The KF Milk Tea had ants frozen in the ice and inside the cups. When we walked in there was ants crawling at the front register.

There was ants in my drink which nobody would want that, and I hadn't realized after I finished drinking it, there's ants frozen in the ice, even crawling around the store , when we first walked in that's what we saw a ant on the front desk.

This place never gets old. Just updating my review with pictures. I would also recommend getting the red beans in your drink. It is amazing. I loved the mix of textures.

Went over after having a bad experience with another boba place and honestly liked it. The restaurant when I walked in was inviting. The service was fine and pretty average and the taro was a little bitter but nice and the tapioca pearls were great. Honestly would recommend as it's not the best but pretty good.

This is the only KFT location currently opened with COVID19 going on and I have to say I was very disappointed. Service is quick, but they are absolutely horrible at answer your telephone calls. I had an employee contact me, letting me know they were out of almond milk and the slush machine was broken. I told them I'd call them back to let them know if I would like to replace those two drinks (as they were for friends--I needed to call them first to ask). When I returned the store's phone call, no one picked up and if they did, connectivity was poor. By the time I got there, my boba was ready but the black pearls were so undercooked. It was extremely chewy and the texture was dense and hard. Maybe it was just a busy day for them, but I expected my drink to taste better and to have been properly communicated with.

This Kung Fu Tea is fairly small, right off the University of Maryland campus, and there's only metered and garage parking nearby. For the meter, coin (no credit cards or app) payment was required until 10pm, and we saw a diligent meter attendant eagerly looking for a "gotcha" moment. The customer base is almost all college students (we were alumni of the school at least!). Inside, there are a few armchairs by the window, a few long communal tables in the center, and a few two-person cocktail tables along the right wall. The tea shop was not busy when we arrived--no one in line and about 15% of the seats were full. The menu was high up on the wall to the left side, clear and brightly lit. My friends and I ordered without any difficulty, and the cashier was friendly, helpful, and patient. You can pay with the LevelUp app, and if you pay by credit card, this business uses Revel (via iPad) to process the point-of-sale transaction. There was enough seats for the four of us, and as time passed the tea shop grew sporadically busy with bursts of college students packing all at once, in alternating with dry spells where no customer entered for 10-15 minutes. They have a restroom but I didn't have a need. Overall, good place if you want to feel old!

Don't bother getting your drinks at this CP location because they won't respect you or your time. I love Kung Fu Tea, so it breaks my heart to give such a bad review. My most recent experience was beyond horrible. I ordered on the app at 4:24pm for me to pick up at 4:54pm. I arrived at the restaurant and went straight to the pick-up area. There were a few customers waiting, and some were ordering at the counter. With four employees at a small store, I thought they'd have somewhat of a system. They didn't. The other customers got their drinks before me, which was unfair since I ordered on the app for a faster experience. I didn't get that. Not once did the workers ask "what was I waiting for?" or "have I been helped?" Mind you I was waiting pretty close already. The girl just kept calling out orders without ever greeting me or looking at me! Until I stepped all the way up to the counter past the red line just to get their attention. Order was then passed to me at 5:10pm. They did not apologize. On top of the delay, my Mango Snow was missing the mango jelly. What a joke.

Y'all I'm a glutton for punishment I guess because I came back due to completely forgetting my last experience and I was in the area. Waste of time and money. Once again ordered the same drink...once again no milk cap. What made it worse was I came into the store with NO ONE present and the drink took 10 minutes due to training ...fine. But when I received my drink and showed them the order I was told "oh...we don't have that here". Then take it off the menu !! I've literally put a ‍ next to this location so I won't make this mistake again.

Review #240 - 2019 After our quick stop at the Peace Cross, I was in the mood for some KFT to sweeten my day! We showed up around 12:45 PM on Sunday, September 1st, and there were only 2-3 people inside so we were able to place our orders right away. I got my usual, of course! It's not easy to find a longan jujube drink at any other tea shop so I was trying to max out my ability to drink it as often as I possibly could while I was close to a KFT. My drink was made exactly the way I like it! This location was actually kind of weird. The ceilings are really high & it should have an open feel, but for some odd reason, it seems really gloomy and dim. Maybe it's just the people in there that seemed unhappy, but it just didn't have that "bright" feeling that I normally get when I walk into a KFT.

    The drink

Very nice!! I really love this place and I get my bubble drink here, it tastes so good and good service but I don't know on ordering it. The designs is cute and the place is small and warm with dark colors and a tint of color :) Over all it's not bad but shouldn't be hated. But the bathroom is mid

    Taro tea with bubbles
    Toya J.

Thought I had tasted good bubble tea until I had Kung Fu Tea. This place is the real deal. I tried the Taro Milk tea with the black bubbles. The tea is delicious and the bubbles are even sweet, making the drink a lot more enjoyable. I did not realize that Kung Fu steeps their tea in-house and all those other places that I thought I had good tea from were using concentrated powders. I'm watching empty calories. Although, I enjoy these teas once in a while, you gotta watch the calories or do some exercise during that day to make it worth your while. These teas are somewhere around 400 to 450 calories (high in carbs /low in protein/high in fat). When you go to their website you won't find much info on the nutrition. Definitely want to get out and try some other variations like the Kung Fu Matcha Tea and Passion Fruit Slush. I was so overwhelmed with all the choices, but in the window there is this Top 10 Kung Fu Tea poster, that's where I saw the Taro Milk and it turned out to be a great choice. Only thing is I wish they had savory snacks like the location in Germantown, I love the popcorn chicken, spicy and seasoned with basil. The sitting space here is very wide and open. Nice place to have an informal meeting or just to get together with friends. I didn't see a lot of people here, but it was a weeknight. I can imagine it may get busy from time to time. Staff is nice and full of suggestions. Parking best in the garage or metered along the back street.

Cute new bbtea place near UMD. Can't go wrong with their KF black milk tea or KF green milk tea! Great place to hang out with friends! The interior is cute! They have adorable monkey pillows on their lounge chairs.

I was in the area for a meeting and during our break, my sorority sisters and I stopped by for a few drinks. I ordered the large KF Milk Tea with boba. I didn't have to wait too long (about 3-4 minutes) and was happy to know that they didn't have a minimum $ to purchase for using a credit card. AND they have a loyalty stamp card. FTW! The staff was friendly and we received our drinks quickly. My bubble tea was delicious! I liked that this location is spacious and the decor was beautiful. I don't come to College Park often, but when I do, I'll make sure to stop by.

update: apparently none of the drinks under milk cap have a milk cap and the caramel comes melted

Ive had more than my share of milk teas here in the US, overseas in the land of boba, Taiwan, and…read morein HK and this place sadly fell short of what it could be. First, their location is very inconvenient unless you are on foot, which may be great for U of MD students, but if you are in a car, its a disaster when it comes to parking. This business even has a sign saying ask about a parking pass and they are not responsible if your car is towed. This alone makes this place already super unattractive. I fought my instincts and gave this place a try, but honestly, felt like I wasted $12. They have a digital kiosk where you can order your drinks and I chose a HK style milk tea (hot) with less sugar and also a jasmine milk tea with boba. The ordering for the jasmine tea was weird because it has an option to choose $1 extra for boba but if you scroll a little further down, you can get boba, no extra charge. I thought that was a bit sneaky, which I didn't appreciate. I waited about 15 min and then my order was ready. The HK style milk tea was supposed to be in a glass container but I only saw the sign after I ordered that they didnt have glass containers. That really sucked. The other issue is that when my HK style milk tea (hot) was ready, it was barely warm, which also was disappointing as it was a bit cool outside and I wanted something hot to warm me up. The HK milk tea also wasn't that great either, nothing special. I've had HK milk teas for about $2 elsewhere and they were great, but this was overpriced and lukewarm. I wont be ordering this again. The other drink seemed OK as I ordered it for someone else. I also thought this place was kind of dirty and could have been more clean. Not sure why the windows looked so dirty. I found the place kind of gross and it just didnt feel as clean as I like businesses to be. Overall, a pretty underwhelming experience. You get one chance to make a good impression especially when there are so many boba options available. I definitely wont be coming back here again.

This time, I noticed they had a pho + milk tea combo, so I ordered it through the app. When my food arrived, I got the pho but there was no broth, just dry noodles. I also ordered beef pho with meatballs, and there were only two tiny meatballs, no beef at all, and the noodles were soggy and overcooked (and not how it looked in the photo advertised). My fiancé took it back so they could fix it. When he got there, he called me so I could speak to the worker. She told me, "I can pour some juice in it, but since you added meatballs, you'd have to buy another $14 combo to get beef because you didn't add beef to your pho." That made no sense why would I order another pho just to get what I already paid for? I told her I did add beef and asked her to check my receipt. She immediately cut me off, said "not my problem," and walked away. I was honestly in shock. I wasn't rude or yelling I just wanted my order corrected. It's just pho, but the customer service made the situation so much worse. She refused a refund or to give me her manager's information. Eventually, she handed my fiancé the soup, but the lid wasn't on correctly, so as soon as he got outside, it spilled all in the bag. At that point, I just threw it away. I'm honestly sad because I loved this place it's such a cute spot to study if you're a student, and the decor is really nice. But after this experience, I probably won't be coming back. I ended up having to order actual pho on Uber Eats, so I spent about $51 out of pocket for a replacement... which is insane in this economy i tried to call to get a hold of a manager to speak about the incident but their business phone number is suspended and is no longer in service I've attached a screenshot of my receipt below with the date to show that I did, in fact, order beef.
