Most people that know me, know I am obsessed with bubble tea or some would say boba tea. I've seen so many good reviews on Gong Cha, I was so excited when I ran across this while in the area! First of all the decor is adorbs! It's fun and chic at the same. It's located on campus in College Park which is next door to a Poké bowl place. The vibe of this place is fun, chill, and the music is a mix of old school and current songs. This was my first time here and Justin made my experience memorable. He was friendly and made great recommendations! My friend doesn't really care for boba but she enjoyed her mango slushy with boba and I loved my matcha slushy with boba. I saw them make my slushy and it appeared they put some type of cream in it and omg that made it taste so delicious! I wish there was a location closer to me. I don't mind making another trip to this one or the one in Rockville.

I stumbled upon Gong Cha whole hunting for a boba place that stayed open on Christmas Eve and was pleasantly surprised. It is located on Terrapin Row, inside the UMD campus. We ordered bubble tea which were all excellent! There are options on the menu that can be modified if discussed with the cashier, for instance I wanted a mango milk tea and although it wasn't on the menu I got what I wanted, so I really appreciated that accommodation! Ambiance is amazeballs! The interior is pretty and there are screens where you can plug in video games and enjoy. There is also a poki and ramen station, which I didn't order from but will most likely do so sometime in the future. Stop by for the pleasant service, amazing options, and beautiful interior.

First time coming here, parking was a bit complicated but worth it! Only got one drink - the mango yogurt drink with pearls. The bubbles were the best bubbles I've ever had! You have to try - Very good. Service was quick, took about 2 minutes to get my drink. Place was very nicely decorated. Would definitely come back!

This gong cha is located in a nice food court with tons of other Asian food options. Drinks are always well-made and the staff and nice and friendly!

    Cheers! Happy we stopped by.

Love this place!! Everyone is super helpful, it's fast and they don't mind explaining the menu, offering a taste and they always serve with a smile. We ventured out for a craving of the mango smoothie with strawberry foam and my qqPassionfruit special. It was delish! Also because if COVID-19 they have a temperature monitor that all you have to do is stand next to and it reads it within seconds!! WHAT AN AWESOME and SAFE WAY to serve customers and service! It totally eased the choice of stopping here and really took the nervousness to a calmer level and allowed me to enjoy my drink with ease. I think ALL ESTABLISHMENTS should follow this. It would help reduce contagion at least those who are high temp or feverish and need to stay home for quarantine during COVID-19. If you want a DELICIOUSLY SAFE DRINK, GO HERE!

My most beloved bubble tea place!! As a UMD student, I come here all the time--pretty much every week! It's located right off campus, and it's always crowded during the semesters, even on a weekday afternoon. The tea has great flavor, and the pearls are always cooked perfectly with just the right amount of syrup. I've tried the Pearl Milk Tea, Matcha Milk Tea, Brown Sugar Milk Tea, Oolong Milk Tea, Mango Green Tea, Passionfruit Green Tea, Honey Green Tea, Lemon Winter Melon Tea, Strawberry Green Tea, Mango Smoothie, Matcha Smoothie, Peach Yogurt Smoothie, and the Matcha Egg Waffle. (That's probably not all, actually lol). I'm rarely unhappy with a drink I order from here. The ones I've been more disappointed with have been some of the fruity teas that were a bit bland and lacked boldness of flavor. This hasn't happened often for me though. My favorites I've tried are probably the Brown Sugar Milk Tea drinks (super delicious though not the healthiest option!), Mango Smoothie, Matcha Smoothie, Strawberry Green Tea, and Honey Green Tea. The interior is very cool looking, and it has a decent seating area in the back! This is one of my favorite meetup spots to hang out with friends. However, like I said, it gets packed, not to mention it shares a building with two other food stands, so it's often pretty crammed. They play music (top hits) pretty loudly, which is fun, but it may not be the best place for intentional conversations or studying (although I do see people studying here pretty often).

This location is located under an apartment complex next to UMD campus. Great location for college students and perfect for their bubble tea craving. It's location alongside other Asian small eats so great to pair along with anything else. Drinks were good and reasonably priced!

Ive had more than my share of milk teas here in the US, overseas in the land of boba, Taiwan, and…read morein HK and this place sadly fell short of what it could be. First, their location is very inconvenient unless you are on foot, which may be great for U of MD students, but if you are in a car, its a disaster when it comes to parking. This business even has a sign saying ask about a parking pass and they are not responsible if your car is towed. This alone makes this place already super unattractive. I fought my instincts and gave this place a try, but honestly, felt like I wasted $12. They have a digital kiosk where you can order your drinks and I chose a HK style milk tea (hot) with less sugar and also a jasmine milk tea with boba. The ordering for the jasmine tea was weird because it has an option to choose $1 extra for boba but if you scroll a little further down, you can get boba, no extra charge. I thought that was a bit sneaky, which I didn't appreciate. I waited about 15 min and then my order was ready. The HK style milk tea was supposed to be in a glass container but I only saw the sign after I ordered that they didnt have glass containers. That really sucked. The other issue is that when my HK style milk tea (hot) was ready, it was barely warm, which also was disappointing as it was a bit cool outside and I wanted something hot to warm me up. The HK milk tea also wasn't that great either, nothing special. I've had HK milk teas for about $2 elsewhere and they were great, but this was overpriced and lukewarm. I wont be ordering this again. The other drink seemed OK as I ordered it for someone else. I also thought this place was kind of dirty and could have been more clean. Not sure why the windows looked so dirty. I found the place kind of gross and it just didnt feel as clean as I like businesses to be. Overall, a pretty underwhelming experience. You get one chance to make a good impression especially when there are so many boba options available. I definitely wont be coming back here again.

I've been ordering from here almost once a week since I found this place in August 2025, and I…read moreusually stick to my go-to: caramel milk tea with extra sugar, no boba. This time, I noticed they had a pho + milk tea combo, so I ordered it through the app. When my food arrived, I got the pho but there was no broth, just dry noodles. I also ordered beef pho with meatballs, and there were only two tiny meatballs, no beef at all, and the noodles were soggy and overcooked (and not how it looked in the photo advertised). My fiancé took it back so they could fix it. When he got there, he called me so I could speak to the worker. She told me, "I can pour some juice in it, but since you added meatballs, you'd have to buy another $14 combo to get beef because you didn't add beef to your pho." That made no sense why would I order another pho just to get what I already paid for? I told her I did add beef and asked her to check my receipt. She immediately cut me off, said "not my problem," and walked away. I was honestly in shock. I wasn't rude or yelling I just wanted my order corrected. It's just pho, but the customer service made the situation so much worse. She refused a refund or to give me her manager's information. Eventually, she handed my fiancé the soup, but the lid wasn't on correctly, so as soon as he got outside, it spilled all in the bag. At that point, I just threw it away. I'm honestly sad because I loved this place it's such a cute spot to study if you're a student, and the decor is really nice. But after this experience, I probably won't be coming back. I ended up having to order actual pho on Uber Eats, so I spent about $51 out of pocket for a replacement... which is insane in this economy i tried to call to get a hold of a manager to speak about the incident but their business phone number is suspended and is no longer in service I've attached a screenshot of my receipt below with the date to show that I did, in fact, order beef.

Then I saw the woman who came after me, got her drink after me. I was like, order for Shelly? Yet these employees want a tip each time you pay? The drink wasn't in a marked Aunt TeaBoba. It was in a plain plastic cup. No decorations or anything. The drink itself was awful. Didn't even taste like tiramisu. Completely watered down & looked nothing like the poster. Highly doubtful that I'll return. Bad service and product.
