bit sneaky, which I didn't appreciate. I waited about 15 min and then my order was ready. The HK style milk tea was supposed to be in a glass container but I only saw the sign after I ordered that they didnt have glass containers. That really sucked. The other issue is that when my HK style milk tea (hot) was ready, it was barely warm, which also was disappointing as it was a bit cool outside and I wanted something hot to warm me up. The HK milk tea also wasn't that great either, nothing special. I've had HK milk teas for about $2 elsewhere and they were great, but this was overpriced and lukewarm. I wont be ordering this again. The other drink seemed OK as I ordered it for someone else. I also thought this place was kind of dirty and could have been more clean. Not sure why the windows looked so dirty. I found the place kind of gross and it just didnt feel as clean as I like businesses to be. Overall, a pretty underwhelming experience. You get one chance to make a good impression especially when there are so many boba options available. I definitely wont be coming back here again.

It took me a couple of years to check out the place because I wasn't sure if "Brews" meant they served coffee or beer. The service, especially by the woman who runs the place, is often chatty and friendly. The coffee is good. I highly recommend the mocha; they make the syrup from scratch using dark chocolate so it is not so overwhelmingly sweet. It's my favorite mocha in the area.
